In the year 2287, Somewhere in the fray of raging battle between occupying force and rebelling people; a tiny hummingbird was hatched. The last of it's kind, the only bird species left in the world. The fighting of Watowa Bay (formerly Outer Banks, NC) actually stopped, only for a second, and the weary soilders just stood to watch it hatch. Everyone thought the hummingbirds were gone. They were wrong.. there was one left. At this time wars, pollution, and human population had killed off most wildlife, so this was really a remarkable feat. Then as soon and as spontaniously as the fighting had stopped... suddenly it had started again. A Goldhawk (the rebel force that had recently assumed control) soldier snatched the tiny egg in his hand, and ran behind the front lines of his own army. The battle carried on harsher than ever, but the people resisting were beaten back, the baby hummingbird carried to Goldhawk science labs. Tests were done, experiments tried.. the baby bird was kept happy, played with, fed, adored by even the most heartless as a new hope. Ocasionally scientists would enter the tiny bird's lux habitat in order to take a DNA sample; just a fallen feather or two, then they'd leave. It was so important not because they wanted to recreate the bird's species, but that they wanted to recreate the bird's wings. It would be the ultimate acomplishmeant in science.. in warfare. The hybrid humans would be of great value to the Goldhawks.. The hummingbird was the last and only bird they could use these experiments on, although they might've preferred a falcon, hawk, or even a crow.. but all they had was the hummingbird. They also experimented on humans, although they were mainly prisoners of war, and hardly treated with as much humanity. It was with many failed tries that the scientists tried to cause a human to grow bird's wings. Then, finally, a pregnant woman from the resistant tribe of Alamoite was brought in. Something about her was different, she had some sort of genetic disorder. This time, it actually worked. The woman's baby was born with little wings. Now, not all the people in the Goldhawk group were supporting this genetic mutation. Some were fighting it, calling it inhumane because... it was. Hundreds of pregnant women were brought in, their children mutated with the possible 'wing' DNA. The children - and their mothers - that were useless were killed or disposed of. There was a miniature civil war which went on for a while, but was finally mostly stomped out. They figured out that only babies with a genetic dissorder were able to accept the serum they'd devoloped. It was a very, very rare dissorder. But, they did manage to find a few. The children were trained since they were little to fight,to become emotionless, to follow orders. Some did better than others. Some thrived under the harsh regime, others crumbled into mental dissorders. Regardless, one of the Tendits (latin for 'Winged', which is what the hybrids were called.) escaped his cell. His name was Farin. He killed his two gaurds, and freed most of the other Tendits, all those he freed fled, but he himself was killed.

This is the story of those Tendits, the survivors, the ones who fled.

Okay, for those of you who didn't read it... haha, no... jk. You've gotta read it.

• No killing or badly injuring another person's character without their permission.
• It isn't allowed to write somebody else's character did something (i.e. any action that it is not assumed they would've done had they themselves not written it.) although it is allowed to discribe them in your own words, and have your character's own opinion about what they did.
• Don't copy names, ideas, or anything that the person created themselves.
• I would appreciate it if the character was original. (Don't copy the character from a favorite show, book, or anime. You can get insperation from that stuff, but please, no cookie-cutter copies.)
• OOC chat is allowed
• Please try to be active. I understand there's school and personal life, but activity & creation are the two main things role-plays run on.

Rules on Characters
• Be realistic. If your character gets hurt, they must feel pain. If your character has a nightmare, they should be afraid. Perfection isn't real for people, so it shouldn't be present for role-play characters either.
Know what you're talking about. One of the most annoying thing is somebody's character knowing about something when they really know nothing about it in real life. At least study if you're entering a new realm of experience. You can't dodge every bullet, or have an uncanny sense about when something's going to go wrong.
• Flying is tiring, and takes practice to become good at.
• Your character has been inside of a training facility, and under a lot of stress. They haven't had much of a childhood, nor a great past. I'm not saying you can't have happy memories, it's just please remember this has probably taken a toll on the character in some way.
• Your wings are hummingbird wings, and they should resemble the wings of a hummingbird. Not any other kind of wing. You can choose a hummingbird to model your wings after, though, because wings do vary with each person.

The layout of the land, The important spots of Estrella City:

•2nd street & Ribbon - Goldhawk territory. People who go here are mainly here either because they're a Goldhawk, or one's reletive, or they're there for trouble. There's never really a reason to be here.. ever. Goldhawks have taken over a rundown mall, and transformed it into their own base.. There's a chainlink fence around the whole thing, with wicked razorwire on top. There's only one gaurd at the gate, this is a small base, more of a fort than anything. It's a small center, and nothing too important is kept here, not very often, anyway. Some higher-ranking Goldhawks live here, with their families for safety reasons. There is also a small creamation center inside.
• Neon Row & 28th street - this is the place mainly untouched by Goldhawks. It's lined with nightclubs, the people who hang out here are mostly criminals. Nightclubs, as you may imagine, aren't full of business as they used to be.. before the wars and riots.. Most are abandoned, so gangs fall in, filling up the empty space of what once was. A lot are still vacant, though, although that is a little-known fact.
•Kerri Lane, next to Cali's salon - A small, 12-hour convience store. This is/was owned by Sal, a veteran of the Hummingbird Wars.

Settings:

It's late October, the year is 2287. It's smoggy and polluted out. The date should be somewhere around the 18-20.

{Tabs was once cheerful and talkative, like other girls her age. She enjoyed her studies, was happy with her training, and wasn't entirely tortured by the scientists. She had heard from one of the members of her cell block that someone was planning an escape. Why would they want to escape to out there? Tabitha had read enough. Out there, there were wars. Terrible wars. So she decided she would be loyal and stay. Until it happened.
She didn't mean to. But when she was training, practicing self-defense, she hit her instructor too hard. He immediately sounded the alarm and she was punished. She was banned to solitary confinement for weeks, without so much as a glimpse of anyone except the scientists and guards who watched her. And once she got out, they took her books, her drawings, everything she had worked so long to earn. They moved her to a cell-block with several people who were leaving, and it was then she changed her mind. She would go. And never look back.

.........

Image

{ Tabitha heard the signal and waited her door to open. As the people filed out of their cells and flew away, Tabitha helped the weaker stragglers who weren't as strong as her. But when she saw the guards nearing Farin, she shouted. "Farin! Look out!" Instantly the guards were on him and chasing her. She watched until she couldn't wait any longer, then flew. But she looked back. And she hasn't spoken since. Tabitha suffers from Reactive Attachment Disorder, or so she has self-diagnosed herself, and so she has tried her best to get a hold of any over-the-counter anti-depressants that haven't expired and are safe for her to take, but they are far and few between, and so, her sane moments are also scattered.

Tabs has also done her best to make others happy, as her mother told her once, 'A smile and a wave can make someone's day.' She's been forced to wave a lot less as she needs to lay low until they forget about her and everything surrounding her, but the raven-haired girl still tries to brighten the lives of others.

Who I Am

Name: Esperanza
Age: 17
Gender: Female

{Esperanza (Last name Unknown) "Espy", standing at five feet four inches, and a slight 110 lbs, aged 17, is not by outward appearances very intimidating, unless you consider the wings and slight tinge of green to her skin. Both of which are the result of the genetic engineers at the "Facility". Her frame seems almost too slight to carry the breadth of her wings and the skin which covers it is tinted such a pale color of green you might not notice in the right light, except maybe to think she was ill. Bright light, the little of it she's been exposed to, however makes it much more noticeable. Her eyes are a soft hazel, primarily brown with green and gold flecks, which honestly play well off the soft dark auburn hair she generally keeps pinned back because it's so long. The facility insisted she keep the length to disguise her features. She supposes the Facility preferred to have her more hidden because of her skin tone, though the wings would certainly tip people off.
She was trained primarily in long range weapons, though she did learn hand to hand and close range combat as well, she is deathly dangerous at long distances. Though trained in lasers, semi-nuclear mini missiles, and quite accurate with stellar rays, she preferred "ancient" long-range weapons such as the bow and rifle. In hand to hand combat, she surprised her trainers frequently with her strength, though she has a tendency to be clumsy. Apparently, the hummingbird's stunning agility was not something she genetically received.
Her interpersonal skills with peers are non-existent. Having such an odd visage she wasn't permitted to interact with any of the other Tendits. Ever. Her one saving grace was a boy named Farin that shared a wall with her. Her room was at the end of the long hall and he was her only neighbor. However, it was determined quickly in her early years that she was incredibly bright and articulate. She was taught all of the core subjects in classes, and excelled, though not very interested in "arithmetic". Her instructors at the facility found her to be easy to teach and she developed a very adult perspective in being isolated among them.

.........

Image

{ The night of the famed escape, Esperanza went thoroughly unnoticed by the fellow Tendits in their rush to vacate the premises. Two things contributed to the nightmare that was her own disastrous exit from the facility. First of which being her terror. For as long as she can remember, Espy was deathly afraid of what her instructors told her existed beyond the walls of the Facility. War. Murder. People who would kill her just at the sight of her. She didn't want any part of the escape, even told Farin so through the vent in their shared wall. She didn't want to leave, at first. But as the events played out that evening, she realized she was far safer outside than in. She hid in her room, not answering Farin when he called her out. She heard him make his own way away from their corner of the ward. Then she heard the guards. She heard the bird-like shrieks of the injured and/or dying that filled the void of her quiet cell. She ventured a peek out of her opened door. As she did she was spotted by an instructor she had always admired and trusted, and it was he that attacked.
Running blindly through the halls she knew so well, with his blood covering her and not really sure how it got there, she ended up in the shooting range, sweating profusely and nearly unable to breathe. Pausing before stepping into the shadowy room, she heard a click, a guard, who she didn't recognize was coming toward her. She grabbed the nearest weapons available and let her wings fly. Frantically dodging shots, Facility staff, and guards, she barely managed to make it out. Dawn breaking, she ducked into a manhole, and followed the sewers to safety.
Espy was exhausted, injured, apparently a stellar ray had damaged her right wing, and fighting the urge to pass out from the smell and rats crawling everywhere, that or the bite from who knew what bug or spider swelling on her hand. She ventured a peek through a storm gutter out into the "real world". The sun was fully shining, and even though she was nervous about being seen, especially given her appearance, and the obvious stench that was reeking off of her, she shimmied herself up to get a better view.
The street was dead quiet, though she knew it must be mid-morning by now. Espy walked the few feet from the gutter to the nearest manhole cover and pushing it up slightly, climbed out, and darted into the closest building, an abandoned mechanic shop. She crawled into what was left of a rusty old car and passed out.

Name?
Her given name - the one her mother called her - is Jane, although most people at the Goldhawk lab called her Zero, as some inside joke she wasn't aware of. After she went into the streets, she began calling herself Anastasia, meaning "resurrection", as she thought fitting for her new life.. But she also answers to Zero on occasion.

Age?
Anstasia recently turned 16, although she looks and acts older.

Personality?
Anastasia doesn't have many social graces, having not been around many people, although she is actually much more hospitable and personable than most tendits. She is usually a logical thinker, and catches onto things very quickly. (She's learning!) She knows many different languages. She is a skilled flyer, although she flys very rarely because it is always very taxing. She is wary of most new people in general who are not tendits, like herself.... Among many things, she is not a born optimist, more like a realist. She tends to be paranoid about people wearing gold, for obvious reasons (Goldhawks used to wear lots of gold to make themselves look important, and rich).

A bit of history?
Anastasia was trained on many different things, how to fight... how to lie, how to speak, read and write tons of different languages. She hardly got to see her mother much at all, and learned survival tips as well, among other things.. Most of her past was being taught, and not much else. She tried to run away once, when she'd read a poem about a village, and how lovely it was it reminded of her own luxerious cell. Not home, but a cage. She'd been caught and punished, and then was submissive.
What does she look like? Anastasia has dark brown hair, and green eyes, which are dotted with flecks of gray. She is tall, fair, and has very long full wings. Her face, though pretty with a striking doll-like complexion, is unreadable. She keeps her emotions at large locked away. (Picture is WIP)

Starling Glass is the younger twin. She has dark blue-gray eyes, so dark they glint black on occasion. She is 16-and-a-half years old, born in late feburary... she doesn't remeber the date. She's been at the Facility for all of her life. When Farin escaped she was training in the Facility training room. She didn't know Farin, but other Tendits talking about him like he was some kind of hero or something. Many tried to escape after. They were so 'inspired'. Starling never felt that way. She'd seen Farin once, a while ago. He was walking through the halls. He had a way of holding his head high, a glint of pride in his eyes she had thought was foolish. He was a haughty fool filled with drivel and stupid ideas. She didn't feel sorry when she'd heard he'd died, nor did she feel bad about 'missing' her chance to escape. It wasn't all that great in the outer world, was it? Anyway, aside from the times when she got beaten for misbehaving, or when she was punished for not finishing the exercise in time, it really wasn't all bad in the Goldhawk Facility anyway. Starling speaks over 60 different languages. She knows how blend into crowds, and has wonderful social graces. She knows which fork is the salad fork, and which spoon not to use when eating soup. She can laugh at jokes she doesn't understand, and knows when to smile and nod. She's agile and skilled in hand-to-hand combat, different kinds of swordplay, and shooting. She knows how to use a bow and arrow also, although it's not her area of expertise. She's a strong flyer, and very diligent in her work. For that diligence, she's been rewarded with time to visit other tendits on occasion (but the only tendit she really cares about so far is her brother, Draven). She is also sent out on missions. Normally to kill or seize a rebel captain or leader, or to wrangle tendits who've escaped. Sometimes she oversees the punishments of rebellious tendits. (Using 'good' tendits to punish rebel tendits is a clever tactic often used by the Goldhawks, to break the spirit of the rebels, and to make them think they are alone in their cause). She never knew her mother, Elaine, since Elaine had died during childbirth. That is why Starling tends to cling to her brother, Draven... So much that in the begining, she would have fits which verge into hysteria if she was forced to train and live without her brother. Scientists took pity and allowed her time to be with him. She isn't like that anymore, but it was a big problem when she was younger. She has one main weakness, which only Draven knows about.

Starling has a perfect figure, slim and muscular. She's average hight, and very light wieght. Her wings are a beautiful, shimmering blue. The color varys from lights to darks. She doesn't like how bright they are, though, and as a perk for being 'good' was allowed to dye them black, although they still have a blue tint when under certain light, much resembling that of a crow's. She has straight black hair and a fair-to-tan complexion.
One rifining characteristic about her is she knows how to fold her wings so they look like a shawl. Another is that her presence tends to set people at ease. She comes across friendly if not a little shy, and very nonjudgemental. Her very smile makes you like her. Her laugh is sweet, and intoxicating.

Image

Draven, is the older twin. He was in the halls when Farin was breaking out. Farin had actually asked for his help. Draven had wanted to help, too, but couldn't risk leaving without his sister. Mostly because he knew she wouldn't be able to handle it without him. He was used to being there for her and it wouldn't feel right leaving her. So instead of helping Farin, he'd broken free from his gaurd (he'd only had one.. he was a trusted tendit, known for being good and obediant, if not sulky) - he ran as fast as he could to training room B, where he knew Starling would be. He rushed through the door, but the gaurds seized him before he could get to her. She didn't even know he was there. He never told her, either, because when the got the chance to talk the first thing she'd said was that she was glad she was inside when it'd happened. Because she wouldn't have left. Because it was a 'cruel, harsh world' outside the facility doors. She'd been on missions without him, and he supposed that she'd be one to know what it was like, so he let it be. He must've been wrong. Of course he was wrong. Starling was right, it was safe here.. with the Goldhawks. This was home.
Draven is strong, and tall. He has black hair, but unlike his sister, his eyes are not dark, they are a blue-gray like a sheet of ice, or stormy clouds on a wintery blue sky. They are icey and untrustworthy eyes, but also intruiging. He is well trained with all weapons and most combat skills.. He is more blunt when talking to other tendits, more honest. He lacks motivation when training, and although he does have the abilty and intelligence to be very skilled, he lacks a sense of motivation which his sister does not. He has different veiws than she does, and is less trusting of the Goldhawks, although he still works for them as they wish. Draven is a vegetarian, not because he wants to 'save the animals' but because meat and dairy do not sit well with him without him taking a pill for his conidition. Thus he normal stays a veagan/vegetarian diet. Draven and Starling are fraternal twins - not identical, so they have less physical appearance in common. He and his sister were born in feburary 14th - Valentine's day.
Draven has a couple jackets made for him with special flaps for his wings to fold into, wich make no bulge at all, making him look human. A few shirts also do this - for springtime. He only wears them on missions, which he's only been on one of.

:{Andrew is a sandy blonde, of the age of 6, with light brown hazel eyes and lanky features. 3'8" tall, and approx. 40lbs.

Ħσω'∂ ʏσʋ ɢɛт нɛяɛ?

:{Andrew was born outside the facility, his mother having escaped before his birth. His mother was a woman by the name of Ginger Marie Parrish, originally Brookes. She was an experiment. She had the rare gene and such, and had a daughter, Tabitha. But though Ginger escaped, her daughter didn't, and she had spent the rest of her life trying to get her back. She and her husband, Emil Felix Parrish, died in one such attempt, leaving their son Andrew in the care of one Sherry and Larry Hage. He's now looking for his sister, with their help. She would be about twelve.

:{Andrew's silly, worse yet, rambunctious, as he has not yet grasped war and figured out horrid the world he lives in is. But that's his highest strength...maybe his weakness too. Part of the problem is a low sense of self-control. He's never quiet. But he's six, so it's acceptable. Restless and jumpy hes just a ball.

She is very sweet, and caring. She loves to sing, and she has some special enhancement affects. She loves nature, and loves to be with people. She looks very fragile, when really, she is one of the strongest people you'll ever meet.
          history
She was taken into the prison at birth. Like all the others, she was treated horribly and had to start training at the age of 4. Though, she didn't like it at all. She would hide in a little trunk at the end of her bed sometimes just to get away from training. When she got to big for it, she started hiding wherever she could. She decided she needed to get out when she was about 13 years old, and tried many things. She has multiple scars from her multiple attempts now. Finally, when she was 14, she cut a whole in the fence at the training yards. It was 2 in the morning, so she managed to steal a machete cabinet, and has kept it ever since.

Manipulating people; Singing; Flattering her way out of things; She is very strong
          weaknesses
She is not that fast; Cannot work alone

She was given labels. Why? She loved music so much, so she would hum tunes she had made up. When, and if, the guards, or whomever, heard her they would brand her. They told her if she loved music so much, they would hurt her with it. Just to make sure she didn't like it. Though, she still did. They never changed it. They told her it would make her weak, and almost everyday, she was branded. So, now they look like tattoos, and they are music notes and such. Here is an example:

Shaylee is a friendly waitress at Rusty's nightclub. She manages the other waitresses and all the patrons there respect her. She also cleans up afterhours with Rusty, just because. She's a doctor, although not many people know that. She helps tendits whenever she can. She's a supporter of the rebellion, and is strongly against Goldhawks. Her father was a general in the navy before a Goldhawk missile killed him. She moved out of the William household when she was 18, and moved into Estrella City, being the only one of her kin there. She began a fast friendship with Rusty, and learned about his club. She decided to join on as a waitress there to help any tendits that came by. The reason she never works as a doctor anywhere is because most hospitals are under Goldhawk control and supervision. She doesn't have a boyfriend or a terribly high abundance of friends in general.. but she's sweet and always aims to please. Shaylee has always been very self-concious about her height and hasn't gone a day without wearing heels after her fifteenth birthday. She has pretty, long, blonde hair which she straightens and then curls with an iron.

Name: Devon Lucas Jones, codenamed Vespertilio ("Bat" in Latin). Devon goes by the name "Hawke" in mocking memory of his past at the facility.
Height: 5'11"
Eye Color: Hazel brown.
Hair Color: Light brown, or in certain light a very, very dark honey.
Age: Seventeen
History: Devon lived with scientists ever since he was three. He had no idea what happened to his mother, but only assumed she was killed after being exposed to a chemical during a rebel attack on the base which made her unable to conceive children and therefore became useless to the Goldhawks. He was jostled between instructors and handlers, but none could seem to get through to him. He was a quick learner but never obedient. He was always more willing to be punished than to obey. He had a huge amount of anger toward the Goldhawks for killing his mother (or so he'd assumed) and for treating him poorly. He learned especially well the art of swordplay, although he had shaky hands so aim with guns wasn't his strongsuit. The nickname "Vespertilio" meaning "Bat" in Latin came from the saying about him "Bat out of hell" which described his ferocity and agility. The scientists generally didn't like him because he was very untrustworthy and almost beat one to death on two occasions. He was a friend of Farin's, and escaped with Farin.
Personality: Hawke grew up angry. He was always a fighter at heart and not one to give up easily for the sake of others.. For his own sake, that was a different story. His own wellbeing never seemed a cause worth fighting for until he'd met Fairn. He had the tenacity to stick to his resolve and refused to be taught otherwise during training. Although he does have a strong opinions about the goldhawks, that doesn't mean he doesn't have his soft spots. Although never willing to trust a human too easily, Hawke is always willing to help a fellow tendit in need. He despises those who stayed in the facility to work for the goldhawks. He is overall generally a very pleasant person, although violent if brought to anger. He can be brought into bouts of sadness if his mind lingers on his mother too long. He never talks about his past or his mother.
Other: Hawke has one very big secret; he's a tendit hiding in plain sight. He did something so nobody would ever know who he really was. To hide his identity and secure freedom forever. Also to reject his past life no matte the consequence of pain. (You'll find out exactly what this is later on).

It was well into evening when Espy awoke, disoriented she reached for the bedside table that had been there her entire life. When she hit the horn instead it startled her so much she nearly gave herself a concussion on the roof of the car. Everything flooded back as she realized where she was and how she had gotten there. She was woozy and her wing hurt badly. On top of that she was starving. She didn't know how long she'd been asleep and had no idea how many days it had been. Hoping no one had heard the horn go off she decided to explore her surroundings and see if she could find anything to eat, and drink. She was parched. She felt like she had eaten paper and her lips were so chapped the very air in the room stung.

There was a draft coming in and looking for the source she realized she hadn't closed the door all the way to the shop. She pulled it to, and then meandered about the shop finding a good number of tools, two cans of drink powder, but there was no water to make it with, and a few un-labled cans in the back of a cabinet, as well as a small first aid kit. It was mostly empty but it would have to do. Bandaging her wing as best she could she set the first aid kit aside. Then she analyzed the contents of the car to see what she had managed to escape with.

"Hmm," she thought, "not bad for being on the run."

A leatherette vest, a long bow, no arrows though she could make some, a short knife, and a loaded revolver. Wishing she'd have had the sense to grab a rifle, or at least a stellar ray, she would have to make due with what she had. Resourceful as always, and feeling like someone or something, was on her side, she set about the task of organizing what she had into a pack fashioned from some cording and drop cloth, and thanked heaven she had ended up somewhere that she could use as a base and with enough metal to start the process of making arrowheads. Then cracking open one of the cans with a chisel and an old wrench ate cold soup, with if it did little for her hunger, helped with her thirst.

She peeked out the windows at the surrounding buildings and spotting a sign "2nd and Ribbon? Fabulous. Just fabulous." Espy had meandered her way right into the middle of Goldhawk territory. Her heart sunk. This would never do.

Tabitha:

Tabitha sat in fetal position, crying silently, afraid and alone in her dark alleyway. Running wasn't easy. Flying was even more taxing. She had managed to make her ankle stop hurting after the crash she had suffered two hours before. However, she was exhausted. Tabs had flown for what felt like hours, and had only made it as far as Neon. She knew this much. Neon and twenty-eighth was a bad place to be. At least she wasn't at Ribbon, right?

Tabitha yawned, but knew she shouldn't let herself fall asleep here. So she put on her jacket and tucked her wings in. The old abandoned nightclubs and neon lights that had given the street its name were casting strange shadows and giving poor Tabs the creeps. She whimpered quietly and, holding her arm for psychological support, continued walking. The young Tendit looked around at her shifty surroundings, and in all her twelve years she had never seen something quite so strangely terrifying.

Tabs sneaked into the most 'together' nightclub and hid behind the bar counter. There wasn't anyone around, but Tabitha was still wary. She looked around for the bathroom keys to lock herself away safely. But even if she found the keys, they wouldn't do much good without food and water. She rose to her knees and reached up to the faucet, checking if it was still functioning. She saw a popcorn machine and was relieved. However, when she went to turn it on, there was no power. She sighed and frowned. With no electricity, her food supply would run out quickly.

She just had to pick the club with the power off. Yeesh. Tabitha looked around again and spied a jar of nuts. Huh. Classy place. She grabbed the pecans and a jug. She took the keys off the hook and went to the bathroom, where Tabitha filled her jug. Ignoring the writing on the stall she sat down on the tile floor and ate a handful of stale pecans. She began to shiver and looked at the not-yet-locked door. Tabs put down the container and walked back out to the dining area and grabbed a tablecloth to use for a blanket.

After gathering the necessary survival materials, she drudged back to the bathroom and set herself up in the handy-capped stall. At this point, she was sure anyone would be suffering from a handicap. At least a mental one.
