There are only two ways to be part of a pack. Wolves are born into it, or wolves join after separating from their old pack. Wolves live in packs, in which they hunt,protect, fight and care with each other . Some packs have been around for generations, and some for barely a year. Each wolf in a pack is essential to the rest, even though not all wolves realize this. When a new wolf joins a pack they must first move them self to their surrounding wolves, and then work their way up the chain. Thankfully in this pack all wolves started out as new member to the group, so they all have a idea of what its like.More than often you hear about packs that fail and crumble, and rare do you find the tale of a pack that does the opposite, a pack that is prospering and accepting.◢

Since this is a semi-literate role play I expect AT LEAST 6 well-written sentences. Sentences should be 10+ words or more to be counted as a sentence. So each post should at least be 60 words. I also wish that your posts are 'pretty' or well formatted. By this I mean with some sort of code, and different colors.
Owners
I will be naming a co-owner when enough people join, and you will be treating them with the same respect you treat me. And that means no rudeness, fighting or complaining about them or me. If you have a issue with the co-owner, i ask you bring it up with myself. {Will most likely become Alpha if wanted.}
Wolves
Please, create one male and one female. I hate when role plays have a extreme amount of one gender and non of the other.
Drama
This is a role play, so i expect drama. What i don't want is wolves being born after 2 hours, wolves dieing every few posts, extreme drama over crushes and mates and other things like that. Also, please be realistic. A single wolf can not bring down a pack of moose....Nor can they jump a wall of fire. They can not have rainbow colors or wings. Also, no arriving with mates/pups.

Alpha
The Alpha is the leader of the pack, they try their best to keep up with the going ons within the pack. They see each of the pack members as family and make important decisions that reflect the growth and welfare of the pack. The Alpha creates the rules for the pack and makes sure they are properly enforced. Alpha decides on ranking, courting, assessments, and banishment of wolves.

Beta
The Beta wolf is the second ranking individual within the dominance hierarchy. They show commitment and loyalty to the pack, also acting as a discipliner to reinforce the Alpha's decisions. The Betas stand in as Alpha when the Alphas are not present.In pack meetings, the Betas' answers and suggestions are the second most important, being trusted advisers to the Alpha, only thinking for the good of the pack as a whole.

Delta
The Delta wolf is a wolf in training for Beta position. They are third in rank to Alpha and Beta. Delta's do not hold the authority to call medium or large Hunts. When this is the case, if ever the current Beta is removed from their rank, steps down, changes rank, or leaves the pack, the Delta may take the place as the new Beta at the Alpha's request.

Hunters
The Hunters are those wolves who are exceptionally skilled at tracking and hunting down prey. They can range from 1 year to 5 years, large or small, but it is mainly their skill as a Hunter that counts. The Hunters make sure that the Pack has a full abundance of food. After large hunts, the lead Hunter will memo with an update of the food available .

Scouts
Scouts are responsible for warning the Pack of dangerous territory outside the clearing, if any. Scouts are mainly wolves known by neighboring packs and visit around often. They stay in touch with other packs and keep friendly relations. They are to report any important changes to the Alpha and Beta. They are known as well as the protectors of the pack, as they will in worst case be first line fighters, as there is no rank specifically for fighting.

Caretakers
A wolf that shows interest and skill in caring for weakened pack mates. They also watch over the older or ill wolves of the Pack. The Caretaker of the Pack ensures when any wolf is wounded, they recover properly not putting to much stress on their wounds. They serve as a support unit, and try to keep the pack in a healthy state.

Omega
The Omega of the pack is lowest ranking wolf. The Omega is usually a young wolf that is very new to pack life and still learning, a wolf that has been lowered in rank due to wrong actions, a loner when first joining the pack, or a Re-Evaluated Wolf (one who left the Pack once and was accepted back into the Pack after a period of re-evaluation).

{The start of the winter had not been kind. It had been two weeks into winter and not yet any snow, though there had been ALOT of rain. The pack ground was nothing but mud , and the river and creek were overflowing and running dangerously. Tempest awoke in the morning cold as she had been in the last few weeks, and not much less soggy. But the day continued. The small alpha crossed the trail from her den and into the pack center ground. So far the pack had held together quite successfully but something told her the winter was only going to get worse. Today the dark clouds looked darker, and the ground muddier. By the time she had made it to the center of camp her under pelt was covered in mud, as with all down her legs. Mostly from behind so close to the ground. A dim light through the clouds revealed it to be a few hours before high-noon, and the alpha had overslept as there was no sunshine or bird calls which served as her normal wake-up call.}

{Foalan sat under a old tree on the edge of a clearing, his head resting on his paws as he watched the campground carefully. It wasn't until he heard a yelp from behind a few trees that he looked up, only to see his smaller sister walking back into the camp with a dirt cloud behind her. "Paw given you some issues Tempy?" He asked, a hint of snark in his tone. He rested his head back on his paws as Tempest tucked her tail slightly underneath herself and lowered her head in embarrassment, and he wrote it off with a small smirk. She was his younger sister after all, if even by a minute or two. He watched, one eye open, as his younger sister continued on her way to the clearing. He then turned back towards a small creek in the camp and trotted down a narrow trail to a pebbled bank that ran on a crescent through the territory. He saw in the water a lone fish, way out of its way as the water wasn't high enough for many fish to travel through yet. So instead he sat wondering how it got so upstream. }

Senka stared up at the sky watching for any birds that were flying above. She knew she wouldn't be able to catch any, but she had hoped that any of them would land on the forest floor. She lowered her head to the ground, looking for the scent of any prey that could be near her. She had caught the scent of a rabbit and followed it silently through the trees. She finally caught the sight of two, large, white ears of the rabbit. She crouched down watching the rabbit getting ready to pounce at the right moment.

Ekaitz walked towards the entrance of the pack center. He had come back from scouting and decided that he was going to go check the borders again. He was going to see if he could meet up with any of the other scouts to form a scouting party, but he had seen none the time that he had returned to the pack. Finally, he left and stalked towards the borders. He looked around at the bare trees that seemed to be lifeless and the small bushes surrounding him. Without him realizing he had made it to the borders of their territory and he immediately started to recheck all the border marks.

• Orabelle’s eyes fluttered open as she awoke from her sleep. Sighing, the white she-wolf stretched and shook off the moisture that had gathered on her coat throughout the night. She was thankful for the late winter- it left her with more time to stock up on supplies while plants were still healthy. They wouldn’t last long, but it was an opportunity she hadn’t had last year. Her eyes scanned the clearing as she wandered to camp center, approaching Tempest. She dipped her head in greeting and spoke to the Alpha. “How are you feeling?” She asked, knowing the other female had been having some problems with her paw lately. She’d noticed the Alpha’s more frequent limping and has seen flashes of pain in her eyes when she stepped on it wrong. She wasn’t about to call Tempest our directly, but was hoping to draw It out of the older female so that Orabelle could help her.

• the large brute flicked his ears as his eyes opened, frowning at the gray skies. It had been raining non stop for the past few days, and while he disliked the cold, he couldn’t wait for the first snow. A change from the damp weather would definitely be a welcome change. Jax flicked his tail, sitting up within the den. He wasn’t too eager to step out into the bustling camp quite yet, instead enjoying his short time alone before someone came to fetch him. His golden eyes watched the pack from afar. He could feel a cough rise in his chest. Being the brave soul that he was, he suppressed it, growling at the thought of sickness. He wasn’t about to get all weak and frail before winter. He wasn’t going to allow himself to get sick and need the assistance of the pack’s caretakers- he didn’t need to be seen as another’s inconvenience within the small group of wolves. Jax had fought hard enough to get a place within the pack in the first place, even as the lowly rank of omega.

{ Tempest snapped out of a glazed stare at the surrounding sky onto the small infront of her. It was odd being an alpha to a pack, even after she had been for the last two years. Tempest was smaller, and never intended on being an alpha. When it was just her brother and herself she had begun to help wolves who she found while travelling, and with that created a form of moving pack. When they found a land to form their own, more came, and it was just assumed she would take lead. Foalan, her brother, was much too playful and carefree. The small fae dipped her head politely in response before responding carefully, "As well as I currently can be with this dreary weather. I hope to send the hunters out later today to search for game, which will hopefully rise the pack's spirits in the upcoming week." The winter had been harsh already, and but there was little the alpha could do. She knew, in all honesty, if anyone challenged her rank in the pack she would lose. A hidden defect in her foot kept her unstable and weak, but over time she had found ways to hide it. Only family knew, and if she could keep it that way, thats how it would stay. }

{Foalan watched the fish intensely, which seemed to not move for an entire minute, and then bolt in one direction or another. It was truthfully amazing how an animal so small could live a life entirely on its own. It was an interesting concepts, the idea of survival. Foalan had eaten enough fish to understand they had brains, which would control their instincts, but what was the purpose of their life? Was there one? Foalan rose from the river bank pebbles and shook out his coat, stepping closer to the water with his snout close to the surface. He snatched at the water, catching the lone fish between his jaws. A life ended. As simply as that. }

indentationMhairi was always the last thing on his mind before he slipped into a deep slumber, and the first thing that occurred to him after the first rosy drop of dawn. Perhaps as her littermate, he had always felt more at home with not one, but four other bodies pressed up against him and he felt a need to remedy this new feeling of emptiness by worrying over his sister. The large thick-pelted male certainly worried a lot over her. Whether it was about her pressuring herself, or how she was interacting with other wolves, he always found a source of concern. In all honesty, it wasn't typical of Aidan to have these nudging thoughts. He was never a worrier, and wasn't about to become one anytime soon.

What he did need to focus on, was his role as a scout in the pack. Everyone needed to pull their weight and Aidan was no exception, hence he tugged his sleep-laden body out of his snug sleeping spot at the base of an old oak in the corner of camp, and shook himself firmly so frost crystals flew. Eager to get more blood pumping through his system, the young wolf stretched till his joints popped. Keen, gleaming brown eyes swept over the camp at the other wolves who were either still sleeping, or already beginning to stir. As usual, some instinct told him to look out for Mhairi, and he spotted her lying at her spot as Delta, eyes wide and ears pricked. Aidan was tempted to make her notice her younger brother, though only by a mere minute, and surreptitiously caught her eye, waving his tail in a small greeting. He was pleased when she didn't write him off but instead nodded. Perhaps he was making some progress.

Suddenly aware of how the cold clung bitterly to his fur, Aidan rolled his shoulders and carried on further into camp, seeking a fellow scout he could patrol with.

indentationMhairi was awake and quiet. It wasn't a habit of hers to actively seek out others who had also awoken, for she much rather remain silent at this early hour of the morning. Her throat felt dry and raspy as rough snake coils from disuse, and she pushed out a breath, watching it spiral away in a puff of misty white. Where she touched the chilly found underfoot, her pelt seemed to melt into the snow, but that was where the similarities ended. The off-white, greyish marble hues of her fur looped around a slender figure that had now stretched out itself luxuriously.

She caught sight of her little brother a distance away, already up and moving and seemingly glancing in her direction. Mhairi huffed and threw a nod in his way, to which he responded with apparent satisfaction. In many ways Aidan could be seen as more mature than she was, though they were both young adults. He always found it in him to get up quickly, for one thing. Flicking her ears, Mhairi diverted her attention elsewhere to where Tempest was conversing with Orabelle, a caretaker. It wasn't her place to cut in, so the she-wolf simply watched them with those large, unblinking golden-amber eyes.
