Your paws crunch softly on the hardening leaves of the forest floor. Senses alerted, you pad forward towards noises in a nearby clearing, known as the Flamepool. You're almost certain you heard cats talking inside the clearing, and it's near enough to your home to be part of your territory. You scramble up a tree and glance down, and in the clearing are two sleek, lean, cats. One is black, blending into the darkness of the night, and the other is a grey tabby, her coat camouflaging her. Your paws slip, and you tumble from the tree. The black cat is at your throat in an instant, pinning you down before you even have a chance to fight back. You kick up at him feebly, but that only rewards you with a nip to the ear from the tabby. The black cat presses his mouth to your ear, his teeth digging into it as he whispers to you. "Why are you here? What are you doing here?" You open your mouth to reply, but the last thing you remember is a sharp pain in your lungs and jaw.

You awaken with your paws sweating and your mouth dry. The Flamepool is the telling place for the medicine cats, the very thing your clan is named after. The sky will be dark in almost half a moon, and you suspect the black cat and the tabby will be there.

Rules:

All of Tess's rules apply.
Try to keep your posts longer than 4 sentences. If they're slightly shorter it's ok, but this is under Semi-lit and Lit+.
No being your own mentor/mate/crush.
Don't beg for positions such as deputy and leader. You can ask once, but not more than once.
I will choose who goes to the gathering. Please don't ask.
Try not to post multiple messages at the same time, one after the other with none in-between. It just crams the RolePlay to write two or three instead of one, especially if you have a signature.
Try to stay active or notify me if you won't be.
Please don't bump. I know it's fun, but we can make a separate forum specifically for that if that's what you want to do.
No swearing, except for warrior curses such as mousebrain or foxdung.
You can make as many cats as you want as long as you specify which you're playing for and stay active with all of them.
Have fun! This is supposed to be a fun thing, so if someone's fighting with you just walk away.

Territory:
We live in a forest near a large river. Near to our camp is the mystical "FlamePool", where the medicine cats have their cermonies.

The FlamePool
The exact location of the FlamePool is unknown to the warriors and the deputy. Only the Leader, the medicine cat, and the medicine cat's apprentice know where it is because they have to have access to it for ceremonial purposes.

The clan has just won a battle against the unfamiliar "Masked clan". Injured cats include: Feathertail, Fallenleaves, and Firebird. Firepaw became a warrior (Firebird).

This is mine from another roleplay, so you might recognize it.

A she-cat with glistening grey fur streaks between the trees, and you wonder about her. Her head pops out again, and you see a pair of luminous orange eyes, striking against the leafy backdrop of the forest. Her eyes are her namesake. Her ears flatten as you come towards her, and she disappears again to appear higher up with a rustling of leaves. Her tail twitches playfully, and her velvety black nose twitches.
Her name is Firepaw. Her eyes shimmer with flame, standing out against the grey of her fur and reflecting the bright sunlight. She is an apprentice, but soon it will be her chance to be a warrior. Her twelfth moon is to occur in two days, and her heart is bursting with energy.
Her claws are sharpened neatly, for she has been practicing for battle. Her teeth are clean and pure, and their tips gleam with sharpness. She wishes one of the male apprentices would notice her, but she is still waiting. She is ambitious at heart, but is known to misbehave. Her true dream is to become deputy and eventually leader of the clan.

Personality matters! It makes you who you are!
My name is FeatherTail. My mother named me for my long tail that sticks out like a birds. It was bushy when I was a kit, then a few weeks after I began my apprenticeship it thinned out into the thin rod it is now. My pelt is grey and soft, and often it is tangled and messy. I get tired of cleaning myself, so anything that gets into it will most likely stay there for a while. The only things that will come off right away are blood and mouse bile. I can't stand the feeling of mouse bile on my pelt, so I wash it off in the river immediately.

Age is important! You have to know how long you have to be amazing!
I'm 17 moons old. I'm a warrior now, and I want to become deputy and maybe even leader. Even though I'm not an apprentice anymore, I'm still trying to learn more about everything around me. I would describe myself as curious and ambitious.

History... What an old subject. I suppose we need to know about our previous mistakes.
I was born to two clan cats. I wish I could have some intriguing story about running away from kittypet life, but my history is slightly boring. I never knew my mother, as she died while kitting. My father died shortly afterwards in battle, so I hardly remember him. Apparently he wasn't happy with me, his son, when he left. I don't know if I have any siblings, but I wish I knew.

Other. Why is there anything that doesn't fit into the other three?
I've always wanted the she-cats to notice me. I don't like going to them, for I want a strong she-cat who can come to me. I admire the medicine cats because they can communicate with StarClan, our ancestors. I don't like the idea of fighting, but I will kill in battle.

My name is hawkclaw. Named for my feather like pelt and long claws, I'm a fairly new warrior, at 16 moons old. My mother was a loner, and my father was a banished clan cat. I'm not happy with my parents, but excited to be that warrior I'm meant to be. I sometime wonder where my parents are. They brought me to the clan when I was days old. I hope one day, I can see them. I nearly despise medicine cats, except when they help heal my wounds. Many see me, and mark me a timid she cat. That couldn't be further from the truth. I love fighting, and will kill the instant anyone I'm close to is hurt. Unlike most cats, I love to swim and hunt for fish, to add to the pile.

A name, a memory
I never knew the name my mother gave to me. I never heard my own name. So, for the sake of being whole, I made my own. I hope Starclan can accept it; can understand why. I was born completely deaf. I tried training to become a warrior, for my true dream was to become leader someday. But with even just one sense missing, fighting becomes almost impossible. I cannot even imagine how amazing it must be to be able to hear.
I named myself Stonepaw, for the marks on my tortoiseshell pelt. Sometimes I call myself Stonepelt, which I plan will be my name after I finish my apprenticeship in two moons. I had to become the medicine cat apprentice because of my stupid deafness!

Background in the background
What do I know about my history? I never knew my parents' names, or my siblings'. My mother was a tortoiseshell too, but her fur was pretty. Mine is just dull and annoying. My father was a brown tabby with long whiskers, and I hardly remember him. He was exiled three moons after I began my apprenticeship. My sister had tortoiseshell fur just like mine, and she drowned in the river as a kit. My brother had brown fur like my father's. My father killed him for it.
