For centuries past there has been a violent and bloody battle between humans and dragons. In this empty battle every dragon that was killed meant an entire village would burn as penance. To avenge that the humans would kill yet another dragon and so on it would go. Generation after generation of humans were taught to hate and kill the winged creatures, they were told that the dragons were soulless creatures incapable of thinking of anything other than killing the innocent. Dragons were taught that humans were violent creatures, incapable of learning or understanding and so the battle continued without any end in sight.
After near a millennium of endless battles a peace meeting was called between the leaders of both the dragons and the humans, victory they realized would never come to either side and so they had decided to end the futile fighting and instead forge a peace that would last just as long. The Treaty of Ceret was signed, promising peace that would outlast the ages.
In the few months after the treaty was signed the humans discovered much about their hated foes, the dragons were discovered to be one of the most intelligent species on this earth, rivalling even humans. Dragons, through their magic have discovered the ability to shift into a human like form with one exception, their eyes for one are usually of an unnatural colour that matches the colour of their scales. In this human form the dragon cannot fly but they still poses their fire breathing ability. Most dragons have used this form to appear less threatening to the humans and to communicate their desire for peace.
A year after the treaty was signed, to mark the end of the battle between dragons and humans and to celebrate the beginning, a marriage was arranged between the two species. In three weeks, on the anniversary of the signing of the treaty, the second prince of the Kingdom of Asiali and the daughter of the Elder Clan of the dragons will be married as, not only a symbol, but a conformation that the peace so longed for by both sides has actually been established.
The daughter of the Elder Clan has arrived in the Capitol of Asiali and even though it has been a year since the treaty was signed, people still harbour hatred, fear, and distrust for the creatures that once burned their crops and slaughtered many of their people, and who are now among them living as ordinary beings. There are many who would do anything to prevent this marriage from taking place, many would even resort to murder. The peace is precariously balanced on the edge of war and if this marriage crumbles so will the foundation on which it stands.

Do more than that and I’ll be super happy! But if you don’t think you can write that much then please don’t submit a form. I am not a mean person and really don’t want to tell anyone that they can’t join but I will if I have to. Writers block is okay but don’t tell me that everyday.

➥ Being respectful to all the role-players is, I believe, one of the most important things. Please don't ignore other role-players when they ask for re-caps or if anyone's open; it's one of the worst feelings in the world to be ignored and I won't tolerate it here. When you are speaking in OCC please be respectful and polite to your other role-players.

Four hundred years ago the dragon clan of Portath was blessed with a child, a small dragon with silver scales by the name of Mira Portath. Her father, Ryuu Portath, was a great friend of the Elder clan but, he did not believe in the war with the humans; he thought that if the two leaders could just talk that it would become clear that this fight was a pointless one and that the only solution was peace. Ryuu taught his daughter to value all life, even those of the cockroaches that attempted to kill her kind day after day, he would have taught her a great deal more but forty years before the treaty was signed Ryuu was killed by a group of soldiers. They had mistook the black dragon for another that had recently burned an entire town, Ryuu had never once harmed a human being but that didn't stop them from taking his life. When Mira learnt of her father's fate, everything he had taught her was forgotten in her fury at the humans who had killed them. In her blind hatred Mira joined the battle against the humans, killing and burning just as her father had hoped she wouldn't.
For years after her father's murder Mira let her rage posses her, with her quick mind and her challenging nature Mira soon came to be one of the fiercest warriors in this bloody battle. She wouldn't stop, she couldn't stop for this was -as terrible as it was-her way of grieving for the loss of her father. It seemed that she would continue on in this way forever when something stopped her, actually someone, her mother finally stopped the madness and reminded Mira of what her father stood for and all the things that he had taught her. In this moment Mira realized with horror she had betrayed everything that her father had tried to teach her.
With this knowledge Mira left the battlefield behind in the pursuit of peace and redemption. Like her father she would speak to the Elder Clan hoping to convince them that this war was not the right path that these humans, these cockroaches were worth something. A year passed by before the Elder Clan actually listened to what she was saying and began trying to form a treaty with the humans. What came after that was the most difficult part of journey making peace with the humans, for five years Mira tried to settle on a treaty with the humans that both species could agree to, for weeks at a time Mira would spend in a human village arguing back and forth with generals, lords, and a few times The King himself. It was during this time, despite her age Mira proved that she could be intelligent, quick-witted, and decisive not only on the battle-field but in the council room.
Finally in Mira’s three-hundred and ninety-ninth year on this earth a treaty was signed between the elder clan and the royal family and while many celebrated the end of bloodshed between the two species there were those both human and dragon that protested such a treaty. Some among the humans viewed Mira as a treacherous snake who had wormed her way into the graces of the royal family and would someday betray honesty, while those among dragons viewed her as a cockroach lover not fit to call herself a dragon. Of course there were those who admired and appreciated all Mira had done to bring about the end of a centuries old war but all Mira sees is the work left to do to rebuild her fathers dream.
