tom // ten moons // hunter apprentice // camp // mentions: yarrownose, birchpaw, foxpaw

Falconpaw was in the midst of a dream where he and his sister, Foxpaw were running as fast as they could from some unseen force with no distinguishing marks except for wicked sharp curved talons that were reaching out for his sister, no, Foxpaw ru---. He was awake, and panting into his bedding. Just a dream. He swiveled his head to look for his litter-mate, but she was not there. She was not a hunter apprentice like he was, and would not be in the den he stayed in. His eyes flickered up to the moving shape of Yarrownose getting up and nudging Birchpaw, and decided he might as well start the day early. Slowly rising to his paws, Falconpaw shook his head to dismiss the lingering cobwebs of sleep and the nightmare that accompanied it and padded outside of the den.

she-kit // four moons // wanderer kit // abandoned camp // mentions: June, A'kri

Mzia woke from her deeply disturbed dreams with a start, curled into a small ball, pressed into the fur of the nearest cat availabgle. When screams had lit the night, A'kri's warning cry told the rest of them to flee into dens and hide. Mzia had been yanked by her scruff and carried into a small abandoned den full of rotten bedding and sharp stones. She had not been able to see her mother in all the panic. Presently, she was afraid to take a single pawstep away from the comforting scent of the cats who had chosen to hide in this den as well. But she had to find June. Steeling herself, the young kit ventured out of the den and into the sunlight. And she suddenly wished she hadn't. There were blood spatters along the ground, dark crimson and stained into the very earth. The scent in the air was distress, fear, blood, and death. Where was June? Stumbling forward, she began to call out in a warbling tone. "June? Momma? Momma?"

Mistfeather

She-cat • 33 moons • Assassin • In camp • Yarrownose, Seedblossom
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Mistfeather woke up as the light streamed into the cave. She blinked, he pupils shrinking as her eyes got used to the morning light. Humming with pleasure, she lay there for a while, letting the weak Autumn sun warm her pelt. She shuddered as she thought about the eternal darkness of the hunters’ den, wondering how they managed to sleep without the stars and the moon to soothe them. Stretching her sleep-stiff limbs, she watched Yarrownose appear and an excited Seedblossom run into him, talking excitedly. Mistfeather wondered what could have happened to make the young assassin this excited. She thought she heard something about ‘the way more fun hunt’, and guessed what happened; but visitors in their territory were so rare that she didn’t believe her ears. Curious, she padded over to Seedblossom, hailing her with a wave of her tail. “Seedblossom,” the she-cat’s voice was hard and serious, “what’s happened?” Mistfeather had her sources of information, namely her own experiences and the idle gossip of other cats, but Seedblossom seemed to have the facts she she wanted.

Birchpaw

Tomcat • 8 moons • Hunter Apprentice • In Camp • Yarrownose
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Birchpaw mumbled incoherently as Yarrownose prodded him. “Do I have to? I’m tired.” He shifted uncomfortably. He’d only been sleeping in the hunters’ den for about a week and a half, so he was not used to the lack of light in the mornings yet. He clambered onto unsteady paws and hobbled through the tunnels to the main cavern. The morning sunlight stunned him for a moment, and he paused, his eyes adapting to the sudden change in the level of light. Yawning, he stumbled into the middle of the cavern, stopping next to his mentor. “What will we be doing today?” Birchpaw asked. He watched Mistfeather approach Seedblossom with curiosity. “What’s that all about? Seedblossom seems very excited about something.” He sat down and looked around, most of his tiredness gone. The heirs and the leader were still asleep, while other cats were beginning to rouse themselves. Birchpaw sometimes felt out of place because he was the youngest cat in the clan, but he shook the thought from his mind. He wasn’t that much younger than the other apprentices, and he knew that a queen would have kits sooner or later. But for now, he was the youngest.

Oz

Tomcat • 10 moons • Learner • In Abandoned Camp • Spike, A’kri
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Oz was half asleep, dreaming of hunting mice for the wanderers. Thinking if the proud look on Hanalei’s face when he brought back mounds of prey to help feed them. But his daydream was interrupted by the stalking movement of his brother, who seemed up to no good. Oz knew well enough that when Spike was in a bad mood, someone was likely to get hurt. He crouched and followed his brother, the combination of Spike’s intense focus and Oz’s brown pelt keeping him from Spike’s mind. Oz watched from the sidelines as Spike advanced on A’kri, padding closer and closer, before leaping towards her. Oz knew he had to act. The moment before Spike jumped, he dashed forward and threw himself into his side, knocking them both to the floor. Oz knew not whether Spike had hit his target. “What was that for?” Spike yowled. “I was practicing my stalking and pouncing skills!” Oz snorted. That’s about as likely as a mouse hunting a cat. “Oh, grow up, Spike. You’ll get us both kicked out if you keep behaving like this,” Oz hissed furiously. He sat down, fuming, before standing up again and walking to the edge of camp. He didn’t know what to do about his brother. He was out of control, and would end up seriously hurting someone at some point. He lay down, closing his eyes in a moment of relaxation before the day’s activities began.

Spike

Tomcat • 10 moons • Learner • In Abandoned Camp • Oz, A’kri
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Spike was in a foul mood. All of the infernal screeching of dying cats last night had disturbed his ‘beauty sleep’, to put it one way. He opened his eyes, glaring at his sleeping brother through narrowed slits. He heard light footsteps in the clearing outside, meaning there was a cat to attack. He poked his nose through the entrance to the den, seeing that his target was A’kri. Creeping forwards on quiet paws, Spike approached his target. She was so close... so tempting. He sprang forwards, landing on what he thought was A’kri, before being thrown to the ground by Oz. “What was that for?” Spike complained loudly. “I was practicing my stalking and pouncing skills!” This, of course, was not true; Spike had wanted to vent out his anger by digging his teeth into the flesh of another cat. He could see that Oz knew that too. “Oh, grow up, Spike,” Oz yowled. “You’ve done this enough times before for me to know that’s not true. You’ll get us both kicked out if you keep behaving like this.” Oz sat down, swishing his tail furiously, before standing up again and stalking off towards the edge of he clearing. Spike sat and glowered at A’kri, wondering if she would punish him for his behaviour.

( 30 Moons) ( Jupiner Med-Cat) (Tom cat ) ( Bi-sexual ) ( tags:Hornet Star (mentioned) )
. ── Don't lose who you are in the blur of the stars❞

The tom cat opened his eyes and listened for a moment as droplets of water hit the cave floor, the fog was ever so thick this morning on the lake, one of his favourite views.
He just lay in his nest and thought about the dream he shared with star clan, which he should soon share with his leaderas it was important.
He then got up and tended to his nest and groomed his thick pelt, then making his way out of his den and made his way to the leader's den, quietly he dare not disturb any sleeping cats. He hoped Hornet star would be awake so he could share his dream with her, his honey eyes scanned the den before entering she seemed to be awake so he made his way in dipping his head.
"Hornet star, I'm sorry to disturb you this morning, may I speak with you alone?" He said his voice echoing in the den. [words 160]

( 27 Moons) ( Jupiner Assasin) (Tom cat ) (Heterosexual ) ( tags:(mentioned) )
. ── Don't paint me black when I used to be Golden❞

Twisted branch flinched as he had tried to forget what he saw in front of him at midnight when the new moon was high. The lookout hadn't been so interesting in a while but the graphic content he had witnessed had been a bit much for the assassin. He would be haunted by the screams of the seemingly innocent cats who'd been sent to star clan by owls.
He'd remember the nights he and his clan mates would have in that camp, moving was a wise choice from hornet star.
As he got up he made his way out of the den quietly, making sure not to step on any other cat who'd been asleep, although he was afraid of what he had seen last night he was curious as to what the cats from the other "Clan" would be doing. So he made his way up to the lookout, perhaps this morning he'd get to see the sunrise it was his favourite thing to watch.
The toms eyes scanned the horizon it was foggy this morning, the thick layer of it made it hard for him to see across the lake.
