"Those were the last words of Swiftstar, as he joined StarClan after
his final life had faded away.
He had lost the majority of his lives because of two-legs and their
murderous weapons.
Swiftstar was the son of Ashstar, a line of brilliant leaders ran pure
in the winged clan... not all related of course.
Because now I am the leader, and I know I'm not ready.

My name is Leafstar. Before Swiftstar died, he had assigned me
as his deputy, even though I had only become a warrior
two moons beforehand. Many older cats in the clan disagreed
with his choice and after he died, there was an outcry that
I was too young and inexperienced to lead them.

But now it's my turn to prove that I can be a good leader...
That I can make this new home we have found in the valley
where the lights stretch across the night sky
our home..."

‣ you do not have to have any knowledge of what happened in the original distantclan role-play.
all you need to know is that the cats have wings. that's it. if you want to take a look at the original
one, please click here.

‣ please note that this version will be way more literate than the original, so i expect a paragraph of a good length per character please. i think this is reasonable. {i don't expect you to write something for a character that has nothing to do! i'm not that mean c:}

‣ please don't make your characters super powerful. flaws, weaknesses and different strengths and
abilities are widely accepted.

‣ there's some terminology you need to know. kits cannot fly until their wings have fully developed
when they are around five moons old. on another note, some kits grow faster and some grow
slower than others. 'airpaw' is a term used for warriors and apprentices who prefer to fly when
going on patrols and hunts. it is a general term and is not offensive.

‣ you have unlimited characters, just as long as you can handle them all.

‣ you cannot be mates within your own characters and it'll be respected if you and another participant
don't have your cats fall in love and have kits the moment they see each other.
it happened quite often in the previous role-play, i don't want it happening again.

‣ god-modding and power-playing is not allowed here. play your own characters and don't give
them mighty powers to destroy the world or anything... {XD}

‣ keep everything PG-13 please. this is still a website for kids.

Personality:
Leafstar is a very talented she-cat, to say the least. Despite being such a young leader, she is an amazing hunter and fighter. This is probably why Swiftstar had picked her to be his deputy, even though she had only become a warrior two moons beforehand. Some elders think that she is the reincarnation of Leafstep, who was one of Ashstar's {Swiftstar's father's} deputies, but she was brutally murdered by a fellow clan member. Leafstar definitely has Leafstep's ambition and leadership skills, but they also share a likeliness in being timid.

History:
Leafstar was born in a litter of one, it was just her. Her mother, Dovestream, considered herself infertile before Leafstar was born, so it came as a surprise when she was born. In fact, the whole time she was pregnant, Dovestream thought she was getting fat, so when she went into labour, she had no idea what was going on. At the same time Leafstar was born, Ashstar- who was slowly going insane and on his last life- brutally murdered Leafstep, his deputy. This supports the elder's belief that she is Leafstep's reincarnation, because her life had ended too early. Leafstar lived the rest of her life as normal, although she was an apprentice a little longer than most, only becoming a warrior when she was sixteen moons old. Two moons later, Swiftstar appointed her as his deputy. And only a little while afterwards did he die. Leafstar had to take on her responsibilites quickly, and some people doubt she can do it.

Name: Eaglefoot {Eaglekit, Eaglepaw}

Personality:
Eaglefoot is quite solitary, but he considers himself quite popular. He is very confident, perhaps too confident for his own good. He is an 'airpaw' and is quite unique because he has wings similar to a bat rather than a bird. He enjoys hunting birds and other flying prey. When it comes to climbing trees, he is quite heavy footed, therefore he is not very agile. This is also because he was born with a bobtail, unlike most other cats in the clan with long tails. His bobtail doesn't allow for much balance when it comes to climbing. Because of his bat wings, he is able to fly when his wings are wet- which cannot be achieved by other warriors because feathers are very heavy when they are full of water.

History:
Born into a litter of six, it was easy to become lost in the crowd of his littermates. Four females and two males, one of them being himself. Although, they were all born in early leafbare, when greencough was rising throughout the camp, three of his littermates died to illness or the cold. Surviving through kithood, their apprenticeships and now warriors, there's just Eaglefoot and his two older sisters Foxfur and Mistpool.

Personality:
Like a fox, Vixenpaw is very sly and knows how to string her words together. However, she is very kind and knows how to keep her friends close... and her enemies closer. However, as she is only seven moons old, Vixenpaw hasn't really made any enemies. Perhaps when she is older, as she finds it easy to dislike cats who are rude and ignorant and do not follow the warrior code. Vixenpaw is also quite anxious and distances herself from others because of her past. Vixenpaw is not a good flier and therefore she prefers to do her hunting and fighting on the ground. In fact, she can barely fly two metres off the ground before her wings falter and she has to land.

History:
Vixenpaw was found wandering around DistantClan territory when she was just three moons old, although she already had wings, despite not being born in DistantClan. Her story is that she was the only survivor of another winged clan who was wiped out by a pack of dogs that attacked in the middle of the night. She cannot remember much about her parents and littermates, but she knows that she misses them and loves them. Leafstar allowed Vixenpaw into the clan and she spent the rest of her kithood in the medicine cat den because she was recovering from a fever she had when she was found. She became an apprentice on time though and is now training hard.

Streamfrost has a very tough exterior, being known as the fearless warrior throughout the clan. A natural leader, Streamfrost is stern, but fair at the same time, and is able to handle pressure while tasked with making important decisions. However, the she cat is actually quite a perfectionist, and puts a lot of stress on herself, thinking that she is fully responsible for everything. But though she looks tough on the outside, Streamfrost is actually very sweet and gentle on the inside. She really enjoys long walks, spring, being out in the open, and running, but the she cat devotes most of her time to hunting and patrolling. As well as that, the she cat loves kits, and hopes to have some one day, but her insecurity and degration of herself makes her think that she isn't good enough to have a mate though. Once you get past her general nervousness, stress, and her inability to relax, Streamfrost is a friendly she cat, who just hasn't shown her real self to the world yet.

Hawkpaw is what the clan cats call a 'brave old soul.' Brave, brash, loyal, and courageous is your first impression of this airpaw, but in reality he does more thinking than fighting. He loves to find a small quiet secluded spot to sit down and just think. Think about battle strategies, or that leak in the roof, think about when green leaf would come, think about new hunting techniques, or a border patrol system, or the intricate designs of the spiderweb near the apprentice's den (far left corner). This young old soul has a lot to think about, and tends to daydream easily because of his attention to detail. However, that doesn't mean he's cowardly, or afraid- he'll protect his friends and family with his life.

history, full of abandon

Blackhope is a brave, feisty cat, always brave, never giving up, and, well, your usual out of order cat. Let's just say you don't wanna get on her bad side. She's kind - when, and to who, she wants to - and strong minded, but she's a fast thinker and cautious, always thinking twice about everyone, and never underestimating anyone. Blackhope is a very trustworthy cat, and once you've gained her trust, she'll fight for you, and will care for you with all her love. Blackhope is a very good friend to have. But a terrible enemy to make. Her past makes her individual. Her personality makes her... unique.
