xxx"Atta pup!" Abeni barked and laughed a bit. She really hoped that Ikenna did good in this battle, their training hadn't lasted that long yet but she believed that the young dog could remember their training. If not, she really did fear what Zilab would do to her if he was seriously injured or worse. It could even be as bad as Masozi. But that really didn't stop her from having fun with Ikenna, they were alike in mischievous ways, and she herself was still pretty young too. Although she could be reckless and that wasn't a trait that she'd like Ikenna to learn.
xxxAbeni's ears perked and her paws slowed to a trot when Phesheya hurried past to speak to Zilab. Her ears then went back. The treason she spoke! Why shouldn't they kill their enemies? All land should belong to the Asya pack, wasn't that why they were here? Abeni gave Ikenna a nudge against his shoulder with her head then whispered to him, "looks like we got an Ebele member in our ranks, huh?" At first, her words seemed to be serious as she growled softly when she spoke and was whispering into his ear, then it showed to be more of a joke since she gave a soft laugh after a moment's pause and went back to standing tall.

xxx Chausiku followed Ekundayo's gaze to where the Nkechi survivors were running towards their territory. The poor creatures were probably very injured. To calm his leader's nerves, Chausiku gave Ekundayo a soft, reassuring smile. He knew her kindness and mercy would no doubt help them and he had confidence that the dogs would be grateful and would become their allies. As she sat, he did as well, across from her with his tail laying neatly on one of his front paws.
xxxChausiku stayed in a respectful quiet as Ekundayo spoke. Though he did nod in awareness of the pack and his ears twitched to signal that he was paying attention. Once she asked his suggestions, he took a moment to think, "Well, we definitely shouldn't ignore the Monifa's advances but we do need allies, those Asyas will cause the death of us all if they're not stopped," he seemed to be talking to himself at first, as he was looking down then suddenly, like he made up his mind, looked back up to her, "I believe that whichever of us goes to speak to them should bring along Kunto or Faraja, to show we mean no harm and are there in peace. However, an extra dog should be brought in case they mean us harm."

Runihura

Runihura's jaw clenched as Phesheya had raised her voice. He got heated as he thought about fighting the female right then and there. He didnt like the attitude which can easily cross the line when talking to Runi. Runihura exhaled deeply through his dark brown nose. He walked infront of Phesheya and topped her in her tracks looking slightly down at her. "Watch your mouth, cry baby. You don't want to have an attitude with me. Cause I'll make sure you regret it." His cold-hearted eyes stared deeply into hers as if he was staring into her soul. He really didnt quite view her as a cry baby to be honest. Phesheya may be just a regular member to the pack, but she had her flaws, as did Runihura. Its just the simple fact that she gives th other AWDs a reason to call her insulting names such as cry baby and weakling. Runihura was sure she had potential in some way, but as of now it wasnt showing. Runihura didnt want to keep discussing Phesheya's issues so he hoped that she wouldnt say another word or talk back to him with and attitude. "Dont even think about saying anything else." He broke his intense stare, not caring if he scared the female AWD or not. Runihura turned back around and continued to follow Sanaa's lead.

Hatshepsut

A ray of sunlight made its easy into Hatshepsut's den, waking her up from her sleep. She stretched her hind legs and other body parts before walking outside to the slightly chilled air. It was pretty quiet out as she walked around. Zilaba had came to her and told her to stay put while he and a few others went to go see what Oringo, Runihura, and Chinelo had caught. She was pretty much left behind at camp grounds to keep Kubuhlungu and her pups company while the others were gone. She didnt know what was going on but she kept her nose out of it. Shep didn't mind being around Kubu and her pups. She's glad to help around and keep some stress of the new mother. The morning sun felt pretty warm on her fur as she went to look for food. She found a young fox aimlessly walking around without any other fox friends. Skillfully Hatshepsut plotted an attack and killed the fox planning to share it with Kubu and her pups. It wasn't the usual pretty of AWDs, but it was the first thing she saw. Shep walked back to the camp and made her way to Kubuhlunga's den. When she arrived, She placed the fox down and licked the blood off her lips. "Kubu darling! How are you and your lovely pups. She greeted with a nose touch returned to Kubu's shoulder. Shep's tail swished gracefully side to side. A smile formed upon her face. She sat down on a small, nearby rock.

Ojiambo

Ojiambo was told to stay a few yards from the Nkechi territory and await for his packmates to need his assistance. He had already ate two baby boars at dusk, when he woke up. The baby boars always give Ojiambo his energy for the day and today he'll be have more than enough energy to perform duties. "Chinelo let's go!" He called to the female. Chinelo volunteered to assist Bo and gaurd him of his surroundings and anything that could be plotting on him. Ojiambo took his own shortcut to the Nkechi territory, wanting Chinelo to follow behind. As of now, Bo is calm and expects Chinelo to follow all his rections. She was just two tails length behind him. Ojiambo patiently walked calculating an average of how many of his packmembers would be injured duing this brawl. Ojiambo actually knew his way around all thw territories. He knew which plants and herbs where populated in a certain area and knew exactly what they to the body. Some give rashes and inflammation while othrs soothe and relieve pain. His mother taught him the different types when he was younger. A faint sigh eased its way out of Bo's black nostril, remembering the special rimes he had with his mother.

Phesheya shot a glare at the male, but said nothing more but a simple "males!" and rolled her eyes, muttering underneath her breath. She cared not at all about insults thrown at her. Call her what they wanted; she wasn't a crybaby or a weakling. She was reasonable, and that was that. She knew this bloodshed was pointless, as was the blood of her family that had been shed. It hadn't been long since the death of her family, and she was still quite touchy with the subject. The fact that Runihura seemed not to care about it hurt. Made her question staying. Her eyes still dark, she lowered her head and fell behind, letting herself remain at the back of the group. Quietly, as she paced farther behind the group, she looked up at the sky. Heart wrenching, she sighed, panting as the sun beat down on her. She was tired of all of this pointless bloodshed. But she had chosen the Asya pack to learn how she could've kept her family safe, and keeping her family safe was something she had already failed to do. But she wouldn't fail to protect her pack and the AWDs inside of it. She would not let it happen. Not now, not ever. She glanced forward at Runihura and sighed, only saying "sorry for raising my voice," before she clenched her jaw and followed behind.

a light smile came upon kubu's face to see shep in such a cheerful mood, "thankfully they are asleep," though a small yip made her think otherwise, "well i hope they still are." with a soft chuckle she dipped her head into her den, happy to see that it was only a yip caused by a dream before returning to the enterance and shep. "i'm pretty good just tired and a bit uneasy with whatever my brother has planned to do," she said even though their was nothing she could do to undo what he was going to do. she just hoped no body came back injured or not at all, shaking her head to think of the horrid images of her family all broken and hurt before sniffing at the fox shep had put before her. free meat was much better then the dried out piece from yesterday's hunt. glancing up to her, kubu saw she brought the fox for her and she was actually quite grateful. birthing had taken everything out of her that she has had barely any strength to try and catch something fresh. she pulled off a peice of the fox and began to pull the fur off of the dead thing. "do you know what my brother had planned for this afternoon?" she asked curiously because kubu could really only speculate. her brother knew that she wasn't a big fan or war and usually kept her out of that knowledge to not trouble her, but that didn't make her feel that much better.

What made me tough
Almost killed me

----------------------------

There was a subtle ache in his legs remaining from when he had sprinted back to fetch the back and tell them of his discovery. A pretty little thing she was, how unfortunate for her to come across his pack, unfortunate for her indeed. Her fate was already sealed, he knew it even before his leader approached her. As the pack gathered, silent, waiting, he took up a position next to Chinelo. From the very beginning he had singled her out, formed his own bond with her. Not of love, but of protection, like a little sister. Why? He could not say, perhaps because he did not remember the faces or names of his own siblings. Not worth it, they were no worth his time, his care. Pathetic creatures, his family was gone, good riddance. Now he had this pack, and he proudly served loyal doing what the leader asked him without question. Blood. It was all part of life, the act of killing had become an everyday part of his life and he relished it. Tasty! Oh so tasty, yes. Now outwardly he appeared just as normal as anybody else, but oh the delicious thoughts he had on the inside. One day they would make their way to the surface, but now was not the time or place. No. Not yet.

The questioning of Zilab seemed to go on forever, the female willingly answering his questions. Fred watched the blood flow from her ear, dripping onto her face and onto the ground. He could smell it, taste it, feel it in his claws, his teeth.
Let me taste it. Pretty pretty pretty please. I want it so bad. Oh no no, that wouldn't do, too many eyes, and she was still alive. He had to admit it was a thrilling thought to just walk up to her now and lick the blood away from her face, but no he remained put, waiting waiting waiting, always waiting. For what? More. More of everything that he had come to love. More death, more killing. More! Oh the glory of battle yes! He wanted it, now now now. He could already feel the surge, the need to run into the fray. His ear twitched and his head lifted when Zilab seemed to finish his questioning. How cute, the female thought she could be free? Pretty pretty face, ugly traitorous inside, stupid confused brain. A fatal combination. He watched on in amusement as Chinelo caught the signal and worked her magic sending the female off balance and then there was Zilab, shaking her by the throat. Blood spatter in a glorious arc and some fateful droplets landed upon his muzzle, he licked them up before anybody could notice and as her life was taken from her he felt some of her energy seep into him.

He took a deep breath as if trying to calm himself after such an incident, but really he was taking in the scent of the fresh kill, letting it fuel him for the up coming battle. Zilab laid out the plans and Fred listened intently carefully plotting out the battle as Zilab addressed the pack. He heard Chinelo speak next to him and his eyes slowly grazed over her, so she was to guard Ojiambo? Respectable enough, he had no doubt that she would succeed in her given task. He gave her a gentle nudge on her shoulder for good luck before his attention was caught when his name was mentioned. Ah, so he was to be in Sanaa's group? Large ears flickered in a silent agreement that he was fine with this, not that Zilab would pay him any attention or care if Fred didn't like that plan. IT was mostly for his own sake, making sure he took in all the details and fully prepared himself for the fight to come. When Zilab directly approached him Fred remained attentive, fully focused and he took a step forward to show the leader that he had Fred's full attention. His job was simple enough. Check up on the groups to keep everyone updated on what was happening and make sure the pack stayed as in tact as possible. He simply nodded in response to Zilab as the leader walked away to speak with some other pack members.

Slowly a wicked smile spread across his muzzle. Who was to stop him if he took part in the battle between all his running around? Surely he couldn't be punished for taking out one or two...Or ten of the enemies. It took all his control to not cackle as he stepped forwards and pressed his paw into the sticky blood of the female that had been snared by Aysa pack. Her pack was next. What an unlucky bunch, truly. He lifted his paw making sure he was satisfied with the amount of blood coating it. A symbol. When he struck down an enemy they would smell her blood and know that they had been betrayed, they would smell her blood and know her fate, they would smell her blood and all hope they have would be taken from them as the light left their eyes. None would survive. He turned away from the body and stalked towards Sanaa eager to be on his way, but she was the leader of the group so he had to follow, and he would without protest. He was no leader and he had no desire for power, but if he disagreed with a rule then he was no stranger to making his own rules to get what he wanted. Punishment didn't frighten him, nothing really frightened him. Fred looked to Sanaa giving her a nod to signal that he was ready to follow her lead. The small bout of bickering between the other two hardly phased him, many dogs in this pack had attitude problems, such conflicts were to be expected.

He didn't even glance in their direction as he followed after Sanaa his legs trained to run without stopping, he had no issues keeping up with her.
Fight fight fight! Win win win! We will conquer! The chant rang through his head so powerfully it was hard to tell that he wasn't saying it out loud. His blood pumped through him slowly drowning out the chant with a roaring in his ears that begged him to move faster, get to the battle and start ripping into the enemy. So faster he went, flanking Sanaa on her right, appearing determined, steady, but he was nothing of the sort. Internally it was a struggle, always a struggle to keep up the calm facade, the sane masquerade. Oh it would be a relief when he could shut all his walls down and show his true colors, but not yet. Though his control was slowly deteriorating he had to keep it for just a little while longer, just until the fighting started then he could let out the crazy for a little while before caging it again. It had been a while and he was excited. Death brought him to life.

Her herbs all seemed to be in order. Being a peaceful pack they didn't seem ti have much use for herbs that would help with injuries so she had a pretty good stock stored up. It had been since the treachery of the Aysa wolves since she last saw battle. Her sight in her left eye had been taken from her that day and she had a scar crossing over her eye as proof of the fight. She sighed softly to herself, that day was not one that she liked to remember. It made her flinch, and it made her sad. She missed the days of unity, but now Zilab led his pack down the course of destruction, he was a tyrant if she had ever seen one. Perhaps it was better that the packs were separate, this pack was filled with more peaceful dogs, and she felt safe here. She wouldn't be able to feel such security if she were in Aysa or if the packs were still united she felt. Her ears fell back for a moment before she heard Ekun calling for the pack. Slowly she rose and strode towards the leader with a curious look in her eye. She tried to keep everybody on her right so she could see, she didn't like being surprised.

A frown creased her maw at the news of Aysa attacking the Nkechi pack. Of course they would, they only cared for power. No life was sacred to them. Faraja lifted her head at Ekun's words. So Ebele was going to aide their neighbors by providing a place to rest and heal for those who managed to escape? What if none escaped? The thought caused her to shiver, but she would make sure to prepare her stock and have everything ready for any Nkechi members that managed to find their way here. Her lungs expanded with a deep calming breath and she stood when Ekun seemed to be finished. The leader was right, Aysa pack didn't deserve mercy, but Faraja really wasn't the violent type. She could only hope that justice would come to those who deserve it. She snorted softly to herself, perhaps that was too much to ask for. She couldn't tell anymore. Silently she tended to the hers double checking and triple checking to make sure they had everything they would need to help the injured Nkechi dogs.

Runihura

Runihura heard Phesheya mumble under her breath. He ignored it though as he didn't care enough to say something. He started to think about the battle. The sun was now high in the air, indicating that mid-day was present. The glare from the sun was in the same direction they were going. So,Runihura had to squint his eyes most of the time as the gleaming sunlight shined in his round face. He pondered about how the day would go and when the voice of Phesheya made interupted his thoughts he simply said "Huh? Oh... its cool"

Hatshepsut

Shep smiled. "Well, they'll be out of your fur before you know it." she joked. She leaves her head down to tear off one of the fox's hind legs. The hind legs were always get favorite part of any animal since she was a pup. They weren't too meaty and they weren't too boney. To Hatshepsut, the hind legs were just right. "All I was told was that Runihura, Fred, and Phesheya found a traitor amongst our lands." Shep began. Before she could talk again, she finished the meat from the hind leg and licked her lips from the blood that remained in her food. "But you know how your brother is. Always up for a brawl. He maybe mentally insane sometimes, but he's reasonable."

Imara, out of earshot of Phesheya, took no notice of her comments. Right now she was focusing on staying at the same pace as Zilab, her pregnancy slowing her down, much to her displeasure. Imara hated being pregnant, but the fact that the pups inside were she and Zilab's heirs made her proud, and fueled her to keep going. She was a little worried about the battle - one slash to the stomach and the lives inside of her could perish. Gritting her teeth, she caught up with Zilab, and whispered to him; "I enjoy the thrill of the fight, but I'm worried about our children." Her face was concerned, because these weren't just her pups, they were Zilab's too. Her stomach was noticeably larger than it had been several weeks ago, and it was predicted that there were three weeks until she gave birth.

Seeing his soft, reassuring smile, Ekundayo could not help but return the same gesture. Chausiku had always been one of her close friends, even before the formation of Ebele pack. It had not a tough decision to decide who would become her adviser. He was always there for her, and now she had to be strong for him and the rest of the pack. When Chausiku spoke up, she listened to his suggestions and nodded in agreement with him. "I agree. I'll ask Kunto to join me. As much as I trust you to speak on my behalf, the Monifa pack is a proud bunch. They would think we were disrespectful if I sent someone in my place. You will lead in my absence and, if anything were to happen to me, you will lead this pack and teach my daughter to become the leader for when she becomes old enough to become leader. I would bring Faraja, but I would like for my leads to be here in case we are attacked by anyone in the area." She spoke, giving a firm nod of her head. She did not like to think of what would happen if she were to be attacked and killed by the Monifa pack, but she wanted Chausiku to be able to lead and teach her daughter if anything were to befallen her.

Hearing Abeni's words when referring to Phesheya, a grin appeared on Ikenna's maw and his tail wagged in amusement. "That's what I was thinking. Maybe she should just flee with the Nkechi pack." He responded in a low voice, a snicker escaping him. He did not expect the Nkechi pack to put up much of a fight. Their leaders were elderly dogs, so it would be easier for them to defeat them. However, even though he liked doing this and being in Asya pack with his father, he did miss his mother. His father's new mate would never replace his mother. He was still somewhat upset that his father had moved on so quickly as soon as his mother fled with some of the other pack members. Why did they not agree with each other? He did not understand how two opposites came together, fell in love, and had pups. Right now, his father seemed much happier with his new mate, since she shared similar views. It annoyed him, but he tried his best to ignore it. He could not allow such a small things to bother him. He needed to be strong to be the prince of this pack.

xxxAbeni rolled her eyes and mumbled, "if we were only so lucky." She continued on in a slow trot, silent, excited, ready for this fight to happen. Everything in her was ready. Just time to sink her teeth into another dog's mottled fur. This travel towards the pack's camp seemed to take forever and it took everything in her to run ahead. She would too, if not for the fact that she already forgot where Masozi said it was. "This walk is taking too long," she outwardly voiced her boredom now, her voice low.

"The Monifa are prideful, but not stupid, if they reject your peace now then they will regret it when Asya overtakes us all," he continued after a brief pause, "are you thinking of taking anyone else?"

He knew that one day they would find what his original purpose had been. But he hoped that when he explained to them that he had to get away, that they would understand. They would, wouldn't they? His gaze traveled back over to Ekundayo, glancing at her hopefully as if wishing himself to go. He wanted to spend more time with Ekundayo and get to know her, especially after what had happened between her and Zilabamuzale. He knew that those things were harsh and difficult on a canine, and he was worried that she always thought about that situation. Mthunzi wanted to be there to support her and lift her up when she was falling; to be a shoulder she could lean on. But where he stood now, he was nothing but another member, probably. At least, that's how it had been for him in the Asya pack. He had earned trust by killing others, and that had traumatized him. When the female brought up the fact that she could die, it made his heard pulse with anticipation. That couldn't happen. He wouldn't let it. If he wasn't going to be told to come, he'd sneak and follow. If he saw that she was in trouble, he'd help. But he wouldn't interfere. Should he do that?

Mthunzi glanced away, realizing he had been staring the whole time. He glanced at the ground, conveying his feelings to himself and imagining them as though they flew around him in the constant, ebbing, hot zephyr that disrupted the smoothness of his multicolored fur. He shifted a leg and picked it up, setting it back down to occupy himself. He shook himself clear of dust, his ears throbbing against the zephyr as he turned to secretly glance at Ekundayo, a scowl on his face. Finally, he turned, watching her. "if they start any trouble, i can help. i was..," he clenched his jaw, about to say that he had been in the asya pack, and then remembered what his purpose had been. "...i know how to fight pretty well. my parents taught me before i joined the ebele pack a while ago," he finished. He brushed his paws against the ground, searching for words. "of course, i hope that it doesn't come to that. i know that reason is our first rationale in any situation, but if push comes to shove, i will be there for.." he stumbled for words, about to say 'for you, ekundayo' but stopped himself. "for the ebele pack and its' future."

phesheya glanced at him and sighed, picking up her pace from the far back of the group. she picked up speed and finally made it to runihura's side, her gaze narrowed to avoid the dust that ascended into the air with the kick of the asya pack's paws. she bit her tongue and then coughed, sneezing; avoiding the dust from her face at all costs. it became a waiting game for her. a waiting game to kill. as she walked, she let her anger build up about the past few months. her family dying, being made fun of, the AWDs in the pack who just did not understand her. it made her furious. she felt her nose twitch and her lips peel back, her tongue curling over her front teeth as she made visible her off-white, yet oddly sharp teeth. her muscles tensed, she felt as if she were charging towards the dogs who had killed her family. she would kill them, she would kill them. she would maul them. slaughter them. anything to keep her family safe. she did not realize that she was growling to herself, her eyes showing all of her anger and emotion built up. these emotions weren't just anger; but agony, sadness, annoyance, and the knowingness that she would never be good enough for the asya canines. she lowered her head, laying low.

still on the defense, nostrils flaring, she didn't even glance at runihura as she thought. "so... do you have any family?" she asked runihura, adrenaline running throughout her body. she felt like she could run for miles upon miles over savannah and desert; anywhere to get away from the burden of death and mauling other AWDs that were innocent. she wanted to distract herself from her own problems, so what better to do than to ask another AWD in her pack about their family? after all, she knew little to nothing about runihura, and it was about time she got to know her packmates better.
