` israe's dawn [wip, dnp]

Postby leopardus » Sat May 19, 2018 7:11 am

      a major work in progress.

      characters and creatures.
        • canines; wolf-like canids, not exactly wolves, but very similar. omnivorous.
↳ breeding with dogs might have resulted in their omnivorous diet.
↳ living in groups called coalitions, guilds, fractions. no official word yet.
↳ preying upon larger animals than them; mainly carnivorous. consumption of plants and berries isn't uncommon.
↳ there is a hierarchy. high ranking: aelph, deputare, medicus, etc. low ranking: welfs, broods, alescares. most of them are ordains, which are subordinates.
↳ believing in ancient deities; gods and goddesses. some used names.
nome was deemed a hell hound with his insides consisting of lava and rock, and was created by the devil to destroy the skies or heavens to make it connected with the underworld. he was given the wings of a fallen angel, which had turned a dark grey from decay, that were attached onto him. (folklore of the canines)
other deities: nym, reece, murv, and more to come.
        • mass extinction of some species of animals; few remaining 'past' species.
evolved prey animals: rabbits, deer, etc. evolved predators: big cats, bears, etc.
↘ rabbits have larger back legs and greater hearing, and are somewhat difficult to catch.
↘ deer are a little larger. bucks have two sets of antlers, one that is massive and one that is smaller with few palms. does also have antlers, but only one set that are small and narrow. fawns don't have antlers at all.
↘ each species of big cat have fangs sticking out of their maw, sizes of the fangs vary among species. lions have smaller fangs.
↘ the few remaining lesser cats have not changed drastically in physical appearance, only in size.
↘ bears are now primarily herbivorous, preferring to eat fruits and plants, but also rarely eat meat. they are still dangerous.
↳ dogs are thought to be extinct, but might have bred with the other canines, resulting in the change of some species.

      setting, worlds and themes.
        • the earth is one massive super continent, once like pangaea.
↳ humans call this super continent israe.
↳ there are only two main oceans: equinex of the west and parla of the east.
↳ land and biomes are merged together. the north is colder than the south, the climate and landscape changes as one travels. there are no remaining arid deserts, cold deserts are existent.
↳ weather changes consistently. the seasons are thrown out of wack and are a bit inconsistent than the other.
        • degenerative evolution of future.
↳ humans take on a tribal lifestyle. there are no more cities, states, etc.
think of the game, horizon zero dawn. its something like that but not really.

      plots and stories.
        • might have something to do with a prophecy.
↳ a tale of two siblings, brothers, sisters. one is good and the other is bad.
↳ mysterious death of one canine that causes others to believe the gods are punishing them. forcing them to become paranoid.
        • something happens to one coalition/etc's homeland and causes for them to move to a different place, forcing them to learn how to adapt to this new domain. maybe having run-ins with other coalitions.
↳ roleplay may begin with them in the midst of traveling to their new home.
↳ roleplay may begin after they settle down to their new home.
        • mysterious death of one canine that causes others to believe the gods are punishing them. forcing them to become paranoid.
↳ a lost in faith of their religion or beliefs.
