Long have the days of war reigned between the kingdoms of Istoth and Seulghem. The war has raged on for nearly a century now. Whatever caused such hatred to spark the fire has been long forgotten. The two kingdoms could end this feud with the marriage of their children. But of course, why would you marry some one you hate? So still the feuding continues, without a glimmer of hope of a resolution. More importantly, what shall become of the lives who created these kingdoms? Only time will tell.

To some, the intro post might of been a bit confusing. So I'm here to sum it all up in detail!

The role play is set in the medieval ages. Not your standard, historical medieval age, however. It is also heavily fantasy influenced. The two kingdoms are Istoth and Seulghem. Neither kingdom represent 'good' or 'bad', though, and in all honesty, they are quite alike. Yet there is a 'small' problem; the two kingdoms are at war and have been for nearly a century. The cause of the war is unknown, even to the rulers of both kingdoms for the ones who started it have both died in battle. Because of this war, both kingdoms our destroying themselves and their enemy, slowing fading out until they are nothing but ash and dust. Now, what you will actually be role playing in is during the most tense and furious part of the war, for both sides are tired of it now. It has been proposed before that the eldest daughter of Istoth and the eldest son of Seulghem marry to unite the two kingdoms, but of course neither child will accept this. The idea, however, is still very heavily thought of. Then there are the people of each kingdom, who most of you who join will be playing. As for your characters, you can have fantasy species, but that will be further discussed in the 'Species' post.

I honestly do not think I need to explain this ^^
Elves
Elves are one of the fairest of people who dwell on this earth. They have a love for nature, and are physically above humans. They do like dwarves and their greediness. Think of the elves off of Lord of the Rings. Also includes other types of elves like Dark Elves, etc.
Shapeshifters
I believe everyone knows what a shapeshifter is; a human who can take on the form of other beings. However, in this role play, I am going to limit each shapeshifter to one animal form that they can change into.
Magic Users
This includes mages, sorcerers/sorceresses, and wizards/witches. In all honesty, you can go a bit wild with this one and use your imagination, if you want. Just do not make your character over powered! xP
Dwarves
Dwarves have a love for halls of stone and mighty treasure. They are a hearty folk, but do not like elves. Think of Lord of the Rings.
Other
This could include anything like goblins, orcs, trolls, or just what ever really. BUT! Please ASK before you go off and make Smaug, the Consulting Dragon ^^

Istoth is an agriculturally based kingdom.
It is located in a very fertile area, where
it is pleasantly hot in the summer without
very harsh winters. The land around the
kingdom is mostly rolling hills, but there
are also rivers and forests around. It is
about ten miles from Seulghem.

kingdom. It is located on a mighty lake
known as Black Lake. The lake is connected
to a river that runs out into sea five miles
from the kingdom. The surrounding land is
filled with forests and swamp, and Istoth
is ten miles away.

wise, intelligent, friendly, deadly. those are the good points about this particular man. those are what people credit him with, along with his battle strategies and his skill with metal blades, be them large or small. however, like every person in the land, he has his flaws. no sense of danger - reckless, some might say - amorous, to the point that he has been slapped more times he can count, although he finds he likes that in a woman. his face gives him the look of an older man, and alvere finds he doesn't mind this either. he's a merciless killer when it comes to it, and he does find it a little sad, but he has a job to do and so he does it.
alvere was born to a married couple, happy in their wedlock. they raised him well over the years, teaching him right from wrong, although he didn't take much notice. at the age of eight he was apprenticed to a royal guard and under the grouchy old man he learnt many skills, including how to fight. at the age of sixteen his mentor retired and al became a fully-fledged guard. his reputation as a man of skill roamed wide and he uses it to the best he can.

Elizabeth Anne Arabella is her name. The Medieval Maiden. The stone cold yet heroic spirit. But a thief, a rouge, a wanted woman. How did it all come to this you ask? Well, that's a story she'll tell you herself if she deems you worthy of knowing it. Nor do you get to know what she's like, except of some for sure knowledge from rumors that travel about the kingdom. But enough of this talk, you're probably more interested in the girl. Elizabeth is seventeen years of age. As you know, she is a thief, but you probably did not know that she is an extremely good thief, now did you? In fact, she is the most wanted woman throughout the entire kingdom as of now, or at least one of them if there happen to be others like her. However, some support her for her crimes, for she only steals what she needs and gives what ever she doesn't to the poor. In fact, she is said to be quite a gentle lady amongst the poor. That's her attitude towards the poor, though. To people like guards, she may appear that she is stone cold, heartless, and without emotions at times. Then again, how else would people take her seriously? After all, she is a woman. One other thing is that she claims to fear only fear itself, but in reality, she is actually a major claustrophobic. That is all I can recall about her personality. Now, what about her possessions? Her possessions include a bow, a sword, a variety of daggers, and a horse. All of these she of course stole, except for her horse. She named her sword Aldair (All-dare), and it is always found on her person. It is a silver colored blade encrusted with emeralds (think of the emerald blade off of Guild Wars). She rarely takes it off. But her bow is her favorite weapon; but since when has a bow been given a name? She can use all of these weapons superbly, as well as without these weapons with hand-to-hand combat. But she seems to falter quite a bit with any other type of weapon. Then she has her horse, a stallion that she named Aiden (A-den). He is a mighty fine horse, a red-brown sorrel horse with faded in black stockings and nose, as well as a black mane and tail, with a white diamond in the center of his forehead, and is her closest companion. Onto the woman's looks, now. Elizabeth stands at five foot five, weighing around a hundred and twenty pounds. She quite lean, and of course, has an athletic build. Her muscles are visible, mainly on her arms, stomach, and calves, but they are not beefed out entirely. Her skin is of a fair, pale color, just barely kissed by the sun. The hair upon her head is curly, but of the wavy kind, and flows to the middle of her back. But most of the time it is braided in a single braid. It is of a lovely blonde color. She has bangs at the sides of her face, and her hair is parted off to the right a bit. Then she has these forest-green eyes that seem to light up her face, along with this radiant smile from her fair, neutral-pink lips. For the most part, she wears brown, finger-less gloves, a brown belt around her middle, and brown boots; all of these items appearing worn from time. Tucked into her boots are white-tan colored leggings. She also wears a brown cloak that can encase her entire body. Of course she has other outfits, though. This ties to her history a bit, but she also wears a necklace with the pendant of a silver sparrow with an emerald eye. It was given to her by her parents when she was born, and is also her give away. The only true knowings of her looks by the kingdom is that she for sure has this necklace, yet she refuses to take it off, and the people know who she is the moment they see the pendant. It is the only thing that the guards and knights of the kingdom can identify her by. Otherwise, she is an overall fair, and beautiful woman, but built for combat, agility, and prowling.
