Location: Pack Center| Tag: OpenThe scout had walked out of the pack's center and has been out most the morning. He had gone on a small hunt so he could at least bring something back for the pack. So the male had caught a hare since it was out getting some of the water that was close by to it. The male wolf flicked his ear back as he was looking around a little bit. His ear perked up as he saw his alpha talking to a few wolves in the pack. He soon went to walk over to them before he places the hare in front of them. He soon walked away as he mutter. "Here you go. I am sorry it isn't enough for the whole pack but its what I saw out there." He soon kept walking away from them before he went to sit under a tree. The grass under the tree was not as wet as the rest of the grass around him. He soon lowers his head a bit as he was a little bit tired after the hunt plus he was also awake before the sun was up.

The brute nodded his head repeatedly, agreeing with the female’s opinion. He listened to what
she had to say, glad that they shared same thoughts and worries „That’s what I’m going to do,”
he replied when she mentioned asking the alpha „But I wanted to know what you think about
it first. Going farther than usual in search of prey is dangerous,” he added, looking to the side
into the denser forest. Then, his sight shifted to Senka again „I’m going to the alpha now,
would you like to accompany me?” The male offered, tilting his head slightly to the side in a
questioning manner.

Nita rolled on her other side lazily, her eyes shut. She didn't bother to get up too early this
morning. What was the point anyways? The female was an omega, so she had no duties at all.
The female inhaled the cold air through her nose and slowly opened her grayish eyes, staring
at the trees before her. He's dreamt of being free and independent since she was a pup. But
when she finally decided to leave the pack, she found out how harsh life could be there. She
left in autumn and it wasn't this bad in the beginning. She knew how to hunt, so she ate small
prey like squirrels, rabbits or birds. But as winter approached and there wasn't as much food,
Nita was hungry most of the time. Cold and the lack of safe and warm place where she could
spend nights made her realize how hard is a loner's life.
Because of all the reasons, she made the hard decision to return to her pack. She was lucky
they let her join, even though positioned her as an omega in hierarchy. Nita didn't feel good
as a loner, and also as an omega. But one thing she knew for sure - as a loner , she wouldn't
have survived to spring.

Tempest raised her ears in shock at the sound of a new wold approaching, but greated the new brute with a nod as he placed the fish. "Thank you, Trenzor. Any contribution is better than none," She added before turning back to Orabelle, "I will be going to call the pack on a hunt now, but I thank you for your concern. And as for you," Tempest turned to Mhairi, "you should know better than to lurk in the shadows." She flicked her tail as she picked the fish up into her jaws and padded off into the forest, stopping as she hit the clearing grounds. She looked at the prey pile and sighed, it was worse than she had thought. In the new season there was little relief from the cold, and she hoped the early morning hunt would allow a jump-start on what was left in the surrounding forests.She placed the newly hunted fish in the stack before moving across the hard packed ground towards the steep slope which protected them partially from the harsh winds. As she jumped onto a raised rock platform in the hill, the alpha raised her snout to the sky and let out a soft howl, low enough for the pack to hear but quiet enough to not awake any sleeping creatures, as the last thing they needed was to lose their only high ground. As the wolves gathered around her, she nodded to each before bowing her head to the pack and waiting for the response before beginning her commentary. "Pack, I have heard the whispers, the chit-chat. I know you are hungry. In the last two days we have had little game, so I wish to offer a relief. Today, and today ONLY, I would like the hunters to move out of our territory on your hunt. I also open the expedition to any non-hunters, in good health, to join them. There will be no arguments." Tempest nodded to the lead hunter, Raoul, with no room for complaint or comments. "Omegas, if you so wish to go, know that you will be over watched, and reported on. But this may be your chance to prove your worth. Pack, there will be no disrespect on this hunt, no fights, and no foolishness. If I get word of ANY issues, there will be consequences." The alpha stood and shook out her fur before letting out a soft howl, a small symbol of the packs closeness. "You are expected to return no later than dusk. Safe hunt pack. The rest of you may do with your day as you wish." She finished and sat back on the rock, watching the hunters and volunteers enter the forest and begin the hunt. }

Foalan let out a small chuckle. The pack had began to get worried about the weather, and often the sense of dread seemed imminent. He knew many wolves were wondering what they could do in the upcoming weeks, but truthfully there was nothing they could. Could they tell the goddess of snow to find another forest? Could they give birth to rabbits and elk for them to hunt? Foalan wasn't the optimist in the pack, and over the year since the pack's creation he had only gotten more and more depleted of will. The brute shook out his fur and wiped his paws against the small rock pebbles of the bank before speaking. "There is little we can do to prepare. At this time of winter there are few threats of intruders, so if you would like to i will grant you permission to go hunting later when my sister gives word." }
At Tempest's call her nodded towards Ekatiz to follow as he padded towards the clearing, and sat among his pack. At the end of her dialogue, he let out a soft howl in response to his sister's before nodding toward Ekaitz, "you are free to join them as you wish." He watched as his pack entered the forest before turning to his sister and chuckling, "you sound like mother," Foalan stated before turning back towards the pack, flanking behind to ensure safe travels.

TAGGED: VALOR
indentationAidan dug his claws into the snow, feeling it crunch, then swung his head back and forth slowly to soak in the scents. There were plenty of smells in the camp, whether it was rabbit from yesterday's hunt or caribou that wandered close to their borders or simply any bird or creature present. The sharp, frigid winter air whistled down his throat and Aidan couldn't help but suppress a shiver.
Then a familiar, warmer scent drifted past and he turned to see Valor, another fellow scout, striding towards him. Curiously, he wondered why she looked so troubled. Aidan bumped his muzzle into her neck affectionately. She was probably worried about the low prey count, as they all were, this season. "Good morning, Valor," he greeted back softly, his voice slightly husky. "Of course. I was thinking of going scouting myself." Perking his ears up, he threw the lithe female an almost playful look. "Anywhere in particular? Or just a general walk around the borders?" he asked. She had frst extended the invitation, so he would rather give her the initiative.
All of a sudden, a howl reverberated through the air. The tall, multicoloured wolf turned on his heels just as Alpha Tempest began to address the pack. As she spoke about a large-scale hunt, his head whipped back towards Valor, eyes gleaming with a renewed fervour. "What do you say about joining the hunt, Valor? I know you're hungry too, and after that we can resume or scouting," he suggested.

indentationOrabelle seemed to be trying to hint at something to Tempest. Mhairi frowned a little, slowly straightening her slightly sore limbs and rising from her sleeping spot. She had also recently noticed how the Alpha almost seemed to be limping, but she had never prodded her about it, knowing she had to give Tempest face. It was good that Orabelle, a certified caretaker, was onto the situation however. With wolves with high, dominant positions in the pack came challengers, even more so when they had injuries of some sort. Tempest needed her full strength this harsh winter.
The Alpha's words swiftly jolted Mhairi's back to reality, and her first instinct was to bare her teeth. Yet deciding that Tempest probably hasn't meant any insult with her words, the marble-pelted female sighed. "Good morning, Tempest, Orabelle. No, Alpha, I wasn't trying to lurk. Merely give the two of you space to talk," she explained, her vocal cords feeling stiff simply from articulating these few words. Mhairi shook herself with frustration, sending ice crystals flying. The cold was getting to her more than she would have liked.
At the Alpha's words, Mhairi relaxed just the slightest, envisioning a large, adrenaline-pumping hunt to keep the blood coursing through their veins. Not to mention, the pack was in an almost desperate need for more food. Already Mhairi was thinner than she should be. Suddenly, her senses were all on edge, the hairs at the back of her neck rising as the thrill of a hunt sent a bolt of electricity through her. Who was to be leading it? Especially since they would be venturing beyond their own territory, having a leader and coordinater was paramount. Mhairi knew she would probably be among the wolves at the frontlines, but she wanted to know who would be in charge. Having an experienced wolf in this role could alter the entire course and consequence of their hunt.

agape caretaker || tags:; no one in particualr
Amber gold eyes casually blinked awake, looking over the large brute saw a form lumped up next to him, the two had huddled in the night to keep warm against the nights that continued to grow colder. Wynter was an older wolf, a huntress who had a rather dark side he wished to not tempt. Yet she was also oddly mysterious with her actions. Odd smirks, vague wording, picurious body language. He had a hard time reading her. Although he shuffled about the morning air, the only notice he had of her stirring to his movement was a twitch of her ears.
Agape stretched his body out, his paws riffling the dirt beneath them, then his torso shaking out a bit of the morning drizzle. Winter had begun. The pack didn’t seem in good shape for the start of the season. A hunt was in dire need. A good hunt at that. Tempest wasn’t in much shape to hunt either. She already was one of the smaller females of the pack; however, that didn’t do much in demeaning her rank. For what she lacked in size she made up for in other areas. Agape being one of the largest brutes, wouldn’t choose to throw down with her unless he saw completely fit. In fact, I’m almost did throw down with the alpha not long ago. The burley white brute was one of two wolves in the pack who she told what was wrong with her foot. He seldom pressed her on the matter, he had examined it also, there was nothing to be done. It was a birth defect. The fact her mother didn’t leave her to the birds was miracle enough. Not even that, she hid it well. Despite it she did everything else a fully healthy wolf would do. The caretaker never thought it worth bringing to the attention of the pack so she wouldn’t have to fight for her rank.
As the alpha spoke of the hunt, he grunted, thinking of if he would go or not. He kept his distance from her, fearing if she saw and tried to speak to him, she probably wouldn’t, he wouldn’t be able to contain his anger towards her from months past. There was still strong tension between the two

Tempest growled at her brother as he passed, you sound like mom he teased towards her. That couldn’t be a bad thing…right. Her mom was kind, she could have left her to the wilderness but instead raised her until she was old enough to fend for herself. Sometimes she wished that she had left her brother behind as it would’ve caused her less irritation. As the space infront of her cleared she locked eyes with a particularly large…caring…no..not caring. He was a brute. Well, of course he was a male, but he was also harsh and cold and hard. This silence had gone on long enough, HE was in HER pack. SHE was alpha. HE would respect her, and act like part of the pack, or not be in it all. Tempest jumped down from the rock, leaning more into her hips as she landed to keep her front paws from the harsh jolt of landing, and slowly walked towards Agape. When she reached the halfway point, she sat down and locked eyes again. She wasn’t going to do all the work here. He had legs. He could come to her. “Agape.” She said, her tone harsh and cold, “I need not remind you I AM the alpha of this pack. And your attitude is not welcome here.” She spoke calmy, but every bone inside of her body wanted to bark and lunge, but no. They both knew too much about eachother. It was a standstill that needed to be broken. "And I know you dont want to be on your own....again."}

The brute flicked his ear to the side as he saw his alpha speaking. The male tilted his head as he soon pushed himself to his paws. He flicked his tail to the side before he barked. "I am in. I am sure as a pack or small groups we can find a few large pieces of prey or a lot of smaller ones." He barked as he was trying to back up his leader before he walked over towards her. He looked at his leader before he went to howl alongside her. After he finished he flicked his tail and looked over at Tempest. "If you wouldn't mind I would like to guide a small group across our homeland to find prey if that is alright with you Tempest. I have found a few areas where it seems like large prey would be close to the area." He soon flicked his tail again. "But I never actually went to make sure it was true." He looked over at his pack members as he normally don't speak much to the pack since he felt a little bit awkward as he had a weird personality most pups didn't like so he stop showing his personality.

Timber chuckled at Jax's sarcastic comment and said nothing else relative to the topic until the older spoke again. "Well as Beta i can't risk be grumpy just yet. I'm still proving myself and I'm sure the last thing this pack wants us a grumpy leader." He sighed softly when he was done speaking. "Must be one good thing about being an omega. You can be as irritable as you want, it's not Tempest will exile you for being snappy." Timber pointed out as he looked around the camp at the surrounding pack members with a small sense of pride, if everything turned out right, these would be his wolves, his pack, but for now he listened to Tempest and he liked and respected her enough to not challenge her.
He then heard a loud piercing howl from none other than the alpha herself. When he heard about a group hunt he instantly looked over to Jax once more with a serious expression. "This could be your chance. I know you plenty capable of anything you want to do and I also know your smart enough to go. " He told the older wolf, urging him to come along.

Valor was relieved when Aidan responded with acceptance to her offer to scout the borders. She hadn't really thought about where they should patrol, she just wanted to get out of the camp for a while. She has never liked staying in camp for to long. "The eastern bor-" she started to speak when she was interrupted by a familiar howl. She then her head to face the alpha, curious to what Tempest has to say to the pack.
She had only hunted a few times before she realized she was meant to be a scout more than a hunter but she still love the feeling of excitement she got when chasing prey. "Hunting sounds like a blast." She responded to Aidan as she turned her attention back to the slightly larger wolf. " And that got to be the first correct thing I've ever heard you say pinecone. " Valor told him with a flat tone and a dramatic eye role but then grinned able to keep a straight face for longer than a few second.

indentationScoffing a little at Valor's mock insults, Aidan purposefully flicked his tail so it swiped across her muzzle. If he were a pup, that sentence would have made him pounce upon her and immediately engage in play-fighting. But he was an adult now, and a scout to boot, with a reputation to uphold within the pack. So he merely returned the jab with one of his own, "Funny you should mention that, Valor. I haven't heard you say anything correct ever." He chuffed to let Valor know he wasn't being serious. Soon, however, his attention was quickly diverted to the Lead Hunter, Raoul. He would be potentially leading the pack hunt and it was substantial to see what he had to say first.
Aidan's gaze momentarily wandered about the camp till it landed on Mhairi. She appeared to be near Orabelle and Tempest, her body seemingly tense and rigid. Aidan knew the mention of a pack hunt had seized her interest and she would be looking forward to pushing herself, as usual. Since puphood she had always been competitive and this instinct become even more potent once she had earned the rank of Delta. Aidan just hoped she knew where her own physical boundaries were. Eyeing Valor at the corner of his eye, the tall scout gestured with a press of his ears and a flick of his muzzle that the pair should join the Lead Hunter, and waited for Valor to follow him. Though he was indeed more adept in the combat department, Aidan didn't mind hunting to feed the pack that winter. Everyone needed to pull their weight.
██│( MHAIRI )│██
TAGGED: TEMPEST, ORABELLE, PACK
indentationMhairi's golden-amber eyes seem to flash in well-disguised excitement as she stretched out her legs, her lower appendage descending and the tip of her tail curling forward to brush the small of her back. A hunt meant a good run, and since it had been a long while since the pack had last hunted together, their spirit had grown stale. This was the perfect opportunity to hone their chemistry as well as bring game to fill their empty stomachs.
The wolves would have to track their prey first, hence Mhairi's interest was piqued when she heard Treznor report of a large hunting site to Tempest. Caribou or elk was the most desired prey and would satisfy multiple wolves at a go, but Mhairi knew to take them down wasn't easy at all. In fact, this was where the faster females came in. After picking out the weakest of the herd, they would have to attempt to herd the poor animal and finally, the males would use their strength to deliver the killing blow. Chasing down prey could take them miles, but she was willing to do whatever it took to ensure they didn't go hungry for the third day in a row.
The Delta angled her head so she faced Orabelle and shifted closer to the caretaker. "Do you intend to go, Orabelle?" she asked quietly. Orabelle might have no interest in hunting, but Mhairi was certain her skills would come in useful if they needed medical attention on site.
A commotion a few places away nearly made Mhairi jump and she glanced towards its source in half surprise, half irritation. The latter soon faded quickly, however. Tempest had assumed the dominant positions towards Agape and seemed to be growling at him. Anger rolled off the small female in waves, and it was evident in her eyes and stance that she was reprimanding the male. While disciplining packmates wasn't uncommon at all, this particular scene struck a chord in Mhairi's mind and she narrowed her eyes, deciding not to interfere for now.
