Have you ever wondered where all those legends about magnificent, mythical creatures came from? Yeah, haven't we all, it's in human nature, to tell stories, some are used to scare children into being good, others to inspire people and others are told to give people hope in a dark and dangerous world. It all depends on the story doesn't it? But what if these so called stories came from the truth, what if once these creatures actually existed? What if they still survive in our world, but only just, these creatures have been hunted for years and now few remain.

Now only eight remain, Dragon, Pegasus, Quetzalcoatl, Gryphon, Manticore, Hippogriff, Phoenix and Roc, these creatures are all that remain of their species but what makes it worse? They have yet to hatch, eight eggs, on display in a museum for all to see, no-one thinking anything special of these eggs, donning them as fossilized eggs of an extinct creature and, in a way, they are correct. But what happens when eight kids, teenager, visit this museum with their school, eight kids who's destinies are inevitably entangled with these winged creatures? It appears that another tale, another legend is about to be written in our modern age, in our technology ridden age. How will these teens and their new found companions fare, especially when they are all being hunted from within? Two members of this group will betray them but who and why? I guess myths and legends do come true after all...

4. Only one character per person as spots are limited, if you wish to change anything about the character then ask, the only thing I will probably not change is the gender as I wish to keep them even.
5 Please PM me all reservations which will last 48 hours. Make your own forms, be sure to provide at least, name, gender, looks and personality for the companion as well as the human information.
6. If you have any major plot ideas then please share them with me!
7. When talking OOC please use parenthesis.
8. Please make your characters have flaws, no-one is perfect please remember that!

[Nocturnal Creatures]

Setting:
The roleplay will begin just as the teenagers enter the museum with their school, basically there are a couple of classes that have gone to this museum for a class trip. Most of them don't really know each other or pay much attention to each other but they all feel a great attraction towards the eight eggs which they see in the museum. While the trip has broken for lunch they all go, mostly on their own, to see the eggs again and they all meet up and decide to come back later to check it out. They each find their eggs and then their big journey begins.

They live in a small city in America, these eight teens all go to the same school but as I said earlier they don't really know each other that well. Surrounding the city there is quite a lot of wilderness which is where they are going to be keeping their mythical beasts. They are going to be trying to hide their new friends from others who they fear may try to hurt them, trap them or to preform tests on them.

It will take a while for the big main plot, where a couple of the group end up betraying them, to come out in full flush but it will hopefully happen that way.

Other key information, the teenagers can communicate with their mythical creature through a mental link which they share. Also after they first make contact with their eggs it will sear a mark into the palm of one of their hands;

The Dragon- A pale reddish scar on the right palm in the shape of a scale.
The Roc- A pale blue scar on the right palm in the shape of a crescent moon.
The Manticore- A dark coloured scar on the right palm in the shape of a tear drop, or a drop of any liquid.
The Hippogriff- A dark grey scar on the left palm in the shape of a simple scar across the hand, it's presence is more pronounced than the rest.
The Gryphon- A pinkish scar on the left palm in the shape of a feather.
The Phoenix- A dark orange scar on the right palm in the shape of a flame.
The Pegasus- A silvery white scar on the left palm in the shape of a star.
The Quetzalcoatl- A blueish scar on the right palm in the shape of an eye.

Other than the Hippogriff's these scars are not immediately noticeable to others however it would be advised that the teens have a way to hide their respective scars.

ℓσσкs; "So what do I look like? Well I have short dark brown hair that is almost shoulder length. I also have dark brown eyes with dark green and yellow flecks in them. I stand at around 5 feet 5 inches tall making me maybe a tad short but I don't care. I have a slightly muscular build and slightly tanned skin. In terms of tattoo's I have two which show off my rather nerdy side, on my upper right arm I have the Captain America shield tattooed with the phrase "I'm with you" under it and on my upper left arm I have the red Winter Soldier star with the words "Til the end of the line" under it. Yeah I'm a bit of a nerd. I don't have any piercings or major scars. Clothing wise I prefer darker colours, one of my signature items of clothing is a black leather jacket which I wear most of the time, I also like to wear a black scarf and a pair of black, fingerless, leather gloves. Other than that I am mostly seen in jeans and a t-shirt."

He has intelligent bright green eyes and his legs are those of an eagle and are a light grey colour with long black talons curving down from them. He has a rather large wing span and he is a masterful flier."

Basically I'm just not the best around people, I don't get along with them and I was quite often picked on in school for various reasons, sometimes for being too smart and other times for not being pretty enough. I learned at a young age how cruel people were. So yeah I don't trust people too easily and I don't often like them much either. I am also really witty and sarcastic, often using my dry sense of humour to hide my feelings or to try and ease up a tense situation. Basically I use it as a defense mechanism. I am also quite smart, especially about biology and animals but also about mythology, I have quite a broad knowledge of things basically. I prefer being on my own and reading a book than being out partying with people. I also love a lot of superhero films and other nerdy endeavors, if you hadn't gotten that from my tattoos. I also have a slight temper, getting annoyed with people easily. To some I appear cold and distant but it's just because I don't trust people. To those I am close to I am actually quite nice and I do enjoy a good adventure."

He is also very bold and sure of himself appear cocky at times but he is just a proud creature as the rest of his species always were. He can often appear aggressive and doesn't really like new people and takes a while to adjust to them and often makes judgement about new people as soon as he meets them. However he is still just a big kid and around those he knows and trusts he is incredibly playful and affectionate, he also enjoys a good practical joke at times."
нιsтσяy; "Well I moved to America from my hometown in Scotland, yeah I have a Scottish accent if you hadn't noticed that yet. I was about ten when we moved and my accent was another reason I was picked on. I live alone with my father, he and my mother split up when I was young, she took my younger brother and I chose to stay with my father. Other than that not much has happened in my past."

lonnie, or lon for short, is generally very calm. in all situations he can keep his emotion under control and tries to keep those around him in the same mindset. he is very trusting and loves to be around people and animals, and will talk to both given the chance. he was born into a family of seven, with four brothers, him being in the dead middle. he's used to blending in and generally doesn't try too hard to stand out. his family is considered middle class, and he is perfectly fine with it. he doesn't generally want to much out of anyone or anything. often times things do anger him, but he doesn't ever say too much about it. if you make him mad, there is a good chance he will stay like that for quite a while. break his trust, and he'll never trust you again. while he tries to see the best in people, and usually does, there are those times when he struggles. he has a softer spot for girls, and generally doesn't hang out with guys who are 'tough' or don't have the same ideas as him. he can be a little bit close-minded at times. his appearance is a lot like his personality; normal and doesn't stand out too much. jeans and a t-shirt make up the majority of his wardrobe and has no intention of ever changing. he is single and wouldn't mind a relationship, but doesn't want to get burned because he can be too trusting.

known for his intimidating size of a good five feet tall and from beak to tail over eight feet tall, cyrill is not one you can easily miss. being a gryphon, his coloring is like that of a lion from head to toe, save for a few white feather-tips and white-tipped tail, and is somewhat unique considering there aren't any to compare him to. he almost never utters any sound unless to warn lonnie. he tends to only like lonnie, but will trust anyone that he does. he is very affectionate when you get to know him but unless he or lonnie knows you he can be very defensive. he stands up for those that he likes and tends to have everyone's back if needed. he is slow to anger and usually lets go of things pretty fast, but he'll never truly trust you again. he likes being around other people but doesn't like huge crowds and is nervous around people he doesn't know. he prefers to be around people and dislikes being alone and sometimes this can make him a bit clingy.
