A great war began in the kingdom of Brigiandell. A war between the magical beasts of the dark queen, and the knights of Valor. Elves and Humans have come together to defeat this dark queen. Holdings, and Kingdoms from far off have come to join the war as well, for the queen poisoned their own homes, causing their world to die off, and all the good to disappear. Her magic plagues all the four kingdoms, and only seems to grow stronger.

Dark magic plaques the land of the Highland. A dark queen made it her duty to rule the Highland, and so
she married the late King of Brigiandell, and killed him the night of their wed. Once he was dead, she consumed
the small holding with her dark magic, and with her brothers help, killed off every man or woman who went against
their ways. Who wouldn't worship her as queen, who were still loyal to the king himself. She then locked up his two
beloved children. Both of them though managed to escape and grew up in the neighboring kingdom, Farendell.

18 years later

The Highland has become a dead waste land. All the happiness of this place was drained away, and so did the hope
of the people. A group known as the Knights of Valor have appeared though. These Knights are the three kingdoms
[ Farendell and Arundel - elves kingdoms and Brigiandell - humans kingdom ] combined as one. Each
kingdom sent out their finest knights, peasants, and even royals to join the fight, and take the throne from the
dark queen, and give it back to the rightful rulers.

I sit there, mounted on top of my fathers old horse. A favorite of mine, which seemed to confuse father. Nocturne was his name, and a beauty he was. But he was smaller than the other war horses, and wasn't able to bare much weight anymore like them either. For me, that is perfect for I don't carry many things with me at all. Only what I truly needed if I were to go on a trip. This time I packed my sword, given to me as a gift before I left, and my bow. But to make my usual load heavier, my father demanded me to take a pouch filled with bread, goat cheese, and apples. Something I could nibble on the way to the Valor. It had been days though, since I left my home kingdom. Since I left my mother parents behind me. And now I was heading out with only a few knights to protect me from the ride there. Our eyes were keen, and wide to the dead world that lay ahead of us.
There was a faint whimper from my horse. His main shook, causing his silky black hair to wave in my face. A smile quirked up on my lips, and I quickly patted his neck gently. "I know boy, I know." I whisper into his ear. I could feel the waves of discomfort from him. He was much like me, love adventuring outside our castle walls, but not to far. We were heading into territory we've never too, which scared him more than I. "Remember boy, carrots...lots of carrots." Right then his ears perked up in response. The word carrot itself placed him into his place as my horse, and transportation. If he knew that there would be a treat after this, then he was willing to go through anything.
I then leaned back in saddle, and placed my stance a straighter one. My eyes were kept out in front of me as we rode to the Valor. My legs were already becoming weary from the ride, and my body ached from the long days spent on horse back. For the first time, I yearned for the comforts of my bed, and for the warm feeling of a bath. I needed a good washing, and was much more comfortable in a basin, than in a lake with guards who stood near. Slowly I let out a sigh. Only a short while now, it is not much further. I tell myself before sighing once more. Or at least I hope.
