Soushi waited, politely and pleasantly, for her to finish with her thoughts, he allowed her to delve into them as he was aware he'd been doing it all day. He didn't mind waiting right now, his stomach was full and he was in that dull content state of mind one experiences when a good meal fills them up, and they want to curl up and sleep to let it digest. If he were a cat, he would be purring.

"You're not a bother, I just like letting people think they bother me." He replied, with that cheeky grin slapped across his features. She had bothered him for a small while, when they had been fighting, but he was getting used to her presence, he was enjoying the company of another living thing. "I'll admit I've never been to a festival with someone else before, I can't remember the last time I had this much..." He hesitated, His eyebrows knitting together as he tried to think for the word "Fun..." He blinked before nodding "Fun." He repeated, sure of himself this time.

That probably sounded odd to her, but he didn't dwell on it as he walked along beside her. His eyes found the material of her clothes, He might not full understand the history of this country and it's people, but he liked such finely crafted things, the patterns might be marred with mud, but his eyes were much keener than those of the average human being. He'd never noticed the way clothes fit a person before, but he thought that such an item suited Sachiko. His mind went to a place it never had before, women, and he found himself confused over it. Perhaps he'd stayed here too long...

Sachiko Kobayashi

"THE POPULAR"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Apologetic, a tad stubborn | Currently: At the Hanami Festival

Sachiko laughed out loud, her cheeks a warm and rosy colour. One could still see mud on her face, but the hint of her rosiness was visible beneath the marks. "Oh, do you now." She said this more as a statement, as if to confirm with mostly herself that he did those things just to make people feel like they were bothering him. She glanced over at him, her dark brown eyes twinkling. "You're a funny guy, you know that?" Feeling a little more comfortable, now knowing that she wasn't being a bother to him, she pulled her arms back, stretching before placing her hands back at their usual sides. Her eyes then pricked up when he said something else, where he had plain out told her that he hadn't been to a festival with someone before. What's more, he was having fun with her, which Sachiko took graciously as a compliment. It was probably hard for him to admit that he was having fun with her, so she paid no mind to him struggling to find the word "fun".
She positively beamed up at him as she walked a little forward, turning around to face him as she walked backwards. They were well past the park now, and were on the home-stretch to her house. "Well, I hope that I've been one host that you'll never forget." she winked, as she placed her hands behind her back, her messenger bag swinging to and fro. She cocked her head, nearly groaning as she turned to go back and walk beside him. "Actually, to tell you what I think... I don't think that you'll forget me." She paused. "I'm definitely not trying to be cocky, no way- but like... y'know, we met by arguing at each other, you watched me eat like a barbarian, and you saw me be a complete klutz and trip over an empty soda can." She counted these off with her fingers. "Anything that I'm missing?" She wondered aloud, bringing her hands back down to her sides. "But, anyways, yeah. If anything, I should be memorable." She laughed nervously, her expression more than embarrassed. "I'm glad that you've been having fun, though!" She said, her smile instantly back on her face. "I hope that you continued to have fun when we get back to the festival." She nodded briskly, making the turns as they approached her house. It was a dark peach mixed with plum colour, and a small balcony stood at the top half of the house. The roof looked strong and sturdy, and the door had a colour that mixed well with the rest of the house. Some windows were seen at the front, and a respectable garden was placed out front. As she approached the door of her house while walking up the straight cement path, she took out her key and took a strong whiff, smelling not only the soiled rain, but the fresh scent of flowers that her Grand-mother liked to grow.
Before unlocking the door, however, Sachiko quickly turned around and held eye-contact with Soushi, biting her lip. Her hands were outstretched to the door behind her, as if she were defending the door from Soushi. "Uhum, before you come inside, there's just one thing you should know." She took a breath and gave him a strong look. "We've only just met, yeah? Yet every single time that I bring a boy home, my Grand-parents seem to think that they're my boyfriend. No matter how much you or I deny it, they'll keep holding their suspicions. So just... pay them no mind, okay? Just, gah, I don't even care anymore. I've been through this like twenty times. But, y'know, don't try and give them any ideas, okay? I mean, okay, playing along is okay, but don't try to like give them an opportunity to have us married right on the spot. Yep, that's happened before." She muttered that last bit underneath her breath. "But other than that, my Grand-parents are perfectly lovely folks. You should like them; they're super friendly. As for my parents, they went out, but they'll be at the festival sooner or later." Turning back around with a final look at Soushi, she popped her key into the lock and slowly pulled the door open. She turned her head back. "I'll just need to change into a new pair of clothes and clean up these ones and my bad. Twenty-five minutes, tops." She nodded once, and then opened the door all the way. "Hey, Grandma, Grandpa! I'm home just for a little bit; I kinda tripped and, uh... fell. I need to get cleaned up." She called out, and she saw her Grandparents peep in from the living room as she slipped off her geta and pulled on a pair of pink house slippers. She pointed to a pair of dark red ones near a set of her boots, indicating that Soushi could wear those ones as her grandparents would probably pull him along into the rest of the house.
The inside of her house was just like any other kind of layout in a modern-day Japanese home; save for a couple of old-fashioned things, such as one or two sliding doors for the kitchen and the living room. The floor was all dark hard-wood, and the walls were a pale colour. The ceiling was fairly-moderate, and it was a humble abode.
Her grandparents were conversing over the small black coffee table, but as soon as they spotted Soushi, well, their eyes widened and they immediately stopped all conversation and rushed over to the pair. To a person who had never met Sachiko's grandparents, they'd probably be surprised at their speed and agility for their age.
"Hello, dear!" her Grandmother said, her skin wrinkled with age. Her grey hair was pulled into a tight bun; similar to her grand-daughter's, and she was wearing a kimono similar to the one that Sachiko was sporting (except it wasn't dirty, and her kimono was a roan red). "Why, you're all dirty! Why don't we get you cleaned up?"
"Oh, no no, I can manage on my own, thank-you-" Sachiko started, but she was immediately cut-off by her grand-mother.
"There's no need to. Super Grandma is here, after all! I can get your clothes cleaned in a flash." Her grand-mother pumped her fist into the air, accenting her "super" skills. "Come along, you're not hurt, are you, dear?"
Sachiko blushed at her grandmother's antics, sparing a glance at Soushi and his reaction before turning back to her grandma. "No, I'm not hurt..." She knew that there was no time to start arguing with her grandma as-to whether or not would get to clean her clothes, since her grandmother was just as stubborn as she was. It'd be like butting heads with an ox of equal strength and smarts. Nah, it just wouldn't work.
Her grandmother rushed her along the stairs, telling her change out quickly and she'd take care of the cleaning when her grand-daughter was getting changed. Sachiko nodded, and gave Soushi an apologetic look; knowing that her grandparents were sure to ambush him when she was quickly getting changed. She'd have to quickly change and give her grandma her kimono before she could be by his side so he wouldn't get bombarded with questions by her Grandpa. "I'll be back." she mouthed, hurrying up the stairs as fast as she could.
That left her grandma awaiting her kimono at the foot of the stairs, and her mischievous grandpa to Soushi. As soon as Sachiko disappeared around the corner of the stairs to the washroom, her grandparents immediately turned to Soushi, giving him a knowing glance. "Now, now, sonny-boy," said Sachiko's grandpa, his voice gruff but strong for his age. He, too, had wrinkles, and had few hairs left on his balding head. He wore a comfortable dark grey gi (Sachiko still never found out why her Grandpa constantly wore one during the daytime; he wasn't into martial arts anymore as he quit a long time ago), and on his feet he wore white socks and dark grey slippers. "How long have you been seeing my grand-daughter, and how come we never knew about this? Do you live near here? What's in your jacket?" He pointed at Soushi's worn jacket. Sachiko's grandpa was awfully nosy, but more about the details. Sachiko's grandmother was nosy about the bigger picture itself.
Sachiko's grandmother popped in, giving Soushi a warm but knowing smile, grabbing hold of his arm as she led him towards the living room, her husband following along. "And what's your name, young man? How nice of you to accompany her home like this in this pouring rain. Would you like some tea? Are you cold? Have you been treating our grand-daughter with respect and care? Do you go to the same school as her? You're certainly a fine looking young man, aren't you?" She stated sweetly, really sugar-coating it on. "Why, I'm positively delighted that my grand-daughter brought home such a nice-looking man as you. What's your name, young man? No need to speak up; our ears aren't all that bad."

"I don't doubt that." Soushi answered as he accompanied her along the road, she was right, she had done quite a bit, and as long as he lived he doubted he would forget her. He'd only walked this earth for twenty years or so, but Sachiko was definitely something a bit different for him, someone he hoped he would be able to continue speaking to. She was the first person, at least in his mind, that he'd actually ever seen, ever bothered to learn anything about, and so far he liked what he heard. He looked up at the house as they approached, already he could tell it was bigger than his house, but with only him and his things living there, there was no reason for it to be big, perhaps his was just crowded, over packed for sure.

He gave a small noise of alarm when she jumped in front of him, a slightly cocky smile then graced his features. Honestly, he could surely handle a pair of old people, in fact he knew he could because he had done so before. Elderly humans were perhaps the easiest targets for him, not that he'd ever say that to Sachiko, or anyone else for that matter. However, he nodded along and forced his smile into a more polite one.

He played the polite, innocent house guest quite well, and obeyed Sachiko's rule, he leaned down to unlace the relatively heavy boots on his feet, they were probably more equipped for snow, but the only things he had that were water proof, he'd never purchased Wellies and for whatever reason he could move quietly in boots unlike most others, even with his feminine little frame. The ginger boy remained knelt on the floor for several moments though, frozen, observing the small scene that folded out before him.

Being a young deity, basic human interaction wasn't something he had much knowledge with, meaning when he heard the way that they spoke to one another his eyes glazed over a bit... The way that they cared for each other, the tender touches exchanged and the general warm atmosphere, when he heard that he felt a surge of loneliness rise up from his stomach. Soushi wondered if other beings such as him ever felt this way, some had company, or at least knew about one another and where they could find others, but not him, He was all alone in the world.

No, he was better than this. Pulling on the red slippers as instructed, he righted himself just in time to catch the words mouthed to him from Sachiko. Before he was bombarded by her grandparents. Wrong, he had been so wrong when he thought he could deal with all this. Even for a God this was too many questions to deal with and in his attempts to answer them all, he began to bumble like a fool until he realised and clamped his mouth shut until he had a real chance to talk.

Watching the elderly pair for a moment, just to make sure they had finally stopped with the questions, be began to try and answer the ones he had heard. "My name is Harada Soushi, but most people call me Sou for short." He spoke slowly, not because he was trying to insult them, simply because he was suddenly unsure of himself, He didn't know if he was supposed to be respectful, because he was posing as a seventeen year old boy, or whether he should be his usual charming self so they wouldn't want him for their in-law. "I...I don't attend her school, I only met your grand-daughter about an hour ago at the Hanami Festival But I wanted to make sure she got here safe, and I must politely decline the tea." he nodded as he spoke, going through the list of questions asked in his head, he then smiled, quite sure he'd gotten them all. But he didn't make it over zealous, He didn't want to seem cocky as he was quite sure these two loved Sachiko very much and would protect her from him if they saw him as a danger.

(( I apologize for a later response! ))

Sachiko Kobayashi

"THE POPULAR"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Flushed | Currently: At her house

Sachiko felt her stomach bubbling around in an anxious manner as she hurried to the washroom, quickly stripping herself of her dirty kimono and bag. As soon as she peeled them off, she could clearly see exactly how dirty she had gotten them, and she sighed heavily. She hung both upon two hangers that sat on the wall beside the shower, and watched as the mud dripped down occasionally into the tub. "Ew," she mumbled, turning on the tap so that the water could absorb the mud for a quick bit. Stepping into the tub itself, Sachiko grabbed a bar of soap and ran it under the water before scrubbing her knees and arms clean. Some mud had seeped through in those areas, and she really wanted to get herself clean before she changed into fresh clothes. As soon as she scrubbed it all off, she decided that her underwear was not dirty, and kept it on as she stepped out, wiping herself with her towel and rubbing her feet upon the dark red mat below to dry it. She looked at herself in the mirror, groaning a little at seeing the mud on her face. Making quick work of her face washers, she easily got her face cleaned before she exited the washroom- but not before taking another glance at her dripping kimono and bag. She really wanted to wash her kimono and bag herself, since she had gotten it dirty in the first place, but she decided not to, because she knew that her Grandma would be quick to give her a stubborn rant about how she should have done it, and how, in her old age, she needed to be "active" and not let others do all the work (even if things weren't her fault). She didn't want to be some sort of "old prune rotting away on the futon". Sachiko found herself giggling a little, remembering her Grandmother's response as she entered her bedroom.
Sachiko's bedroom was a normal-sized bedroom, and it fit her personality well. The walls were a simple white, as well as the ceiling, and the floor was a dark-hardwood just like downstairs. Her bed sat on the left side of the room, covered with a rosy pink blanket and a white pillow. The mattress was covered with red bedding. Pictures in frames decorated the walls as she walked to towards her closet, scouting some fresh clothes to wear. Apart from the pictures, she had other necessities, such as a dresser, a table to do her studies on, a lamp, an overall ceiling light, a rather large window with pale pink curtains, a couple of stuffed animals, a chair and a bean-bag chair, books... just typical teenager things that one would own in a bedroom.
It took her a couple of minutes, but Sachiko soon found a nice outfit to wear: a woolly dark blue sweater, a dark grey pleated skirt, long black panty-hose. She'd wear her heeled dark grey boots that were insanely comfy, and then probably wear her red trenchcoat over-top when she got downstairs to shield her from the rain. And, of course, she'd grab an umbrella from downstairs, as well.
Nimbly getting dressed, Sachiko pulled her hair out of its bun, and decided to let her hair down, combing it with her brush. Her hair was naturally straight, and she placed two bobby-pins in her hair to pin back a portion of her bangs. She now looked a little younger than usual, but she waved it off as she quickly headed downstairs in-record time. She was faster than she thought, taking only about fifteen or so minutes. Quite impressed with herself, Sachiko made it downstairs, nearly slipping with the rate she was going. Plus, her panty-hose made her more prone to falling as the material made it easy for her to slip on hard-wood floor. She instantly saw her grandparents with Soushi in the living room, still attacking him with questions. As per usual, her Grandmother had been the most intent with her questions, although she knew that her Grandpa had probably asked Soushi just a few of his own, as well. She wondered if Soushi had answered any...?
"Grandma, I'm done," Sachiko breathed, leaning a hand against the doorway as she picked up her left foot and adjusted her panty-hose, as it felt uneven there. "My kimono and bag are hanging in the washroom; thank-you." She wondered if she had saved Soushi any trouble with answering any odd or awkward questions, as her grandparents attention was now on hers.
Sachiko's grandmother turned to her. "Oh, Sachiko, you look absolutely lovely!" she purred, clasping her wrinkled hands together as she gazed at her grand-daughter with a sparkle in her eyes. "Doesn't she just look beautiful, Mamoru?"
Sachiko's grandpa grunted his approval, showing his grand-daughter a rare smile.
Sachiko's grandmother then turned to Soushi. "Now, now, Harada-kun; doesn't she look like a beauty?" Her eyes twinkled, hoping to get a reaction from the boy that her grand-daughter brought home.
"G-Grandma!" Sachiko stuttered, not believing her ears. "You- you don't need to ask him that! We just met, and everything..." but she trailed off, her eyes glancing at Soushi in a curious manner, wondering what he thought of her appearance. Ugh, what was she thinking! She didn't want to rely on guys to tell her if she was beautiful, but, it would certainly be nice to hear it (especially from such a nice-looking guy as him). She blushed, looking to the ceiling as she tried to concentrate on anything other than him. But, to no avail- she couldn't. Well, she just hoped that he'd say something, so that they could quickly leave. Sometimes, her grandparents embarrassed her to no end- but she loved them anyways.

Soushi was ultimately grateful for the savior of Sachiko's presence, even if, just the slightest little bit, he'd been enjoying himself. In a strange way he was happy to be questioned by her grandparents. He'd admired her home, perhaps it was time to clean up his own...though hardly anyone lived there and no-one ever visited, so that thought was quickly pushed to the back of his mind as he turned himself and looked at the young girl when she spoke up.

One of his rather perfected thin brows arched upwards when he saw her, and he felt the corners of his mouth tug upwards into the slightest little smile. He found that more figure hugging clothes suited her, at least in his opinion. He almost jumped right out of his skin when he was addressed though, and looked up at Sachiko's grandparents with wide, fearful eyes for but a brief moment until he reigned in his emotions and nodded numbly. "She looks beautiful." He agreed, glancing back at the short girl with a brighter, more alert smile on his lips. He then righted himself and shrugged into his coat a little bit, attempting to compose himself after that lapse in personality.

How odd that had felt. The ginger boy then shook his head to clear it and approached her gingerly. He chose not to speak with his mouth, but his eyes held both an embarrassed and mischievous look at the same time. An odd mixture but evident on his expression never the less.

(Sorry short post.)

(( No worries! ))

Sachiko Kobayashi

"THE POPULAR"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Flustered, concerned | Currently: At her house

Sachiko found herself blushing underneath Soushi's gaze, as he looked at her and what she wore. She found herself blushing even more intensely so when he called her "beautiful", and she stared at him briefly for a few moments with her jaw wide open, before she quickly averted her dark brown eyes to the ground. As he approached her, Sachiko felt her breath catch in her throat, and she gulped slowly before hesitantly looking up at him with the smallest smiles. Although her smile was small, the blush on her cheeks and the gratitude in her eyes did not go unnoticed. "Thank-you," she said softly, her eyes sparkling in happiness. Getting a compliment like that from such a handsome guy as him was surely an achievement. Sure, she was flustered, but that didn't prevent her from speaking- at-least, not at the moment.
Sachiko turned to her grandparents, who had knowing smiles on their faces as they looked at each other, before looking back at their daughter. "Grandma, Grandpa- we'll be heading off, now." Sachiko said, giving them a nod as a "thanks". "Thanks again for taking care of my clothing, Grandma."
"Oh, it's no trouble at all, dear. You two just have fun, y'hear?" Sachiko's grandmother said, smiling smugly.
Sachiko's eyes widened, knowing the double-meaning behind her grandmother's words. "Grandma!" she gasped, giving her a quick shake of the head. "We really aren't dat-"
"Oh, pish, posh." her grandmother said, waving her off. "And take all the time that you need; after-all, it's a festival today, so you can come home whenever you'd like."
"Grandma, really. I'll be home as soon as-"
"No, no. Not to worry, dear. Now, off you go!" She walked over to the pair, giving them a light push on their backs before turning to Sachiko's grandfather, whispering in his ears.
Sachiko only sighed, tugging Soushi along with a light touch of her hand until they reached the front door. Quickly pulling on her heeled boots and placing her red trench-coat on-top of her upper-wear, she grabbed a dark brown umbrella from the umbrella-holder and bade her grandparents a swift "good-bye". They merely waved, a knowing twinkle in their eyes. Sachiko fought the urge to roll her eyes, but she found herself smiling, holding the door open for Soushi to walk of when he was ready to go. "Listen... I'm sorry if my grandparents drowned you in questions." she said to him in a low voice. They hadn't exactly left the house yet, so her grandparents could possibly still hear her. "Were you alright with them?" she asked, her voice laced in concern. She knew all too well that her grandparents were merciless with their questions, so she'd be rather surprised if Soushi was able to handle himself back there. Usually, the guys she brought back to her place would get extremely flustered, and would constantly look to her for help. However, she left Soushi by himself, so she felt a little bad about that- hopefully, he wasn't angry about that.
She peeked up at him- he didn't seem angry, so she just hoped that her hopes would be accurate. If anything, she hoped that he would've been amused. She knew that if she was put in such a situation, she'd find it rather entertaining. Sure, it'd be quite a lot to take in, but it'd be funny to her in the strangest of ways- two old people, barking questions at her like no tomorrow- it certainly made her laugh a little.

Soushi couldn't help but smirk to himself upon hearing the insinuation from Sachiko's grandmother put forward, and as much as he almost wanted to play along, he allowed the girl to pull him out of the house. He stood on the front step and turned to look at her, observing her coat quietly for a moment. She was right, he wasn't angry, he was ecstatic!

"Don't be ridiculous, I quite enjoyed that."
He replied with a dismissive wave of his hand before it was tucked back into his pocket. "It was nice, I've never--" He stopped himself, hesitating as he thought over what he was about to say. He'd very nearly said he'd never known a family, but that would strike her as odd, everyone had known some sort of family, and if not he'd never thought up any sort of back story for this persona he kept up.

"I Never knew My grandparents." He then went on to add, that was more normal, or at lease believable, Since that way she would simply presume they had died before he could meet them. Even if that was a lie, a look of brief sadness crossed his features, for whatever reason, he felt an odd sense of emptiness within himself once more. He then looked away and off down the road to see if the festival could actually be seen from here. Before he turned back to Sachiko "We can get back to the festival now, You're Grandmother is right, we should have some fun." He then chirruped, pushing his miserable thoughts to the back of his mind. Not that he had any doubt Sachiko hadn't been having fun before, she was with him after all. The tall boy slapped on a smile and offered her his arm, choosing playing the gentleman this time, but he'd be okay if she didn't accept it, despite her flustered appearance when he so much as beamed her a flashy smile he didn't think she was some meat headed teenage girl who'd go fawning after just anyone. She was more intelligent than that.

Sachiko breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that he wasn't angry. "Well, good," she said, a hint of a smile playing at her lips. "I'm glad to hear it." She nodded briskly, closing the door behind her with a final wave to her grandparents. She knew that her grandparents would lock the door, so she didn't need to do it this time around.
Out of the corner of her eyes, she heard Soushi say something, and then she saw Soushi extend his arm out towards her, a smile perched upon his handsome face. She giggled, feeling that he was acting like a typical gentleman. She didn't know what her grandparents had discussed with Soushi, but he certainly seemed a little different from before. Certainly not a bad different, for now he acted as a gentleman. She giggled, curtsying with her dark grey pleated skirt. "Why, that sounds like a grand idea!" she said, with a whiff of a British accent. She didn't know where that accent came from, but it seemed fitting to her, as if he were a prince and she was princess- now, where did that thought come about? It seemed absolutely absurd; but the thought still lingered at the back of her mind. Nah... we could never be something more as we are now- right? she thought to herself, her thoughts hesitant. Flashing him a bright smile, she graciously looped her arm through his, so that she ended up on his left side.
As the pair walked outside the area of her house, and to the path back to the festival, Sachiko opened up her umbrella so that it shielded her from the rain. There... much better, she thought to herself, feeling much more snug in her current outfit and definitely more dry. There was also something about her arm locked in his made her feel more comfortable and secure, as if being in his very presence was reassuring and... right.
Turning her attention back to the umbrella, she looked up at the top of her umbrella to Soushi, and wondered if he was fine with just a hood over-top of his head.
With the extra height that her boots provided (but not that much height), Sachiko was able to raise her left arm high enough to bring the umbrella to cover both of their heads, instead of just her own. She felt bad, since she had carelessly forgotten to ask Soushi if he needed to borrow one from her house, so instead, she wanted to be able to cover them both. She felt slightly awkward, holding the umbrella at such an angle, but she didn't mind; not really.
Sachiko remembered Soushi's sentence before they fully left the house- although it was short, it was enough to make Sachiko look over at him with pity in her eyes. "Oh, I'm really sorry to hear about that!" Sachiko said, her eyes knit together in worry. She wanted to grab his hand, for some reason, as if to assure him that it was all going to be okay, but she quickly shook it away as she thought that it might be silly. After-all, it happened (she guessed) before he was born, and she was unsure if he would appreciate the concern over something that happened when he wasn't even alive. "I'm sure that your grandparents would've been really happy to meet you, though! You're not that bad of a guy, I'll give you that." She flashed him a cheeky smile, playfulness evident in her eyes.
With the two walking around arm-in-arm like that, people who passed them by automatically assumed that they were a couple- however, that did not occur to Sachiko, as she stopped thinking about her arm in his, as if it were simply a thing that she did out of habit. Besides, Sachiko didn't linger too long on things unless she really wanted to, and right now, during this moment, she just wanted to concentrate on heading back to the festival. She wanted to go back and enjoy the festivities with the male beside her, and maybe start anew. They had certainly started off on the wrong foot, so, maybe they could make up for that with some other thing. What other thing, she didn't know, but she was certain that she'd come up with something soon.

Soushi was happy she played along with his little act as he nestled his arm in hers, holding it with a relative grip, at least making it clear he didn't want her arm to slide away or for her to pull away from him after the initial joke was over. He'd started to appreciate the contact and was happy for such a small amount of physical interaction.

He walked beside her, looking up at the umbrella that she held over the two of them. It actually crossed his mind to ask if she wanted him to hold it, but shrugged that thought off after a moment, she should feel privileged to be sheltering him. He righted himself, walking with a more upright posture and holding his head up properly again. Regaining some of that lost composure, resuming his high and mighty attitude.

"Thank you...By the way." He murmured after a short pause of simply walking and observing her from stolen glances out of the corner of his eyes "It's good to know I'm not that bad." He teased, looking at her full on once more. He then smiled, a serious and genuine smile back at her "I'm sorry If I ever said anything that upset you when we met first...I didn't really mean any of it I was just in a bad mood." he then muttered, rubbing at the back of his neck gently, playing with the hair that rooted from his neck absently. He didn't want her to think he was going soft, that ego was still there, he still thought humans should be licking his boots for pocket money.

Sachiko Kobayashi

"THE POPULAR"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Relieved, happy | Currently: Walking back to the Hanami Festival

"Hmm?" Sachiko mumbled, her ears pricking up at his "thank-you". She glanced up at him. "Oh, it's no problem at all." she smiled, trying to catch his eye via his numerous glances. She grinned up at his teasing, nodding her head while laughing softly to herself. Her eyes refocussed back on the street ahead of her, before she made a turn that made them to the half-way point for the festival. "Oh, don't even worry about it." she said, waving away his apology. It was funny; before, she would've been totally surprised if he had apologized to her, but now, it was just a nice feeling. She knew that he was being genuinely serious because of the fact that he had a real smile on his face (not one of his cheeky, smug, or cocky ones), and the fact that he looked kind-of nervous apologizing to her. She found it kind-of adorable that he started to play with the hair at the back of his neck; that was usually a sign that Sachiko learned early on that guys were nervous about something or other. And the fact that he was nervous towards her? Definitely different, she'd say that much. However, it was not a bad different at all. It was simply... nice. It was nice to see him acting something other than cool and collected this time. She didn't know how he managed to keep his cool demeanour all the time; as if it were her, she'd definitely lose the cool façade in no time. "Y'know..." she paused, trying to think of the words to say without it sounding totally lame. "... I was pretty adamant on getting you to apologize to me earlier before, yeah? Although... well, now that you've finally apologized, I don't feel any kind of justice. I mean, it's really nice that you apologized to me; and I really appreciate it and I... it's just... I think that I was making too big of a deal out of it before. I really think that I was just exaggerating... like a lot. Who gets that upset over a simple push, anyways?" She sighed. "I'm normally one to just let it go and I'll rant about it to someone who cares, but, I dunno- this time, like, a balloon just exploded inside of me and I just cracked. But, at the same time... to be perfectly honest, it felt really exhilarating to just argue for someone for the sake of something so little. I'm not the kind of person to really do that thing, honestly, so... yeah. I guess in other words, I'm sorry about if I said anything rude to you, as well. And I'm sorry for over-reacting." It felt really nice to get that out of her system, and she felt some sort of relief fill throughout her body. She hoped that he'd accept her apology. It was strange, how some things happened that way- how one simple action could trigger something so huge.
She twirled the umbrella around a bit, so that flecks of rain droplets fell upon the pavement. It was still pouring, but, for some reason, Sachiko didn't mind- she was with company, and that made her day with the weather just that much better. It was really nice just to get to hang out with someone; especially if that someone was someone that she just met. She found it quite fun to spend days with people that she didn't know on a day-to-day basis; it allowed her to gain new perspectives, and it gave her more ideas to begin conversations and to look for similarities and differences. She liked to enjoy these kinds of things, as sometimes it wasn't always easy to just collide into one person and find out if they could be your new best friend after. Life did things like that; and it made her excited with each passing day. She just hoped, that one day, someone that she met could help her find something bigger with her life. She knew that she was here to live her life, but what she should do with her life- she had no idea. Hopefully, though, she'd find out before she was old and grey.

(( So sorry for the short Post :< ))
