The fae let her maw curl to a small smile, her tail twitched in the slightest wag at the males remark against her brother.. 𝒥𝓊𝓃𝒾𝓅𝑒𝓇

Indeed.. he is.. Her soft voice almost cheery as her demeanor changed a bit with the comfortable banter that they started.. It was strange.. The fae had never started banter with much of anyone.. it was really another thing that was very foreign to her.. Her smile quickly subsided and her head lowered in realization of her friendly output towards the male.. Everything in this new pack was so very new to her, her mind always confused about certain things as they were a skewed version of what she had grown up with.. Mostly what was so confusing to her was the kindness that others had shown towards each-other.. Her mind just could not wrap around this large male and his posture and demeanor towards her..
She used to live in a pack that was fueled by rage and selfishness.. A wolf only for their own..
~The Primus dynasty~
A pack of tyrannical and domineering wolves, known for their massive size and Barbaric personalities.. The pack made up of entirely white wolves as to hide in the snow of the forest and strike like assassins, their eyes an intimidatingly bright shade of yellow.. Most wolves in the pack towered black bears by a good few inches, they hunted for sport even when not needed food for the pack.. and they killed other wolves just for the thrill...
The slaughterous pack, brought up by the Alpha, whom was amusingly and ironically named "Cull", hunted down the other packs that called the Forest their home..
The forest was tremendous, foggy, and lush. Its canopy was competed for by sequoia, cypress, and ash, who left just enough light for an array of mushrooms to flourish in the branch and twig laden ground below.
Thin branches grasped many a tree, and a mishmash of flowers, which grew dispersed and sparingly, added playful elements to the otherwise dark forest floor.
A tumult of sounds, predominantly those of rummaging critters, reverberated through the air, and were in harmony with the barrage of noise coming from a waterfall in the distance. The dense area making The Primus pack nearly invisible to anyone or anything that came into their territory..
With the entire Forrest in the pad of Culls paws, He looked at his young devil-may-care band of wolves.. and knew he needed a lineage of his own to pass down his lifelong achievements, to look after his pack once he had passed...
His mate, Xix, lay very sick at this time.. her heart was not in good shape... With no healers in the Primus pack, she lay in the corner of Culls den for days at a time without moving..
The Primus pack believed that there was no use for a healer.. that the wolves who were injured too far to heal themselves should be culled in the hands of nature, that wolves who could not get better from illnesses were no use to the pack in the first place.. Only the best survived in the pack, there was no room for error or dysfunctional wolves that they could not use to dominate lands and rival packs..
Cull impregnated Xix, her health deteriorating day by day as she lay pregnant in his den, not being able to even twitch her ears at the last week of her pregnancy..
Xix gave birth to four healthy pups.. sadly dying the moment she passed the last pup..
Cull looked at his four pups, a proud father.. for all but one..
Three boys and a tiny runt female..
All three of the pups squirmed to nurse.. all but the last born.. She lay still at her mothers side, un-moving and peacefully quiet.. She, unlike the others, was very small and oddly colored.. her fur a opalescent shining grey with long fur even for a newborn.. The other three looked exactly like their father, muscular in build and gigantic.. Their fur was as white as snow and their claws already long and sharp..
Cull named them; Bates, Salem, Cain.. and "It"..
~~~~~~~~~~~
Two years passed, Cull watching as his kin grew.
Salem became the Chief of Spies, His legs grew very long and he was lean bodied, his snout narrow and his coat thin.. He made his father proud by being a spy to other packs, gathering information and coming back to the pack with it to be able to destroy them.. He ran through other territories daily to see all of the packs that the Primus pack could eventually conquer... Sometimes he stole pups from other packs to be raised as a Primus Pack member..
Bates became the Chief of Assassins, he and a band of others in the pack were used to go out to find strays and cull them for fun.. They took down many lone wolves and came back with trophies of their enemies.. They made sure no trespassers came onto the Gwallter Forrest territory.. Bates was a normal sized wolf, his fur was the darkest in the pack, being invisible in the shadows and never being seen..
Cain.. He was the most vial of the three, his father the most proud of him, taking on a hard personality and a taste for blood.. Cain was the Chief of War, His size towering even his father.. His chest deep and barrel-like, his head large and his yellow eyes piercing and emotionless.. Cain was very short-tempered and did not stand for much of anything, He trained most of the wolves who weren't Hunters to be war monsters.. It was not uncommon for pack-mates to die under his harsh training..
Cain was known for being gone for days at a time and coming back dragging an elk or black bear drug at his side.. The giant had an abundant of scars that covered his face and throat, his ears were torn and he was never not in a bad mood...
...Then there was the wolf that Cull "so lovingly" called "It".. She was a very small wolf, being able to stand under one of her brothers who could easily walk over her, her head barley grazing the tops of their chests..
There were many things wrong with the wolf called "It" besides her unusual size.. The fae did not have yellow eyes like everyone else in the pack had.. Her eyes were a beautiful honey color.. seemingly odd for a pack whos glare could cut through someone like glass.. Hers looked like the reflection of the full moon, hazed over and emotionless in the pack...
"It", also had long beautifully light and peppered colored fur, something unheard of in the pack of entirely white wolves. Her fur was very long, curling around her cheeks and whisking around her stout legs. The greys and blacks that flashed in her fur were magnificent, flowing together beautifully.. But it diddent matter to the Primus pack, she was seen as a disgusting parasite..
Cull and his sons tended to shun "It", She was often used as a punching bag for the War Wolves training.. leaving her daily gashed and cut.. The tiny fae was often very worn, she had never talked to another wolf in the pack before because of how much she was hated pack-wide.. Her hazy eyes never showed emotion except sadness and depression.. Her tail had never felt how it was to wag with joy and her ears were always strained to flatten to her head.. always so tired....
"It" had a place of her own to hide from her brothers.. to hide from being a scapegoat for the pack.. It was a beautiful open field lined with large Juniper trees where she would hide under.. Her sanctuary was the most beautiful thing to her, something that was so special that it was her peace..
"It" was seen more and more out under the Juniper trees as time went on~ The abuse from the pack was stronger than ever and her brothers were at the peak of their strength, causing them to become more busy during the day and more wrapped up in their duties.. Leaving the others in the pack to do as they please without consequence..
That was until Cull started to fall very ill, knowing full well that he had to leave his pack into the paws of one of his successful sons.. He took the four into his den, announcing to his children that he had felt his time was coming to an end, his face gnarled into a snarl as he turned to Juniper.
You have done nothing to make me proud.. You have made a mockery of the Primus Dynasty by simply being here.. but you are still my daughter. Whomever obtains the duty of caring for this pack, has the duty of babysitting "her" He snapped at his sons. You must promise me that you will never let this runt ruin the name of the Primus Dynasty, do you understand? He growled, his sons nodding in acknowledgement.
As a harsh ruler, Cull plotted a harsh way of deciding the role to the next leader.. He would make his own sons fight against each other for the Alpha spot, knowing full well that they would tear each other limb from limb..
The battle was quick.. Cain easily able to kill his brothers with no remorse..
Juniper could remember the look in Cains eyes when he looked back at her, her own brothers blood splayed over his white coat.. She was more horrified than she had ever been looking her kin dead in the eyes and knowing that she would be stuck with him for the rest of her life..
Cull passed away just a few days later, his death seemed just like another day in the pack.. After the death of her brothers and her father, Juniper was in a strange mourn. A mourn that the empathetic fae couldent understand, knowing fully well that her brothers and her father had not treated her well in the time that they were in her life.. Yet she still mourned..
Days later, Juniper returned to where the pack used to be.. simply to be met with the area desolate with her brother chewing on a rabbit carcass.. She never knew what had happened to everyone in the pack and Cain never said a word.. they had all simply disappeared and the two had started their recent venture to the new pack that they now reside in.
Her thought was quickly interrupted by a loud growl of her stomach, Her ears flattening against her head.. She looked up at the male in a nervous way, her tail curling around her stomach as she lay on her side.
Excuse my stomach.. Its been a bit short on food.. She said with a shy wag of her tail, knowing full well that whatever scraps that she had gotten, her brother took the majority of.. The sheepish fae laying her head on her paws, glancing more towards the male who had been so kind to her so far.. Her posture was a little more comfortable though, almost inviting the male in to converse with her more if he wanted.. His company was nice to her.
Lucius.. She whispered to herself, repeating his name to herself softly.. It sounds like a name one of my pack mates would have had.. Juniper said, looking up at him and cocking her head to the side slightly as she quickly studied his face without being too disrespectful with her stare. Salem, Cain, Bates, Hades, Cull, names like that were implored in the Primal Dynasty, showing power and menacing demeanor...
Still She whispered, I think Lucius is a pretty name..
