Leafstar definitely knew, however, that Redstrike knew of it. She had been the one to tell him; before that, she had been the only one to know. Her heart ached as she thought of her former best friend and mate; she had to speak to him about it. He deserved to know, especially after how much she had hurt him. Of course, it would only really make him hate Bounce, but Leafstar knew that she could convince him to not openly try to run the pregnant she-cat out of the clan. Leafstar paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts, before she padded out of the den. It wasn't ever hard to find Redstrike; her eyes always found him first, and it had been that way for a long time. "Redstrike," she called, managing to keep her voice neutral, but she couldn't quite erase the panic from her face. Cats who weren't so attuned to her expressions might not notice it; Redstrike definitely would. She gestured toward her den with her tail when his eyes found her. Then, she padded back in and closed her eyes as she waited.

Suddenly remembering Lionpaw, she turned back to the apprentice and looked him over; he wore a bit of a grin on his face that disappeared the instant she looked at it. His eyes widened, making it obvious that he expected her to yell at him as well. Good, she thought. "Lionpaw, go and ask Stormstrike if he would like to do a double-training session on tracking," she meowed; the orange tabby apprentice looked relieved as he said a quick 'sure' and hurried off in Stormstrike's direction.
Sighing, she turned back to Foxpaw, taking in his crestfallen expression. He clearly realized that what he had done was wrong. Maybe she shouldn't have told him he was worthless- that was a lie -but she could tell from the look on his face that it had had the effect that she'd wanted and that he probably wouldn't ever do what he did again, which had been the whole point. "You're not worthless, Foxpaw. That's not what I meant. Every cat has their value, and because I believe your value is more than what many other cats possess, I expect much, much more than what you gave me today. For now, I won't give you any other punishment. However, if you ever do something like that again, you're getting a moons' worth of taking care of the elders alone: applying mouse bile, changing bedding, and fetching fresh-kill. That would be on top of training, and if you think you can do it when you're about to become a warrior, it will carry over into when you become a warrior. Do you understand?" she asked in a level tone. Frostfire had very clearly calmed down since she'd yelled at the tom.

Lionpaw had been at the entrance to the clan, watching as Frostfire went completely crazy on Foxpaw. He wanted to both laugh at his brother and say burrrn and to just run away. When Redstrike came, he shrunk back a little further, knowing a fight was coming between the two; both were endlessly stubborn and easy to start fights with, and when they faced off, Lionpaw couldn't decide who had the better arguments. His father didn't really know much other than the fact that Frostfire had completely embarrassed Foxpaw in front of the entire clan, so he really didn't know what exactly he was defending, and Lionpaw would personally much rather just be momentarily embarrassed than receive tons of extra work in punishment. Actually, the work would be more embarrassing; it would last a lot longer than a lecture. However, Frostfire had been pretty harsh, so it wasn't like she didn't deserve what Redstrike had said to her. Overall, Lionpaw would probably have to side with his father simply because he didn't like the way Foxpaw's face had fallen, either.
It'll be a pretty great story later, though, he thought, grinning a little bit before he realized Frostfire was looking directly at him. He wiped it off his face as quickly as he could, but from the Really? face she gave him, it was clear that she had noticed it. Aw man, don't tell me I'm going to be yelled at too, he thought, his eyes widening, but she simply told him to go ask his mentor if a double training session would be okay. "Sure," he meowed quickly before he padded away from the she-cat, walking a little faster than usual. He spotted his mentor resting on a rock in the sun and trotted over to him, dipping his head a little bit as he reached him. "Frostfire wants to know if a double training session on tracking would be okay," he meowed, looking up at Stormstrike. He'd been having hunting lessons for the past two moons, so a lesson completely devoted to tracking wouldn't take them too off-track.
