this roleplay is based on the television program, the 100.
no one ever gave much thought to the long-term consequences of nuclear warfare. no one thought it would wipe out almost all of humanity. but it did. the only survivors are the residents of the twelve orbiting space stations and the descendants of the survivors on earth, called "the grounders". the twelve space stations united together after the war to form "the ark," and is the home of 2,400 people. any and all crime is punishable with death by floating [thrown into space to suffocation], unless the perpetrator is under the age of eighteen. this system was functional for a while, but now, the ark's oxygen supply is running out. the council has chosen to send a select one hundred of these teenage criminals back to earth to see if the planet is safe to be recolonized.

we all had different ideas of what earth would be like. some thought it would be paradise; vivid
and lush with flora and fauna. others thought it would still be poisonous, and believed that we would die
within a few minutes of landing. a few people thought that it would be unwelcoming and terrifying, flush
with unknown creatures and dangerous predators. everyone was a little bit right, but no one was comple-
tely.earth isn't our real home anymore - animals are distorted, their genetics mutated by the harsh radia-
tion that our ancestors left behind. some have two heads, or of an abnormal size, or unnatural body shapes.
there is plenty of food, but the task of getting that food poses as a great problem. not to mention, the
grounders aren't welcoming us with open arms. the ark didn't know that the earth was still populated by
humans. the grounders don't like us, and they have shown. they kill our people whenever they get a chance.
they are hard to see; they know the terrain of earth's jungles so well that they can hide in shadows of the
trees and pick us off, one by one. it is going to be a monumental achievement if we last for long.

only one there to know in-depth knowledge of medicine and
healing, because her mother is the chief medical officer at

did whatever her mother told her. her cousin, the fighter is
very different. she was sent to earth for black-market trading;
she was caught giving a peasant girl free medicine for her
sick father. before she got arrested, she was considered part
of the upperclass. she is friends with the thoughtful, and has a
crush on the rebel. she has known the prince her whole life.

found out her cousin got arrested, she caused a huge
fight and punched a lawkeeper.

work, and she shot him with his own gun. she enjoys the
company of the fighter and the rebel. she hates the tempest.

this boy was simply caught in the wrong place at the wrong
time. some radicals (including the rebel) were caught throw-
ing shards of metal at some guards, and he was caught up in
the hype of the moment, but wasn't fast enough to run away.
he is friends with the tempest; he is heavily irritated by the
brains, who can be a bit condescending at times.

his emotions, and so he exploded. he punched the
guard, and knocked a few more unconscious. he is

to be a bit of a flirt. the thoughtful is like his big brother.

sentenced him for murder. he is friends with the doctor,
finding her kindness comforting. he has his eye on the
tempest, but who doesn't?

contraptions. he was arrested for attempting to break
into the prison facility to see the brains, who was im-
prisoned. he is very sweet, really. he doesn't have a
crush, but tends to fall into deep infatuation very easily.
