Postby Corgi Fox <3 » Tue Jan 21, 2025 2:53 pm

Two steamy cups of tempting brew - one for me and one for you; at a cozy little table made for two...

Image

You're like a fresh cup of coffee early in the morning...

Finally, spring is coming to a close, and summer is well on its way - and there are so many things to do. You've moved to a new town - Thistlewood - and every year, there are four huge festivals to celebrate each season upon their respective arrivals. You want to take the opportunity to explore your new surroundings and meet new people, so you decide to participate in the next one that's coming up, soon - summer. 4th of July, pool parties, refreshing summer treats, and getting a break from one's studies to spend time with family & friends are some of the themes that will inspire this festival, so it sounds like something that will be fun to partake in, anyway! With a fresh start in a new place, and few to no familiar faces, you head to the local coffee shop; after all, there's nothing more comforting than heading to a coffee shop and cozying up with a cup of your beverage of choice on a rainy day like today. Or, perhaps you're one of the locals, and have decided to go out on a daily coffee run, anticipating something new and exciting to hopefully happen while you're venturing about the town that you've grown to know and love so fondly? Who knows? Who will you meet, and where will this fresh start take you? Maybe you'll meet someone along the way...

Re: I Love You A Latte § v.3 § Rules

Postby Corgi Fox <3 » Tue Jan 21, 2025 2:56 pm

§ Rules §

§ All of CS/Tess' rules apply - these were created for a reason, so please go review them, if you have yet to do so!
§ Please write at least 5 sentences per character in your posts; writer's block is understandable, on occasion, however.
§ No god-modding, mini modding, powerplaying, etc. Nobody likes it when someone's controlling other people's characters, nor when a character always has foresight! That said...
§ No perfect characters.
§ Character ages are between 18-29.
§ Romance and drama are obviously allowed, but please don't go overboard! I'd also prefer if..."things" didn't happen; but, if you must, please at least use fades to black/time skip. It is also preferred that you don't curse.
§ Be respectful to one another, no fighting, and please don't ignore anyone.
§ Character reservations will last 24 hours. Please notify me if you will need an extension, or I will remove it after the 24 hours is over.
§ You may have as many characters as you please, as long as you can handle playing that many characters. This is subject to change, based upon how quickly/slowly slots fill up.
§ Please post all forms and ooc on the Discussion Thread.
§ Please make your forms descriptive; I understand not being able to post an image (I have to type entire image url's out on the device I use), so please make sure you provide a detailed description of what the character looks like, if you don't plan on using an image!
§ Have fun! :D

I Love You A Latte § v.3 § Characters § Girls

Postby Corgi Fox <3 » Tue Jan 21, 2025 3:01 pm

§ The Pumpkin Spice Latte §
Spunky, sassy, and bubbly, this girl's personality is one that people either really like, or absolutely don't. She's pretty popular, and with good reason. She's friendly, extroverted, and overall a fun person to be around. She can be a bit over the top, and perhaps a bit fiery, at times, but she also has a pleasantly sweet side to her, as well.
Yeonmi Lee § 23 § Corgi Fox <3

§ The Hot Chocolate §
Sweet, gentle, and nurturing, she's actually a pretty loved person. She doesn't really understand why, as she actually doesn't like being the center of attention. She's more introverted, so she keeps to herself a bit more. Her motherly instincts and sweet, modest personality are what people adore about her, though, as she's easy to feel comfortable and safe around.
Ciela Bree Monet § 22 § Corgi Fox <3

§ The Chai Latte §
Like Hot Chocolate, this girl has a sweet, comforting nature - in a lot of ways, you could say they're very alike. The difference? Well, she's a bit more of an ambivert, and is also a little more inclined to take a "tough love" approach than Hot Chocolate is. And, though she is sweet, there's also that kick of spice in there...
Giselle Avery § 22 § Spiritstar3

§ The Green Tea §
Calm, tranquil, and stable - if you could describe this girl in any way, that would precisely be it. She's relaxed, wise, and oftentimes can give the best advice. Her downfall, however, is being too friendly, as she gets taken advantage of, sometimes.
Jessika Rob § 26 § Spiritstar3

§ The Apple Cider §
Spunky, carefree, and excitable, this girl always has something up her sleeve. If she's not working, she's out and about, keeping busy with shopping trips, or some exciting new adventure. She loves trying new things and taking risks. She can be quite temperamental, however, so it's best not to get on her bad side. One thing is for certain - there's never a dull moment when she's around.
Winsley Torres § 23 § senna_

§ The Affogato §
This girl can do it all - on one hand, she's sweet, cute, girly, and downright charming; on the other, she can also be bold, tough, and doesn't mind a little dirt. Everyone sees her as perfect, with the perfect life. What they don't know? Underneath the surface, it definitely isn't what it seems.
Isabella Moretti § 24 § Furrydogs12

§ The Strawberry Lemonade §
This girl is sweet, with a personality as flavourful as a strawberry lemonade. She's easy to get along with and is always up for a fun social gathering. However, she isn't as carefree as her outer layer portrays her to be, and sometimes her insecurities get to the better of her.
Novalie Brielle LN § 23 § Unravel the Dreams

Credit to senna_ for the character idea :]

§ The London Fog §
A true introvert, this girl is. She likes to remain on the down-low side of things, but that doesn't mean she is antisocial; she's as loyal as can be towards her loved ones. She's easy-going, and while she'll take the extra mile to cheer her friends up when need be, she's far more delicate with her own emotions.
Name § Age § (Reserved for Serendipity !)

Credit to rheia for the character idea :]

§ The Soy Milk Latte §
She's a small-town girl ready to start a new chapter of her life. That being said, she'll do it quietly; this girl isn't a major talker, unless someone comes to her first. She's hard-working and dedicated, but jumping into the public eye will certainly take a bit of work.
Lily Grace Navarro § 21 § Unravel the Dreams

Credit to Keen for the character idea :]

§ The Rooibos Tea §
This girl is sweet in the most smooth, gentle way possible. She's always full of wisdom, and knows just what to say or do when someone is in need of help, advice, comfort, or just a simple shoulder to cry on. Her intuition is keen, she's sharp as a tack, and has an extremely formidable amount of fortitude, and a discerning spirit. She is highly respected and loved by practically everyone. What lies behind those calm waters, though? Perhaps the world will never know, but one thing is for certain: she has her demons to face and a cross to bear, just like anyone else. She has more than her fair share of struggles and pain to face, but fighting and winning those battles (not to mention, learning from her failures, shortcomings, and mistakes) has shaped her into who she is, today.
Mei Lin § 22 § Furrydogs12

§ The Sweet Tea §
This southern girl is sure to cause you to go into a sugar coma with her sweetness! Born in a small town, she's deeply rooted in her morals and values, and is definitely an old soul. She loves crafting, cooking, baking, sewing - the whole shebang. Basically, if there's something she can make from scratch, she will be dying to try her hand at it, and won't stop until she's perfected it, and has gained a new and useful life skill. She's also rather innocent and sheltered, oftentimes leading to confusion, awkward moments, and misunderstandings; that said, her innocence is far from bad! Her pure heart and soul prove to be just as genuine as everything else about her! That said, this also means she's practically incapable of lying, and heavily wears her heart on her sleeve, seeing that she's very expressive and emotional. She also tends to be a "mother hen", so to speak, and has been known to worry about her loved ones. It's also important to note that one shouldn't cross her and her loved ones, nor try to take advantage of her kindness and innocence - she can certainly pack a punch, and is definitely not afraid to set somebody straight.

I Love You A Latte § v.3 § Boys

Postby Corgi Fox <3 » Tue Jan 21, 2025 3:18 pm

§ The Dark Roast §
Just like a strong, black cup of coffee, this guy is bold and straight to the point. He's a more serious individual, and is oftentimes a bit of a loner. You have to take him as he is, and most people view him as offputting. In reality, he's actually a pretty good guy - just misunderstood, seeing as how most don't take his straightforward, no-nonsense nature too well.
Milo Rhys Hirota § 23 § Unravel the Dreams

§ The Caramel Macchiato §
When one thinks of this guy, they'd say he's the bad boy that you should avoid at all costs, if you know what's good for you. His reputation of being a player, with a long list of girls' hearts that he's claimed to have broken, and the extensive list of fights he's gotten into as his repitoire, only seems to solidify this theory. However, in truth, when one actually puts in the work and the time to get to know him, they will find that he's sufprisingly ornery, playful, and actually quite sweet. He's always looking to make someone laugh or smile, especially when they seem to be upset or hurt, and will defend his loved ones and thd innocent fiercely. That's the part that isn't mentioned, oftentimes, about some of those fights that he's been in, throughout the years, but he's not just a fully cold-hearted bad boynthat just looks for trouble constantly. However, he can also have his moments - he's notorious for having a disposition that can vary from being slightly bitter, to packing quite a strong punch, when he wants to, or is provoked enough (though, in fairness, this reaction is honestly oftentimes absolutely provoked).
Lucas Montgomery § 24 § Furrydogs12

§ The Mocha §
People tend to wonder about this one. He's kind, sweet, and caring, so he certainly isn't opposed to lending a helping hand to those who need it. He's not afraid to be a bit bold, and stands up for those who need it, as well. However, due to his introverted nature, he likes keeping to himself, and doesn't open up about his private life to that many people. Like The Dark Roast, he actually tends to be a bit of a loner, and tries to avoid drama like the plague - again, unless it's something where someone is in serious trouble and in need of help. In some cases, when asked about more personal things, they think he's being cold and a bit bitter. But is he really? Or is he just rather guarded, and actually has a heart of gold, being a total sweetheart, once you manage to melt through that cold, stoic exterior of his?
Seonjae Park § 25 § Corgi Fox <3

§ The Vanilla Frappe §
What comes to mind when you think of him? Cinnamon roll, most likely. He's incredibly sweet, and is seldom known not to be wearing that signature smile of his. He's always looking out for other people, and always thinks about others before himself. Some say it's a problem, but he isn't bothered by it in the least. He is, however, quite the pushover - and surprisingly naive - so people tend to use him, as a result.
Nathaniel Jaxon O'Hara § 21 § Corgi Fox <3

§ The Chamomile Tea §
This guy is generally calm and collected, and tends to be good at helping others to relax. When someone needs help with sorting out their problems or emotions, he's definitely the guy to talk to. He's actually quite extroverted, and tends to naturally attract people to him. Everyone wonders how he's able to be so calm with the everyday stresses of life. The answer? His past made him realize he needed to change for the better.
Seon Lee § 24 § Corgi Fox <3

§ The Chocolate Caramel Frappe §
At first, people may find him to be a bit much - childish, obnoxious, doesn't take things seriously enough, and, at times, reckless. Despite this sometimes being the case, he's oftentimes misunderstood. He just wants to show people that they don't always have to be so serious, and that life should be enjoyed. In truth, when you get to know him, he's actually kinda sweet - well, no, that's a huge understatement. Getting to know this side of him is so sweet, you just might walk away with a cavity or two! But you'll be asking for another serving of this lovable man's addictive personality - it's pretty much guaranteed that he'll treat his friends well, as well as spoil the girl he loves rotten. But just like high doses of sweets, if you abuse it, there's always a sugar crash - the moment you hurt him badly enough and lose his trust, he's done, and you'll be left heartbroken and craving more, but he will be nowhere to be found.
Caden Sweet § 23 § Furrydogs12

§ The Honey Oat Latte §
A near-perfect gentleman, this boy is. Sweet-tempered, well-mannered, and easy-going; he's quiet, but he's not standoffish. If only he could treat himself the way he treats his peers...
Eli Willows § 23 § iqtrash

Credit to senna_ for the character idea :]

§ The Cafè Mocha §
Much like the design of a cafè mocha, this character has layers to him. The top layer, the layer people are most familiar with, portrays him as a bit of a cocky being who doesn't have much care for anything or anyone around him. However, he isn't as "carefree" as considered, and truthfully, there are a lot more levels to his personality than originally believed.
Samuel Harris § 27 § Spiritstar3

Credit to senna_ for the character idea :]

§ The Cappuccino §
This boy is, at first glance, quite basic/cliche, and it’s quickly evident that’s he tends to have a dry sense of humor. However, just like the sweet, rich flavor of a cappuccino, there’s much more to him than just the, “layer of foam on the surface,” so to speak. He’s sweet, knd, and surprisingly bold, when he wants to be. He’s also got an oddly comforting presence, though no one can quite put their finger on why. He can, however, be far sensitive, sometimes.
Rori Berenger § 26 § senna_

§ The White Chocolate Mocha §
This boy is always energetic, and can be somewhat bold. He thinks he's edgy, and tries a little too hard to be so. In truth, that heavy dose of sweetness that he possesses, resulting in a kind heart and an affinity for cute things - which he unsuccessfully attempts to hide, but he makes it just a bit too obvious - contradicts the "bad boy rebel" vibe that he tries to give off. Still, even in spite of his image that he tries to keep up, it's blatantly clear and quite obvious that he's got a good heart. He dreams of finding the perfect girl for him to spoil and love on with everything he's got - what can he say? He's a hopeless romantic. But will he ever truly find his perfect love?
Eakphol Suwannathat § 24 § Spiritstar3

§ The Arnold Palmer §
This guy has some complex layers, but overall can be chalked up to being a bit of a classic and an old soul. He has an iffinity for generations past, and is quite the history buff, constantly in search of a new historical fact to uncover. He's looked at as rather intelligent, and wise beyond his years - and perhaps a bit too clever for his own good. Not to mention, he's oftentimes extremely reliable. He does, however, also tend to be a little quirky, and oftentimes seeks out the "zest" in life. He also tends to flop between bringing a zing, packing a strong burst of energy and excitement, and being rather chill and mellow - his method to his madness? Just whatever he feels like being, thay day. While some find it fun and refreshing, others tend to view the boy as rather overbearing, and perhaps a bit annoying. He sometimes doesn't know when to quit, or, rather, just refuses to, out of sheer stubbornness. You simply have to take him or leave him for who he is.

I Love You A Latte § v.3 § Locations

Postby Corgi Fox <3 » Tue Jan 21, 2025 3:35 pm

§ Locations §

§ Starbucks §
This is one of the many popular coffee chain coffee shop locations. With how small and unknown the town is, it's honestly a surprise that one had been placed there. Still, the townspeople aren't complaining - many stop by for a cup of coffee on the way to work, or meet there for coffee dates. It also brings a little more attention to the town, these days, which is always good for local businesses.
They are currently hiring.
Manager:
Employees: Luke, Isabella

§ The Tiny Mug §
This local cafe is adored by everyone. With its classic French decor, selection of relaxing instrumental music, and friendly employees, it's easy to see why so many view it as warm, cozy, and inviting. If you're looking for a place to go for a quiet date, or for a cup of your favorite beverage and a pastry to accompany your afternoon reading, this is definitely the place to go.
They are currently hiring.
Owner: Danielle Madison
Employees: Nathaniel, Seonjae, Caden

§ Victoria's Tea Palace §
This is the place to go for afternoon tea, and, thus, is a popular place for elderly women to congregate after church, for the tourist who doesn't mind spending a few extra dollars, or for a group of ladies to just get together. They primarily sell fancy pastries, various teas, and finger sandwiches (also referred to as English Tea sandwiches). This is the place to go for an exceptionally special occasion, as their prices are unusually high for such a small town.
They are currently hiring.
Owner: Michael & Aurelia Jones
Employees: Ciela, Lily

§ The Pancake Palace §
This place is guaranteed to have the best breakfast in town, with a vast array of flavors, toppings, mix-ins, and more for pancakes and waffles! But their selection certainly doesn't end there - They sell many other things, too! Crepes, eggs, omelettes, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, french toast - you get the point. You name it, they've probably got it - and, if they don't, making a request for a new menu item is always encouraged! They will, most certainly, make another enticing concoction, and add it to the menu as soon as possible! Their prices are a bit high, but not enough to be ridiculous - and the food and experience dining in are well worth it, as the entire staff gives some of the best service in town! It's a great place to go for breakfast, brunch, or even a casual date or friend meet-up!
They are currently hiring.
Owner: James & Jessie Jones
Employees:

§ Sammy's Burgers §
This is your typical mom-and-pop diner run by the Smith family - a popular and beloved family in the town - for generations. It's unheard of that people dislike their food; everyone who eats there agrees that they've got amazing burgers, fries, and milkshakes, and their desserts are out of this world. Everything is fresh and homemade, and a lot of love and care has gone into this business.
They are currently hiring.
Owners: John and Anna Smith

This beach is a wonderful location to go to for bonfires or swimming, depending on the time of the year you decide to visit. It is located approximately 2 hours away from Thistlewood. The beach is named after the multiple reported sightings of mermaids that have popped up, over the years. None of the cases have been proven to be true, however. The beach is also a popular location for weddings and receptions, especially during the warmer months.

§ Thistlewood Forest §
Located about 45 minutes away from town, this forest gives off a rather enchanting, fairytale-like feeling. Between the weeping willows, draping wisteria, wild lavender and hyacinths, the cute woodland creatures, and the fireflies that come out in the evening time, you're sure to feel like a fairy while wandering about. People's favorite spot usually tends to be the areas with water - namely, Thistlewood Lake and Thistlewood Falls. The lake is a great place for fishing and picnics, and the falls are great if you want to go on a hike, or just want a good photo op. There are myths and legends about this forest, but none have ever been proven to be true.

***Note: If you have ideas for any other location, and/or would like your character(s) to own/be involved in one of these locations, please PM me! :]

I Love You A Latte § v.3 § Weather, Events

Postby Corgi Fox <3 » Tue Jan 21, 2025 4:18 pm

§ Date §

Saturday, May 25th - 2 weeks before the festival!

§ Weather Forecast §

Overcast, raining all day; thunderstorms in the morning and evening.

§ Previous Events §

N/A

§ Upcoming Events §

§ The Summer Festival §
Each season, the town celebrates a huge festival to celebrate. A majority of its residents jump in and get involved, whether it's to help run a booth, or as a guest to enjoy their time. The festival lasts 7 days, so everyone will be able to have their fair share of running a booth, and having some fun, as volunteers' schedules alternate.
-There will be various attractions, as it will take place at Thistle Land. So, there will be games (some with little prizes to win!), rides, various drink & refreshment stations, souvenir shops, and more!
-A talent competition will also take place during the Summer Festival, so be sure to get your group or solo acts together while you can still sign up (the application deadline is Thursday, June 5th)! There will be 8 categories, each with a grand prize of $1,000 per person (courtesy of an anonymous donor, whom is said to be extremely wealthy and wanted to give contestants a nice prize, this year), or an all-expense paid trip:
1. Solo musical acts. This can be singing, instrumental, or anything else that may spark your interest in the realm of music. 1-3 songs per person, depending on the length of the song, and the number of applicants.
2. Group musical acts. Again, this could be acapella, depending solely on vocals, can be fully instrumental, or a mix of the two. 1-3 songs per group, depending on the length of the song, and the number of applicants.
3. Solo dancing acts. A dance routine performed by a single person; you may also either do a soundtrack/pre-recorded music, or have friends perform live for your performance. Time limit of the performance is 5 minutes or less!
4. Group dancing acts. The same rules apply as the solo act, but obviously with a group of two or more people being the only difference. Time limit of the performance is 5 minutes or less!
5. Theatrics. This can be a solo act, or a group act, and may be a skit or play that lasts 15 minutes or less. It can be any genre - comedic, dramatic, romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, horror...you name it, it's allowed! As long as it is appropriate for all ages, that is! 6. Written word. This can be poetry, or any other form of original written word that you can think of, and would like to perform live!
7. Literature. This may be a short story/very light novel, consisting of 10-100 pages. These will be displayed for people to read, or even download as an audiobook, to listen to throughout the week. Votes will be limited to 1 vote per person for the entire week, and no voting for yourself!
8. Visual Arts. Artists may bring their artwork, whether it is a painting, drawing, sculpture, or some other sort of art piece, to put on display during the entire week of the festival. The exhibit will give visitors and volunteers a chance to vote for their favorite artwork (again, of course, with votes limited to 1 vote per person for the entire week, and no voting for yourself!). Votes will be tallied up at the end of the week, along with the rest of the votes for all other categories, once the competition is over. Each person may only enter in 1 solo, and 1 group category, or 2 solo or 2 group categories max.
-A firework show or water fountain show over the lake inside the park will be held every night before the park closes!
Currently, everyone is preparing for the summer festival - events will be held primarily outdoors, so don't forget to use some sunscreen! The festival will begin on Sunday, June 8th!

Seojun - 1 § Nathaniel - 1

Postby Corgi Fox <3 » Fri Jan 24, 2025 6:39 pm

Seojun Park § The Mocha
Location: Home, then Starbucks
Tags: N/A
BOOM! CLAP! A rolling trill of thunder, followed by a bright, indigo flash of lightning, suddenly rumbled throughout a quiet abode that was still a bit littered with a few moving boxes that had been neglected over the past couple of months, just awaiting their moment to finally be unpacked and placed in their proper locations. The rather abrupt - and surprisingly loud - clap of thunder stirred Seojun out of his deep slumber, and his eyes immediately darted over to the window, which was still covered up by a black pair of silky curtains. His gaze then tiredly shifted over to his clock, which read 8:00 AM. Pitter-patter, pitter-patter...all was calm as the rain, which was responsible for lulling the tall boy to sleep the prior night, gently yet relentlessly continued to beat against the window of his new home. He reluctantly sat up in his bed and stretched his arms above his head, letting out a worn-out groan in the process. Between moving to a new town, just a couple of months ago, and starting a new job - among other things - he was worn out, and hadn't had many opportunities to just let loose and relax, yet. But, considering the fact that he had the day off, and had finished unpacking the mass majority of his things, he decided that this was a good day to take advantage of being able to rest and recharge.
So, with that, Seojun finally got out of bed, and took a peek out his window. The sky was dark, covered in a dense and thick layer of clouds. The rain, accompanied by low rumbles of thunder, and brilliant flashes of lightning, was still pouring; it likely would all day, after all. "The rain really doesn't let up here, does it?" he thought to himself as he dropped the curtain back down, and then headed to his dresser to grab some clothes. Not that he minded the rainy weather; in fact, he loved it. This type of weather was one of his favorites; yet another reason to take advantage of his day off to just relax. He thought a drink and warm breakfast sandwich from Starbucks would pair quite nicely with this type of weather. He grabbed a white t-shirt, a black hoodie, a pair of jeans, and a pair of black and white tennis shoes, before heading to the shower.
After he had finished getting ready for the day, he grabbed a black Rolex watch and a white baseball cap, and headed downstairs. He was immediately greeted by his red Husky, Haru, who immediately darted over to him with a happy, wagging tail. "Morning, boy," Seojun greeted the fluffy dog with a soft smile as he patted his head, before heading to the kitchen to get the pup some food and fresh water. After feeding his dog, Seojun decided to grab his keys and phone, and headed to Starbucks, in order to get some breakfast for himself. As he drove, he quietly started singing some songs that he, Seon, and Hajin had started making together, back in high school:
"...Jeo meolli taeyangi naleul hwanhi bichumyeon (If the sun in the distance shines brightly on me),
I gin bihaeng sogui uimil dasi seonmyeonghi kkaedara (I clearly realize the significance of this long flight again)...
dan han beon swil sae eobneun nae nalgaetjise nal ewossan balami jagge heundeullil ttae (When the wind that surrounds me shakes little by the flapping of my wings that I can't rest once),
Jigu bandaepyeone daha pogpungi dweji anhado (Even if it reaches the other side of the Earth and does not become a storm),
Jogeum deo naraoreul suman itdamyeon (If only I could fly a little more),
I just fly,
Jeo areumdaun bicheul hyanghae deo nopi olla fly high (Toward that beautiful light, climb higher, fly high),
Neul geulyeowatdeon kkumeul hyanghae deo nalgael pyeolchyeo butterfly (Towards the dream that I always drew, spread my wings more, butterfly)...

He continued singing the song - one that he and his ex-bandmates called Butterfly Effect (ooc: Real song is Butterfly Effect by Astro, but for the intents of this RP, just gonna say they were written and performed by the OC's x3), on the peaceful car ride until he arrived at his destination. After that, he parked and got out of his car, then headed into Starbucks, and got in line to order.

Riiiing! an alarm clock obnoxiously bellowed out at far too loud of a decibel. The lump under the pile of warm, cozy blankets and sheets jumped, obviously taken off guard by the abrupt noise, and nearly rolled off the bed and onto the floor. Nathan yawned and tiredly rubbed his eye as he extended a hand forward - as he was lying on his side, facing the direction the noise was coming from - and smacked the screeching oblong clock until he had finally shut it off. Cracking an eye open, he could see that it was 5:00 AM; he had just an hour to nab some breakfast, get showered, and get to work. Yes, it was the weekend, but he picked up a Saturday shift for a coworker to help them out. So he'd be there for about 5 hours - not that he minded, as that wasn't too bad of a shift, and he actually enjoyed his job at the little local coffee shop.
With his slight time constraint in mind, he grabbed a white hoodie, some black and white Vans, and some jeans, and headed to the bathroom to get ready for the day. After he was finished, he he headed to the kitchen, where he made a quick plate of eggs and corned beef hash. His dog, Mocha, quickly and jauntily trotted her way into the kitchen, hoping for some scrap or morsel to fall into her clutches. The little Chocolate Lab/Golden Retriever mix puppy wagged her fluffy little tail and licked her chops as the aroma of eggs and bacon wafted through the air, causing her to drool a little. As Nathan was finishing up cooking his meal, he noticed the pup, who whined because of how desperately she wanted the meal. He took the food off the heat, and headed to her dog bowl with a small morsel of egg. He crouched down, and started petting Mocha. "Mornin' Mocha! How'd you sleep?" the Irish boy said cheerily, before getting her food, and scattering the egg around the food. He then rose back up to his feet, and ate his food while Mocha devored her food quickly.
After he was finished, he gathered his belongings, and headed over to The Tiny Mug.
When he got into work, he started prepping for customers. After a lot of cleaning, it was 8:00 AM, already; opening time, and customers started trickling their ways in.

Yeonmi - 1 § Ciela - 1

Postby Corgi Fox <3 » Sat Jan 25, 2025 1:51 am

Yeonmi Lee § The Pumpkin Spice Latte
Location: Outside, heading towards The Pancake Palace
Tags: Seojun, then N/A
Tap, tap, tap...The rain continuously plopped against the scarlet umbrella that Yeonmi currently carried, and she contently hummed as she walked, her destination in mind. She was hungry, and decided that some breakfast at The Pancake Emporium would do just fine. It was about 8:00 AM, so they should be open by now, surely, she thought. She grabbed her red iPhone from out of her pocket, and decided to send her childhood friend, Seojun, a text: Hey, are you awake, yet? Of course, knowing him and that he had the weekend off, she presumed that he wasn't. The boy was not a morning person, so he tended to sleep in, whenever given the chance to. She figured, if he was awake, though, maybe he and her older brother, Seon, would want to meet up for breakfast, now that everyone had moved and settled in. With that, she nodded and started heading down the street, flashing a bright smile in the direction of any person she passed. As she walked, she decided to listen to some music - so, she popped her Sony earbuds into her ears, and started scrolling through her extensive music library until she stumbled on something acceptable, at the moment - more specifically, LiSA's music, as she had a lot of songs that the girl adored. She wrapped the camel-colored trenchcoat that she wore more tightly around her as a gust of wind suddenly rushed by, causing a shiver to run down her spine. She groaned, hoping that the wind wouldn't end up ruining her hair and makeup. She loved the rain, but she didn't like getting out in the rain. Shaking her previous thoughts off, she continued on her way. She came to a crosswalk, and stood there, waiting for it to turn green, and give her the "OK" to cross. In the meantime, she watched as people went about their business, either walking down the street, or driving bynin various different vehicles. The town was certainly more calm and peaceful then Seoul was. While she missed her home in South Korea, the less bustling and busy lifestyle was, admittedly, an interesting change of pace. In some ways, she liked it; but, in others, she wasn't fond of it. Both cities and lifestyles had their pros and their cons, she supposed. Still, she was taking advantage of her time away from Seoul while she could. Whilst Seon was now unable to perform, and Seojun had decided to step down, as a result, she, Hajin, Taeha, Jaehyun, and Ryun still decided to pursue their music careers in the k-pop industry. They weren't as well-known musicians, though, so their new record label had decided to allow her some time away from the spotlight during Seon's recovery period, and for several months beyond that. Hajin, Taeha, Jaehyun, and Ryun however, had decided to keep pushing forward, and Yeonmi, Seojun, and Seon all were cheering for the 4 members of Wild 4ces on, wishing nothing but the very best for them all. And Yeonmi hoped she could catch up to her dear friends in the right time. In the meantime, some long overdue rest & recharge was in order.

Ciela Bree Monet § The Hot Chocolate
Location: Home, then Victoria's Tea Palace

It had been a lovely morning for the brunette-haired girl - being the morning person she was, Ciela had woken up quite early. She just sat on her bed, a sketchbook on her lap - as per usual - and a pencil in the other. She drew a protrait of Cookie and Lapiz, whom were curled up in two overlapping little balls of fur - with Cookie resting slightly atop of Lapiz, respectively - asleep, next to her. She had decided, since she was up so early, that it wasn't such a bad idea to practice her artwork more. She decided to grab a mug of hot chocolate, whip up a quick serving of chocolate chip pancakes, and do just that, whilst listening to the rhythmic melody that the rain carefully orchestrated and danced to - accompanied by the rolling thunder's dramatic percussions, and the lightning's bright, animated flare - on that lovely day. After taking a final look at her finished creation, and seemingly satisfied with it, she nodded resolutely, a pleased smile on her face. Taking one last glance at the rain that was gently tapping against the window, she finally flipped her sketchbook shut. She placed it on her nightstand, then yawned and stretched before looking at the time: 7:05 AM. She needed to get ready for work. She groaned lightly as she finally got out of bed, taking one final glance at her sketchbook. Oh, how she wished she could stay in bed all day, snuggled up with the two pups whilst she drew and watched TV, listened to music, or even just sat back and could listen to the lovely rain. But, alas, her need for a paycheck was calling, and it reminded her that she, indeed, could not do that, today. Just the weekend, and then she'd have Monday through Wednesday off. Motivating herself further to just make it through those couple of days of work, she finished the last bite of her food, and the last couple of drinks of her cocoa, then reluctantly headed to her dresser. Hearing this, the little Corgi and Parti-Yorkie duo lifted their little heads, ears perked, and stared at the girl, simultaneously tilting their heads to the side out of curiosity. As she headed over to her closet, the little pups stood up, jumped off of the bed, and trotted after her, following like the little shadows they constantly loved to be. She smiled as she bent down to gently pat the puppies' heads, then proceeded to grab her work-appropriate clothes, choosing to go with an elegant-looking, yet warm and light, cream sweater dress, complete with caramel-colored tights, a pair of cream kitten heels, and some jewelry: a sterling silver and pearl earring and necklace set, complete with dainty, sparkling diamonds above the pearl pendant and earrings. They were a gift from her parents; so, despite the monetary value, the artistic girl valued and treasured these for the sentimental value, above all else. She then headed to the bathroom, where she took a somewhat long shower - about thirty-five minutes or so - then got dressed, dried and styled her hair into large, silky curls, and did her makeup. With that, she then went to her room, grabbed her purse and her phone, and went downstairs. She fed Cookie and Lapiz, and then headed out the door. She got into her car, and drove off to work. As soon as she arrived, several minutes early, she clocked in to work, greeted Michael and Aurelia - along with some of her coworkers that she had passed - and started getting the tea, watercress sandwiches, and various other little sandwiches, desserts, and finger foods together and ready for the day. It was 8:00 AM, and Victoria's Tea Palace was officially open for the day.

Re: I Love You A Latte § v.3 § Open & Accepting!

Isabella "Izzy" Moretti
Age: 24| Occupation: Founder & CEO of *Moretti Couture* /Barista & Freelance Photographer | Tags: open
The steady drizzle of rain fell softly around Isabella Moretti as she walked through the quiet, wet streets of the city. The clouds had swallowed up the sun hours ago, leaving the world washed in shades of grey. Her boots splashed lightly in the puddles, the rhythmic sound of the rain the only noise cutting through the stillness.

She’d been running nonstop for weeks—endless meetings, photoshoots, and deadlines for *Moretti Couture*. Everyone saw the glamorous side of her life: the success, the effortless grace, the polished perfection. But as she walked through the nearly empty streets, the pressure she’d carried all day began to melt away, drowned out by the soothing patter of the rain.

Izzy pulled her jacket tighter around her shoulders, feeling the cold droplets mix with the heat of the day that still lingered in the air. There was something calming about being outside in the rain, away from the rigid expectations of the world. The city felt different in the wet, misty night—more raw, more real—like a place where she could just breathe.

She paused under a small awning, watching the rain fall in gentle sheets, blurring the distant lights of the city. Her fingers twitched for the camera she’d left behind, a reminder that even in the quiet moments, there were stories to be captured, even if only for herself. She’d built *Moretti Couture* from scratch, and while it had taken her to the heights of success, it had also made her feel distant from who she truly was.

Taking a deep breath, Izzy let the cool air fill her lungs, the rain trickling down her face like a cleansing. Here, with no one watching, no one expecting anything, the weight of her carefully constructed life felt lighter. For once, the image she projected seemed irrelevant.

Just for tonight, it was just her and the city, wrapped in the soft hum of the rain. And that felt... almost like enough.

Mei Lin
Age: 22 | Occupation: Mentor/ Tutor
The sound of rain against the pavement, soft and steady, filled the air as Mei Lin stepped outside, her umbrella shielding her from the gentle downpour. The streets, glistening with fresh rain, reflected the soft hues of the early morning sky. She pulled her coat a little tighter around her shoulders, feeling the comforting weight of the fabric against the cool breeze. The rhythmic patter of the rain seemed to echo the steady beat of her heart, calming yet constant.

Her long black hair, tied neatly in a low bun, didn’t stir in the breeze, its serene elegance matching her own quiet composure. She walked with a fluid grace, each step deliberate, as if the world around her moved in a slow, peaceful dance. The quiet buzz of the city felt distant, softened by the rain, and in its hush, Mei Lin found solace.

Starbucks was just ahead, its warm glow inviting her inside. As she entered, the rich scent of coffee and cinnamon filled the air, blending perfectly with the calming aroma of wet earth. Mei Lin stood for a moment, closing her eyes and taking a slow breath, allowing the peacefulness of the rain and the warmth of the coffee shop to settle within her. She didn’t come here often, but when the rain fell like this, it felt like a gentle invitation to pause, to reflect.

As she approached the counter, the barista greeted her with a smile, and Mei Lin returned it with a soft nod, her gaze drifting toward the window. The world outside seemed quieter, almost sacred. She ordered her usual—a simple matcha latte—and waited, feeling the ebb and flow of the world around her, both a part of it and somehow removed.

A quiet peace settled over her, one that only the rain seemed to offer.

Caden Sweet
Age: 23| Occupation: Barista / Aspiring Entertainer| |Location: Starbucks| Tags: Open
The cafe was buzzing with the usual mix of chatter and clinking cups, the hum of espresso machines filling the background. Caden Sweet stood behind the counter, his apron slightly askew, his beanie perched lazily atop his messy caramel hair. He was humming to a song that only he seemed to know, bouncing around the small space with an easy rhythm, greeting customers with exaggerated enthusiasm and a big, goofy grin.

Lucas "Luke" Montgomery
Age: 24| Occupation: Barista & Mechanic| Tags: open
The garage was quiet except for the rhythmic hum of the Mustang’s engine as Luke worked under its hood, adjusting the carburetor with precise, careful movements. His leather jacket hung on a hook nearby, the faint smell of motor oil lingering in the air. The sunlight filtered through the small window above, casting a golden glow over the scene, but it was a fleeting warmth—soon, the cold of the evening would creep in, and he'd have to face the reality of a long night alone.

He didn’t mind it much; the solitude had always been his refuge. The clang of tools against metal, the soft hiss of the engine as he fine-tuned the adjustments—this was his peace. He was used to being alone, had been since he moved out of his family’s place. It had always been about the work, the small victories with each project.

The Mustang roared to life with a low, powerful growl, its engine smooth as butter. Luke leaned back, wiping his hands on his worn rag, eyes narrowing as he listened to the hum. There was satisfaction in a job well done, a momentary peace in knowing that he'd brought something back to life.

He glanced around the garage. Diesel, his black cat, had settled into a sunbeam near the back of the room, curled up and content. The faint sound of distant traffic echoed in the background, but it wasn’t enough to break the calm of the space. It wasn’t often Luke had moments like this—where everything clicked, and the noise of the outside world seemed to vanish for a while.

A few empty coffee cups sat on the workbench from earlier, but he didn’t mind. His life wasn’t about perfection. It was about doing what needed to be done, even if it meant getting his hands dirty.

With a soft sigh, Luke moved over to the bench and grabbed the next tool he needed, eyes already flicking to the next task. Another project, another night of solitude. But that was alright. It always was.

Seojun - 2 § Nathaniel - 1

Postby Corgi Fox <3 » Sun Jan 26, 2025 11:08 pm

Seojun Park § The Mocha
Location: Starbucks
Tags: Caden(?), Mei Lin
As Seojun entered the familiar franchise, the scent of freshly ground coffee instantly filled his lungs. The scent, in itself, was oddly yet warmly comforting, familiar - much like the scent of petrichor from the rain always was to him, as well. He hadn't been in town for a terribly long time, but this Starbucks location, for some reason, somewhat reminded him of some of the smaller coffee shops and Starbucks locations in Korea. It wasn't too big, but also wasn't tiny - it was a decent size, and he liked that it didn't feel too spacious or cramped. Decorated in rich hues of dark green and chocolate/mocha browns that blended well together, and paired with quiet café music in the background, it made for a rather cozy environment that one could get lost in for a while to escape the everyday stresses of life. It would make for a perfect start to his morning.
Seojun glanced up at the menu to finally determine what exactly he would order, as he patiently waited in line, behind a woman whose raven black hair was done up rather tidily in a bun. After she had ordered and stepped aside, he walked up to the counter, as soon as it was his turn. "Good morning," he politely greeted the light brown-haired barista who was taking his order, then continued, "Could I please get a venti caffé mocha, and a double-smoked bacon, cheddar, and egg sandwich?" After he finished placing his order, he then thanked the barista, paid, and then stepped aside so that the next person in line could place their order. As he moved past the girl whom he had been standing behind in line, he offered her a polite smile and slight nod, before moving towards the counter where customers were to retrieve their orders from. He leaned against the wall adjacent to it, and tilted his head back slightly to look up towards the ceiling, which appeared to be carved in intricate designs out of a deep, rich mahogany wood.
He left out a soft, contented sigh, relieved to finally almost be done with unpacking, and stuck his hands in his pockets as he waited - just then, his brow instantly furrowed. Glancing down and feeling around in his pockets, he realized that something was different - he had his phone and wallet, but his keys were, surprisingly, missing. "Jenjang (dang it)," he muttered under his breath as he checked his other pockets to make sure that he hadn't just misplaced them. But they were nowhere to be found. Glancing around the small coffee shop, he knew they probably couldn't have gone far, considering the fact that he had literally just had them, several minutes ago. He lightly pushed himself away from the wall, and started looking around - whilst doing his best to not got in anyone's way - for the missing keys. As he was trying to head back up to the front counter to see if he had left them there by mistake, he accidentally lightly bumped into someone. His gaze immediately fell on the black-haired girl, and he swiftly scooted away to put some space between them. "Joesonghabnida - er - I mean, I'm sorry," he apologized, quickly correcting himself when he realized that he had gotten just flustered enough that he had begun speaking in Korean, by accident. It was something he was still most certainly getting used to, especially since he obviously still spoke to his family, and sometimes his friends, in his native tongue, rather than in English. While he was very much fluent in both languages, it was naturally just force of habit to default to Korean. He rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment, and then went on to explain, "I lost my keys, so I was trying to see if I had left them up at the counter..." His voice trailed off as his gaze fell over to the counter - but the keys were still nowhere to be seen. "...Ah. I guess not," he mused, almost as if he was thinking out loud. That's just great, he thought to himself as a sigh escaped his mouth. Glancing back over at the girl, he figured it couldn't hurt to ask. "I hate to ask, but have you seen them, by chance?" he asked, hoping that perhaps she - or someone - would at least know their whereabouts, and would be able to return them to him. Otherwise, he'd have to walk home - and figuring out how to get back in to his house would be another ordeal.

When he got into work, he started prepping for customers. After a lot of cleaning, it was 8:00 AM, already; opening time, and customers started trickling their way in to the little coffee shop.
