She woke up a short time after Dawn, she shook the loose snow from her coat and streached out snapping at the air as she yawned widely. She glanced over towards the lump she already knew was her pup, then trotted over towards the remains of the Mammoth, she ripped a few pieces off and chewed them thoughtfully, letting her nose tell her where everyone was. She realized after a moment or so that both the Alpha and the Keeper were not there. She let out a soft hum and walked through the pack heading back the way they'd come til she could make out the ice bridge a short distance beyond that she could see both wolves. She narrowed her eyes not liking to feel concerned.

"Is everything alright?" She called across watching the two closely judging them for injury if there was any. an injury could and would slow down the whole pack.

Mirage

Mirage was curled up in a ball tightly as he could, his nose shoved under his tail for warmth as he watched the snow blow past himself. He spied the female who had watched over him til here get to her feet and grab a few bites of food, before hurrying back the way they'd come. He let out a soft sigh and thought about getting up and following her but deciding not to. He grumbled to himself and decided to rest a little longer, this journey was going to be hard and long, he was not looking forward to it.

Attican

73 - Brute - Keeper

Attican had been laying down for a decent while now, the sun no longer touching the ground and instead starting to make it's way up into the sky. Resin slept what appeared to be peacefully, her body not giving any hints away that in actuality her mind gave way to terrible dreams and thoughts. He had been eating some snow, both for a drink and to pass the time until the Alphess woke up. Suddenly a voice carried over from the other side of the bridge, the brute spying the fae called Curse on its banks.

He nodded his head in reply, heart lightly warmed that the straggler seemed curious enough to look for them both. He didn't want to speak too much, wanting to let Resin get any last moments of rest that she could. "We are fine, thank you," he tried saying in his 'loudest' muffled tone. "We'll be over shortly.

Just as he craned his head back to the sleeping figure, Resin suddenly woke with a great start, sides heaving for gasps of labored air. Her tongue lolled out and her yellow eyes appeared to almost have fire in them they were so wide and wild looking. "Hey -HEY!" He said, getting up abruptly and standing in front of her, searching for the focus on her eyes. "It's okay, it's fine.. Resin we're safe..." He spoke calmly to try to calm her too, wondering what had made her suddenly react like this. He blinked, puzzlement over his graying features.

"Are you okay my dear?"

Grimshaw
27 year old Male Loner Wolf

Grimshaw had woken up quite early although he was sore all over and had alot of deep injures he seemed quite fine to say the least and was glad of it. Stretching he padded over towards the mammoth and pulled of a huge chunk of meat and a bone before moving far away from the pack to eat his meal in peace after last night Grimshaw was deciding if he should travel alone or stay with the big group eventually after finishing his meal and cleaning himself. Grimshaw decided to stay with the group but keep a bit of distance and only coming closer when they sleep or feeding times ... glad of his new plan Grimshaw moved slightly closer so he could see if the group was moving again or not.

Resin-Alpha Female-30 Summers

The dream had ripped the world right out from under her paws. When she woke, she still hadn't found her footing. The white landscaped was tinged with tendrils of fire. Would she choose the right path? Would she choose the right path?!

A voice drifted through her mind and she believed that the ancestors were trying to tell her more. She tried to make it out, straining her auds to their limit. "es...esin...Resin." Why were they trying to tell her her own name? Looking to the side, she noticed Attican for the first time. "Hey, it's ok. Resin, we're safe." It had been him. Not the ancestors at all. A part of her was disappointed, but the bigger part was relieved.

She rose and shook the buildup of snow from her black and grey coat. "I'm fine." She reassured the big male, but she couldn't quite look him in the eye yet. Seeing Curse on the other side of the chasm, she called out to her. "Has there been any trouble? Is everything alright?"

"Let's get across, Attican. We need to get the pack moving." So far today seemed to be better than the last. The icy wind had stopped and the sun was shining in the sky. Granted, that made everything much brighter, but it also made everyone much warmer.

Resin stopped at the edge of the bridge and looked back at Attican. Having finally shaken off the remnants of the dream, she looked him in the eye. "You first or would you like to follow me?"

73 - Brute - Keeper

He waited patiently as Resin slowly gained her focus back into the 'real' world. She told him she was fine, but the lightly puzzled expression did not leave his face just yet. And it certainly did not leave his mind. What thoughts could have plagued the Alphess so much to cause to react in such a way?

As she appeared to return to her normal self the Keeper noticed that she did not create eye contact with him for some while. While he did not mention it, it slightly bothered him. Certainly she had no reasons to have to share any information with him and he had no rights to ask, so he let the words that formed on his tongue get swallowed. "I'd rather be behind," he replied to her question regarding their crossing. He could watch where she placed her feet then as well as not be a safety hazard to her in case he somehow slipped. He couldn't accidentally knock her over from behind.

The brute padded up towards the passage snow crunching beneath his feet. The waters below crashed around, swirling with white froth as they hit either side of the split ice lands. He would have been lying if he didn't say he was nervous.. In actuality his heart began to thump a little bit harder with every step he took. But everyone else had done it and now for the fact that he could actually see where he was going, Attican was sure that they'd get over... it still just was rather daunting.

His paw placed itself on the first step of the bridge, craning his head back to let Resin take lead. "Ladies first."

Curse tilted her head catching the brutes words but before she could answer she watched the Alpha come to her feet as if someone had lit her on fire. She growled softly not in anger but concern. She watched silently as the older wolf talked softly to Resin. After awhile the alpha seemed to calm herself and then took notice of her. The new question rang through. "one of my fellow stragglers had an issue with one of the pups" she responded. "your beta handled it, but I shall speak to him today while we travel to see if he is a threat to our safety." She offered falling silent as they approached the bridge.

Resin-Alpha Female-30 Summers

Hearing the answer to her question, she nodded and started forward. Yesterday there had been a harsh wind. Today, Resin could barely feel the tiniest whisper of air against her fur. It would be much easier to cross now. One paw in front of the other, she made her way carefully onto the stretch of ice.

"Don't look down. Move slowly. I'm right here. If you need me to stop, say so." Looking over her shoulder, she shot him a reassuring grin. "Let's go." On she went, keeping a safe distance but still maintaining a close proximity to the old wolf.

In reply to Curse's statement, she growled softly. Without Curse even mentioning a name, she knew who the trouble had come from. At the offer to talk to him to see if he threatened 'our' safety, Resin smiled inwardly. "You'd make a fine pack wolf, Curse. I appreciate you looking into it."

Still the dream drifted through her mind. Resin had noticed the slightly hurt look on Attican's face when she'd refused to speak about it. She would rectify the situation on the other side. Although, if she spoke about it in front of Curse, the wolf might think that Resin was quite mad. No matter, she decided. It was better to speak of it in front of one wolf rather than the entire pack.

73 - Brute - Keeper

The Elder brute followed shortly after Resin, taking careful placement as to where his feet went. Being on the larger side of the scale for a Great Wolf had its advantages, however this moment in time was definitely not one of them. He was thankful for the absence of the winds.

One step in front of the other, the two made their headway. Meanwhile, Curse spoke of a scuffle that had arose last night between a certain straggler and Ash. While he did not growl like Resin did, Attican could feel his jaw set angrily, picturing the face of the culprit male. However doing so had caused him to lose focus for a split second, his left front foot suddenly slipping due to careless placement.

Unrecognizable sounds and grunts escaped his mouth, legs scuffling every which way in desperate attempts to regain his footing. A claw caught hold of a patch of snow just enough to allow the brute to once again get enough grounds to stand upright. His fur stood nearly on end, amber eyes wide. He chuckled a little nervously, speaking what could potentially have been the most understated word he could possibly have uttered, "Oops."

The rest of the crossing went without a hitch, the only problem being that second or two in the middle with the slip. The ground was rather pleasing to him once they had safely arrived. He ran and dove into a snow bank, rolling around for a few moments in relief nearly like a pup. "And the old guy lives to see another day!" He joked out loud, standing back up and shaking out his pelt.

The Alphess's reaction was still buzzing in the back of his head, but Attican would not press on the subject unless the female brought it up herself. He finished shaking out and walked back towards the two females, ready whenever they were to reunite with the pack to continue their journey.

Resin-Alpha Female-30 summers

Step by step they moved across. Periodically she'd stop and look over her shoulder, checking on Attican's progress. He was doing well, although his nervousness was evident, and rightly so. Resin hoped that this would be the most difficult portion of the journey, but she knew that hope was futile.

The sound of nails scrabbling for purchase made her blood run cold. If he fell, she went in too. Resin was fully prepared to dive in after the brute, but was relieved when the sound ceased and Attican gave the nervous little "Oops."Resin couldn't help but laugh off her nervousness. "Bloody hell...I swear my heart just stopped."

Finally their paws reached the powdery snow upon the other side and she continued her laughing as Attican bounced around like a pup. "It's a good thing that you've lived to see another day." Slowly her grin receded and she motioned for both Attican and Curse to come along. They needed to get to the pack, eat if there was anything left, and start on their way.

As they walked she took a deep breathe, exhaling slowly. "What can you tell me about dream seers, Keeper?" She'd used his title, instructing that he delve into that vast expanse of knowledge that he possessed. By the end of this conversation both Attican and Curse would have to decide whether or not the Alpha was crazy. She had high hopes that it wouldn't be an issue.

73 - Brute - Keeper

The jollied humor of the moment naturally died out as the trio of wolves began their way to reunite with the pack. The snow crunched loudly beneath each of their paws, for a while being the only sound to be heard without the winds. Attican could not deny that he was hungry and now that the looming feeling of the bridge being past, his mind naturally trailed to the fantasy of a meal.

However his thoughts were averted when Resin questioned his knowledge of dreams. Surely this was about her startled wake up this morning. Her eyes had flashed something wild and foreign, seeing things that were obviously not of the world she had awoken in. He continued to look forwards as they padded on, thinking for a few moments and switching gears before he led to an answer.

"In my time I have found dreams to be a very funny thing. Some dreams, most dreams really, are just of the minds fantasy. They are that alone with no true significance of any sort. A way for the brain to simply release itself and give rest to the host. Some dreams picture one's aspirations in life, perhaps finding a mate, or getting a good hunt in for the next day. Once again these really only appeal to the everyday lives that we lead. Some dreams also may show our fears... nightmares being common too, showing us things that we'd never like to see."" he added, cocking his head to the side with the words.

Attican got quiet for a moment, breathing in deeply and looking up at the sky. "But some dreams are not like the others. Some truly appear to be given to a wolf for some particular reason. Whether good or bad. In all honesty I do not think of these being dreams at all," he looks softly at her, "I believe they are visions. Visions given for us to learn from or interpret. Who they come from, I'll be honest to say that I do not know, but I'd like to think that they are from our ancestors or the spirits in the sky, calling upon us to gain the information that they felt compelled enough to give us and decode." The Keeper looked at her more intently, now fully focused on his role as a Keeper. "You had a vision last night didn't you?" He asked gently.
