Life has become a series of motions.
Ashirah perched on the balcony of her current squat; one of the many abandoned buildings in Akihabara. The sun rose above the horizon at twelve times the speed of its counterpart, Sol. Ashirah crossed her right leg over her left knee and waisted her arms parallel with the ground, her middle fingers touching her thumbs. This was her meditation pose, something she learned back on Earth. She didn't know where it came from or if it was a real pose. Still, it seemed right to use. On Earth, Phoebe could never balance this well. Here, Ashirah could stand for hours. Sometimes she did.
Life in Yliss had settled down. The early days were full of PKs, screaming, careless hunting in high-level areas, and uncertainty. Ashirah spent the first few days inside the same abandoned building she lives in now. Finally her stomach made her leave to purchase more tasteless food. She ended up buying as many ingredients she could from the People of the Land. They have limited stock now--something they didn't have in the days of Elder Tale.
The sun rose high in the sky. The sky was now blue with no remains of red or orange. Ashirah dropped her hands to her sides and hopped off the balcony ledge. She walked inside and picked up her Magic Bag. She doesn't know why she bothers with this Sun-ritual. It means nothing to her--to Phoebe. She has no use for it. It's just another motion to distract her from her thoughts.
Ashirah spent nearly all her money on those alchemical ingredients the first day. Her days after that have been ocuppied with slaying monsters and selling items to earn it back. She had to reach the fields outside the city before the larger guilds if she wanted any territory for herself. It was much harder now as a solo player.
Ashirah slung slung her bag over her shoulder and hopped down the stairs. If there was a silver lining to this world, it was her new body. Movement was a breeze. Her character's Dexterity stat effected out of battle movement as well. She moved like a cat: quiet and graceful.
Ashirah stepped out into the gloomy streets and headed towards the gates.
