Approaching the pines they will feel unsettled and most people are driven away by that fear alone. But tho
se who are curious, or maybe even more afraid of something else roam further inside and are trapped in th
e pines. Those born inside the forest are often abnormal, having strange physical traits, or even some stran

────────── Weather ──────────
(Sky) the sky is void, beyond the pines is only darkness. The day and night are marked by lighter and dimm
er circumstances, and no moon is ever really seen to help mark time. (Rain) rain often falls from the sky in
odd ways, sideways, horizontal, dancing down to the ground, sometimes even rising back into the sky. (Lig
ht) while the sun never reaches the forest, light is still abundant in odd forms. Clouds of glowing fog roam
the forest, pillars of light shining from the ground, orbs of light that dance around each other. (Fire) rando
mly sparks will star emitting from nothing, after several days of sparks a fire will start, growing rapidly. Ev
en after starting fires emit electricity, often striking further outwards. (Snow) points in the ground will beg
in to glow a soft white, slowly snow and ice will begin to grow from those spots, until the area around the
m is covered in dense snow, with pillars of ice showing the origin of the cold abnormality. (Seasons) the te
mperature fluctuates rapidly, once every month the world will change to another season. What determines
a season is random. Usually, it just dictates an extended period of a temperature or weather condition.
───────────Terrain───────────
(The pines) the forest is filled with strange and fanciful creatures. It is consists of lakes, pines forests, clea
rings and occasionally buildings. It is endless and after a day of roaming, you will eventually find yourself s
traight back to where you started. (Breathable lakes) although inside them are hungry fishes, despite the h
orrors and threats, learning to live in these lakes would offer the closest thing to home anyone could imagi
ne. (Inky water) Pools of strange black ink like water will show up overnight. They are incredibly deep desp
ite look like nothing more than a puddle. Anything that touches it becomes invisible for 2 days before comi
ng back into existence. if you are fully submerged you die. (Buildings) Occasionally you will find concrete b
uildings, they seem small on the outside but once inside they are an endless maze, difficult to escape.xxxx

────────── Creatures ──────────
(Kitsune)- a breed of fox often featuring more than one tail. They all seem to fall into having a strong conn
ection with either order or chaos. The powerful foxes fall into two categories; Zenko, benevolent good kits
une and Yako, malicious and mischievous kitsune. (Black shuck)- a canine creature which appears complet
ely black and ghost-like with red eyes that softly glow. It appears at night like a vision to those who are do
omed to die within the year. Despite its appearance, most people describe it as bringing great comfort and
company. It will follow anyone alone around and while it doesnt speak or even move it will stay by the side
of the animal who will die. As quick as it appears it leaves not long after, vanishing to whatever realm it ca
lls its own. (Jackalopes) rabbits with horns, often seen leading mundane rabbits through the pines. For eve
ry rabbit colony, there are at least one or two jackalopes. Most people have known to associate them with
good luck and fortune- killing them is difficult, as an unknown voice inside you will always scream against
it. (Peryton) very few stags or deer exist in the pines and if you ever do come across one it is most likely o
ne of the many perytons that stalks the forest. While not hunting large canines, peryton are carnivores and
will hunt any small dogs, pups or prey animals. (Wendigo) strange humanoid creatures that stalk the forest
during the colder months when snow falls. While hazardous to humans that stumble into the pine forest, th
ey will mostly leave the creatures of the forest alone. As long as you leave them alone, the wendigo that p
asses through will leave you alone too. (Madremonte) a large human woman, covered in leaves and moss, h
er eyes glowing and hair a mess of plants and moss. She is regarded as a ruler of wind, rain and vegetation.
Those who cross her are often found lost and confused, swearing that the plants had turned on them. She i
s often blamed for the disappearance of infants. (Pheonix) Little sparrow-like creatures that often flitter a
cross the black sky like little stars, glowing softly. They have long flowing tail feathers that are rather pret
ty and regarded as good luck to those who collect them. (Paper birds) Little birds made of paper, extremel
y friendly, and companionable. They appear to be origami and it's not really known where they come from.
During bad weather, they disappear but anytime the conditions in the pines are hospitable for paper the lit
tle paper birds come out to play.
