You've heard of Pandora right, Like from the movie Avatar? Well Xanorus Is kinda like Pandora, but instead of being inhabited by blue people and weird creatures it is inhabited by another human-like peoples and dragons. There are some other creatures on Xanorus but they aren't the main focus here. Dragons are the more important creature. They are respected, loved, cherished. Most live peacefully alongside the people that live there. They even form certain bonds with them that last forever and can never be broken. Sadly there are evil dragons and people on Xanorus, some even wanting to start a war but first they need the numbers, and they are gaining them. With every passing hour, an evil man named Darius and his dragon Sulphur gain more and more followers. Soon they plan to attack. So who's side will you join: The evil ones known as Mördarna or the good ones known as Styrka?

because no one is actually perfect. Also for the dragons, no
REALLY over powered dragons.

∙Power Limit
Dragons can have up to three powers; one big, two minor.
Humans can have two.

∙Grammar/Spelling
Okay we all know this is in the Lit/Semi-Lit section
so we should all know/have good spelling and grammar. I do
understand minors mistakes, just try to fix them if you see them.

∙Writing Length
I ask that you at least make one paragraph, about
five good sentences, five lines. Now if you change the font size
then there may be an exception for paragraph size.

∙Signatures
I can't stress this enough.. PLEASE turn signatures off.
There's a little setting when you view your account or go to account
settings that lets you turn your signature off for posts. I advise using
that so you won't have to turn it off every time you post.

∙Sexualities
ALL sexualities allowed her. I'd like it if not all characters
are not straight(human wise) because I like to make at least one
gay character and I hate for him to be alone. XD

∙Forms
Like I said, post them in the Form Thread. Also please
make your own. I don't have the time to make a form for
everyone and I wanna see how creative you all get. :3

∙Age
Human characters must be between eighteen to thirty-five
years old. If you ask me nicely and I feel you are worthy I may
allow you to have one that is under eighteen, which is rare as a
dragon rider.

Welcome, young traveler, to the world of Xanorus. Prepare for the adventure of a lifetime. Now, now, you might think that this is just like every other quest you've been on, but I assure you, this one is much different. Xanorus is unlike anything you've experienced before. A land of mystery, magic, and dragons. Yes! Aha, dragons! This beautiful planet is home to thousands of dragons and unique creatures, sure to fascinate even the most judgmental of critiques. Sadly, there are some people who abuse these rights, and others who use them for the greater good. Allow me to shine some light on the subject.

The humans that reside on Xanorus are a great deal more intriguing than the ones you’re used to seeing. They hold many animalistic qualities that are deemed genetic, hereditary. Bioluminescent eyes, pointy ears, feline-like tails, fangs, just to name a few. This makes for some truly interesting individuals. Of course, with this vast spectrum of outcomes, the humans have learned to accept the weird and different, to embrace that which is far from normal. However, the land’s people are divided into three respective governing groups. You have the Styrka, Mördarna, and the [rebels].
The Styrka reside in the mainland of [mainland]. With a very sophisticated education system and leading militant properties, they are a force to be reckoned with. [Insert geographical info here].
The Mördarna are quite frightening. They live in villages scattered around [continent/s], shrouded in magic. They are known for their advancements in necromancy, being able to revive fallen dragons and have them compete against their former riders. [Insert geographical info here].
[Rebels] are relatively peaceful, living far off from civilization in small communities. These communities can vary in population and size. These are dragon riders who have become angered by the restraint and morals of their former civilizations, thus breaking free and forming their own congregations. [Insert geographical info here.]

Another phenomenon native to Xanorus are the flora and fauna. From glowing mosses to six-legged lizards, we have everything! Some may look similar to earth-dwelling lifeforms, but act in clever new ways, adapting to the environment around them. [info info info info].

Now, for you part you've been waiting for. Dragons. They are a diverse group of organisms, a true marvel of mother nature. They also have quite the history behind them, if I might add. Long before humans began taming dragons, they were in a constant war. Greed and the unquenchable thirst for power soon tainted every dragon’s mind and before it was recognized, things began to slowly fall out of place. Forests burned, mountains crumbled, and ice caps melted. The world was coming to an end. Luckily, something was done. The Queen, Xanor’s largest and most ancient dragon, was awakened. With her strength and leadership, all the fighting came to a stop and balance was restored. New opportunities were recognized and humans began finding ways to benefit from using dragons. Sadly, this is where things began to spiral yet again.
The Mördarna formed from a dragon rebellion, led by Darius and his hulking undead dragon, Sulphur. Their mission is to take over Xanorus and use its resources for their own good. Word of a future attack has spread through the kingdom, causing the Styrka and some of the [rebel] groups to rally together, forming an army of highly trained combatants in preparation for what’s about to happen. So, whom shall you join? The heroic Styrka, or the formidable Mördarna?

[All people are able to have a dragon. Most of the higher ranks and warriors do have dragons. Dragons have the same rank as their rider does.]

-Leader-
The leader is exactly what you would expect it to be. They are the ones with almost complete and total control of the group they are in charge of. The leader is allowed to make any decision they see fit, within reason, and should be open to suggestions from others. The leader might also be the highest ranked but is not the only one that should be respected and listened to. In fact the group always, or at least usually, has a secondary leader who they take orders from. The leader consults the secondary leader when they are having problems or need help. The leader also usually tells the secondary leader what he/she wants and or needs to be done and the secondary leader takes over from there.

-Secondary Leader-
The secondary leader is the second highest ranking and is equally respected as the leader. They are the ones that usually carry out orders and give instructions to others that where given to him/her by the leader. In other words, the secondary leader could be considered as the one that does the "dirty work" rather than the leader him/herself. An important fact about the secondary leader is that if/when the current leader leaves, retires, dies, or for some reason can no longer be leader then they become the new leader. The secondary leader also takes on an apprentice, whom he/she trains to take his/her place if he/she were no longer secondary leader for some reason, whether is be they left, died, or became the new leader.

-Leader Apprentice-
The leader apprentice is one who isn't as respected as the leader or secondary leader, but he/she still has much more respect than most others. The leader apprentice's only job is to learn as much as possible from the secondary leader then take his/her place if/when he/she leaves, retires, dies, or becomes the new leader. There is also the possibility that the leader apprentice can become the leader if either both the leader and secondary leader leaves, dies, etc. or the secondary leader is deemed unfit to become leader by the majority of the group. In some cases the leader apprentice will not move up ranks if they do not have all of the required training or is also deemed unfit, in which case the group will vote on a new leader.

-Shaman-
The shaman are one of the other more respected members in the group. They usually have more respect than the leader apprentice. Their job is to care for any sick or injured member of the group, which is in fact the most important job, even more so than the leader's job though not by much. Most shaman possess some sort of magical property with which they use to help heal the sick or injured. Some may have no magical talent but are still just as useful. All shaman, whether they possess magical abilities or not, are all very skilled in the usage of herbs and other medical resources. Most are even able to perform a surgery, but will occasionally loose their patent because they aren't sure what to do or deem them incurable/unhealable.

-Lead Guard and Lead Warrior-
Both the lead guard and lead warrior have the utmost respect in their section and by the ones who take orders from and follow them; regular guards and warriors. They aren't as respected as the leader apprentice, but most under them respect them quite a bit, some even more than the leader apprentice and shaman. Their jobs are to lead the guards and warriors to help watch over and protect their group/kingdom. They are also in charge of punishments to anyone who acts out or commits some sort of crime.

-Guards and Warriors-
The guards and warriors are one of the lowest ranks but still get a great deal of respect. These people are those who are dedicated to giving their lives for others in order to protect them. Most are usually selfless and are some of the finest people in the group. Their job is to watch over and protect the rest of the group/kingdom and are made to swear an oath before being allowed to join. If the oath is broken then the punishments can be severe; anything from beatings to even death. Anyone is allowed to join as long as they are at least fifteen, though most don't actually see battle until they are around twenty, but until then they spend their time training and helping out everyone else when they need it.

-Members-
Members are literally someone withing the group that doesn't have a rank or a job. Most only join for support or protection, but if need be they will join the guard or the warriors. The majority of the members are also either elderly people, children, expecting/nursing mothers, or people with injuries that hinder them from working, but there are still some who are capable of working and fighting but are too scared or lazy to do so. The ones that are to lazy or scared to work or fight are made to help care for those that can't and even help out the people that do in some way.

-Loners/Outcasts-
These people are the ones who have either chosen to live a life of solitude or were exiled and forced to leave the kingdom/group and are the least respected. They are occasionally accepted back, but it is dependent on the reason they had been exiled or left. Some are never accepted back even if they are close to death. Majority of loners will likely have dragons, but most outcasts will not because most dragons will not accept a rider that has committed a crime and will likely use or abuse them and commit more crimes. Some evil dragons may accept them, but most will eventually end up killing them depending on how the human tries to treat them.

-Rebels-
The rebels are a group of people who were once loners or outcasts but have decided to form a group in order to survive. They groups usually do not abide by any of the kingdom rules and do as they please, though most try to avoid contact with other groups, especially the Styrka and Mördarna. A lot of these people won't have dragons because they sometimes try to use the dragons for fighting for shear amusement, though that is usually dependent on the ones running the little group.

-Undead-
The undead are the creepiest yet most unique out of all the rankings. These are majorly dragons, but sometimes people and other animals, who were once deceased but were revived by Necromancers. If they weren't in the state before revival, then their bodies usually begin to decay after they are revived, though they can still live on until the Necromancer either lets them rest or are killed. There aren't many undead, but the ones that are created are usually used for fighting purposes.

-Tamers-
Tamers are a special type of human, usually not within a group and is a loner, that is either unwilling or unable to befriend and ride a dragon yet they have developed the ability to befriend almost any other creature. They usually max at about three creatures that they can tame, but some have been known to tame up to five or six. These three creatures that they tame usually stay with the tamer for life unless the tamer either sends them away or they have done something severe that completely breaks the bond between the two. Now tamers are also able to form bonds with other creatures, but not as deep as a human with a dragon. Their bond can only get up to level two and no higher.

-The Queen-
The Queen is the most respected of all the ranks. She is the ruler and "mother" of all dragons. She is the largest and most ancient dragon on the planet. This massive and powerful dragon is roughly the same age as the planet. One would not see this dragon roaming around the planet for she has buried herself deep withing the planet where she has been dormant for many centuries.

~Human-Dragon Bonds~

Human-Dragon bonds are the
bonds between a humans and their
dragon. The bond depends how long
they have been with their dragon,
how they treat each other, and how
much they like each other. The first
of the bond is "Acquaintanceship"
which should be self-explanatory.
The second level is basic friendship.
Third level is where the two start
getting really close, so close in fact
that they can hear each other's
thoughts. The forth level is the more
dangerous yet is the second strongest
bond; not only can the tear hear each
other's thoughts, but they can now
feel each other's pain. The fifth and
final level is the deepest and rarest
bond one can achieve, it is also the
most dangerous; The two can do the
same as the last two levels, but it is
also more extreme. In the last level,
if one of the two were to die, then it
is very likely that the other will die
with him/her even if they were
perfectly healthy.

[Most dragons consist of at least one of these. They are the basic energies that flow throughout the universe and exist in practically every being. Some more prevalent than others.]

Aer [Air] - Typically classified by swift movement and ability to fly.
Powers can include:
Creating strong winds, recorded at 102-349 mph.
Summoning a vortex via their mouth/body.

Aqua [Water] - Usually water dwellers or based near a large body of water or swamp.
Powers can include:
Spontaneous jets of water from their mouth.
Ability to “pull” on a body of water’s energy and summon giant waves.
Controlling the direction of the rain.

Ignis [Fire] - Considered the most violent of dragons. Usually temperamental and quick to anger.
Powers can include:
Forcing energy upon a certain area, eventually creating a fire.
Sparking a gaseous body inside their body and a blaze erupting from their throat.
Covering their body in a veil of flames. This is also known to quickly drain one’s energy.

Terra [Earth] - Large and bulky, seem to love caves and have a strange affinity towards gems.
Powers can include:
The movements of large landmasses.
Shooting boulders from their throat.
And strangely, forcing geysers to erupt through the ground.

Gelum [Ice] - Most of the time found near the Northern and Southern Poles of Xanorus.
Powers can include:
Shooting devastatingly powerful ice shards.
Creating frosty winds by making the surrounding area cold and blasting it with their wings.

Tempestas [Storms] - The roar of these dragons is said to be heard for miles.
Powers can include:
Thundering roars that can potentially stun enemies.
Shocking anything that dares to touch them.

Venenum [Venom/Poison] - Revered as some of the smallest, yet most dangerous.
Powers can include:
A highly venomous bite.
Spitting globs of acidic mucus.
Poisoning enemies when they touch your skin.

Herba [Plants] - Usually very defensive when it comes to the destruction of nature.
Powers can include:
Growing giant, carnivorous plants to fight for the dragon.
Trapping an enemy onto the ground via a set of thorny vines.

Tutamen [Armor] - Bad fliers due to their incredibly thick armor.
Powers can include:
Creating an elemental armor depending on said dragon’s element.

Paranormal Elements
[Elements that are rarely found in dragons, some of which are among the strongest.]

Lux [Light] Godlike; a force to be reckoned with. Powers remain undocumented, as only one has been encountered according to Xanorus history.

Tenebrae [Dark] - Newly discovered type of dragon. Some powers still yet to be discovered.
Powers can include:
The ability to hide within shadows[which is why they were only recently discovered].
They are able to "capture" enemies with their power, which actually puts them to sleep but gives them terrible nightmares, though usually takes up quite a large sum of energy.

Exanimis [Undead] - Summoned by the ; a reanimated, formerly dead, dragon.
- These will always consist of their former elements and hold no significant powers!

Spiritus [Ghost] - Incredibly rare. Only seen in a few cases of “Undead” dragons.
Powers can include:
Possessing enemies [often unsuccessfully] for a short period of time, as it does drain energy.
Disappearing into vapor.

Infernus [Nether] - Unforgiving and relentless. Bloodthirsty and kill anything in sight.
Powers can include:
Undocumented.

Note: There is still a bit of work to do, but it is pretty much ready to be opened. Just a few minor things to be added/changed. But anyway, join away! Also the RP will start when we have relatively equal genders, relatively equal amount of people on both good and evil sides, and at least five to six members not including myself and/or my co-owner(may reduce some).

By the way, Darius and his dragon Sulphur are both playable characters, so feel free to make a form for them! If multiple people make one, I'll decide which one seems to fit them the best. Also you don't have to make both dragon and human. One person can be the dragon while another is a human. :3
