from a young age riley's mother-figure was a slight shadow. she had never known her father and her mother went AWOL, drinking. her older brother was also in bad business, and it's been years since she's heard anything. being sent off to a boarding school, she tuned herself off of the radar and disappeared entirely. she came back a few years later, angry and unrelenting. a fluke accident warped her life forever. she was desperate for jobs and money, and soon after her career launched, finding s.h.i.e.l.d. through that time, riley became easy to set off. she's very unpredictable and somewhat blunt but what can be expected of the girl? riley's bitter nature affects the world around her, but she's often hiding under a smiley façade, for her leg was rendered useless and she depends on crutches most of the time. she tries to see the bright side of things but that never turns out as planned. her outlook is sarcastic and she's often thinking about a smart-ass remark. despite her overly-angry demeanor, she's intelligent (and her ego can proceed her). it's a bonus if she likes you, for she's quicker to help - of course she will throw a few remarks, but she thinks of it to be in good fun.
