Name: Cressida Erin Martin.Age: Looks about 14, acts like 13 and actually is 15.Gender: FemaleSpecies: 89% human, 11% cat. 'Why, why that extra 1% cat?'
Looks: Cressida has mid-length blonde hair that's constantly getting in her face. It's not quite straight and not quite curly, frustrating Cress to no end so she usually wears it in two plaits just to keep it out of the way. She has big, eyes, one hazel and one almost grey and long eye lashes, with a very feminine face, which can get on her nerves now and then as people don't really take her seriously. She has many freckles which is another thing added to the list of things that frustrate her. Cress is over 6ft tall but would rather not be reminded of it. She wears T-shirts and skirts usually and the darker the better. Personality: Cress is one big ball of untamed energy, preferring to be running about than standing sill doing nothing. She's extremely chatty to anyone who will listen to her. Cress can be gentle and kind when the situation calls for it though, caring for her friends when they need help.
She is athletic and loves climbing. Show her a mountain and she'll be at the top within hours. She also loves reading with a passion, and it's probably the only time you'll see her sitting still. Cress loathes needles but can't quite remember why...
''Yup, that's right. I'm part cat. And no I don't like chasing balls of yarn around. Geez...'Cress was grafted with Feline DNA, which gave her some interesting qualities.
• Quick reflexes - She has amazing reaction times and they are performed without even conscious thought. She can be running for the hills before her brain has time to catch up. It was something she had to practise controlling.
• Hearing - Cress can hear pitch above and below the normal frequencies for humans.'Not exactly useful, but you take what you can get.'• Night vision - 'No no, I'm deadly serious.' She can see in near total darkness, needing only a sixth of the light needed for human vision. It's great for sneaking around at night.
• Colour blindness - Cress' eyes have poorer colour vision. They are optimised for seeing blue and yellowish green but have limited ability to distinguish between red and green.'It makes things... Interesting. However, I have a better sense of smell than humans, so I guess it evens out... Maybe.'• Unable to taste sweetness - 'I did not sign up for this.' Cats have relatively few taste buds compared to humans so of course Cress inherited this trait.
"Domestic and wild cats share a gene mutation that keeps their sweet taste buds from binding to sugary molecules like carbohydrates, leaving them with no ability to taste sweetness"
'Well... At least I won't be craving chocolate...'All in all, it wouldn't be too bad. that is, if it weren't for the extra 1%. It means that she shares some looks with cats, namely the one grey eye and... The err... Um... Cat ears.'They are small, grey and are situated on top of my head, poking up out of my hair. Believe me, it's a living nightmare.'She has no normal ears.
