She looked at her shelf of trinkets and saw this shimmery good that she was giving to Toby. “Aha! Found it!” She picked up the larger deer antler and brought it out to Toby. “I hunted the deer myself.” She held her head high, barely making any sense as she had a deer antler in her mouth. She dropped it in front of him and smiled. “I got you an antler from it,” she looked at it, her ears flopping down to the sides of her face and then looking at Toby again. “What do you think..?”

...... Apollo looked over the prey with a slight smile, then back to Kazumi. "Eat your fill and pass the rest out to the pack. Higher ranks first." He spoke to Kazumi in a low tone. Apollo padded past her, his shoulder lightly hitting hers in an almost playful manner. That's when a small dog approached him, looking happy and cheerful. He growled darkly. "May I eat this morsel, sir?" Apollo eyed the smaller dog and rose to his full height to tower over the female. "Only a morsel. Pass it around the rest of the pack when you are done." Even though Apollo was infamous for starving the lower ranks, he knew not to make his hunters weak.

Micah's eyes held a concern for his friend in them as she laid out her woes, lying down and trying to force her tears down. "I see." Athena really wasn't acting like her usual self. He turned his head towards the old carousel and eyed the horses, his ears drooping as he was filled with that same feeling of pity. "It's hard to escape the memories of the past. I know that feeling all too well." The image of the dog he used to see as a mentor and father figure flooded his mind, and he fought the anger that came with it. He had learned many things from those days and his time traveling the outside world. "One thing I learned was that you can't force them down inside of you and seal them away. It hurts you more than it would learning to cope with those feelings and move forward. You can't run from the past, but you can learn from it, and adapt."

Nova had awoken with a start, sucking in a quiet and sharp gasp. Her heart hammered in her chest, and her fur stood on end. Another nightmare. Slowly, she picked herself up onto her legs, stretching to help clear the last foggy remains of sleep. With her body slightly more relaxed, Nova padded away from where she normally slept and out with her fellow pack members. She eyed the strange metallic objects scattered about, looming over their surroundings. Amusement park rides were what they were, but Nova knew little of man and less of their creations. The sight of the intimidating objects sent shivers down her spine. Forcing the thought away from her mind, Nova padded towards her pack mates. Perhaps she could talk to someone for a little bit before going on a hunt.

Athena nodded, looking down with a small shaky sigh as she looked back at Micah, seeing the pity on his own face. Her ears pointed again as she shook off the sadness, she was to start her patrol now and she hated to admit it-but she really wanted to stay and talk more with Micah-she truly enjoyed his company and advice. Athena sighed, lazily getting to her paws-she wondered if Apollo knew about them being friends-would it be a problem? Would he get in trouble for her doings? It's not like they were crossing borders though..Athena looked back at him, her tail droopy as she tilted her head and sighed, dipping her head down to lie her skull against his in a comforting manner and a goodbye. "I should be going-I need to patrol and head back for the morning meal..but I'll see you at noon?" she asked, her voice now stronger as she pulled her thoughts away from wherever they were.

Keenan always felt a pang in his chest when killing animals-gladly it wasn't a young one or he wouldn't at all. He moved slowly, stomach on the ground before the deer turned its head, he knew he had to jump now or it'd be gone. He leapt, square onto its back and strongly bringing it to the ground as he pinned it down, his paws digging into its fur as his strong skull, keeping it in place, "Now Cookie! Finish it off" he barked encouragingly, unable to see her from the way he'd buried his head against its stomach.

Cookie froze and looked at the deer for a second or two. How was she going to finish this large beast off? She closed her eyes and bit at its neck and clenched down as hard as she could. After a struggle for a few seconds, the deer finally stopped moving and Cookie let go. Cookie looked at Keenan, expecting to be judged for that weak finish of hers.
