five years ago, a team of revolutionaries known as the Killjoys
escaped the clutches of megacorporation Better Living Industries, taking with them a
young girl thought to be one of the most important children alive.
after faking their deaths during what was thought to be a suicide mission against
BLI/nd, the Killjoys escaped, living on the fringes of the outer desert Zones with
high hopes of finding a new hope of civilization within the clouds of faded ash and dust.

however, returning to the Zones isn't quite what it seems, and not everything is
the same. no longer top dogs, the Killjoys soon find that the Zones they once ruled
as kings are in the midst of a turf war between an unruly group of bandits, an
underground spy network and an ex Battery City ritalin mob. whatever happened
to the old Zones?

within the Zones, there are no specific rules on
survival; be who you wanna be, do what you wanna do, and ignore
what the system tells you. but be warned - if you dare try sell anyone
out to the big whites at BL/ind? you better be a good runner.

x - don't do anything that doesn't abide with cs's roleplay rules. this
includes the general fading to black romance, no intense gore, no
underage drug usage etc. which should be fairly standard.

x - as this is in the semi-lit board, the usage of correct grammar,
spelling and punctuation is expected, save for stylized typing which
may involve no caps etc. the minimum per post expected is between
1 to 3 paragraphs, however i'll be very lax and will let you decide what
counts as a paragraph.

x - as i really don't want this to end up as a sluggish starting roleplay,
this will loosely follow the canon within the music videos and will be
in the same universe as the true lives of the amazing killjoys comics,
however as some people are not familiar with/do not like the comics
or the storylines with the girl, this will not include the girl directly
or as a character. see her as more of an npc or previous character.

x - you can have 1 main character and have up to 3 side or non-
canon roles. try to keep genders/sexes/races/sexualities even, and
don't be afraid to play around slightly with some unmentioned things
like pasts or sexualities with any main canon characters, like the
killjoys. don't be afraid to play around and use different gifs/eras
from the ones i picked if your character is a non-canon main role,
however i would prefer if you didn't use a picture from, say, an
era in 2008 when the gif is from 2014. how you characterize them
is up to you, and you're free to change their aliases to however you
wish in your form itself.

the charming, charismatic leader of the feared
Killjoys, party poison is a name known throughout
the Zones for reasons both good and bad. not only
the only person gutsy enough to wear that shade of
red, party is one of the only Killjoys to escape a full
blown BL/ind attack and live to tell the tale.. sort
of. carefree and independent, party is a friend to
all... right?

to refer to mad gear as strange would be a huge
understatement; the often erratic, anxious and
unpredictable leader of the underground spy
network known as the clique is a force to be
reckoned with if you get on his bad side. if
he's not helping to find out BL/ind's secrets,
mad gear can actually be found making music
alongside his best friend, confidant and second
in command, missile kid.

a sharp contrast to his closest friend
and superior, missile kid is a very laid back and
easygoing person. known to go with the flow in
most situations, it's pretty hard to make missile
kid mad - unless you insult his music or his best
friend, he's a friend to everyone. when he's not
trying to destroy the tyrant mega-corporation
BL/ind, he drums alongside mad gear.

the clique known and feared for their snippy
attitude and.. unconventional methods of
gaining information. they seem very sure
of themself and claim that they're apart
of the clique for only the greater good,
but secretly they're dying for approval
from mad gear or missile kid.

although they're one of the top agents within
the clique, would rather be hanging out with
the ritalin rats or chasing after destroya with
the believers than digging up old dirt on BL.
however, after being trusted with a top
secret mission right from mad gear, they're
forced to gain a new outlook.. and fast
