Green eyes widened slightly in surprise - he didn't expect that question. A small smile turned the corner of his lips upwards as he tilted his head to the side thoughtfully, scrunching his eyes as if recalling some lost long memory. "Ah my warrior's name. Can't you guess?" he chuckled, stretching his white paws outwards and wiggled the individual digits playfully. Then his expression turned serious as he turned to look at Littlepaw, the curling of his tail slowing down as he searched her gaze. "Do you know the significance of these names we're given Littlepaw?" he questioned softly. He turned his gaze to the wooden walls of his den - the fallen tree that watched the rise and fall of many brilliant leaders. "The names of a clancat are not just words given to call a cat. Each name marks the trials each cat passed - a clancat's name is sacred. It defines them for they are given a name that emphasises what sets them apart from others; how they're unique and special. It gives them individuality." his gaze returned to Littlepaw, his expression tired. "It puts a lot of strain on a leader. The name they choose to give will forever define the cat, depict who they are - possibly change their lives..." he sighed softly.
Silence stretched on for a while as Whitestar's thoughts turned inwards. Change their lives... Does anycat really have an authority to choose what will define another? Even if he's the clan leader? Does he have the right to tell them what they will and forever be known as? What if I give a wrong name? Have I cursed the cat? Have I ruined their future? Then suddenly, his eyes cleared brought back from his inward thoughts as he turned quickly to the apprentice by his side. "I'm sorry Littlepaw, I went a bit off track didn't I?" the silver tom smiled apologetically.██████████████ ██████████████ ██████████████

Thunderflame welcomed his apprentice with a brilliant smile and flicked his tail playfully over the apprentice's forehead. "Aren't you just hopping with excitement." the tabby warrior teased, warmth and affection glowing in his yellow eyes. He had been quite surprised when Whitestar announced his name during the apprentice ceremony just earlier this month. He had always longed for an apprentice of his own and Shadowpaw's apprenticeship came as a delightful surprise. Though the she-cat couldn't speak Thunderflame treated her without bias. He tried his best not to dote or baby her too much and let her experience the world as any normal apprentice should. Their training had barely started yet the tom could already feel a strong bond forming between them. He could almost read the excitement and nervousness in her eyes and he laughed with mirth at the scent of happiness practically overflowing from the young she-cat. "Calm down Shadowpaw. We won't be heading out of camp today but you might be interested in waiting for the warrior's ceremony tonight. It'll be something to look forward to." he promised the bubbly cat. He raised his head at Snowdrift's comment and met the pale cat's gaze with a playful, challenging glint in his eyes. "Oh? I highly doubt that Snowdrift. She is my apprentice after all, she'll definitely stand by my side and tell the truth." (( Will reply with Honeywolf when the others reply first xDD don't want to leave them behind <3
and yes. poor tom. Honeywolf does not appreciate the extra weight, poor tom's going to get his ears clawed off - that is if she can catch him xDD -therefore takes it out on other unfortunate warriors *cough cough RedcloudforeverHoneywolf'spunchingbag cough cough* ))

Littlepaw
Before she could start guessing, Whitestar started talking about how important a warrior name was. That it wasn't just words, but a descripton and almost a sacred prize for the work the cat have done to derserve it. She was drawn into his wise words, her eyes widening as she wanted to hear everything there was to know about it before he stopped and smiled once again.
"Oh no, it's very facinating what you say" she said with a smile aswell and a nod, he still hadn't answerd her question but she let it go for now as she let out a sigh. Her tail calming and covering her darkpointed paws as she looked at Whitestar. She felt so safe and calm in his company, just by seeing him and being beside him made his calm jump over to all the others around him and how his smile almost warmed under the pelt. He was almost like a father she didn't spend time with, just like her real father who she didn't really know because he was so old or whatever else her mother had said to her about him. "My mother once told me that she changed her name when she became a queen, from Daisyshade to Daisypelt or something like that. Did she tell why? Because she wont tell me" her voice sounded almost a bit sad as she told him, she had asked so many times but had just gotten a cold glare like always and knew she shouldn't ask again. She hoped Whitestar knew something, after all she knew, she could have just told her friends to call her that instead or something but she wanted to know so she could get that out of the way. She also wanted to talk about names and stuff like this, it calmed her nerves down since she didn't need to think about what her own would be.
(I just readed through the prolouges again, I am so exited! I also can't wait to start rping with Scarletclaws, I'll wait untill we start the prophecy. Also, could Littlepaw and Whitestar bond? Or bond stronger? I have forgotten to ask enyone else, and since they are just talking now, I though maybe they could bond before the ceremony if thats okay with you Taiyo?)

Whitestar's smile turned into one of relief when it seems like Littlepaw was not bored by his ramblings - if anything she seemed even interested in his talk. Oho, what an interesting apprentice you have Eaglestrike. The leader thought fondly as he swiped his tongue over a white paw and wiped it across his ears. His ears perked up with interest when Littlepaw started talking again, however his green eyes became clouded and shielded when he absorbed her question. The silver tabby let out a soft sigh - it was bound to happen sooner or later, Littlepaw would have to know the truth one day... yet, it felt as if it wasn't time for her yet. "Yes, I do know the reason for your mother's change of names." he started softly, unsure how he should approach the delicate subject. His tail curled and flicked on the wood of the fallen tree that acted as his den, the sound echoed around the area eerily as the leader pondered over his words carefully. "However this secret is not mine to tell - at least not yet." he meowed, his voice apologetic. "But when the time comes, I promise Littlepaw. The truth will be revealed to you." he chuckled softly, rubbing her ears affectionately.(( Ok >u< but remember to finish up her form! Because HISTORY is very important to the prophecy!
on that note, those without a history/background on their forms should /attempt/ to add a bit on your character's background. Just because. It is very much needed for... stuff. Thank you ;u; ))

Littlepaw
Her hopes for him telling her made her heat fall a bit, but she understood why and gave a quick nod. "Yeah, I think you're right" she said with a sligh sigh and suddently yawned, not even thinking that she was kinda tired after everything going on with her and all. She had almost forgotten to be nervous before it hit her back again and a shiver ran down her spines, making her lift her shoulders a bit almost like she was trying to hide before she stretched he body straight up again. Looking back to Whitestar, she wanted to know what he had felt like when he got his warrior name. "Whitestar, where you very nervous when you got your warrior name?" she asked, curiousity again back in her eyes as she asked him with a light tone to her voice.
She had heard someone say that curiousity killed the cat, maybe an elder or so, and she didn't quite get the phrase of it. But if so, she would have been dead by now. Curiousity was one of her characteristics, a good one? She didn't know but she hoped for it.

He felt something in his chest twist a bit at Littlepaw's disappointed expression. He was never comfortable with keeping secrets away from his clanmates, since it creates a rift between two cats but this was a promise he made to Littlepaw's mother. One that he'll have to keep. He was drawn from his thoughts as Littlepaw spoke again and the silver tabby turned to concentrate on her words, pushing the worries aside for now. "Of course Littlepaw. I was absolutely terrified." the white pawed tom purred with amusement, whiskers twitching. "Ah, I still remember that day clearly. It was a bright and cloudless night that Heatherstar called my name." Whitestar's eyes gleamed with childish glee as he recalled the memories of the past. "I was shaking by my knees. Each apprentice was given their new names and it felt like moons before my name was called. Honestly? By the time I stood out from the line of cats, I was almost convinced I failed the apprentice's assessment. Needless to say though, it was just unnecessary worries caused by nervousness - I passed, like all the apprentices before me and given the name Whitefoot." He chuckled lightly. "So really Littlepaw, don't let your nerves ruin the ceremony for you tonight. You would want to experience it with excitement and joy. But don't let doubt sneak in. It's a nasty predator that feeds on your mind. Terrible thing it is."

ᴍᴏᴏᴅ: excited ➝ ᴡʜᴇʀᴇ: camp ➝ ᴡɪᴛʜ: Snowdrift and Thunderflame
My ears perk at his words. A warrior ceremony? I think back to when I was a kit and remembered that I had gone to one before when I was very young. I couldn't remember who it was for, but the pride and anxiety was overpowering when the young cat stepped forward. Mine won't be for many moons, sadly. My mind snaps back into reality and I hear something Thunderflame said to Snowdrift. "'She is my apprentice after all, she'll definitely stand by my side and tell the truth.'" Tell the truth? About what? the comment strikes me a bit strangely. Why wouldn't I tell the truth?, but I disregard the comment because the tom doesn't seem nervous at all.

LittlepawShe listened to him describing his ceremony, she could almost feel it in her stomach on how it would be.
Whitefoot, I knew I had heard that name before somewhere! She was quickly snapped back as Whitestar told her to keep the nervousness away and she had to smile, seeing the childish gleam in is eyes like he had seen in the others and her own from her reflection. The gleam that tells whoever looking that theres always something fun waiting behind the next leap and the next word coming out of the cats mouth, and in this situations it was calming and advicing words out of Whitestars mouth. She took a deep breath inn and let it out slowly with closed eyes and sat like that for a short moment before she looked up at him, smiling widely with exitement in her eyes and her paws tickling to move. "
Thank you Whitestar, I will, and I just can't wait for the ceremony. I will go get a quick groom before the ceremony, I'll see you then" and with that, she bounced up and started trotting towards the exit of the den and came out. Taking a quick sniff in the air, scenting a unfamiliar scent that could may be from that loner that came in before the sun went down and some fresh-kill that made her belly rumble. But she didn't have time for eating, quickly crossing the camp towards the apprentice den to get some silence to clear her head and to clean her pelt a bit before the ceremony. This was an important thing of her life and she had to look nice.

Squirrelpaw
The ginger tabby she-cat rolled over, onto her back. Her spine itched, and she wriggled around in her mossy nest until it stopped. Sitting up, she glanced outside. Her deep green eye surveyed the camp. For the first time, she wondered what it would be like if she could see. Properly, with two eyes- not just one. Looking out now, she could not tell how long it would take to reach the fresh-kill pile, or the warrior's den, or even the mouth of the apprentice's den.
Slowly, she reached out one paw towards the opening to the den. It's not far... Her paw moved slowly out until it reached its peak and began to fall again. The entrance was nowhere near. Tears pricking her eye, she pounced forwards and pressed her muzzle against the den opening. It was a small comfort.
Pushing the bad thoughts away, she started to concentrate on the good things. She had caught a mouse today, learned how to crouch properly, had fun in the forest, made friends- or at least not made enemies- with Snaketail, and now she was warm in the apprentices den.
Squirrelpaw noticed Littlepaw approaching, and she smiled at the other cat. As she came closer, the long-furred ginger tabby purred, "I heard it's your warrior ceremony soon? Congratulations! I bet you'll make a great warrior." Even though she was known for being shy, she was always friendly, and Littlepaw deserved compliment.
