ＴＨＥ ＹＥＡＲ is 1963. picture yourself sitting in a large,
open room, with tens of thousands of people seating beside you,
all of their eyes focused on the stage before them. a young man,
henry t. walsh, flashes a charming smile at the crowd before
gripping a pretty girl's waist tightly. the girl, dolly greene,
giggles as the pair dip and twirl on stage, putting on quite the
show for their eager audience. as the dance ends, henry heads
backstage, and all the rest of the actors and actresses come on
stage to take their bows. nobody really notices that henry is
missing, thy're too busy cheering and whooping for the cast.
but they notice the smoke. it is thick and black, and it reaches
the front rows quickly. no one has really realized what is going
on yet, they're still screaming and whistling, but you can see the
dark cloud overhead. as you struggle to escape, it seems as if the
warm, sweaty bodies are closing in around you, and you know
that you have no chance of escaping this. seconds pass, and then
the screams start. you watch as henry burst from backstage,
clutching a bucket full of water in his fingers. the tailcoat of his
suit is bright with orange flames, dancing wickedly in front of the
crowd. this is not the show they came here to see, they realize. it
has all gone horribly wrong. as they audience struggles to escape,
you feel someone's boot kick you on the back, and you are trampled
by people. from the ground, you can see nothing, but you can hear
the screaming, and you can definitely smell it. minutes pass, and
you feel your eyelids drooping. you die to the smell of burning cotton.

after the fact…
the only survivors of the fire were henry t walsh, dolly greene, william
smith, annie lou, jack evernet, and rebecca louis. henry was accused of
starting the fire, but found innocent. they are all part of the cast. the
characters are pre-made.

ＨＥＮＲＹ Ｔ. ＷＡＬＳＨ
twenty-two ; male ; single ; `au revoir

henry is a fun, sweet guy who
just loves the ladies. to him,
life is all fun and games, and
he prefers to live it while he
can, as well as he can, rather
than wasting it being a factory
worker or having an office job.
henry adores acting, it's his one
true love, and he's excellent at
it, too. he found his exciting
life come to a screeching halt,
though, after the fire, as he
became one of the most hated
men in america. the 22 year
old became sullen and depressed,
and the old, happy henry was
finally gone.

william smith was known as the
'goody-two-shoes' of the boys &
the girls, too. he was always
willing to lend a helping hand,
and even do things for people,
like chores and assignments. he
never, ever said no to anybody,
and he hated girls with a fierce
passion. he wouldn't touch one
with a twelve-foot-long pole. it
was a shame, though, because
a large number of girls liked him.
he grew up with his divorced dad,
who used to tell him how cruel
his mom had been, and that women
were the devil in disguise. he said
that whenever he saw a woman,
he made sure to spit at her feet, just
to show her that she's dirt. will
didn't spit, of course, that would be
rude, but he tried to avoid girls and
women as much as possible.

ＪＡＣＫ ＥＶＥＲＮＥＴ

jack was the 'badass'. he always
had a girl hanging off his arm, and
a cigarette between his teeth.
whenever he wasn't preoccupied
smoking or sucking face with girls,
he was smirking. it was crooked
and made him look so boyish that
everyone just fell at his feet.
he got into fights, lots of them,
after the fire. he'd be away from
home for days, and when he
returned it was always sporting a
black eye or split lip. he drank a
lot, too – pretty much any time he
was bored. before the fire he'd
been as tame as will. now he was
a wild animal, ready to be freed
from the zoo enclosure.

ＤＯＬＬＹ ＧＲＥＥＮＥ

dolly was the biggest star of the
times. she had been henry's best
friend, throughout grade school,
and beyond as well. after the
fire, though, he refused to talk
to her or pay her any attention.
she was angry ( understandably )
and lashed out at him. now, the
two are rivals, and are neck to
neck in almost everything they
do. dolly is too proud to admit,
though, that she misses henry.

annie had a temper. if you got on
her bad side, you had to be prepared
for her assault at any moment. she
held long grudges, and even the
most insignificant thing would make
her furious. after she began to date
jack evernet, though, her anger was
dimmed. after the fire, the two split
apart, and the fiery redhead the world
knew as annie was gone. she became
a quiet, sweet girl who was nice and
very patient. secretly though, she
( and jack ) missed the 'bad' side of her.

rebecca was the definition of
perfect: blonde hair, perfect skin,
and a great body – the only thing
she was missing was blue eyes!
she didn't have the most incredible
personality, though; rebecca was
loud, opinionated, and dramatic.
if something didn't go her way, she
threw a fit. red shoes instead of
pink ones? they'd have to buy a new
pair, not to mention a new window!
but she had a few things going for
her, fortunately. she was smart, and
studying to become a lawyer, and she
had an amazing sense of humor.

xxxxxxxxthe one who was blamed

↪ ↪ isaac rensen: 16-years-old, and a contestant in the hunger games. his widowed mother, katherine, has had her worst nightmares realized; all three of her sons, and both of her daughters have been ion the hunger games. most of district eight agrees that the rensen family is, by far, the most unlucky family in the district. isaac's father, john, died before isaac was born. he was killed by the peacekeepers for attempting to organize a riot, and isaac has always hated that he never knew his father.
↪ ↪ isaac isn't the best fighter. he's decent with throwing knives, and is particularly skilled with a sword, due to the fencing lessons his older brother, steven, gave him. isaac true love, though, has always been archery. although he can hardly shoot at all, the rare shots he does make are nearly perfect. he's itching to get his hands on a bow and a quiver of arrows.
