ah, windells academy for snowboarding--the ultimate destination for any rookie
looking to get big. this place produced the best-of-the best, the cream of the
crop, and you knew it. this place was the academy of your dreams. ever since
you got into snowboarding. it was, of course, a distant, unattainable dream
according to you, but you still liked to dream. you never actually thought you'd
be receiving an acceptance letter from the people you deemed gods compared to
you're 'unworthy' self. but oh, did they prove you wrong. that's right,

they wanted you

to attend their prestigious snowboarding academy for the 2013-2014 school year.
you, of course, assumed you were dreaming. but to prove you wrong even more,
the school sent you your plane ticket to the beautiful whistler canada to stay in
the school's lodge, attend your classes, and snowboard what whistler mountain
has to offer the students of windells this year.

one thing was for certain;; this was going to be the best year ever

I am going to keep this short and simple, for the sake of me, and the sake of you.

you all know the drill, follow tess' lead

windells is all about personal achievement, and of course team work. but not just in
selective teams. this means that each student will share a room in the lodge with a
student who is on the opposite team. pairings are made at random, so there will
be at least one male x female room pairing. these are the set arrangements.

the rooms are furnished with two separate beds, closets, and desks. the coaches live in the same building, so rough housing, and or trouble making will not be tolerated at any hours of the day.

at windells academy, we follow a strict schedule to balance athletics as well as education
these schedules run from mon thru fri, saturdays and sundays are free days

seven am ;; breakfast is served

three pm ;; second block of classes
six pm ;; dinner
seven pm ;; free time
ten pm;; lights out

all students have the same schedule classes are held in the study hall, but
are purely online with teachers working as aids when you need their assistance

---------"felix, hey felix!" the boy's mother shook his leg hard, hoping it would wake him up. he had always been such a heavy sleeper on the weekends. usually doris would let the boy sleep in, but today was different. "honey, come on, wake up!" her voice wasn't distressed, she wasn't mad. she was excited.
---------instead of an upbeat boy springing out of bed like doris had anticipated, she received a very tired, and a very grumpy groan from the still sleeping felix.
---------the woman let out a hard sigh, but she wasn't about to give up. although she was getting frustrated with the teenager, she remained calm and happy--it was a natural talent of a suburban mother. "it's windells, honey, they sent you a letter." the woman held up a large, yellow envelope. "honey, it looks important, I didn't want to open it."
---------felix quickly turned to face his mother, tired eyes as wide as they allowed (which wasn't very wide considering it was 9:00 am, and he usually didn't get out of bed on the weekends until about noon). "you're kidding." felix said, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.
---------"I'm not." doris smiled, she was quite a beautiful woman, considering she had given birth to five kids (felix was number four) and then managed to raise them with the help of practically no one, seeing as her loving husband worked long hours as an engineer for hire. the woman handed her son the envelope, and urged him to open it. "go on, I've been waiting all morning to see what it is."
---------felix wanted to smile, he did, but he couldn't allow himself to do so. the envelope was not opened, it's contents were a mystery. felix had no idea what the school was trying to say to him, but somewhere deep inside he assumed that they didn't have anything nice to say. especially not after the constant months he spent pestering them with constant questions, and broad assumptions. felix nervously took the envelope, and slowly pulled at the tab, it had already been opened. felix looked at his mother, slightly angry that she opened it before he did.
---------"I'm sorry honey. I thought I was a good liar." doris sighed, but then quickly smiled once more, looking at her son with her pale green eyes. "you got in, baby. they let you in." tears of pure and utter joy filled the woman's eyes. her precious baby had been accepted into the school of his dreams. he was going to make it big, he had to. according to doris, her baby boy was the best snowboarder out there. this acceptance letter only stood testament to her broad statements.
---------"wha--" felix froze. what news to wake up to. he very quickly pulled out the letter, and read the bold black letters of acceptance. "dear mr. armstrong, we're happy to tell you that your credentials meet our highest expectations..." felix read quick, and skimmed through most of the letter. "we would like for you to attend our 2014 school year..." felix continued to read, his smile growing larger. "please pack your things as soon as possible, your flight leaves on january 5th, 2014. do not worry about expenses, your year with us has been paid in full." felix smiled bigger and bigger, it almost felt impossible to smile any bigger. "your plane ticket is in the envelope as well as your bus ticket, and your season pass for whistler mountain. we look forward to bringing your skill to our school." felix set the letter down, and looked at his mother. tears were in her eyes. "oh my god." felix said, the excitement finally setting in. he quickly extended his arms forward, and pulled his mother into a tight hug. "I got in! I got in!"
---------"I'm so proud of you, baby." doris replied, hugging her son tight.
---------this was it, the moment felix has been dreaming of for years. he was going to windells academy for snowboarding. in that very moment, his career was really looking up for him. maybe he could make it big.
