It began with progress. . .

The circus. The wage is low, and the directors even lower. The only benefit the employees get out of it is to express their powers freely. To preform in front of the unassuming audience, and feel good about it. Something changed that satisfaction, and it was fear. One day, their powers began to develop, and improve. At first, the performers were ecstatic, enthusiastically accepting their change for the better. Their powers kept growing, but their experience fell behind them. They lost control, and reined havoc, and fear. It was then they decided to band together, and run away, to protect the public and find a solution to their powers, that were gradually overwhelming their senses.

And ended in distress. . .

The real picture. The show was getting stale, the people were getting bored and the money wasn't coming in. A circus manger, with experience in science, came up with a concoction that acted as a 'power enhancer'. It was accidentally distributed when it's formula was still under untested developments, and resulted in their current condition. Putting aside the blunder, the scientist continued his efforts until he created a perfected formula. Since their employees were unable to be tested due to their worsening conditions, the mad man managed to create a bizarre brew, that's purpose is to give an average human being, powers of each performer, (with the help of blood samples from each member) but still worse, enhanced powers of each performer.

They kidnapped an unfortunate young man, and preformed the experiment. Out of dumb luck, it worked. But instead of his powers being corrupted, it went to his mind. And ever so gradually he began to go mad with wicked intentions.

But there's more. . .

The youngest member of the performer, Noah, managed to steal the perfected formula, and without the files, the concoction cannot be recreated accurately. If the files were to get to the government, the circus's establishment would be shut down for illegal testing, and their money making scheme would plummet. Their newest member is a willing volunteer to find the runaways, and take back the files. The circus directors are reluctant to release him, but he goes, nothing human really being able to stop him. Some dark, peculiar, sense of hatred is driving him towards the performers, not the formula. It's origin is unknown, but it's driving him closer with each step.

All the while. . .

The performers are desperately trying to find a cure, an explanation and control themselves. Unaware of the nearing danger, Noah's steal and their limited time until their powers overwhelm and destroy them.

Can they work together as a team, ward off their powerful, oncoming foe, shut down the circus for their crimes, and find a cure to save themselves and others?

➤ Their powers are not out of control 24/7. Currently it's more of like, unpredictable spurts of instability. Below is a chart of the current level of instability and what the character is experiencing, also kinda gives you an idea of their personality.

Gayle: When flying, she gradually begins to let herself day dream, and the longer she's in the air the more she forgets her purpose/mission. Once brought back to the ground, reality sinks in and she remembers what's going on. When emotionally overwhelmed, she creates these whirl wind like attacks with the help of her wings.

Original power: Being able to fly without disturbance.

Icarus North: Although he is resistant to fire and cannot burn himself, when angry/confused, his fire balls become much more instable and larger in quantity. Once calmed down, it results to it's former stability.

Original power: Creating fire balls from the palm of his hand with ease.

Lyssa May Hartley: Unlike the majority of her companions where as their instability is based off of emotion and use of power, her instability is totally unpredictable. One moment she's fine, the other she's running around at full speeds until a couple of minutes has passed. She has no will over when she wants to go fast or not. She does, however have control of her direction.

Original power: To go at incredible speeds at will.

Noah: When turning invisible, unlike his original power properties, (below) people who know he's there can't see him. Although he can turn invisible at will, he can't turn visible at will.

Original power: He could go invisible at will, with the exception (a) said person expects him to be at said location (b) said person already knows he's there (c) He talks.

➤ One thing to also consider is that they've probably been in the circus together for a while now, so yes they know each other names, and all that, it really depends on the character/how long they've been there if they're friends/in a relationship, so I'll leave that up to you guys. (Make sure to have the other users consent if you plan to have a close friendship/relationship at the beginning of the roleplay)

Name: Noah

Position: #5

Personality: Noah is particularity quiet boy, but what he makes up for in silence is his constant observations and attention. He has an especially good memory, though ironically he fails to his finding known regardless of their significance. He's very cooperative in responding to authority and instructions, and typically doesn't question or go against directions. Despite what others may presume, Noah is not anti-social, and he thrives on the company of others, if not to talk to, just to be around.

Why did they join the circus?: It was the only home he ever knew, or remembered. Noah was found wondering aimlessly in an abounded street at three years old. He was found by a circus member, who discovered him when they were staying in town to perform the next day. With the intentions to take him to the authorities, they're ideas changed when they realized his special properties. Handed off to a young circus member for care, he has been apart of the circus and preforming since.

How long have they been preforming?: Seven years.

Other: Noah was put in Position #2's care at five years old and they've been close friends ever since.

Personality:
Most of the time he is the complete opposite of his ability, where fire burns and scalds he soothes, is kind and gentle. Where fire destroys all in it's path Icarus chooses to rebuild, to nurture, to help thrive. He is well liked by many, offering a hand, or a shoulder to whoever needs it. He may push at the rules a little as he doesn't like being ordered to do something, he prefers to offer himself and sometimes feels no man should bow down to another. But his refusals are always said in the politest way possible.
Why did they join the circus?:
His mother had an unsavoury past, he was born to her when she had no home, no money and no life. She lived of what she could scavenge and raised him to be no better. When he was four, he could barely speak, could only walk as she needed him to beg. One day she tried to sell him, for food, or water he never asked but he was offered to anyone who passed them. A member of the circus found them and stole him from her. He has never been happier.
How long have they been preforming?:
Since he was six, after they taught him to speak and to read.

Name: Gayle

Position: Two

Personality: Gayle is a very sweet girl and does her best to be there for everyone, though she's often subject to her emotions. Honestly, she's transparent, and has long given up trying to conceal when she's upset, scared, or elated. Despite the obviousness of her emotions, however, she's very reluctant to talk with others about what's bothering her and will attempt to just get away from reality somehow, subconsciously using whatever means necessary to do that. Normally, she's a very gentle, sensitive, and motherly young lady and has compassion for everything she meets, occasionally even going so far as to convince herself of someone's true goodness by believing that it had simply been masked by poor circumstances. Forgiveness is very easy for her. Unfortunately, Gayle can also be a bit too trusting of people and rather gullible. She thoroughly enjoys making other people happy and though she isn't the funniest all the time, she'll try her hardest to at least earn a small smile.

Why did they join the circus?: Gayle has been a part of the circus for as long as she can remember. She was told from a young age that her father worked at the circus and that he gave her to it so that she could have a better, happier life displaying her gift for other people; for this reason, she was never actually paid for her performance, as it supposedly all went to her father. While Gayle has never doubted this to be true, she's never met the man, so it's entirely possible that the story was entirely fabricated. However, the circus had become such a part of her that she had never even considered that there might be something else out there.

How long have they been preforming?: Twelve years, though it's uncertain how long she's actually been at the circus.

Other: She was given charge of Noah when she was ten years old and the two have become very close over the years.
