Aspens eyes lot up slightly when he mentioned science. She was surprised at how they already had so much in common, even there fathers where both scientists "I love science to. It's practically my life really. I also love technology as well. It's quite fun to mess around with computers and things" Aspen said, a small laugh following her statement. Aspen was always shut up in her room working on something sciency, whether it was mixing chemicals pr even just rebuilding a computer. If she wasn't doing one of these two things she was usually reading books in a quiet area. "My father is a scientist as well. I seemed to have followed in his footsteps, though he never really is home to he with the family" Aspen gave a sigh though the smile did not leave her face. She never really minded her father being gone to much, but at times missed him a lot. Her mother never really understood the whole science thing and sometimes it would be nice to have someone to talk to other than her annoying twin brothers.

You can probably just start by having your characters get to school (I don't think the school day has even started yet o3o) and talk to some of the people milling about. Kaden Lange :: Mockingbird

Kaden laughed as Quinn shrugged his arm off of his shoulder. "Why you gotta be so cold, man?" He teased, ruffling the blond's hair just to peeve him. Quinn has always been a touch hostile, which only made him more interesting to Kaden, because who in their right mind didn't like Kaden Lange? He was awesome. "I swear, this kid's just got a personal rain cloud, dampening his vibe 24/7." Kade gossiped as he bopped fists with Althaia. He played it off cool, but it bugged him just a little bit that Quinn so visibly disliked him, especially when he didn't understand what it was exactly that made him so unlikable to the boy in the first place. Kaden was a good kid, always did his chores, took care of little kids, biked to and from school. For the environment, you know. Not because he didn't have money for a car or a bus pass. Totally for the environment, and his health, and whatever. He was nothing but friendly, even if he did pick on his friends sometimes, but he picked on those who he knew could take it and understand he didn't mean anything rude by it. But somehow still, Quinn just did not seem to like him, or even warm up to him at all.

That was an issue for later though, right now there were celebrating. Kaden glanced down at the unnaturally short brunette poking him in the chest. Or perhaps he was just unnaturally tall? Regardless, he had to drop his gaze a foot to make eye contact with Katie, which he found slightly amusing, especially given her humongous personality packed into such a tiny body. "Oh princess, you know I do try to offend as many people in one go as possible." He said sarcastically, placing a hand earnestly over his heart. "You know Id never make a jab at your intelligence. Besides, where would I be if I wasn't copying your homework? Well, maybe a grade or two higher..." He winked at Katie, flashing her a charming smile. He truthfully held a great amount of respect for her, and he knew she could handle his teasing, which is why he laid it down on her all the time.

It was an interesting morning, quite actually. Kyczar sat snoring away in the game chair, unaware how he was two minutes past his normal wake up; the controller sat blinking in his lap—in need of a battery charge. "Kyczar, dear are you awake?" A bright Aunt Tessa poked her head into the room and laughed for a short period at the sight. "Wait what?" The brunette groggily snapped awake, letting out a groan as he laid back. He didn't feel like getting up, but he rolled off the chair and stood slowly. Eyes blinking away the rest of whatever sleep was left. Kyczar managed to bring a small smile to his face at his aunt, even if he wasn't a morning person. Ever. "I already have a shower running for you, and breakfast is also done." Jeez, what did this woman eat to give her this much energy in the morning? He brushed past her and moved towards the bathroom. He hurried to tear off his clothing and stepped in. Hot water rolling down his shoulder as soon as he stepped into the standing shower.

He didn't feel a need to give his hair a full out do today, so he ran his fingers through thick brunette hair and brought it up slightly, ridding the small amount of gel that was deposited on his fingers. He was already dressed, and soon enough was sitting down at the kitchen table to eat. "Slow down, you could choke. Boy I didn't realize you were that hungry Ky!" Tessa joked and patted his shoulder as she passed by. "I'm a growing man, my need to eat is very large." He smiled over at her and stood up from his seat to go along and place his dish in the empty sink. "Boy," she corrected, shaking her head. "Not so quite a man just yet. Now I have a late shift this evening, will you be okay?" Tess handed him his backpack, and leaned up to give him a hug. "Yes, I'm fine.. As long as you bring home food." She laughed and ushered me out the door with a shake of her head.

He hurried along out of the apartment building, change in his hand to ride a bus as he sped walked with long strides down the pavement. He was waiting next to assign, already spotting the white and blue vehicle rolling towards the stop. He let out a yawn, pulling his black hat more over his ears and crossed his arms over his chest. Now Kyczar was extremely social with other people, but today he couldn't find anything in himself to talk to anyone, not even a good morning to the driver as he handed her change. He stepped over and sat down beside an old lady who must be on for awhile because she was knitting something close to a scarf. The two boys across from him were staring Kyczar down like a piece of meat, and the lady on his other side didn't know what personal space was, clearly. Oh how he hated riding the bus.

Kai Humphrey ● 17 ● Human ● Male
"You have nothing on me!" Kai laughed, "I've broken both arms, my left leg and torn countless ligaments!" Kai said this like he was proud of his injuries, and in truth, he was. Kai believed that injuries were the sign of trying and that If you didn't get hurt or dirty, you weren't doing it right. Kai looked over to Thaia, It was a funny story how they met, one of Kai's favourites actually. They had met in the hospital, Kai had broken his arm, Althaia her leg. They spent hours trading funny stories one being how they ended up in there in the first place. Kai had thought it hilarious how Althaia had fallen down the stairs in her house, and Thaia laughed when Kai told her that he tripped over kiddie playground equipment. Kai looked over to Althaia, who was in conversation with Katie and Kaden, and smiled at her fondly. Kai considered Althaia his sister and felt very protective over her, and it frustrated him when she couldn't help her. Recently she had been acting off, but she insisted that she was fine. Even though it made Kai feel bad, Quinn, Amy and himself have talked about it and they put it down to grieving. She had recently lost one of the most precious people in he life, her 'uncle' Andrew. Kai had tried to help her, but Althaia being who she was, acted as If there was nothing wrong, and nothing hurt Kai more than not being able to help her. "Are we still on for to tonight?" Kai asked Putting his arm around her shoulder.

Quinn Edan ● 17 ● Cyclone ● Male
Quinn frowned and slicked back his now messed up hair. In truth he didn't overly dislike Kaden, he just got on his nerves a little. Quinn had spent many years learning to deal with not only Althaia's personality, but Kai's too. Quinn had taken a long time to warm up to Kai, getting used to his over confident, slightly overpowering personality, and he suspected it would be the same with Kaden. Quinn was just in a bit of a mood today, and it reflected in the storm. The rain started to fall faster and thunder rumbled. Quinn's job at the station was going down hill. His research was going well, but his superiors were being extremely rude and he was getting overloaded. For now he just shrugged it off and went back to his conversation with Aidah.

Althaia Hilton ● 17 ● Black Bird ● Female

Althaia smiled at Kai, "Yup" then she turned back to the rest of the group. "Hey" she said, "Kai, Amy and Quinn are coming over to my place for a sleep over tonight, since it's the end of the week and all" She directed her next words at Katie, Kaden and Aidah, "My parents are out at a business trip over the weekend, and my siblings are going over to friends houses, would you three like to join us?" Althaia's green contacted eyes practially glowed, "we can have pizza and watch movies, all sorts of stuff!" Altaia was excited now, "Please say you'll come!"

Tony woke up to the sound of classic rock. His "butler" already placing clothes on the end of his bed. A cup of tea mixed with coffee slid from a hole in the wall and the semi monotone voice of the program running through the system. 'Sir, would you like me to get a taxi ready for you to head to school?' Tony, having slipped his shirt on, looked at the hologram image of the butler and nodded. 'Sir, there was a terrible storm last night causing me to turn emergency power on and then shut the main power out so as to not have a shortage and make everything restart.' The hologram disappeared as Tony walked through it. He grabbed the cup and sat in his work chair. Rolling over to the nearest computer he played games until he was notified of the taxi.

Tony slammed the door shut on the cab as he sauntered up the steps of the high school. He already wanted to go home, but there wasn't really anything for him there either. Making his way to home room, he bumped into Barry. 'now my day got lots better,' Tony said to himself sarcastically as they made their way down the hallway to math.

Barry woke up slowly to the sound of his alarm. Seeing that he had over slept to the point that he would be late, he sprinted into a red streak and arrived at the school fully dressed and with an apple in hand. He bounded up the steps and into the old high school. Opening his locker and grabbing his backpack, he looked around and quickly dashed to his first hour class, hoping no one had noticed him.

After leaving the room, Barry saw Tony and quickly darted over to the genius. "Heya Tony! Hows it going? Did you find another girl?...." He spat questions out like a gun, but soon stopped realizing that he had yet again annoyed his friend.

Steve had shown up an hour before anyone else. This concluded in him sitting outside for thirty minutes and then spending the rest of that time in the library reading books and doing homework. He never really had a home life so school was where he had the most fun. Getting a headache, he put his head on the table and closed his eyes. The next thing he knew, kids were yelling and screaming in the hallways, having woke him up. Wiping up some spittle, he collected his books, put them back on the shelves and headed out for the main hallways. His red white and blue flannel shirt helping blend him into the crowd. Steve quietly made his way to home room only to see a red streak go across his path twice. 'So the general was right in saying that other super powered beings exist,' he though and made his way to homeroom.
