tom // ten moons // hunter apprentice // camp // mentions: yarrownose, birchpaw, foxpaw
Falconpaw was in the midst of a dream where he and his sister, Foxpaw were running as fast as they could from some unseen force with no distinguishing marks except for wicked sharp curved talons that were reaching out for his sister, no, Foxpaw ru---. He was awake, and panting into his bedding. Just a dream. He swiveled his head to look for his litter-mate, but she was not there. She was not a hunter apprentice like he was, and would not be in the den he stayed in. His eyes flickered up to the moving shape of Yarrownose getting up and nudging Birchpaw, and decided he might as well start the day early. Slowly rising to his paws, Falconpaw shook his head to dismiss the lingering cobwebs of sleep and the nightmare that accompanied it and padded outside of the den.

she-kit // four moons // wanderer kit // abandoned camp // mentions: June, A'kri
Mzia woke from her deeply disturbed dreams with a start, curled into a small ball, pressed into the fur of the nearest cat availabgle. When screams had lit the night, A'kri's warning cry told the rest of them to flee into dens and hide. Mzia had been yanked by her scruff and carried into a small abandoned den full of rotten bedding and sharp stones. She had not been able to see her mother in all the panic. Presently, she was afraid to take a single pawstep away from the comforting scent of the cats who had chosen to hide in this den as well. But she had to find June. Steeling herself, the young kit ventured out of the den and into the sunlight. And she suddenly wished she hadn't. There were blood spatters along the ground, dark crimson and stained into the very earth. The scent in the air was distress, fear, blood, and death. Where was June? Stumbling forward, she began to call out in a warbling tone. "June? Momma? Momma?"
