The Winning Team

Two barns have been rivals since before they came under their current owners. No one even knows how it started anymore. Now the time has come for the riders to prove who the best is once and for all. This summer is the time for a tournament. Many events will be held at the local show grounds.

Forum Rules

• No godmodding.
• No perfect characters, please. I want to see each horse and person with flaws.
• When competing, there are rarely perfect rides. We all mess up, and constantly.
• Each character may have 1-4 horses.
• Each person may have 1 or more characters.
• Please don't neglect your horse. Don't forget about them when our charries get caught up in all the drama!
• Keep The Barns equal
• Make at least a boy for every girl you make
• I will play owners/ trainers as needed
• Do not have your characters at the other barn between rounds
• This is in a made up town in Kentucky called Black
• The Role play starts just after school got out for the summer.
• I control time/weather check first page for that info
• Start your posts like mine
• Winners will be pick by random draw
• This role play is semi- li. we have no limit to the post length. The length of the post should reflect the situation your character is in. If the situation calls for one line, by all means, post only one line. Just don't do it all the time. Please don't post novels, but remember that this is a semi lit role-play.

Red Dawn Stables

Red Dawn Stables, is owned by Dawn Hill and her soon to be husband Tom Leson. It has been in the Hill family for around 4o years. The stable colors are Red and Orange. They breed and train only English horses.

Pros

• Good English Horses and Trainers
• Clean and Large. Roomy Stalls and Felids
• Horses are very well cared for
• Many kids go to this stable, more friends for younger riders
• Nice, sturdy tack available for all riders and clients
• A Many level cross country course
• Barn wide group lessons on Fridays

Cons

• Few Western Training Places
• Private Lesson are an extra fee
• Not many stablehands work here, so sometimes getting horses ready can be a little slow
• Very competitive, losing means being scolded and/ or yelled at
• Trainers don't have very personal relationship with clients and riders

Stable Rules

• Be kind
• Have fun
• No coming to the barn after 9 p.m and before 6
• No Fighting
• Ask before riding out or on to the courses at least let someone know
• No Drinking or smoking
• Horses Grain Rations need to be posted on the white bored
• No PDA (Public displays of Affection)

River Leaper Farms

River Leaper Farms, is owned by The Woodhaven Family, Dad Andrew, Mom Sara, Daughter Lucy (My Person), and 12 year old twins (Open most be filled to start, Their birthday is July 12). They have lived her for 13 year now. The Farm colors are Dark Purple and Lime Green. They train well rounded horses.

Pros

• They have horses for everything as well as trainers
• The Stall’s are roomy
• Tons of trails and rings
• As well as round pens.
• A few fast grooms makes life easy

Cons

• The riders are mostly teens between 14-18 so less friends for younger riders
• The Turnout is limited
• The trainers give costly lessons same price private or group.

• Grain Rations are to be posted on horses stall doors

Lucy walked down the aisle of the main barn she had been awake since before dawn. She had fed and watered each horse with the twins and her parents. Then she had helped to turn out the horses on day turnout. She didn’t know why her parents had called such an early meeting. She hoped it was to talk about the summer shows. After last year nothing could be any better than showing her horses again. She stepped into the office coaches lined the two walls and a desk the side with the window. Her parents sat at the desk waiting. She flopped down on the right side of the room. On the wall’s hung photo’s and ribbon’s in a case behind the desk was trophy’s.

Kyler slipped into the barn he was running late that morning. His track hadn’t started and he had had to borrow a jumper cable to jump it. When he had gotten to the barn he had had to check on his horses then call the auto shop to make an appointment to get his truck looked at. Now he hurried to the office for the meeting he had no idea way they had called a barn wide meeting this early in the day. Kyler entered the office. Lucy and Her parent’s where already sited there. Kyler study the trophy case without speaking a word. A onetime Kyler and Lucy would have been talking none stop but that was before his fall. Loosing Ace had taken away the boy’s want to race and his love of people.

C.J led Dagger down the aisle way of the Red Dawn Barn. He liked to do the work himself when he had time an extra few minutes with Dagger here and there was nice since he had Shield, Cloak and Bracken as well as the two year old. The colt did lots of tricks for the limited time C.J sometime had for him.
C.J led the colt out into the breeze now. He opened the latch on the nearest pasture. He had a meeting to get too in the club room. He slipped the colt’s halter and led off. The colt wait for C.J to give him the go away verbal cue.
“Go.” He pointed away from himself.
The colt took that as a sign and trotted away. C.J hurried out of the pasture and up to the barn. He walked into the club room. He could see the trainers and owners behind the door that lead to the office. C.J picked a seat near the desk.

Sharon jumped out of her mom’s van nosily witch spooked a few pastured horses, “See you later.” She called. She walked into the barn in a large hurry. She didn’t even stop to say hello to her ponies in the front pasture. She was running late and they had called a meeting. In the aisle she was stopped by a barn cat rubbing on her legs.
“Stop It.” She barked to the cat.
Sharon entered the club room it was still nearly empty but there was few rider’s at Red Dawn right then. She sat down across for C.J.

Aiyana stepped out of her nanny's 1987 Chevy Blazer, waved good-bye as the car took off and walked to Set in Stone's stall, gave him a slice of an apple which Aiyana stole from her kitchen. She rubbed his nose for a good minute and went to the club room for the meeting and sat away from most of the people that had already arrived before her. Aiyana was still half asleep as per usual, all she wanted to do was go on a calm ride on Set in Stone then maybe practice Cross Country for a few hours. Aiyana felt her phone buzz, apparently she had it on vibrate and not silent, Aiyana held down the power off button so it wouldn't bug her no more, it was probably just her nanny or father.

Vic was Atalanta checking her over encase she had injured herself over night, Vic had to struggle to check her hooves due to her being stubborn, though she normally isn't. Vic finished checking over Atalanta which she was fine and made his way to the meeting and sat down a few seats away from Kyler. Victor's braid was already a mess from Atalanta trying to nibble on it, though Victor didn't want to pull out the hair-tie and re-braid it, he thought it might make the people around stare at him as the kids in class did; though the kids in his class always stared at him.

Chrissy pulled up a chair in the office. She had been at the barn since almost three in the morning trying to get Domino situated in his new stall. With a meeting this early in the day, it better have been important. Chrissy hoped that it was to talk about the summer shows. She had brought home six blue ribbons from Pearl and Domino and she was aiming for ten the next time they went to a show.
