Kesteralpw smiled and breathed a bit heavily. "I am! It's my first Gathering an an appretice, who wouldn't be excited?!" The tabby and white she-cat bounded a head of a few cats. The energy in her paws kept growing.

Firebird turned and met Feathertail's gaze. "Hi." He was relatively handsome, and he was friendly, but did that give him any right to brush against her like that?

Stonepaw watched Aspenstar carefully. She stayed close to Puddleheart, slightly worried about getting lost.

Brackenstorm stretched his tail over his back and followed Aspenstar and the rest of the cats out of the camp. The sun had gently settled itself just above the horizon. They would make it to the gathering place before long. He padded up next to Ivystorm, "I wonder what's happened in the other clans since the last moon." He meowed curiously.

Hawkclaw shook her head and let Kestrelpaw bound forward, no longer trying to follow. She glanced around, unsure what she was looking for. The walk seemed to take forever. She prayed that Aspenstar would speed up sometime soon.

Aspenstar bounded into the clearing, surveying the seven clans that were already there. The familiar masked clan sat in one corner, hostile and withdrawn. Other clans were dispersed through the clearing, and all turned as Flameclan thundered in.

Feathertail waited until Aspenstar turned them loose, then walked up to a group of warriors. A she-cat stood on one side of him, a tom on the other. The she-cat was pretty, but she didn't even compare to Firebird. She purred, then turned to him. "Hello stranger. What clan are you from?" Feathertail met her eyes. "Flameclan." She nodded knowingly. "I'm in Stoneclan. Do you know any of the other clans?" Feathertail glanced around. "No." The she-cat nodded again. "I'm Shellclaw. What's your name?" Feathertail glanced at the sky. "Feathertail." Shellclaw purred. "Ouch. Look at her." Feathertail turned to see Firebird surrounded by the masked warriors, her back to him. "Mousedung. Shellclaw, I need your help." He turned away from her and ran to help Firebird. Shellclaw stayed anxiously at his heels. "Are you sure about this?" He glanced at her as they ran towards the masked warriors, who were now taking Firebird out of the gathering area. Once they left the area, they could kill her! His steps sped up, and Shellclaw grunted slightly but stayed by his side.

Brackenstorm followed Aspenstar and the rest of the chosen cats into the clearing. He stared at the cats in awe. There were so many! He was interested but decided to stay with his clan. He noticed that the cats with masks were huddled together in a corner of the clearing. He snorted. What mouse-brains! Covering their faces with cobwebs. It wasn't like they were going to be killed if the other cats knew who they were.

Hawkclaw breathed a sigh of relief as they entered the clearing. A swift motion caught her eye. She saw Feathertail and a warrior from another clan heading somewhere. She caught a glimpse of Firebird, and a masked warrior. She gasped, and raced over.
"Feathertail, what's going on?" Hawkclaw panted.

If this gets accepted, I would like this cat to be the new deputy.

Shadowbreeze
A fierce warrior, she never would dream of leaving her clan, where she was born. She never wanted anything more than for the clans to be at peace, however, there are still battles. She prays that someday she could become leader, and try to stop the madness. Why can't cats hunt on their own territory and share during leafbare?

Her mother wanted her to become a medicine cat, but urged her on to become a warrior when she saw how well she fought. Her parents gave him her name for the gentle black streaks that whip down her gray and white body. Her rust orange eyes shine with the kindness she is known for.

Feathertail glanced at Hawkclaw, forcing words through his closing throat. "They're taking Firebird out of the gathering area! They can kill her as soon as they're out!" He stumbled, but pulled straight and followed the masked cats.
