Silently, one by one, in the infinite meadows of heaven, // Blossomed the lovely stars, the forget-me-nots of the angels.

Adebowale treaded slowly, making sure to match his stride with whoever was at the back of the group. He usually could conserve his energy over long distances, but with the sun hanging high in the sky and its rays burning deep into his mottled pelt, the temperature itself seemed to be sapping Adebowale's strength. He wasn't looking forward to the battle, either. Why else did he run away from Asya to join Ebele with his sibling? Ah, Kunto. He still could not get over the guilt that weighed on his shoulders over leaving her alone in Ebele, but Ebele was a much safer place than Asya. Also, Ekundayo, Chausiku and Chikondi were the only ones who knew the true reason why he had gone back to Asya. To go undercover and get information.

Adebowale let his expression turn into a determined one. The AWD was the last one others thought would love the bloody art of war and the satisfaction of killing, but he had to make the others trust him so they'd hand him information casually. He continued padding after Zilab's group, although he made sure to stay near the edge of the group.

How is it possible to have a civil war?

Sanaa let out an irritated growl as Asya headed towards the Nkechi camp, kicking dust up from their heels. Ignoring a determined Fred who had ran up to flank her side, she quickened her pace and trotted next to Zilab's group. She didn't get why Imara came to this fight. Surely, the leader would want to protect his unborn progeny? But then again, Ikenna was also tagging along, but she wasn't sure if the beings could be compared. Then again, how far was this stupid camp? Could they just, she didn't know, get there already?

She was dying for some action. Excellent, messy action. Unlike Phesheya, who seemed like she wanted to join Ebele or run slash die with Nkechi with her views on war. She lifted her gaze, squinting to avoid the sun's glare only to see grassland and more grassland. Inwardly groaning, she slowed her stride and lowered her head in an attempt to avoid the sunlight from getting to her eyes.

"Let us hope they see it that way. We do not need anymore enemies. The Monifa would make good allies." Ekundayo responded and, before she could respond to his next question, she heard Mthunzi speak up. She turned her head to gaze over at the Ebele pack member, respectfully listening to him speak. Usually, she let the other members of her pack know her secrets, but there were some things that she kept hidden; such as the spy that was sent to Asya pack to gather information. There were only a selected few of canines who knew this secret. That was the one thing that she could not reveal to the pack. It hurt her to keep secrets from her pack, but it was for their own good. She did not need this secret to be accidentally spilled despite her trust for her pack.

When Mthunzi finished speaking, she gave a soft smile and a shake of her head. She felt happiness bubble in her chest at his words. Her pack truly cared for her, and she did not think she deserved it. However, she did notice the brief pauses in his words. She wondered if he had his own dark past that he kept hidden. "Thank you, Mthunzi, but I need you here if Asya pack decides to attack while I'm gone. It will only be Kunto and I who will speak to the Monifa pack." She spoke, casting a glance to her adviser to show that she had answered his question. She did not want to bring too many members because it would put the pack at a disadvantage. "Even though you will not be with me, you are doing something for me by protecting this pack. I hope you understand my decision."

Ikenna swished his tail behind him, keeping pace with his teacher. Hearing her comment about the walk, he could not help but give a quiet whine of agreement. "General Sanaa and her group get all the action first while we have to walk." He added, a sigh escaping his maw. It was clear that he did not have much patience for the waiting game. He wanted to rush in and take on the pack, but he knew better than that. He could not allow his lust for blood to overwhelm him. The future leader of the Asya pack needed to learn from his father and plan out attacks before rushing in to kill. He could make well-thought-out plans to kill rivals which did not seem fun at this moment. However, he figured that he would grow to love them like his father seemed to. He always had amazing plans.
