indenin ancient roman days, they had two social groups. the patricians and the plebeians. the patricians were the wealthy, upper class group. the plebeians were your lower class citizens. the plebeians were in charge and the patricians worked and produced everything for the city. along the way the gladiator games were introduced. the point was too keep the peace between the two classes. so the patricians lived by the phrase, 'bread and circuses'. meaning you feed them enough food so they don't starve, and entertain them enough so they don't rise up against you. in latin this means 'panem et circenses'.
indenthat's what the country of panem was molded after. it rests in the ranges of what used to be appalachia. they have their own social groups too. the capital being their patricians, the district citizens being their plebeians. but that is not the only thing panem took from roman culture. the hunger games, an yearly lesson to teach the districts about their 'crimes'.

please follow the tess and nick rules set up. that includes
the pink bar at the top of the page. first, I will not accept
face claims like barbara palvin. she is a common fc and i
want either unique face claims or ones without a face claim.
next, this is a literate
role play, meaning two paragraphs at the least. this is no
place for one liners. also please stick with the information
i give you. this will be different from any other hunger games
role play you've been in. but i'll move on to that in a second.
next rule is i want you to post at least once a week. i don't
want this dying. also don't make them all daughters and sons
directly from the tribute. if they're older then make them
granddaughters and grandsons, or nieces and nephews.
if your character dies (i will have a random
generator for that when the time comes) please do not
automatically quit. unless you only took on one character
that is. i cannot control who will win (if we get that
far) so don't complain saying that 'it wasn't fair' or anything along
the lines of that. i may win, member x may win, member b may
win. but this will all be in a professional generator.

............................................................................

this year's hunger games is special. it's the 100th games. which
means on thing. the quarter quell. these games will be exceptional.
the tributes are to be reaped from the children of the current victors.
if your current victors have no children of their own, they're relatives
children or any close family and friend's children will be taken. instead
of two male and female tributes being reaped, it will just be one from
each district. the capitol wants them to bond since there are so little of them.
plus there will be a lot of battles. and the capitol was hoping some of
them might fall for each other in the process, making the games more exciting
to watch. oh and there's one last twist. they will be split up into teams
depending on their district. you will depend on this team to keep you save
and alive. good luck.
