Sarhiel, the city of beauty and kingdom of dragons. Humans inhabit this large city, living peacefully among the dragons that roam its borders. Time passed on between the two species as their friendly ways continued. A man known as Arvellon ventured off to find an egg laying on the ground. He took it in to realize it was no ordinary egg, but a dragons egg. And so the age of riders began. Fearless humans who seek the impossible.

Centuries passed since the first rider died. Many more had come after him, but one rose above all the others. Canstreal was his name. He was a young, brave rider, the best in fact. But power clouded his mind, and so he sought for more. His greed for power led him to being king of Sarhiel, leading it to ruin. Dragons fled the kingdom, fearing for their life for the king began sending hunters to kill them if they did not join his legion. His greed caused an end to the riders, killing them off one by one.

Fifty years passed, and Canstreal still has Sarhiel in the palm of his hand. But four eggs appear. Four eggs with four dragons in them, each ready to chose their rider. And so the riders return, but with a bigger goal, to kill the king.

Keira is an extremely shy girl. She is quiet and well-behaved and very down-to-earth. Some might even say she's boring. If you looked into a room with 20 people, Keira included, you'd probably only notice her light hair for two seconds before moving on. Little do you know she is observing your every move, deducing your actions, and peeling away your exterior until she knows quite a bit about your personal ways. However, she doesn't do anything with this information; she's not the kind to blackmail or persuade. Instead, she spends her days daydreaming, countless amounts of facts floating about in her head, silently coming up with witty and interesting situations she knows could very well never take place. One who doesn't know Keira might say she's air-headed and plain, perhaps even a little bit strange by the way she smiles to herself when absolutely nothing is taking place. But the few who do know her know that there is never a dull moment in her mind.

Keira rather lacks in the body department. She doesn't practice horse-back riding or any sport suitable for a young girl, so her muscles haven't developed. She's pretty tall, though, giving her limbs a lanky look and her movements are often awkward. She has mid-back length auburn hair which slightly waves. Her skin is pale, but she has warm undertones, so she tans easily and prettily. Her eyes are probably her most interesting asset: they are green, emerald in the sun light and forest in the dark. They are always warm, Keira's eyes, always friendly and welcoming. She usually wears gowns, although of no particular elegance considering they all get dirty from her long walks outdoors. She has a simple face, pretty, even, by some standards; decorated with full pink lips, high cheekbones, and elegantly arched eyebrows, Keira could have been the wife of a powerful man had her dragon not come along.

Scylla started out as a rather difficult dragon. She was constantly loud and she seemed obsessed with destroying things. As she grew older, however, the fire within her seemed to control itself. Scylla became quiet most of the time and listened intently to whatever Keira said. Her rider thought she had finally matured. And in a way, she did. She learned that her anger and destruction had both a proper time and place. And it didn't take long before Keira became aware of her dragon's realization. A single wrong step made by a merchant ended with him hanging upside down from Scylla's claws, the vast ocean underneath him. It was only thanks to Keira's desperate suplications that the dragon dropped him onto firm land, shaking and willing to give them anything they wished. Scylla is pretty slim, a couple feet taller than Keira and not nearly as heavy as she will be one day. Her head has two rows of medium-sized horns that merge into one row at her shoulders and continue like a mountain range all the way to the tip of her long tail. Her young scales are a dull and deep golden, and her wings light enough that sunlight easily filters through.

Aeron Stark in a complicated guy. Being the oldest of the four dragon riders against Canstreal, he sees himself as the "leader". He feels responsible for the group and that everything they do falls in his shoulders. Because of this he is naturally stubborn and sometimes demanding of the others. He prefers to do things his way, even if it's not necessarily the best way. But a lot of the time he does get his way, and that's because he is a smooth-talker and very cunning. He uses sarcasm more often than not, which he believes makes it hard for others to understand what he is really wanting or trying to say. He does this on purpose in yet another attempt to get what he wants. You can say he's a bit of an adrenaline junky and tends to do things the fun way, despite sometimes being a tad reckless. However, as sly and stubborn as he is, he is fiercely loyal and will do just about anything he can to put an end against Canstreal's reign, with the help of his ferocious dragon, Balerion. Sometimes, Aeron's hands are full with his dragon, but really they are a good pair for one another.

Meet Aeron Stark's dragon, Balerion. Balerion is a black dragon with frills, eyes, and wings that are blood red. He is a rather large dragon. He stands 8 feet tall at the shoulders alone, and is at least 30 feet long from nose to tail tip. He is probably the most aggressive out of the four dragons, but that is because he sees himself as the best and doesn't like being shown up. His rider is the only one Balerion will ever listen to, and the only one that can calm him down if he's in a rage. Like Aeron, Balerion is also a joy seeker and an adrenaline junkie, usually in the form of doing aerial stunts and breathing fire, sometimes at the same time. Being the aggressive dragon he is, Balerion rarely ever backs down from a fight and is extremely brave, but on the verge of reckless, just like Aeron. If not stopped, he would pick a fight with an older, larger dragon if there was one.

.: Darien is a joker. He is the youngest of three siblings - himself, his sister Elianna, and his brother Zereth. Darien is funny and he knows it. He is a curious fellow, collecting knowledge anywhere and everywhere he goes. He asks questions quite often, seeking those bits of knowledge. When the rest of the riders get into arguments, he is usually the head of the argument. He likes to make his point known to everyone, whether they want to hear it or not, though he is not harsh. He is gentle and kind, but also a bit selfish. He tries to lighten the mood if the other riders are gloomy, and more times than not, he succeeds. If one of the other riders needs help, he'll be there to pick you up.

.: Darien rides the dragon named Fangol. Fangol has the perfect personality for matching his rider's. Fangol is calm and gentle when not engaged in a fight. He is ready to react at anytime, but will obey Darien if he is told not to fight. He is a little intimidating, being one of the oldest dragons of the four. His eyes are a glowing green and the rest of his body is a green-tinted grey. He has long claws on his wings he likes using in battle. He flies relatively safe, but isn't afraid to take a risk. He is sensible and tries to stay calm. He has a moderately high temper, especially when it comes to Darien. He is extremely protective and is obedient to Darien.
