welcome to the little private college known as brooklyn-hale university. this charming, little school is located in the cold, foggy town of santa cruz, california. the town's spirit, however, is far from cold and foggy, as there are plenty of entertainments here from taking strolls down the wharf where all of the little shops are, to going down to the beach, to just exploring every little nook and cranny the city holds.
however, you and your five friends have just stumbled into a bit of trouble with some residents of the city. some discovery of your inhuman abilities has been unburied from the dirt of lies you have tried to cover it up with. yes, inhuman powers, or so to say, different forms of kinesis. your group of friends is just quite the funny bunch, isn't it? of course, you have hardly any experience with these kinesises, as you all received them without any warning on your twenty-first birthday. this, in fact, was the reason you all banded together when you uncovered each other's abilities. you became a tight-knit group not only for friendship, but for safety as well. you all have an alliance where you protect each other from humans who might find out about your secrets. this means not all of you might get along too well, but you know that these people will help you survive from dangers these powers place you in.
so, as it turns out, a few of your dorm-mates have seen some suspicious activity between you and your amigos. just in your luck. now you all must come up with a plan to keep this secret from spreading any further, or the possibility of becoming runaways to save your lives might have to be an option.

oona martell is quite an eccentric, lively girl. she can easily make friends and has no problem in social groups. her sense of humor is brilliant and she is very intelligent for her age. however, she can be a bit gullible and is thought of as naive. sawyer, her best friend, is the one who tends to guide oona through problems she runs into because of her high innocence level. oona is very outgoing and "silly", which is a basic testimonial of what her friends think of her. oona hardly uses her aerokinesis in a useful way, but rather fool around with it and use to mess with her friends, from making the wind blow their skirts up in front of their crushes to manipulating the wind for herself to float or fly around aimlessly. she may be though of as a pushover, always showing sympathy towards everyone and is very soft. despite this, she is full of charisma that gives off an excitable aura and her attitude is a rollercoaster that only goes up.
oona didn't always have such a cheerful personality until she arrived at college. growing up as a foster kid for all of her life, she could never grow attached enough to anyone to come out of her shell of shyness. bonding with her friends at university was certainly a factor of molding her personality into it's cheery norm well-known by everyone currently.
the redhead may be outgoing and confident in front of sawyer and the rest of the gang, but oliver peck is certainly an exception. they had been good friends for a while before oona fell in love with him, and now it's a bit obvious. she may be deep in animated, comic conversation with her friends at one point, then completely shut up when oliver is around. she gets too nervous to know what to say in front of him, constantly beating herself up over her cowardice love for him.

meet june bennet, a girl of the age of twenty-two and has power over water [hydrokinesis.]

three words to describe june is mature, conservative and realistic. she knows right from wrong and can obviously tell when something bad is going to happen, and because of that, june appears to be some-sort of stronghold for her group - well the females really. although appearing strong on the outside, june really is lost. she doesn't know what role she plays and she doesn't know where she fits; she really just questions her identity and meaning in life which constantly results in some-sort of brooding. other than those negative traits, june is kind and intelligent. she often is seen to compliment and give advice to those who seek, although she really doesn't have any advice for herself. she's just broken that way.

although knowing june for many years, she has a small tendency to hide things from others.foremost, she had lived through the splitting of her parents which ultimately scarred her psyche. she was being torn between both - her loving mother and loving father. throughout this time, she didn't have anyone to talk to and to rely on. she had to go through this ordeal by herself. anything else is unknown. she doesn't like to dwell on it.

Oliver is what some would call a flirt. He is outgoing to everyone, girls included, and he has a way of serenading girls. He is fun and is always up for having a good time. It's possible that he goes overboard with his partying and going out, meaning he neglects his studies quite often. Yet he manages to do pretty well, perhaps because he's actually very intelligent. He is really not afraid of the world, rather adventurous as some would say, and he can fill peoples' heads with dreams and hopes of the future if they're not careful. It is easy to fall for his tricks because he's an optimistic person by nature. He is so full of hope and sunshine, a dreamer boy whose head is stuck in the clouds. Yet, while Oliver is outgoing and fun, he doesn't talk about himself. He speaks a lot about gossip and other things, but he doesn't talk about his past. When asked, he just brushes it off and changes the topic. Oliver is also rather self-centered. It's not that he's particularly mean, just that it doesn't come naturally to him to offer his life, or his time, or even his resources for others. That doesn't mean he'll say no if asked (doesn't mean he'll say yes either). However, if you somehow manage to get him to be your close friend, he will be as loyal as can be, sticking his neck out even if it means that he just might lose his head. This is especially true when it comes to his girlfriend. He is really romantic and he will do many things that will make her fall in love with him again and again.

Oliver has a past that he doesn't talk about. He was born in San Fransisco, and was diagnosed with tuberculosis when he was 14. He was rasping and coughing blood, on the brink of death. It hit his family really hard. His parents started fighting and eventually separated. His elder brother was devastated and that, on top of the bullying he was enduring in school, pushed him to commit suicide. When Oliver finally got better, his brother was dead and his parents were divorced. He lived with his mother and they moved to this small town to make a fresh start. But even with the new move, he can't wipe his hands of the blood of his brother, nor clear his mind of the guilt of the lives he's convinced he's ruined.

As for how Oliver gets along with people, he generally is quite a people-person due to his outgoing personality. He may mix with the wrong crowd since he's such a party person and spends quite some nights at bars and clubs. He's great friends with Bruno, although he's a year younger. They have a close bond, despite his selfishness, he cares greatly for his friend. However, he wouldn't admit that openly. After all, he is a guy, and guys don't do all the mushy 'I love you' stuff. When it comes to girls, Oliver is a charmer and flirts with girls, but that's mainly because he's hiding his fear that Oona will reject him. Because even though he has a closed heart, she is somehow able to break down all his walls and make his heartbeat quicken. He'll never make the first move, and he's convinced he can go through life perfectly happily without love. There is one person Oliver really cannot stand: Marcus Cardona. His bleak outlook on life is just so disgusting, and the fact that he's just so selfless is kind of gross. Seriously, to Oliver, Marcus is like a girl. Sometimes, Oliver flirts with June just to get something out of him. It's quite funny, really.

at twenty years old, bruno had his life figured out. graduate from brooklyn-hale university, live carelessly for a few years, then meet a pretty lady and settle down. but when the young adult was gifted with electrokinesis on the dawn of his twenty-first birthday, bruno was shaken down to his core. sparks flew from his fingers and waves of atmospheric energy radiated off of him. it took bruno a couple months to fully harness his powers, and in that time a new man was born. once exuberantly outgoing, bruno retreated unto himself, knowing others would find it strange and terrifying that he could manipulate electrical currents. he became guarded and distant, and created a mask to hide behind. to others, he appears untouchable, a mystery that no one dares to solve. bruno's signature sarcasm and stubbornness drives away anyone looking to undo his carefully constructed façade, which he uses to protect himself from pain and potentially danger. as a result, the tall, freckled, green-eyed boy has no true relationships, and often finds himself lonely. although the line between his two identities is becoming more and more indistinguishable, the mask cannot conceal all of bruno's former, but really genuine, traits; he is goofy, bold, reckless, and playful. thrill and adventure allures him. all in all, bruno marston is unplaceable. no one quite knows what to make of him.

she may not know where she's headed,
but sawyer prefers it that way. think
of her as a pioneer, singing an anthem
honoring independence and endurance.
all her life, those around her had the
desire to control her. the precious and

has never allowed this young woman
permission to feel comfortable when
someone or something else just so
happens to restrain her. in sawyer's
opinion, most things stop her from
being who she truly is. so who is she?
the answer is as simplistic as it is
utterly baffling; sawyer marlow is a
fire. she is bright and she burns her
own path, yet her direction is unclear,
smothered by the heat of the flames.
honestly, she doesn't feel obligated to
depend on other people, but she often
finds herself cherishing the company
of those who also harbor her power
of kinesis. she considers herself the
leader of her group, which shows you
that she definitely has a superiority
complex that she doesn't bother hiding.

self-worth isn't a tricky concept for her,
and although her no-nonsense attitude
is stunning, most people who know her
admit the truth about her capable and
powerful spirit. sawyer's skin is tough,
her having roughhoused with plenty of
wily boys during her time in high school
because her dad leads a boy scout troop.
you wouldn't think sawyer could see the
beauty in the calm, quiet world of her
college, brooklyn-hale university, but
that's just it. sawyer doesn't mind the
peace. it helps her think, which causes
a chain reaction and helps her plan and
finalize brave new ideas and soon she's
moving forward once more. sawyer's
mother eliza passed away when she
was only twelve, but her memory has
passed on to sawyer in the form of her
mom's adventurous nature. she has an
excellent poker face, but she wouldn't
know it, now would she, since she's
always so blunt? exactly. but sawyer
might have to rely on that, a skill she's
never perfected, because her hidden
talents are about to burn recklessly.
