Milky pre-dawn light filtered through the hunters den, settling upon a lanky, slumbering wolf. Pelt as dark at midnight, the wolf looked like a ball of shadows compressed into a weak outline of a wolf. Of course, this wolf wouldn't wake just yet. No, they'd rather sleep. Because sleep sounded so appealing at the moment.
Everything seemed to go well. Chest rising and falling in soft sleep, ears occasionally twitching. One soft, small, and again sleepy figure plundered through the den, stepping lightly. Claudia's nest was about in the center, due to her years from being in the pack.
As the wolf raised a paw, Claudia's lengthy dark tail swished, causing the wolf to plant a hard, rough paw down on the bony structure.
With a startled yelp, pale gray optics fluttering open, she lifted her head, a throaty, threatening growl emitting from her through. Her peaceful aura had changed after a matter of moments, to a darker, sinister one that could be felt. The wolf flattened their ears in a quick expression of submission, and gave a quick 'sorry', before shuffling out quickly.
Watching the wolf go, Claudia curled her lip back in irritation, but said nothing else. Swiping her tongue over her muzzle swiftly to collect any loose saliva that might have spattered around her maw. Huffing, she swiveled her ears back, pinning them halfway down, and let her upper body fall in the nest, making the drying moss and bracken crunch under her rough shoulders.
After a few minutes, Claudia could tell she wasn't going to sleep. She wasn't. So much for a late night hunt, and staying in a bit later. Huffing, she pulled her upper body up first, before heaving herself up, shoulder and leg muscles shifting under her pelt with the minimal effort. She was, a keen and fit wolf, that was true. Stiffly padding out, her large paws begun to relax, and flex to the rough terrain. Padding out, she gave her long tail a few lashes, making sure it was alright from being stepped on. But it was. She just liked lashing it sometimes. It gave her another darker look about the mysterious female.
Padding out into the camp, she bent down on her forepaws, rump in the air, tail curled over her back, and opened her maw in a large yawn; dark yellow shards flashing in her mouth, pink tongue curled, eyes closed in a moment of bliss at the stretch.

The forest was dark, and silent. Pines loomed overhead, occasionally shedding their sticky and pointed, almost whishbone-like needles. Crouching down low, her body was compressed into a solid form, muscles rippling under the dark, rough pelt. Patches of light filtered through the trees weakly, casting flecked patches all around. The midnight black fae was unable to see well, as she was completely still, like an arrow knocked on a bowstring. She could feel her muscles slightly quivering, and stiffen from being in such a hard position for so long. Ignoring the pain and stiffness, she drew one leg out slowly, back paws barely making any noise, as she pulled herself slower, and slower.
It seemed like hours, before she reached a safe distance, about ten feet or closer. The gray-haired vermin bent down, nose quivering, as it picked up a few strands of the leafy substance that sprouted from the ground. Grinning on the inside, Claudia let her tail stick straight out, as she waited. And waited.
Until, the rabbit smelt something. Probably her. Without waiting for another sign, she leapt out, almost like a fox in the snow, as her back-leg muscles were working, pushing the female forward. She outstretched her legs, shoulder bones rubbing and grinding, muscles feeling the rush of being let free.
She was very close to it now, and, taking the risk of leaping at it, the wolf reached out with a large paw, claws scoring down it's ribcage, and hooking into it's soft flank, from whence she pulled it back. The squealing vermin gave a cry, and tried to wriggle free, but she wouldn't let it. Bending down to put it out of the world, she clamped her jaws behind it's neck, as the wriggling stopped in a few moments.
Everything fell silent, and Claudia adjusted her grip around it, making sure her teeth didn't make any more puncture wounds. Turning, she could feel satisfaction, and a rush of cockiness run through her, as she ducked through the forest, a bit slower this time.
Breath whirling out in front of her, the females nose twitched a few times, as she made her way back to camp, but still in the forest for a bit.
