[ Cybil & Amos ]
"On the whole, human beings want to be good,
but not too good, and not quite all the time..."

Amos smirked at Violet, his brown eyes
twinkling with mirth as he listened to Hayden
stumble over his words. "It's pretty obvious
isn't it Haydee?" Dark eyes scanned over the
girl before Amos nodded to himself, assured
that he had the right impression of her.
When he next spoke, his eyes stayed on
Violet, though the explanation was for the
healer more than anyone. "The alpha
is your brother. Which means you're
alpha born. But you're stuck as an apprentice
to a healer. A rank normally given at pup
hood. My guess is that something happened,
and you got weak. Weak enough for your
brother to be assigned alpha instead
of you. But he didn't tell you. So you're
ticked." The words were soft, and it
was hard to be mad at such a blunt truth
when it was spoken in a voice of honey.
Amos expected a slap nonetheless, and prepared
himself for defense by tensing up, eyes still
carefully trained on girl in front of him.
If he had guessed right, she'd probably be angry
at a mere omega reminding her of such
a history.

A small sigh escaped the Beta's lips as she
sat up, fingers tapping against her mattress. She could not
stay hidden in her room for long. As a beta, her life was
dedicated to the pack. Another long winded sigh, and the
blonde beauty pushed herself to her feet, stretching and
looking around. She could go to the woods. Patrol while the
others were eating dinner.
With a plan in mind, the girl threw on a hoodie and headed
downstairs, slipping out the front door without so much as
a creaky floor board beneath her feet. As soon as the fresh
air hit her face, the beta shifted, body molding into a small,
almost undersized wolf with a long tail and russet fur.
Setting off into the woods was easy, as the beta had already
spent time exploring pack territory in her previous visits to
scout out the cabin. The wind was biting, but it helped to
clear her head, and brought with it a kaleidoscope of scents.
Including a wolf scent that she didn't recognize. Curious, the
beta began padding along, sniffing for the trail of the
strange wolf. It was only when a dark pelt came into sight,
that she realized the scent belonged to a loner.
Stepping forward, the beta let her gaze stay trained on
him, icy orbs of curiosity. "This is pack land you know..."
