xxxxxxxxxxLore had been up for some time in the den, attempting to salvage even thirty more minutes of sleep. though with everyone else waking and moving about it became near impossible. even more so when the loud voice of Pyyrha reached her ears. she rose to her feet and shook her sandy pelt, casting everything from small twigs to dirt and burrs to the other side of the den. the sun temporarily blinded her as she stepped onto the warm path. her golden eyes cast to the ground as she blinked the spots from her vision. Lore glanced to where some of her pack-mates stood, with Pyyrha and the starlet Magnar in the center. she knew those two would eventually end up in an altercation, and Magnar would obviously be the loser. Lore admired his determination, but scoffed at his poor foresight. Pyyrha, on the other hand, got into Lore's skin with her obnoxious ways and she wanted nothing to do with her.

xxxxxxxxxxshe didn't care to see the outcome, so instead Lore began making her way down to the river, and then eventually to the woods where she hoped to find some prey. although it was spring and time for regrowth, prey had been awfully scarce as of late, and to be honest, Lore didn't foresee catching more than a rabbit or two.

xxxxxxxxxxbefore she reached the river however, her attention was drawn to a familiar figure. Faustus. Lore knew there were only two groups in relation to the brute. those that knew him, and those that wished they didn't. this only fueled Lore's fascination with him. mustering up all of the courage she could find, the wolf made her way toward him, making sure not to show the giddy feeling that was growing in her chest. he was tall and imposing, both of which drew Lore in. He had the tall, dark, handsome thing going for him, and she couldn't deny that he was extremely captivating. as she approached him, Lore recited in her head what she would say. So far she hadn't had many interactions with Faustus, so her confidence was still shaky, and it surely would be for quite awhile.

xxxxxxxxxxShe was only a few feet away from the male now. She was quite short and slender, so he towered above her. Something that both Lore found both comfort and intimidation. salutations, Faustus. Lovely day, is it not? I was just about to go for some exercise, as well as search for prey. perhaps you'd like to join me? we're more likely to find food for the pack that way. her words were said with a smile, and she hoped she'd been strategic enough in her phrasing that he wouldn't catch on so quickly to her attraction for him.

xxxxxxxxxxLore glanced back at the fight that was brewing near the healer's den. it appeared that opinions were split. with some wearing expressions of intrigue and enjoyment, while others shook their heads with disappointment. after all, this wasn't uncommon for Pyyrha. before she could hear Faustus' reply, a howl broke the air. Its origin was clear. Isaac. Lore sighed and turned toward the alpha and listened to his announcement of a loner in the territory.how boring. Isaac was eager, as always, for others to do his dirty work for him. why don't you chase him? scumbag. she thought, not caring to get involved in whatever sick game the king wanted to play. instead she stayed where she was, waiting on Faustus' reaction to the situation.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀He was right. The other wolf had definitely heard him. It took a while for it all to process but in the end he was right there in the moment. Val noted another voice, female, that greeted the other wolf as a friend. However they were shot down quickly by a angry remark. Val was already dreading what was next, anxiety bubbled in his stomach. The sound of crunching grass froze Val in his crouching position, until the large black wolf stopped over him. Damn you Valdus. The loner scolded himself. He probably looked like a quivering pup just learning how to walk to this dominant male. His paws were stuck to the ground, even though every cell in his body screamed at him to move the hell out of the way, he couldn't. Valdus tore his wobbling gaze away from the ground and into the eyes of the enormous wolf that was currently threatening to 'beat his ass to the ground'. Val made a sound that was somewhere between a whimper and a growl. But he was cut off by a massive slam to the jaw.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Everything was spinning. The loner's vision was swarmed with black spots of various sizes. But even then, all he could see was black. Val tasted the salty metallic tang of blood on his lip and that seemed to do the trick. Finally, he retaliated. He shoved one of his hind legs into the other's stomach, allowing him to escape the black wolf's clutches. For a moment Valdus thought about running, but then the wolf spoke again, sounding all the more threatening. Val was still trying to hold himself together. A single mistake during this confrontation could lead to something He would regret his whole life. He decided to hold his ground. He kept his amber gaze steady with the larger wolf's golden one, preparing to defend himself. Instead he did something quite odd. He howled.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Instantly, Val knew he should run. That wolf was the 'alpha' of the pack. The most dominant of the males. And the whole pack would coming running at his call. Currently Val was in a very tight position. He would never be able to get away from the whole pack. His semblance wouldn't even do anything to help him, in fact it would be a disadvantage. However what he didn't realize, is that his semblance was already working, trying to calm the others around him. While he was in this frightening position, his semblance had kicked in by instinct to try and help him. Even though it wouldn't do much, and would be draining his energy every second of the way.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Another wolf had joined 'Zack' at the hip and the female was still there as well. He assumed that the pack was a ways away because he didn't see anyone else coming after him. By then Val had already wasted a good three seconds before he decided it was a good idea to bolt. 'Five seconds... headstart. Crap.' And so, like any normal wolf with a brain, he ran.

      ↳ ━━ ‘ 𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗦 ( . )
      ━━━「 // GENDER female // AGE seven months // RANK starlet // LOCATION camp // TAGGED tova // 」
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Thankful for the comforting gesture, Iris leaned into Tova tiredly, blinking her eyes a few times to keep herself awake. She listened to what the older hunter had to say. Iris let out a brief sigh of disappointment. The starlet knew that she wouldn't be able to stop the fight. At least not herself. She was far from threatening. However when Tova mentioned that they could go hunting if she preferred, the white-furred pup looked up. "Could we?" Even if she wasn't very good at it, she still found joy in the search. Finding the prey was her favorite part, the thrill of the chase. Killing it, however, was the part she couldn't find herself to do. It was either that or she messed up, fumbling and tripping on her paws.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Then there was another howl. It was from the king. This time, it wasn't a wake up call. It was a maniacal calling for the pack. He had found something, or rather, someone. Iris visibly shuddered and closed her eyes. This day wasn't going in her favor. Not at all. Luckily, Pyrrha had left Magnar alone to what looked like her giving into Zack's call to go chase the poor wolf that had found themelves in the pack's territory. This happening had ruined her spirits, going into the forest seemed like a bad option. She looked towards the ground and shook her head quickly. "Y'know, I think it would be better staying in camp after all. Looks like Pyrrha and Magnar aren't fighting anyways." She said, keeping her gaze to the ground. In truth she just didn't want to see what they were going to do to the wolf. Zack didn't let anyone who wandered into the territory. This 'chase' was just purely for his amusement. That made her sick. She hated him. That was her final thought. She hated him. She hated this pack. The only wolf she could tolerate was Tova. And if Tova wasn't here... well she would have been long gone by now. Iris had many times considered leaving. Their sadistic king and members who were out for blood had left a bad mark on the young starlet. They were wolves not to be trifled with. But as a young and notably weak starlet, she had no place with them. Most of them thought she was useless anyways.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Now that both Magnar and Pyrrha had left the vacinity of the healer's den, it looked like a good spot to block the other things that were happening out from her thoughts. Iris stood up and shook out her fluffy white pelt before glancing up at Tova. "Can we go up to the healer's den and watch Alastor?" She inquired, noting Belinda's absence. She always looked for Tova's approval before she did anything. It was natural now, for the both of them. She'd rather have the approval of someone older and much wiser than her before she did anything stupid. Iris shifted her golden gaze back up to the den, searching for Alastor. Before Tova had a chance to reply, Iris was already on her way up the ledge, watching the ground carefully so she didn't fall. Her curiosity had gotten the better of her and she was also impatient. Iris looked up from her feet and attempted to glance into the den, but ultimately failed and lost her footing. She fell on her stomach. With a soft groan the tiny starlet put one foot out and began to make her way off the ground, as per usual. Falling didn't cause her any pain anymore, it just annoyed her... a lot. God forbid she could do anything right. With another grunt she got back up on all fours and kept going, making sure to keep her eyes on the ground.

Kayn watched as Pyrrha ignored him not thinking much of it as he was used to it he decided he'd go out on his own to find Belinda. He turned his head as the commotion began in the camp he chose a good time to leave Zack had begun a chase and Kayn wanted nothing to do with it. Kayn wandered the camp looking for someone who may know the where about's of Belinda he smiled as he saw Tova and Iris. He approached the two with a nod "G-Good m-morning!
He had heard Iris mention something about Alastor "C-could I j-join you? I-i've been l-looking for Belinda." His eyes filled with hope as he could finally find Belinda, but it was nice to have the company of Tova who he was close to. Tova was naturally kind to him and defended him as Belinda did. He didn't know Iris well but she seemed like a nice starlet.
"Iris it s-sheems' like you're not having a g-good m-morning, b-but keep y-your h-head up!" Kayn smiled at the she-wolf his honey orbs filled with content as he wished her day would get better, he knew the pack was usually violent and he also didn't like it. As much as he looked up to his king he scared him and a few other pack mates it seemed as Iris had something in common with Kayn. So he thought of her as a friend he smiled warmly at the two wolves.
Kayn jokingly said "I-if you t-two l-ladies would l-like to be accompanied by a-a true g-gentleman, w-we can make our journey t-to the healers d-den to meet A-Alastor!" A big goofy grin came upon his maw as he spoke.286 - words

‘゚𝒮. WHO WE AREN'T ─── !’ // 2

Postby ataraxic_gone » Tue Nov 27, 2018 10:24 am

ADDILYN
dentShe always wondered why it was so hard for wolves to tell her and her twin apart. Sure they had the same features but she would have hoped that at the very least their voices would be distinguishable. Apparently, that wasn't so and Isaac threw an angry statement at her trying to figure out who Addilyn was. She held back a reserved laugh, as his mate she would call the king whatever she chose and that included his birth name. She walked closer hoping that her approach would reveal the much more feminine scent she knew she had. "Addilyn," she answered matter-of-factly as Isaac walked away ears pointed towards a sound. She felt her heart tense up, she knew that posture, voice and snarl- he was on the hunt. Her ears perked as well, she had clearly missed something that her mate hadn't. Then just like that he was on someone, growling away like a feral- or perhaps an alpha. Isaac's behaviour often blurred the line between the two when he was aggressive, perhaps that was why she always excused his bad behaviour. It was easy to make it in her mind seem like he wasn't responsible for the worst of his actions, especially when he had such a great awareness of how dangerous his semblance was.
dentEverything which happened next happened in a blur but her mind processed it all. She nodded towards her mate, he knew her talents and hoped he expected her to fill the role she normally did during these pursuits. She wasn't sure if Isaac had been genuine in his statement of a five-second head start but she honoured it none the less. One, two, three, four, five- the air under her feet hissed as she took off with a burst of speed before slowing to her normal run. She'd closed most of the distance those five seconds had earnt and she waited running after him until her semblance came off cooldown. She didn't speak, didn't make snide statements. It wasn't her to be cruel or mean, she wouldn't try to stop his fleeing but she had a duty to her pack to at least assist in their cruelty. As she looked into her soul, watching this loner run away she felt a pang of sympathy. She couldn't imagine the fear he was going through right now and it was made harder by a calmness that overcame her as she got closer. At least he would live to survive this ordeal- well she hoped he would at least.

VALEI
dentValei had an early morning start, waltzing around the camp like he owned it, because in a way, he did. His sister was queen and while she wasn't the lover of the brute Isaac he had to act as if he cared- at least somewhat. This was what gave him his freedom. If Isaac harmed one hair on his pelt Addilyn would lose that infatuation she had for the king and turn against him. He knew she would and he imagined that Zack knew as well. He could do as he wanted and while he had all this freedom he never flaunted it as much as he could have. He didn't want to test his theory beyond the ways he already had, he wouldn't risk this small peace in the lives for his own ego. He'd roamed the territory all morning, using his semblance to get to places most wolves normally wouldn't be able to and simply enjoying life. The movement of a rabbit had gathered his attention and he'd taken the time from his early morning leisure to catch it and return to camp to leave it in the open for whoever would so desire a snack- he'd catch something later for himself to eat.
dentHis sisters form caught his attention and he looked at her with a looked of indignation on his face. He could understand Addi's actions if she had done them for ambition- to become something bigger and better but no, it was for love. He disliked that she had given up so much to only receive so little. He supposed the saying was true, the greatest of all emotions was love. His face shifted in little ways his sister would understand before she began moving away and he, in turn, called upon his semblance and felt his body unravel. The world was viewed differently in this form, after all, he didn't have any more eyes. He did see the world however in a strange way, similar to echolocation yet there was a feeling beyond that as if the world was coloured. He couldn't describe it well and it had taken him lot's of practice to be able to navigate the world but now with years of practised he felt more at ease in this form than he did in that of his birth form. He hated that he could only use it for minutes at a time and that for every minute he spent in it he had to spend outside of it.
dentHe moved away into the forest before reforming on a tree branch he had tried and tested before- one he trusted to recharge his semblance. In the distance, he realised that a ruckus had started- one which he was unable to hear in his other form. A hunt was on? He shook his head and prayed that whatever had annoyed the king so much was quick and smart enough to get away.

        ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Iris’ small voice rose up to her ears, double checking — it seemed — if Tova would keep her promise to go out into the forest. The hunter smiled and stood up slowly, allowing time for the younger wolf to realize she was changing positions so she didn’t loose her balance, “Of course, it’d be nice to stretch our legs, wouldn’t it?” she replied with a lazy wag of her tail. Tova was ready to the lead the way out of camp with Iris at her heels when another loud howl rang out across the entirety of the territory. The female lifted her head and her erect ears quickly pushed backwards when she heard the angry, gravely tone to the king’s howl. He was rounding up the pack. She prayed that whatever poor loner Zack had cornered was fast on their feet, she could see the excitement that sparked in some of the eyes of the wolves who quickly bolted out to join the leader and knew this was a chase. She lowered her head, she chased deer and other prey, not wolves.

Though, Zack’s orders were final and she wasn’t looking to get in trouble by disobeyed his clear and direct command. Tova turned around to tell Iris to stay close to her when they joined the rest of the pack, but the white-pelted starlet was speaking. Her saddened tone and downcast eyes immediately made Tova stand in front of her, as if trying to block her from everything and everyone else. Iris’ newest request would be going against Zack’s wishes and she glanced over she shoulder worriedly as her mind spun — caught between what to do — as if she expected the king to tear through the camp that second, snarling at her to follow his command. Though, the camp was still and quiet now that Pyrrha and Magnar had broken up the conflict. He has enough wolves by his side already, I suppose.. she thought cautiously. Though, she realized that her mind had already been made up as soon as Iris requested to stay in camp. A protective flare had entered her bloodstream when she saw how shaken the young wolf was already. Tova nudged Iris’ cheek, “Yes, of course, we can stay back,” she murmured before she turned and looked around camp, wondering if anyone else had stayed back. It wasn’t long before the starlet beside her piped up again and the frizzy-furred wolf glanced from Iris to the healer’s den. Then, she nodded, “That sounds like a lovely idea,” she agreed with a small smile on her maw.

Tova began to slowly make her way towards the healer’s den, following Iris like an aged mother followed her spritely pup around. Actually, the hunter was often very still. She moved slowly, as if always treading through water and kept her voice low and gentle. Even her eyes were always filled with a comforting glow as her eyelids drooped slightly. A friendly face to approach, she was. Which is all she hoped for. Tova’s slow pace suddenly faltered as she watched Iris trip over her own paws and fall to the ground. She immediately bounded forwards a few steps, ready to hurriedly nudge Iris onto her paws and check her over for injuries. But, the hunter pulled up short at the last minute and backed away from the younger wolf slightly. She realized that if she had rushed to Iris’ aid it would only damage her pride. So, she worriedly watched as she lifted herself onto her paws and followed closely behind her as she made her way up towards the ledge.

A stuttering voice sounded behind Tova and she turned to look over her shoulder, grinning when she saw that it was Kayn, who was a dear friend to her, “Thank you, Kayn. You are welcome to join us as always,” she said softly with a friendly dip of her head. They were nearly at the healer’s den now, just a few bounds from the entrance. She quickly slipped in front of Iris and walked up the ledge with long strides. Tova called into the den while also keeping a close watch on Iris from above, “Alastor, I hope you wouldn’t mind some company,” she commented brightly.

-----dawn rose above the mountains, painting the sky above a soft pink, chasing away the starlit void of the night. for a few moments, the forest remained cloaked in pale fog, a calming stillness before the rising sun awakened the forest's inhabitants. right on cue with the first ray of pale morning sunlight, the birds began their morning song, twittering away to their forest audience. their symphonies reached the ears of alastor, who answered with a groan and tugged his ears downward to muffle the chorus of chirping. alastor was granted a few more moments of peace before the sharp bark of pyrrha managed to ring in his ears despite his best efforts to block the noise. a heavy, drowsy lid rose for a brief moment, revealing a liquid gold ocular that searched for the source of his rude awakening. the temptation to sneak a few poppy seeds into pyrrha's herb bundle crept into his mind for a brief moment. he chased away the thought, knowing belinda would scold him to the day he was six feet under if he attempted such an act. do no harm...unless they absolutely deserve it. one thing was for sure, alastor thought he deserved an uninterrupted slumber, especially after spending half the night absolutely soaked to the bone from the last night's rainfall. thankfully, his auburn pelt had fluffed up or else he would start the morning looking like a drowned rat. the healer's gaze drifted over to belinda, giving her a look that conveyed it's your turn to take care of the child to a certain point. a thankful sigh passed through his parted lips as belinda kindly dealt with pyrrha while the brute nuzzled back into his moss bedding, resting his head against his crossed front paws. belinda's nudge brought him back into the conscious world again. finally, alastor brought himself to his paws. a gentle nod was directed at belinda as his partner excused herself the den. his back arched in a stretch, his torso brushing against the refreshing, cold stone flooring of the den. lean muscle rippled beneath his groomed pelt.
-----perhaps in another life, he would've chosen the life of a warrior, but the lifestyle didn't suit his neutral tendencies. as a healer, there was no requirement to chose a side as long as you did your job right. and alastor did a damn good job, he made sure of it. there was a time when the brute was a loner, thin with a pelt that clung to his bones that jutted out like the rugged tops of the mountains. back then, he was only concerned for his own survival. it was that primal desire that drove him to the pack during the first frost three years ago, knowing his chances of making it to spring would increase if he managed to wiggle his way into the group. his semblance proved useful to the past king, and so he was placed in the role as a healer. a young alastor was rather rebellious, hardly any resemblance to the wolf that now stood in his paws. he was an intelligent lad and quickly learned to trade in his sharp tongue for a diplomatic voice instead. a true neutral to the core, he didn't meddle in anything that didn't concern himself and didn't sway one side or the other. he was the voice of reason in the chaos, a welcomed attribute in the hectic mess of a pack.

-----grimacing as he sidestepped around the wet dirt where pyrrha had spat, he made his way out of the den he shared with belinda. he bowed his head as the early morning sunlight met his eyes, the soft light setting his pelt aglow like a pale flame of a dying fire. before he could take another step forwards, the young magnar bolted past him towards his den where pyrrha still stood, recovering from the bitter taste of the herb concoction. before he could issue a warning to the young brute, magnar had already sealed his fate the moment he opened his maw to challenge the experienced warrior. the last poor soul who decided to clash with pyrrha had ended up in his den with a dislocated shoulder, a cracked fang, and a shredded ear. it took several days of rain to wash the den of the metallic aroma of blood. alastor wasn't keen on going through the same ordeal so soon, especially with dwindling supplies of herbs. he kept his maw shut despite this, knowing it was best if the young pup learned his lesson, however painful it might be. he growled a warning at the two, shooing them away from the den, "your little fight will have to take place somewhere other than my den.
------the fur along his scruff flattened as pyrrha left the den to find a supervisor, camille no doubt. his turned his narrowed gaze to magnar, who still remained close to the ledge, perhaps too stunned to head the healer's warning. he shook his head, tongue clicking 'tsk tsk' in bemusement, it was obvious that magnar had not planned on his words escalating to a fight. in the distance, zach's morning howl echoed through the camp, waking up whoever had managed to sleep through pyrrha's outburst. shortly afterwards, another howl followed, ringing with aggression as zach announced the presence of a loner. from his perch on the ledge, his gaze was immediately drawn to an unfamiliar pelt that was dwarfed by zach's intimidating stance. he didn't bother to worry about the poor fool of a wolf that wandered into their territory, even more so their camp. if zach didn't finish of the loner himself, the pack would finish what was started. it was an unfair fight, but if the loner was smart, he would run at the first chance he got.
------scoffing, alastor returned to the peacefulness of his den. he was more useful spending his energy on more important activities than playing along with one of zach's games. the more vicious of his packmates would follow alongside their king during the chase, allowing alastor to slink away from the excitement without being reprimanded. he was thankful belinda went out on her own accord to fetch more herbs, he knew she wouldn't have wanted to see such animosity. a low hum rumbled in his chest as he nudged each misplaced herb back into its correct place, tidying up after pyrrha's morning outburst. hearing several sets of paws padding up to the entrance of the den, he turned his attention away from his organizing, his golden orbs meeting the warm tones of tova's gentle gaze. a smile danced on his lips, a pleasant deviation from his usual grim frown. "ah, need a place to hide away until the chase is over? please, come in. I wouldn't mind a bit of company." he nodded his greetings as iris and kayn followed tova into his spacious den.

xxxxxzack grinned. of course some— no, most— of his packmates hated this choice of his, zack couldn't help but be pleased. sure, he was sadistic, but it filled him with joy and pleasure. the thrill of the chase, the fear of the prey, and the hope that they might get away and then crushing it with a single blow... now that— that— was the best part of it. of course zack didn't plan on killing the wolf. how could he? that wolf could be useful somehow. perhaps he's part of a small group of wolves near the territory? if so, then he'd have to get rid of them. they'd be a nuisance, especially when zack planned on expanding the territory more. was it too much? perhaps. but then again, it wouldn't hurt to have more territory. for a wolf, territory meant power, and power— to zack, at least— was everything.
xxxxxthe large male noticed that not many followed his orders, but he knew that there would be more eventually. it was either that wolf, of them. they knew he could be a good king, but when he was displeased he could be far from angelic. at least addilyn was chasing the male; though zack knew there would probably be a good yelling afterward. ugh. that'd be very irritating and not worth his time. tensing up his muscles, he began to chase as well. zack gained speed quickly, his large build not slowing his speed. as zack zoned in and prepared to leap and end the chase, he felt a strong sense of calm. it almost stopped zack completely, until he saw the fear in the stranger's eyes. that is what snapped him back to his horrid reality. "thought'cha got away, did ya? think again!" he snarled, leaping at the wolf. again, a sense of calming washed over zack, which changed the direction of his blow. instead of his center back to pin him down, a strong hit to the side was thrown. the wolf fell to the ground, hitting the ground pretty hard and knocked him out. "ugh. what a lame end." zack growled, though he had to admit he did feel better.
xxxxxlooking around, he saw that not many wolves followed. there was enough to get a somewhat decent chase, but it would've been more fun with more. though if the wolf did wake up while zack was taking him back to their camp, he doubted he'd have to guts to try and run. after all, the first few seconds of zack's countdown, he hesitated and froze. not a fighter whatsoever. he just froze, and then ran. of course, if zack himself was in that position, he'd go down fighting. what a gutless freak. the male grabbed him by the fur of his neck in his mouth and began to haul him back. dragging a wolf alone was not easy, and gave zack a good workout. at least he had some use. if zack was alone and wasn't king, he'd more definitely torcher the dog, but he couldn't lose faith of all of his underlings.

Kayn grinned as Tova welcomed him to join. As they entered Alastor's den his eyes wandered the spacious den filled with different herbs the healers den was one of his favorite dens as he enjoyed the peacefulness of it...Well most of the time it was peaceful. "H-hey a-a-alastor, did y-you by a-any chance know w-where Belinda we-ent." He shook his head and internally scolded himself for his stutter. He turned to Tova and Iris who'd been seeking a hide out until the chase was over, he respected the two's decision, as the poor soul who had stumbled upon Zack is surely a goner and it would call for a gruesome death with no mercy. It'd be unlikely of Zack or who ever catches the fool to spare his life. "I-i hope y-you two h-have a nice t-time in t-the den, i-it's p-peaceful here." He hoped not to cross paths with the chase while he searched for Belinda and he hoped she was alright where ever she may be. His eyes fluttered a little as he sneezed his eyes wandered to the lavender, he detested the smell of lavender as it made him sneeze.

Ares detested the sound of zacks morning call as he rolled over and tried to ignore it, his golden eyes blinked as he laid motionless in his den it was quiet for a moment before her heard the roars of Pyrrha causing useless commotion he rolled his eyes before beginning to get up, his muscles rippled beneath his spring coat his eyes peering out of his den to see if anyone had been around. He'd hate to have to chat with someone, suddenly the commotion stopped from another howl from Zack filled the air.He shook his head an idiot wandered into their territory again, psh Ares shook his head, anything the pack had done to the wolf he'd deserve it you don't wander into another packs territory without consequences. Although he'd love to chase and cause suffering on the wolf who'd trespassed he'd rather lay and watch it all un-fold as he'd maliciously laugh beneath his breath.
xxQuietly Ares wandered up to a small cliff that stood near their camp as he watched multiple of his pack members chase after a wolf. He laid on his stomach stretching out into the warm spring sun the slight breeze blowing through his coat allowing for his shed to leave, he closed his eyes and listened to the cackles of the other wolves and grinned picturing what he'd do to the wolf. His ears perked up as he turned his head to the sound of foot steps heading towards his direction, he snickered who'd be dumb enough to bother him? All they'd do is piss the brute off and he'd give them hell for it. A low rasp followed by a growl emerged from his maw "Don't you have anything better to do then to bother me?Get lost!" He barked hoping to scare who ever it was off.

only in the darkness can you see the stars.

xxxxakira addressed the other wolf's words a small sarcastic grin. "well you sure did," she pointed out. the young she-wolf shook her head as an insect landed on her nose, buzzing peskily to announce its presence. the irritating bug leap back into the air at the movement and akira watched it fly off, wistful, until it was a little black dot in the distance, eventually disappearing from her sight. she turned back to eos and nodded slightly. she was a bit hesitant to talk much about her personal business with him, as it definitely wasn't his problem to worry about, but he didn't seem to mind. "yeah. better than most though." akira didn't want to share all of her problems with the poor wolf, so she stopped at that. "true, true. wouldn't want one of the young ones' paws freezing off, right?"

xxxxthe starlet followed closely behind the older wolf as he moved up onto the river bank, her paws sinking into the ground slightly as it wasn't as stable as the surrounding area because of the water. "lucky you then, immune to the cold. can't wait 'til i'm older." akira's sarcastic tone came out again once her shivering had subsided. for a moment, she wondered what it was that made her talk so openly with this wolf. she'd never really spoken to him beforehand and she was usually fairly quiet, so she wasn't sure. her thoughts were interrupted by eos' mention of the lake and she immediately perked up. akira loved that lake. she enjoyed swimming and practicing with her semblance there more than in any other body of water in their territory. "i'd love that. i wouldn't mind having the others along either, we may not be the best of friends, but they're okay. preferably sometime when the water's not as cool though?" she responded, her sentence ending in a smirk.

xxxxat the sound of a sharp voice of whom she identified as zack, akira flinched. when encouraged to join him in the silly and utterly useless chase of the poor wolf that managed to make its way to the camp unnoticed, she had an internal war over running after him. she eventually decided to stay still and wait to see eos' decision. "shall we?"

the trio entered Alastor’s den and Tova listened intently to his welcoming words. Her eyes flickered to the smile playing on his maw and her own face reflected the same sunny — if only slightly sheepish — expression. The frizzy-furred wolf dipped her head in greeting, though the gesture also offered as a gracious one, “Thank you, if you couldn’t already guess, we aren’t particularity fond of the chase,” she murmured and her ear subconsciously flicked backwards to check up on Iris. As Kayn stepped up and took Alastor’s attention to question him of Belinda’s whereabouts, she sat down comfortably in the den. The hunter’s eyes searched the den, looking at the walls that surrounded her and everything else that decorated the area until they eventually landed on Iris, “Settle in, there’s a nice soft spot of ground right beside me,” she offered to the starlet with a comforting smile. Tova swept her tail over the patch of ground beside her to rid it of any debris and then curled her tail next to her side. She didn’t mention Iris’ stumble earlier, deciding that mentioning it — especially in front of another wolf — would only bruise her pride and she was working hard to encourage the young female to keep her chin high.

The voice in the den came to a stop and Tova looked up towards Kayn, “I hope you’re able to track down Belinda,” she said. The female turned her gaze away from the white-furred male and let her gentle gaze come to a stop on darker fur. It seemed as if Alastor had been busying his paws with some work before they came. Even though the healer had happily let them join him in his den, she still spoke up to thank him once again, “It’s very kind of you to let us in here, I would hate to interrupt your work though,” she commented with a small glance to the herbs he had laid out before him, “Though, I suppose its good that the den itself is as spacious as it is,” she chuckled quickly before continuing with a more serious tone, “Thank you again.
