Aumanil | Pod Matriarch |42 years old | Tagging Pod

Aumanil saw her mother speed up and let out a call of welcome. She felt bubbles on her belly, and brought her tail down with an annoyed thud. She swam down to Jinx, nudging him to put him in line. He could annoy the others, but she was the pod matriarch. She didn't have time for such antics.

Krila | In Kaila's Pod |8 years old | Tagging Pod

Krila rushed along with her pod, letting out loud calls of excitement. She surged out of the water, twisting joyfully in the crisp, cold air before landing with a splash back in the ocean. She wasn't sure where they were going, but her mom always took her to great places with plenty of good food, so she was excited just to be traveling.

Watching as Aumanil swam down to scold Jinx for some game he must have been playing Kiyara whistled softly in amusement before clicking once again to check on Pukak and make sure that she was nearby. Then observing the rest of the pod Kiyara noticed how Saskia seemed to be growing a bit tired but her gaze shifted away from the older female as she let out a longer series of clicks to echo locate. A 'picture' of sort came back and Kiyara could now tell that there was a lone fish not far in front of her, not wanting to spend the energy to chase it though instead she tried to locate it with here eyes.

Letting out a disappointed series of clicks when Aumanil dove down towards him Jinx had kinda hoped he would get away with it this time. But he listened the Aumanil's scolding and after blowing one last bubble of defiance he began to rise to grab a breath of because he had wasted his last breath on bubbles. He moved slowly however so that Aumanil wouldn;t think he was being rude or something. Jinx would just play his games later when Aumanil wasn't paying him any attention, maybe then could he have some fun and bug the rest of the pod.

Chazi

The young calf would swim forward while swaying side to side. Chazi swam above and under his mother as he kept on swimming forward. He let out chirps and other waves of sounds, while blowing bubbles sometimes out of his breathing hole. Not really focusing that much, he kept on bumping into Alla as he swam. Occasionally nudging her on purpose, but sometimes by accident.
The water was cool as it glided past him. He would surface when it came to an opening, popping his head up just enough to take a breath before quickly diving down back to his mother. After a while of swimming, his mother suddenly nudges him back. Chazi slows down and almost hovers behind as his mother goes to inspect whatever she saw. Chazi let out clicks to try to locate the object or animal his mother was after. He couldn't yet identify it, so he let out whisle instead. Chazi would watch as his pod continues to swim forward. Yet, he waits on his mother's return.

Auma clicked teasingly to Jinx, surging forward. She could hear the splashes of seals ahead, and let out a low, quiet warning cry to the others to be quiet and slow. She looked at the seals, trying to see if any were injured or slower than the others. After a meal, they could rest and settle in.

Krila rushed along with her pod, letting out loud calls of excitement. She surged out of the water, twisting joyfully in the crisp, cold air before landing with a splash back in the ocean. She wasn't sure where they were going, but her mom always took her to great places with plenty of good food, so she was excited just to be traveling.

Karlua paused for a moment, watching the seals. She scanned the area for younger or weak seals to pass. She spotted one seal slide onto a floating piece of ice nearby. Her hunting instincts started to kick in.

Skyla nudges up alongside Arluq and lets out a whine as she swims forward, complaining that she's tired as she buts her head into her mother's flank. Skyla then stops swimming, gliding forwards a little before stopping and whining again. Aumanil and Karlua are further up ahead, leaving Skyla behind as she stubbornly refuses to swim. The young orca wants a nap or rest and she wants it now.

As Alla gets closer she can tell that the animal is a shark, so she's glad for not calling Chazi forward. With a warning cry to the rest of the pod she swims forward at the shark, not caring when it turns to head in the opposite direction. The shark was close to her baby and no matter the intent it had, the beast wouldn't get away. Alla swims closer and smacks it hard with her tail. When the shark flies up into the air she feels a surge of pleasure. The shark slams into an ice floe before slipping back into the water, sinking slightly since its so dazed. Alla let's out another call to her pod, thi done telling them that there's dinner, before backing off back towards Chazi. The mother isn't terribly hungry, but after seeing a predator she needs to check on her calf or she'd go insane with worry.

Arluq swam just off of the starboard-side of her sister's tail fluke, keeping one eye on her calf. Already eight years old, Skyla was growing well and gaining stamina each day. Still, there were times that Arluq was reminded that the young female still had awhile before becoming an adult. Times like now, as Skyla nudged her side, calling to her mother that she was tired before she stopped swimming altogether. Circling back around to her calf, Arluq encouraged the young orca to keep swimming. Communicating through a series of whistles and clicks, she told her calf that they could swim with Saskia until she was rested, since her mother was not nearly as swift of a swimmer as she used to be and probably wouldn't mind slowing down for her granddaughter's sake.

Akuma swam around the waters as he surfaced to the water to breath. He took a deep breath then sank down again. He wondered what it was like up the waters onto the land. He never knew since he was a marine animal. Sometimes being marine animals suck.

While Skyla is stubborn enough to keep a tantrum up for much longer, her mother's gentle coaxing had her swimming alongside the other again, bumping up intomArluq's side every minute or so. She gives a little huff and blows out some bubbles, watching them trail up to the surface before following with another whine, this time moaning simply because she was out of air and didn't feel like swimming up to the surface. To say she's being a drama queen is an understatement. After taking a breath and diving back down again Skyla grows too tired to complain much more and instead just falls ito place, almost obedient, thankful for her mother and grandmother to be moving slower.

Auma turned to see the stunned shark, and lets out another call to the pod, rushing forward and grasping the creature in her jaws. She shook it until she felt its cartilage crack. She released it, calling to the pod and taking a big bite. Blood blossomed in the water. She backed away so the others could get a taste, looking up at the ice. All of the seals had exited the water, hearing their hunting calls.

She saw a smaller floe, and rushed towards it. She knew there was a seal on it. She began to circle it, hoping some of the other pod members would come and help her get the seal off.
