|Femke|3 Years|Northern Pack|Alphess|

Femke, distracted by a stirring from behind her, took her eyes, for the first time, off of the newcomers and noticed Jakome at last deciding bulldoze his way in on the scene. After the harsh chewing out she had received from him last night about her decesion, Femke was miffed by his audacity this morning. Her ears twisted backwards slightly, and she made her glare be known to him as she watched him thoughtlessly barge in on a conversation that he surely disapproved of jut to introduce himself. Femke almost felt it to be sabotage, as if he was trying to ridicule everything she was attempting to do for the situation. Cross at this, Femke almost snapped at him, but decided against it only by her abounding patience. She might have been agitated by him, but it was not worth starting another fight over, especially with who was usually a trusted friend.

Breathing a calming sigh, she turned back to the pack as Xena questioned her decision to send Echo on a mission to get the herbs they needed. Such a question struck Femke. She hesitated to speak at it, and she hesitated so just long enough for Jakome to pick up for her. She turned to him, surprised at his honest answer. Was this his way of apologizing for last night? As her eyes slowly fell away from him, there was surely a quizzical quirk on her brow. "Jakome is right," she said, mindfully ignoring the trip he had taken on the fumbling end of his answer. "Echo will be swifter than us all, and Felle will mistake her age for weakness. He will not suspect that she will be anywhere but here, curled up in her den," she added, once again flicking an intrigued glance Jakome's way.

"Now, if no one has anything else to ask, I suggest you all try to--" Femke never got to finish her dismissal of the meeting before Jakome's voice rumbled tensely into her ear. She felt her own muscles clench tightly in her core, her head immediately snapping in the direction in which Jakome's stare was set on. Immediately, her hackles bristled dangerously, fear swiftly rushing over her. Fear, however, was something that Femke hid well. "Verdammt," she hissed before leaping back to address the newcomers. Now, however, her air was tense and commanding.

"Plans have changed!" she suddenly bellowed, just as Cobi's cry at the same observation as Jakome's pierced through the air. "The Southern Pack has been more ambitious than anticipated. They come to us now!" Now, Femke turned to look to Jakome. We must not let them reach the camp," and then she pressed her muzzle close into Echo's ear. "You know what to do," she whispered, closing her eyes. "Stay out of sight, be swift, and for God's sake, be careful." She gave a swift lick to Echo's cheek before suddenly bounding off the perch her pack was standing upon.

"Come, now, everyone! Do not fear the Southern Pack yet!" With that call, Femke desperately rushed off towards the oncoming Southerners. Her heart pounding, she sped far in front of the others, hardly aware of them in her intentness to reach Felle first. Ignoring the baking sun overheating her rushing body, Femke was heedless until she skidded to a stop in the dirt mere feet from her father's face. Her hackles were raised to their full height, her shoulders thrown forward and her ears pinned. She snarled at him, although her fear had her skin tingling. "How dare you come to my territory, Father! How dare you come here to take these dogs on my own territory!" This was shouted in her father's native tongue, for there had been a time when they had been so close that he had taught it to her.

|Roero|5 Years|Northern Pack|Spy|

Roero, barely managing not to flinch when Felle's beta turned his attention to him, turned his head away submissively. He could only close his almost trembling eyes at the male's threat, and he could only breath when he felt the male's focus come off of him. He was barely able to breath a sigh of relief before he flitted his nervous gaze to Felle. "Yes, Felle, of course," he complied as if, indeed, Felle were his alpha. He almost pondered over it, and surely he would have if he were not currently so stricken with terror. Scrambling out of Felle's way, he swiftly turned and began taking the proper way back down the mountain. Dezire would surely notice this.

Yipping every time he felt Felle's canines graze his heels, Roero was more than relieved to at last be on flat ground. At the same time, however, he felt like he should scream a warning to the top of his lungs to his still distant pack members--Echo, in specific.Fear, however, kept him silent, and he looked back, wincing, as he saw Felle standing above him on a rock and beaming in a most sinister way at his distant pack. When he turned back around, however, he was stunned to see almost everyone now rushing towards him. Tucking his tail, Yuri swiftly back away as he realized it was Femke who had a strong lead on the others, trying to hide to no avail as she at last skidded to a halt in front of Felle.

|Maroochy|3 Years|Southern Pack|Prisoner|

When Yuri answered her in his yelping cries, Maroochy had sense enough to trust the coward. She was convinced that he would not dare lie to her when terror seemed to pulse so greatly through his veins. She snarled when he asked if she would kill him. "Quiet." Then, she pressed her weight more squarely onto his chest, attempting to compress his lungs. 'You listen-um me," she demanded, placing her snarling face merely an inch from Yuri's. "You take me out dis place. You take-um me where I tell you go, eh?"

Echo was amused by how most of the newcomers seemed to doubt her. She knew why, though. By the looks of it, Echo looked pathetic, weak - a dainty elder who can't care for herself- but her mind was what she used to kill. Her thoughts and intellectual standpoint had hardened into wisdom throughout the wear and tear of her life. Boy, I can't wait to show them, Echo thought, itching to be off on her newly assigned journey. It wasn't often Echo had the chance to prove herself worthy. Sometimes, she felt guilty of being a nuisance to the pack. Stories and random pieces of useless information -which is all Echo really had to offer- didn't cut it for Echo. But now, she could use her wisdom to her advantage. Jakome's response to Xena made her eyes widen a little, as she assumed that with all her critique towards him, Jakome would happily question her ability to complete this much needed task.

Jakome then spoke of visitors, and at first Echo assumed he was referring to Roero returning. She could smell Roero, but the scent of fear was plastered all over him. Echo understood why. Even her old eyes could see the very familiar figure of Felle, and his scent was one she remembered well. Femke's empowering yell broke the air that was silent with shock, and Echo knew her job awaited her. Returning the affection nuzzle of Femke, Echo held her words in her mind as if they were to protect her from harm. If anyone saw her on the Souther Packs Territory, she would certainly be killed. Who could forget one of the only ones who escaped? They would certainly not permit her presence on their turf. Fear was creeping through her body as she watched Femke race towards Felle. Her alphas reassuring words were just barely keeping the fear from getting to her heart. She leapt off the rock, the situation catching up to her. The other dogs were following Femke, and now Echo had to disappear from sight. Her tan coat blended in with the terrain as she maneuvered through the low brush and clay-colored rocks. Adrenaline was eating away at the fear, and Echo continued on with more confidence in her step then she had before.

Felle and the others were on the top ridge, which was practically the border of the two packs. If Echo could sneak past them and over the ridge on a different route, she could reach the mountains. The waterfall that was situated at the base of the mountains was hard for Echo to forget. It was fed by freshwater run off from the mountains, and it kept the pack hydrated which was something Echo longed for the Northern Pack to have. In their current state of dehydration, water was what Echo dreamed of. Plus, the closer she got to this waterfall, the more the island would be rich in herbs.

Echo plodded across the desert dirt, her slow movement temporarily replaced with the agility of a young pup. The path she had chosen started to steadily climb into a steep incline, and she had to jump from rock to rock. The rotten scent of Felle and his pack mates polluted the air that was diagonally below of Echo. Luckily, the wind from the sea had brought a salty scent to the air, covering up her own. Femke's voice was still booming across the rocks, which just made Echo climb faster. She reached the top with one last jump that just barely brought her to the solid ground in front of her. Her tongue was lolling out of her mouth in a steady rhythm and her sides heaved heavily to inhale as much air as possible. She glanced behind her, and could only see the piles of rocks she had climbed up to reach the point she stood at now. Felle stood with his back to her now, as she had successfully scaled the ridge to come up behind them. Instead, Echo could see Femke, Jakobe, and the other newcomers. We have a chance this time, Echo thought, her eyes admiring the dogs that still fought for what was rightfully theirs. Before she turned to go deeper into the territory, she searched for the white and brown pelt of her beloved Roero. She could see him, just a small dot beside the two powerful leaders. "Oh, Roero…" Echo muttered, her words trailing off into a depressed sigh. Echo caught her breath so she wasn't breathing heavily anymore, then started to trot into the tall grass and shrubs. Worry weighed down her thoughts, and she struggled to keep up with her task. She wished to be with them, and she wished to sink her fangs into the soft throat of Felle. "This will help. If I get the herbs to heal the Newcomers, we will have more dogs to help fight. I am helping…"

The panic of the other dogs arrivals was easy to see on the wild dogs faces. Femke began to bark orders, reinforcing her speech from before, then she raced off. Kai struggled to keep up with what was happening. The elder dove into the shrubbery, disappearing, then Jakome accompanied his alpha in the sprint to meet the visitors. He had been curious to meet this other alpha, Felle, and only now did Kai realize the seriousness of the situation. He leapt of his haunches to race after Femke, his small lithe size carrying him across the uneven surface with large strides. His feet were still soft from walking on grass, so with each step he could feel rocks slicing into his tender paws. Muscles burned to stop, but his mind and heart carried him forward. Closer now, he could see Femke and Felle beside each other, and could see the similarity between the father and daughter. Kai slowed to a stop a few feet behind Femke before he stalked forward to stand just a fews inches away. He was tense and his hackles were raised with uncertainty. The way they described Felle and his pack made Kai afraid, though he felt as if he could rule the world at that moment. He squinted his icy blue eyes to stare at the other dogs as he took them in. They were larger in size, clearly healthier. How dare they not share their prey! This pack is malnourished! Kai's thoughts screamed. He raised his head defiantly, his muscles visibly tensing up. He was interested in seeing what this other dog had to say, but the emotions coming off al the dogs were clouding his thoughts which just made his stance more aggressive.

Sorry - I haven't posted in a while and this isn't that great cause I was having difficulty and I've been so busy but I've been waiting to post on this for forever and it's taken so long and I'm just ahhhhh

Ace The Southern Beta

The brute pushed himself trough the mountains his thick fur fluffed up as he looked down onto the other pack. His ears pricked up when he saw the body of Femke rushing to them. The younger brute let out a grumbled growl as he snarled at the other female dog. Narrowing his deep brown eyes before glaring at the female as she spoke in Felle's native tongue. "Speak! Being the beta i want to know what you are saying to the alpha." He snarled, the male never really liked Femke or Jakome, but as he shrugged his shoulders glancing over to Dezire. He shot her an apologetic glance, the male just was really not happy about leaving Maroochy in the hands of Yuri.. The male snorted at the thought of the leaving the female in the hands of none other then him.. He snorted again before blinking his deep eyes as he looked to Femke, his head raised as he puffed out his chest lightly his fur rising with anger. "We have come to see if these new dogs would like to see the better option of living." He grumbled the last part lightly to himself before swishing his thick tail as he looked around. His eyes landed on the other dogs, there were much more then there use to be, his eyes landed on the new ones and most looked wounded. He snorted lightly swishing his tail as his eyes danced around before coming back to Femke's body.

The female grumbled lightly as she glanced up to the dark shapes coming closer. She picked up her back leg before moving around as she found a nice place to sit down softly. She watched the female named Echo diving away, she respected the elders spunk but she doubted the elder just a little bit. Shaking her pelt as she glanced to the other dogs, the female looked more like a wolf then a dog but she really did not mind when she had a owner others would come up with there husky's and other dogs just to watch the female to see how she acted. Lowering her head as the female thought of her now fallen owner, and her mother who she would never see again. Thinking about the things just made her even sadder as she ran her tongue across her muzzle before glancing at the dogs conversant.

The hellions lampstra filled with lust as she followed Felle to the border. Her talons flexed, digging up dirt from the soft lithosphere. The anticipation that had been brewing in every muscle, every fur on her red pelt, was about to boil over. She longed to meet the Norther pack with the familiar hostility that always laced her tone, and watch them squirm. However, this was more just a show, the real hostility she held was towards Felle. She longed most to betray and overthrow the tyrant, and take rule over the land. She knew his daughters would be a challenge though, and thought about killing them off too.

Just as she thought about Femke, she saw her. She didn't realize how close she had gotten, and she only seemed to focus in on Ace. She stared at his optics, her own narrowed in a deadly glare. Was that an apologetic look he gave Femke? With a bout of thunder and without hesitation, she slammed her mass hard against his flank. With her strength she knocked him over, and then turned her cranium towards Femke. Opening her jowls she snapped,
I see you have brought these dogs to the better life.. She them lunged forward her jowls snapping only to come to a menacing smile, spit throthing down her chin

~Fᴇʟʟᴇ~
"The Tyrant"|Southern Pack Alpha|Location: Northern Pack Terr.|Tags: Femke, Fox

It took all of Felle's will not to lash out at Femke and her clearly aggressive meeting. And even more will not to snap at Ace for speaking for Felle. Instead, he gave his beta a look that would have stung. Most of his attention turned to Fox, as she lunged at Femke like a rabid animal. Felle turned his head, revealing every fang. Shooting Femke a look, he closed in on Fox. It wasn't that Felle was defending Femke, but they were trying to win over some new dogs! Fox was surely a fool... "You back down," Felle snarled next to her head. "...else you will lose both ears. Keep Peace." His last growl left no room for questioning.

Now, Felle could practically feel the adrenaline hit his veins; his pack wasn't helping the situation. But, this time, he'd have to quell that adrenaline and allow his tongue to use it instead of his muscles. He'd taught both his daughter's what the humans had called "Dutch". It was his native language and a part of him. Hearing Femke speak it now, he smiled kindly at her, his white teeth shining.

"Femke," His accent grew heavy as he dropped into Dutch, knowing fully well his pack members (except for Dezire perhaps if she listened) couldn't understand. "Calm yourself, for you are embarrassing your guests, mein liefste." Felle switched back to the English tongue, and looked past Femke. His eyes found the new dogs on the island, and his excitement grew.

"Friends!" He broke past Femke, brushing her off completely. Felle bounded down the slope towards the pack, sliding slightly on the loose gravel and dirt. The brute slowed to a jog, everything in his demeanor showing kindness. "Welcome, friends." His deep voice rumbled gently. These dogs were all sizes and shapes. Some would make perfect members for his pack. Felle stopped and held his ground, his tail erect and his poise strong. The eyes on him all shined with different emotions: curiosity, fear, mistrust, hate (huh, Femke must have already spoken about him). From beside him, he saw Femke's beta snarling, clearly holding himself back from jumping on Felle -not that Felle cared, he completely ignored him. Time to win us some pack mates. Without waiting for his pack, he dipped his head:

"Welcome to our little island. I'm sure Femke has told you 'all' about my pack of the South. I am Felle, the alpha. My friends behind me are Dezire, my beloved daughter and sister to Femke, Ace, my trusted beta... and Fox." He glanced behind him for a moment before clearing his throat. "I'm sure you all must know that Femke is my daughter -and I'm also quite sure she has told you some nasty rumors. I am here to assure you, whatever you've heard has been grossly over-exaggerated: such are the stories of rebellious daughters who run away and strongly dislike their father. With that fear in mind, I have brought my pack to you; I am here to personally escort you to paradise, where you will never hunger or thirst; where herbs are plentiful, and to a pack of strength." Felle put on his "father" face and tone as he spoke, looking at each dog in the eyes.

"However, I am unable to show you the full glory of our packlands in the dangerous desert. Femke will tell you our pack is dangerous. But how can that be so when we all live together as a family in the island's paradise? Is it not dangerous to live here, in the desert?" He eyed the pup. "Especially with an injured little one? Why sleep on the rough, dry, hot sands when you can rest easy beside the gentle roar of a waterfall. Prey is plentiful, and the water is as clear as the sky."

"I will lay it out simple, just in case Femke hasn't yet. You have a very important choice if you are to live on this island. Your choice in your new life here is simple: life or death. Peace or struggle. It is all to your choosing. If you choose life -paradise- then my pack will welcome you into our strong paws. You will be valued as one of us. But choose to live alone, or in an... unfavorable environment such as this, and well... you may as well wish the ocean had taken you as her own."

~YURI~
"The Crazed Follower"|Temporary Character|Location: South Waterfall|Tag(s):Maroochy

"What?! Let you.. no!" Yuri whined pitifully. "I can't do that...!" Suddenly the big dog found himself pushing up on Maroochy, throwing her onto the stone floor. When Yuri was standing on his paws, he blinked in realization of what had just happened. He'd been brave! Right? But now... Maroochy was going to kill him. Yuri couldn't let that happen. Panting hard, he whimpered: "Y-you cannot leave, Maroochy... Felle... he'll..." He frowned. Yuri had no way to control Maroochy, and his paws began to tremble terribly. Then his mind began to swim. His brief moment of strength quickly faded as his tail dropped between his legs. "W-here d-do you want t-to go?"

~Jakome~
"The Survivalist"|Northern Pack Beta|Tag(s):Felle, Femke

Felle held his ground as Femke charged towards Felle. Jakome would do better to stay and protect the newcomers. He watched in a bit of fear as one of Felle's dogs lunged at Femke. Strangely, though, Felle snarled at Femke's aggressor. What act is he trying to pull? Oh... the good guy? That thought positively disgusted Jakome. His hackles rose as Felle made his way towards Jakome and the newcomers. Should he stop him?? He glanced back at the new dogs. These dogs weren't a part of the pack... so was it right to protect a dog that may actually belong to Felle by fate? Nevertheless, he gave Felle a dirty look and continued to watch in awe as Felle lied to the dogs before him.

"Watch it, mutt, you are not Alpha, and by my paws you will never be." Dezire muttered a hateful growl in her father's native tongue, tail lashing eagerly. Just as Dezire was about to snap at the brown fae's tail, Fox had already lunged in front of Femke. Her one and only sister. The brindle fae's teeth only snapped to the air. Her eyes soon glanced uncertainly towards Ace, wondering if he'd say anything in return, but she soon padded up to her father, standing close at his side. Her amber eyes stared at the brindle fae that looked much like herself, and spoke in her father's native tongue, while he had spoken about the group. "Yes sister, don't embarrass yourself too badly, besides, who says this isn't our father's territory and not yours?" Dezire's ears perked up when Felle had spoken her name, and she gave the dogs a friendly smile, soothing and sweet, perhaps even deceiving, but surely only Roero would notice. "Ah, yes, my father is correct, with beauty such as our own, why live in a paw-hurting desert where this pack strives to live under the heat?" In the end, Southern Pack will rule all lands. Dezire's tail swished along the ground trustingly, and her amber eyes were slowly gazing around the dogs, pausing at the lowered white male. Dezire tipped her head towards him, as if wondering if he would get off the ground. You just don't understand... Her eyes hinted a thoughtful sparkle within them.

The fae's dark brown eyes stared at one orange dog, perhaps a dingo of some sort, as she snapped at the Leader dog of the Northern Pack. It almost made her want to cover her head in Kai's fur, but how awkward that would seem, so she only touched her fur slightly to the male's. "Careful what you say Kai...These dogs look so strong and that one snapped at Femke...Something doesn't seem right," Kasey whispered inaudibly to him, unsure if even he had heard herself. Her ears quickly flattened when she grew closer, now standing in between Kai and Jakome, who almost seemed as if he were surprised. "Jakome, that is your name, right? I...I don't know whether being in a pack is a good thing, I guess I'm just scared..." She spoke in a frightful voice, uncertain eyes looking to the ground. They tell of beautiful territory, and plentiful prey, but I've never seen any of that, only the city alleys and a small cage, how am I to believe that a forest is safe?

Kai watched as the other Alpha, Felle, struggled to hold his pack in. He could barely keep them reined back from tearing Femke's coat to shreds, the power he held to keep them on their leashes was only holding by a string. Deep down, Kai stifled a laugh. These dogs were insane! They were barbaric and completely bloodthirsty, Kai could just see the lust for violence raging in their eyes. What have I got myself into... However amused he was, Kai kept it hidden. His eyes stayed squinted, watching them warily and his hackles raised to full height. He didn't know of any other way to act except to return the aggression. Kasey came up beside him, and he unknowingly leaned part of his weight into her until their fur squished together into a mix of grey and black. Her words cooled his raging temper that was increasing steadily whenever the other dogs would snap at Femke. Kai turned his head to nose Kaley's shoulder to comfort her, his eyes never leaving the alpha male. Kaley was right. Something wasn't right. These dogs were too aggressive to be offering their paradise and kindness. A thought creeped up from the back of his mind that he had tried to shove away, but it was clinging on to not be forgotten. Maybe Felle is telling the truth, and Femke lied. What if they were banished? No. That couldn't be - what alpha would banish an elder? Echo seems harmless… And Femke wouldn't run away for no reason, she is smarter than that… There had to be a reason. She had to be telling the truth. Kai tried to wrap his head around the situation to decide who was being truthful. So far he was leaning towards Femke. Femke held more emotion and truth in stories, while Felle seemed to just hold a pack of wild beasts. Ignoring Kaley's words of warning, Kai spoke up. "If you hold enough kindness in your heart to offer your paradise, why aren't these other dogs," Kai motioned towards Femke and Jakome, " allowed to benefit from it as well? I understand that maybe, you could have banished them. All packs don't always disagree. But why not make them omegas? And what about Echo? Who would banish an elder? I understand how they could've all ran away, following your 'rebellious daughter' but isn't there a reason for all actions? Why would so many dogs want to run away from such a paradise? If a desert was that bad, why didn't they just deal with you and stay in your paradise? Or are you worse then the desert?" Kai pressed, the growl that he had kept in his chest now laced through his words. His questions were all held taught on an arrow, the string on the bow taught, just waiting to be released. It all built up, and finally Kai couldn't wait anymore to ask the questions he needed to. He raised his head, letting confidence drive his fear away. If they were that kind and actually offering their paradise, this wouldn't be a problem and wouldn't attack Kai. If not, he figured he will just have to learn the hard way.

|Femke|3 Years|Northern Pack|Alphess|

Femke, as she bristled in front of her father's imposing form, wasn't sure whether to be surprised that it was his trusted beta which addressed her first. Femke, however, only flicked a brief glance towards the impetuous male, one that was unable to hold respect for a dog she pitied. She didn't answer him, either, for she awaited her father's words, yet she still did not receive them as Fox aggressively plowed her way to her. Femke let out a low, warning growl, which went unheeded when Fox suddenly lunged at her face. Reacting instinctively, Femke barked out in surprised, and her jaws snapped open to give a quick succession of three defensive bites on top of the muzzle she had expected to clamp down on her own face. Only one bite was strong enough, however, to actually allow a single tooth pierce through the velvet of Fox's maw and draw blood.

Again, Femke snarled in warning, watching as her father quelled his unruly pack members. They don't even know what they are doing, she observed, watching as her father snarled something ugly beside Fox's head. She watched the scene calculatedly, holding her ground in front of her pack and the newcomers as, at last, her father turned to her and addressed her. Her eyes narrowed at his words, but all she offered was a distasteful growl before, upon seeing her father turn to address her pack, she acquiesced and stepped aside so that he may do so without her interference.

Femke realized, however, just how steep her request of herself came when her father's voice, now coated to be sugar sweet and as alluring as the scent of fresh water on the breeze, addressed the newcomers with promises which hid behind them brutal fine print. The payment for paradise was death, the death of one's morality and the death of everyone of the beloved members in Femke's feeble pack.

Femke tried not to feel threatened, but she could not deny that her father was capable of enthralling charisma. She had once believed him too--had once believed in him. Now, all Femke saw was fading hope, the warm face of a beloved father as it melted into the countenance of an unrecognizable monster. Femke swallowed as her throat began to constrict on itself. Please, Newcomers, do not be fooled as I had been, she willed silently, and yet her pain did not show through her defensive stance in front of her beta when her dreaded sister at last found a moment, too, to snarl in her face. Femke, however, gave no response besides to glare as her sister turned to back her father with the same desperate motive to be as loved by him as Dezire thought she had once been.

Femke wanted to end the setting of her family's alluring traps, and furthermore she wanted her father's pack off of her territory. She almost parted her mouth to speak to Felle about taking the newcomers and her pack to his territory, but then a familiar bold and insightful voice spoke up in the crowd behind her. She looked back to Kai, and somehow felt comforted by this young dog's suspicion. Perhaps there was at least one in her crowd who would not be fooled by her father. And, perhaps, if her father's wily pack kept up their aggressive antics, the rest of the newcomers would be hesitant to be fooled too.

|Roero|5 Years|Northern Pack|Spy|

Roero felt overwhelmed by all of the dogs that had converged upon the scene. He had watched their scrambling in the distance and had been unnerved, but now that he felt he was surrounded, by both those who would gladly slaughter him and those whom he had let down, he felt that he was becoming unglued. Just breathe, Roero, he thought in his native tongue, trying to hold strong. At least he did not see Echo anywhere. In fact, he swore he had seen her lean form slip into the distant brush when the rest of his pack and the newcomers rushed towards the Southern Pack. Surely she was up in the mountains somewhere by now, but he didn't dare look up. He didn't want any curious southerner to follow his gaze upwards and spot Echo in her crimes.

Keeping low, Roero just watched as Femke was snarled and snapped at, only glad that it was not him standing in her place. Now, he was relieved that it was her and the others that drew the attention of the southerners.Better them than him, he figured, and so, with Felle and most of the others now distant from him, Roero remained crouched on the ridge like a spectator, happy to be out of the fuss. However, there was one presence he knew had not forgotten about him. Dezire. He caught her thoughtful glance in his direction in just a glimpse, and his ears pinned back slightly more. Forget me...

|Maroochy|3 Years|Southern Pack|Prisoner|

Maroochy was thrown off of Yuri with great surprise. She was caught so unsuspecting that she almost didn't catch herself on her feet, and now, as she caught herself, she was almost to stunned to know what to do. However, she had been trained ruthlessly and well. The emotion of surprise quickly drained from her, like a machine leaking toxins from its gears, and now she was ready to remind him who she was. A snarl ripped from her throat and tore through the cave so powerfully that it overwhelmed Yuri's meek and stuttering attempts to explain himself. It seemed however, that she needed not to progress any further before, as her snarl echoed against the rock walls and waterfall, Yuri caved and acquiesced. Still, Maroochy growled and snapped her teeth together fiercely right into his ear, where her teeth had been so close to touching it that she could feel his fur prickle at her black lips.

A low growl rumbled in the back of her throat for every word she spoke after this. "I want you take-um me to place herbs grow. You do this, I come back no fight," she promised, her whispers coming to Yuri's ear in the rhythm of her growl's reverberation.

~Fᴇʟʟᴇ~
"The Tyrant"|Southern Pack Alpha|Location: Northern Pack Terr.|Tags: Femke, Fox

Felle had glanced at Dezire, happy to hear her encouraging words to these new dogs. The pup's excitement about his pack's arrival and words of hope actually brought a genuine smile to his face. But his smile faded as a young male spoke up boldly. He listened silently as the male questioned Felle. Many a time he had to hold back from interrupting him, and bite back the growl that stirred within him. No one had spoken to him like that in a long time. Either this guy was smart and could see through Felle's facade, or he was just very curious and calculating where to lay his allegiance.

"All very good questions," Felle replied smoothly when the male had finished speaking. "Let me tell you a story. Back in my homeland, I heard stories. In my old world, dogs were to listen to their first in command. Zit. Blijf. Blaffen. Naar Buiten. Whatever the order, we followed it without question. Even if the decision was less than favorable, we did what our master thought best. Except for de oproerling. This dog endangered us all with his disobedience and carelessness. De oproerling easily gained followers, you see, because they saw him as brave... a free rebellious spirit. He brainwashed his followers, making them believe that power was the enemy. Well, rebels didn't last long back then. They couldn't -their disobedience endangered missions tremendously and got other team members killed. Something dramatic had to happen to them. A drop in title wasn't enough for a mutineer, for what would stop the dog from turning on his master again? No, they were quickly sent away, banished, never to return to the prestigious life that they had squandered." Felle paused, his eyes still set on the male.

"You see, it wasn't cruelty that caused the master to send such a rebel away. It was for the safety of others and of the life that they had made. Why house such a danger when that danger wished to be free anyway?" Felle shook his head sadly, as if he was being so misunderstood by the male. "This is all to say: Don't blame me for this other pack's actions or choices. Yes, we all use to be one. However, rebels have no home in a pack. Would you, young dog, have held Femke and her pack hostage if you were me, to serve as lowly omegas until death? It's not in good spirit... As for their reason for leaving...what reason have they to rebel other than to seek power themselves? So, Femke," He flashed a glance at his first daughter.

"...She has gotten what she wanted: her own pack to rule. Some of my old pack followed her and now she rules the desert, half of the island might I add. If they wished to stay, then I would not have complained as long as they were happy and productive members. Why do you think we are here?" He raised his voice slightly. "Both packs are searching for your loyalty. Both packs have similar purposes: to be the strongest one on the island- and if Femke says otherwise, well... you should know that is a lie." Felle finished at last, pulling his stare away from the male.

"Before you choose, though, please... allow me to show you the Southern Pack's homeland, where the heart of the island lies. Do not judge us based on rumor. See what we have to offer you," With that, he smiled his white smile. Very well done, Felle, very well done.

~YURI~
"The Crazed Follower"|Temporary Character|Location: South Waterfall|Tag(s):Maroochy

"Okay, okay, okay..." Yuri whimpered. Wait a second. "Wait," Yuri, tipped his head to the side confused. "Why do you want--" He swallowed the question, afraid that wasting Maroochy's time would only cause him pain. "N-never mind. You promise to come back though..." The white brute turned his back to Maroochy, facing the exit. "T-this way, please." His whisper echoed throughout the cave. He began to pad out of the cave, the spray of the waterfall landing on his dirty-white fur. Yuri knew where to go, only because he'd found where the herbs grew just in case he was ever attacked... better safe to know where the herbs that quell infection are than sorry to have never bothered to look. The majority grew towards the marsh and swamplands, which wasn't far from where the waterfall was. All he had to do is follow the small outlet that left from the pool of the waterfall.

Yuri only glanced over his shoulder a few times to make sure Maroochy was following -if he found her missing, he'd surely have a heart attack. Yuri led them deeper into the forest, and as he did so, it grew darker and more moist. Soon his white paws were sinking into cool mud, and he knew that they were close. Now he needed to know what to look for, for that would decide where they should go next... deep into the swamp or just outside. Yuri didn't fancy swimming.

"W-what a-are," he panted. "You l-looking for?"

~Jakome~
"The Survivalist"|Northern Pack Beta|Tag(s):Kasey, Femke

"Hmm?" Jakome looked at the black female who called his name. "Yes, that's me," he'd answered back quietly. He frowned at the fear etched on her face and lacing her voice. It seemed unnatural on her, if not even painful. What type of life had she lived not to know of packs? Jakome couldn't help but push his nose into her shoulder in a comforting gesture. He may not have been a softy, but he felt responsible for making the dogs here safe... whether they were in his pack or not. Then, when Kai spoke up fearlessly, Jakome's fur prickled with anticipation of Felle's response. He couldn't deny what he had done...

And yet... He managed to smoothly go around the whole topic.

As anger surged through him, Jakome jumped to his paws and skirted to Femke. "Femke," His furious whisper was almost a growl. "He acted as though he were the victim! We cannot let him take them! He is too good at moving around questions, lying. He's going to trick some of them into staying with him, I just know it. Or it could just be a trap. We cannot let that happen..." His voice faded. It's not fair to them. I cannot stand to hand them over to death so easily.

Slowly, the ground beneath Echo's feet turned from hard rock to a soft dirt. In some places, she could feel the water ooze through the pads on her paws. The vegetation turned fro a desert to a swamp-like forest, the color turning for a dull brown to a vibrant green. Echo was panting heavily, the adrenaline wearing off which brought the pain in her old bones and joints back to life. She lowered her nose to the ground in search of water, lapping the liquid up happily when she found a large puddle. "Ahhh," she gasped with satisfaction, the water dripping from her jaws like a pup. Echo started to continue on when she spotted some herbs just in front of her. The scent of each herb were stronger as she walked closer, careful not to step on any plant that looked important. She began to snatch the herbs up by the stem, lucky enough to occasionally pull up the roots from some. "This is great!" Echo said, her voice just a mumble due to the herbs that she had stuffed her mouth full with. She cleared a spot on the ground, and spit out what she had picked up to investigate the plants, running through the herbs in her head. "Let's see… I have a calming remedy, herb for pain, a herb to make into a past for cuts… what else do I need?" Echo said, trying to remember what the newcomers needed. "I should find a succulent type plant! Or something with water to bring back. Yum! Fresh water straight from a jungle forest plant. That sounds appetizing," she said, a smile of satisfaction spreading across her face. Leaving her herbs in a small pile, she mentally noted her location then set off deeper into the jungle to find the plant she needed. The ground turned into mush, and Echo found herself wading in water, the jungle turning into a swamp-like setting.

Felle answered with a strange calmness, which surprised Kai. The alpha male continued on to tell the story of a power hungry dog, who manipulated others to get what he wanted. Kai laughed, but didn't keep it hidden this time. His amused, immature self broke through the serious expression he was wearing, and his growl turned into a chuckle. "You don't have to tell stories about yourself," Kai said, tossing his head down slightly, his eyes glinting with amusement. Felle then paused, and his stare was so intently stuck on Kai that he was sure he was going to end up crashing down to the ground, cowering at the paws of this stranger. Kai lifted his head, gulped, and remained silent. "Why house such a danger when that danger wished to be free anyway?" Felle said. Kai glanced at Femke, his eyes searching for answers. She doesn't look that dangerous. She could be… but everyone seems to respect her for who she is. Neither Femke or Jakome seems intent on getting back at Felle. They are so calm. Why are they so calm? The other dogs are acting like maniacs out for murder. Kai sighed, his brain spinning, confusing swirling throughout his thoughts blinding his ability to think. Kai collected his thoughts together. "If what you say is true, Femke is out for power, why was she discussing bringing us to see you and your pack? You were the impatient one who came onto her territory. And, and…" Kai began to stutter, his questions flashing faster in his head than he could speak. "Why do Femke's stories match other dogs in her pack. If it was all a lie, wouldn't there be confusions in the stories? And Echo's family, why- why- why aren't they alive? How could an elder be rebellious? Why would she be banished? She seems smart enough to follow the right leader. Did you murder her family?" His words spoke faster and faster, his heart beating in an increasing rhythm. At the word murder, his heavy breathing stopped, and his eyes widened, the word setting into his mind. He hadn't realized that he had slowly walked towards Felle, and was now just a few inches away. Trying not to appear shaken up, he puffed up his chest to lift his sunken confidence, and stepped back calmly.

Sorry - quickly thrown together and Echo's post is kinda vague. I didn't know what to put for the herbs lol I don't know any names and I don't really know what she is looking for lol So her stupidity is my stupidity
