The Bewilderbeasts are the biggest of all dragon kinds known in Berk, even the large Red Death. They have never been abundant in numbers, but it is unclear whether their populations are small by nature or if they are endangered. They are flightless and have a low shot limit as well. They are flightless and have a low shot limit. They are truly the king of dragons and are currently the most powerful dragon. They can force or enslave the other dragons against their will.

The Boneknapper is a species of dragon thought to be mythical by Vikings due to its rare nature. As its name may suggest, the Boneknapper spends its time scouring the land for pieces of bones in order to create the perfect armor for its body. Sometimes, this bone armor can be essential for the dragon to perform basic actions, such as roaring. The Boneknapper will often go to extreme lengths to find the bones it seeks, hunting down the fragments for years. However, the dragon does have a docile side to its nature as well.

The Changewing has large wings on its back, horns on its face and an antennae-like appendage on top of each of its eyes. This gives the Changewing an unique appearance. With two of their well-known abilities, Changewings are possibly one of the most dangerous and effective hunters to Vikings. They usually hunt like a pack of wolves, or a pride of lions. The Changewing's most known ability is to change the colors and textures of its scales to that of its surroundings, creating an invisible-like effect.

The Deadly Nadder is a species of dragons, said to be one of the most beautiful and very fast. They are well known for their poisonous and painful spines, and extremely hot fire that can melt metal or rock easily. It is bipedal and possesses winged forelimbs and it is about the same size as medium sized theropod dinosaurs. The Deadly Nadder is very fast and dangerous, though its potency as a hunter is hindered by the blind spot directly above its nose. As a result, the dragon relies on its keen sense of smell and hearing in order to find its prey.

A near cousin to the Sand Wraith that likely migrated to the desert centuries ago in search for food and mates. In terms of appearance, the Desert Wraith looks exactly like the Sand Wraith. The Desert Wraith, like the Sand Wraith, dwell in the hot deserts and under the sand. However, its scales are pink with black stripes. These dragons usually don't like to stay in the nest but two have decided it was time to find a rider. Not much is really known about this species so humans are learning many things from the two that are currently in the nest.

The Fireworm is like the cockroach of the dragon world, that is, if a cockroach could superheat its skin to burn everything it touched. It also has traits from bees in that they create gel that's stored in honeycomb-like structures and have a queen. These dragons are often found in large groups. This makes them extremely dangerous. They are even remotely aggressive, occasionally clinging to potential enemies. Usually Fireworms make their homes in dark caverns. Fireworm Queens are very protective of their firecombs of gel.

The Flightmare is among the rarest, smartest and powerful dragons. It is possibly the most frightning and terrifying dragon known. The Flightmare is a very aggressive and territorial dragon, being very protective of it's territory and food sources. Seeing how Flightmares are build for speed and defense, they usually avoid fights with bigger and stronger dragons. Flightmares are quite determined and willing to search for food over long distances. The Flightmare's body appears to get a bright glowing, ghost-like appearance by eating algae that shines brightly.

The Grapple Grounder is very fast, springy, and dangerous Boulder Class dragon. It is snake-like in appearance, with four long skinny legs and a long body. The Grounder is ready to fight any dragon it meets, and it seems that this dragon shoots pulse blasts similar to that of a Night Fury. Their main power is their body size. Although it can't dish out fast attacks in a short time, its magnificent speed takes from one attack to another quickly. It has more stamina and strength than Night Furies.

This arctic Boulder Class cousin of the Gronckle is cold blooded. With ice in his veins and liquid nitrogen fire, water actually freezes around him as he swims. The Groncicle looks like a muscular Gronckle, except that it has a longer body length, covered in snow and ice, as well as lacking a tail bludgeon. It looks like the Groncicle lives in snow or near snow. Nothing is really known about this super cold dragon. Due to their frozen bodies and icy blood, not many people can ride this dragon since it's so cold and uncomfortable. The Croncicle shoots liquid nitrogen.

The Gronckle is one of the toughest (and slowest) dragon in the dragon world, and more than lives up to its looks in the battlefield. They can be a slow, lazy, and cranky bulldog-like Dragon; it has been known to fall asleep mid-flight, waking only when it plunges into the sea or crashes into a mountain. They spend the majority of the day sleeping. It can hover like a humming bird. The Gronckle can launch a devastating fire attack but is limited to six shots at a time. Both its fire attack and hovering flight pattern makes it a very dangerous Dragon.

This impulsive and reckless member of the Sharp Class is a master at collecting wood, so long as its axe-like snout doesn't get stuck in the tree its cutting. Hackatoo eggs laid at a high altitude can hook on to whatever they hit. They have a very sharp snout to chop trees, a spiky tail and back, and also has six legs. Not much is really known about this sharp dragon, but it is seen as dangerous due to it's extremely sharp snout and spikes that can easily kill or injure a person. They are popular among lumber smiths because of their affinity towards chopping down trees.

The Hideous Zippleback is a large, two-headed dragon. It is sly and surprising, but certain noises can confuse it and cause it to entangle its heads. The dragon has two personalities and two minds, one in each head, and one often argues with the other head over what to do. Occasionally the dragon forgets that it is a two headed dragon, and one head tries to go one way, and the other head tries to go the other way, this can be problematic.

The Hobblegrunt has a single horn and and an expandable frill surrounding its head. It has clawed wings, small arms and big legs like a Deadly Nadder. It also appears to have long neck and tail as well. The Hobblegrunt doesn't have a particular color, but instead it changes color depending on its mood: Yellow is happy, purple is curious, and red is angry. They are able to change its colors like a chameleon, and this ability is similar to that of the Changewing. Instead of doing it for defensive purposes, it changes color depending on its mood.

Hotburples greatly resemble Gronckles, although they have larger body and wings, with their eyes positioned closer to the snout than to the ears. Like Gronckles, Hotburples are heavily armored and can fire lava blasts after digesting the metal ores that they eat. Their high strike power rivals that of the Night Fury, but they also appear to be more lazy and sleep often. While Gronckles like to eat any type of rocks, Hotburples prefer to eat ores of metal, such as iron. A Hotburple's teeth are thinner than a Gronckle's and seem to be a little bit sharper as well.

The Monstrous Nightmare is one of the most aggressive, powerful, and stubborn breeds of dragon known to Vikings. Before the Red Death was discovered, it was considered the most formidable dragon species. Unlike some other breeds of dragon, it has no forelegs, and its ground-based locomotion is similar to that of pterosaurs; it can use its claw-tipped wings to "crawl" along the floor. By nature, they are fearless and proud. They are some of the strongest dragons and know it.

It is one of the most powerful dragons and is the rarest dragon known. It was described as the "Unholy Offspring of Lightning and Death Itself". The Night Fury is the fastest, smartest, and rarest of the known species of dragons. It is small to medium-sized with a sleek, dark body with varying shades of a navy blue coloration. It sometimes appears bluish and has faint lighter patterns similar to that of a manta ray. Night Furies are generally quite aggressive to any form of threat they find, similar to how the other dragons treat the Vikings of Berk.

The Raincutter looks like the Scauldron, but it has sails on its back and head like the Speed Stinger. The Raincutter has aerodynamic fins that helps it fly more efficiently. These fins are also used for offense. The Raincutter's long neck enables it to pick up any grubs or worms in the dirt and mud. The Raincutter has a very sharp fin on its head, so it is possible that the Raincutter uses this fin against its prey to cut it in half. Raincutters love wet, rainy places. It brings up the worms and grubs from the ground for them to eat.

It does not actively hunt but it has its food delivered to it by other dragons in the nest. It will eat any dragon that does not bring sufficient food. They are savage, menacing, and controlling. The Red Death is the second biggest species after the Bewilderbeast. Not only with brutal destructive power, the queen of dragons has been shown to have an incredible speed and stamina in flight despite its tremendous size. The dragon also does not have a blind spot, due to having six sensitive eyes, and heavily relies on scent and hearing. They are also capable of enforcing smaller dragons to obey even against their wills like the Bewilderbeast.

The Screaming Death appears to be a heavily mutated, albino Whispering Death. It is white in color, has large red eyes, a longer and a more massive body, and larger tail than a normal Whispering Death. It also has three rows of teeth, but they are aligned differently than those of the Whispering Death, set in a chin reminiscent of a Red Death. They are relatively intelligent and learn from their mistakes. The Screaming Death is attracted to bright and intense light, unlike the Whispering Death.

Stormcutters are known for their large size and two pairs of wings. They are also intelligent, proud, and confident. They have owl mannerisms and a second set of wings under their main ones that can splay and become an 'X-wing'. They can rotate their heads 180 degrees. It also can create a tornado-like fire, coating itself to create a fire tornado jacket to defend if things get really tricky. When they walk they use their lower wings as forelegs while holding their upper wings against their sides. Having four wings allows for exceptional maneuverability.

The Skrill is an elusive, Strike Class dragon that is one of the most mysterious and formidable dragons. It is also one of the most powerful of dragons, being among the smartest, rarest and fastest dragons. It is very territorial, despite following stormy weather; Skrills do not breathe fire, instead they channel lightning down their metallic spines, firing it from their mouths in a show of destructive blasts. It seems to be almost as feared as the Night Fury, if not more feared.
