Eregon had gotten too bored, so he walked over to the stables and got his little solid gray mare and headed out. The pony-like steed moved quickly and quietly, just like Eregon needed as he traveled around seulghem often, scouting out anything unusual things. The lizard flicked his tongue, smelling the air before asking his mare into a gallop. He was heading to Istoth to get in the action too, though he would only stay a little ways away from the Envoy to let them deal with Istoth.
When Eregon saw a Elf on horse-back much like him, he slowed his mare down to a lope and rode up next to her. He wasn't sure where he was going actually, never being to Istoth before in his life. Missssssss, where is Istoth? The lizard hissed out, holding the 'S' on the end of Miss.

Her back straightened as she rode on the border lines of Istoth. She had over heard by a gaggle of women that a battle was to happen near there, and so she tried her best to stay as far away from her home kingdom as possible. But when you have a assignment near there, it is difficult. Slowly she let out a sigh. It was going to be a long week. Her legs already felt like wet noodles, and it has only been a half days worth of riding.
But her eyes turned quickly to see a man ride up next to her. No, not a man, a lizard. A giant lizard. She nearly jumped out of her saddle at the sight of him, he was so foreign to her. In all her years, she had never seen anyone quite like this man. Slowly, her head cocked to the side as she pulled the reigns of her horse, causing him to halt.
"Great seas." she whispered to herself, before shaking her head. "You are on the border of it now, sir. Istoth is only a bit to your east." she said before frowning. Her hand slid down to her dagger that rested at her hip. "May I ask, who are you?" she asked as her tone and stance changed.

Eregon looked over his shoulder, narrowing his eyes to see the castle in the distance. He gazed back at the Elf, his forked tongue flicking out of his mouth. He could sense she was unsure of him, so he leaned over on his mare's neck, as he shifted into his human form. His eyes were still almond shaped, but he had hair, a very dark brown that was almost black. There is no need to pull a weapon, I am no more than a man....I am Eregon, of Seulghem. Eregon said, yanking on the reins as he mare tried to start going on, though he halted her. He sat up straight, his slender form rocked a bit in the saddle as he got ready to get out of there if she attacked him, though she had no reason too. And you? The man asked, biting his bottom lip a bit. It was uncomfortable to change into his human form, so after a short pause, he was back into a Argonian.

Pʀɪɴᴄᴇ Aᴇʀᴏɴ ᴏғ Sᴇᴜʟɢʜᴇᴍ
Currently;; Riding with the Seulghem envoy| Tagged;; Alvere, the Envoy
Aeron grinned as he listened to Alvere reminisce of last nights blurry events. The Prince could only imagine how troublesome he was as a wingman for Alvere. Aeron could not hold his drink to save his life and tended to consume many tankards in one sitting; probably because, due to his high rank, he was often offered free drinks by loyalist bartenders. When he became thoroughly intocicated, it was not odd for Aeron to start fights, or try to gamble away insane possessions such as the Castle or the Crown Jewels. The best you could hope for was that he found some unfortunate wench to bed; at least that way he was kept from causing havoc on the streets.
As they lead the procession beneath Istoth's famed Great 'Golden' Gates, Aeron realised how the had got their name. Seulghem's entrance was a little more than rough stone; grey and black. Foreboding yet, to him at least, somewhat comforting at the same time. These extravagant gates were much more foreign to his tastes. A man strode up alongside them. His clothes bore a slight mark of Istoth, and, as Aeron did not recognise him as a Seulghem foot soldier, an Istoth guard is exactly what he took him to be.
The man had clearly heard a snippet of Aeron's words, and his tone was brash and a little insulted. Aeron couldn't help but feel the hairs bristle on the back of his neck. Lopping his head of right now would probably be interpreted as a declaration of war. As the man walked away Aeron tilted his head towards Alvere a smirk on his face, "I don't think he recognised me." True, the Prince did not look like Royalty right now. His father would not be impressed when he saw his son. Aeron was wearing off-white riding breeches, tucked messily into knee-high black boots that craved a polish. A plain white shirt rested beneath a light leather chest plate. Stitched leather gauntlets clasped his wrists, partially concealed by a pair of thick black gloves. The only seemingly Noble thing he was wearing was a thick black sealskin cape that trailed down his mares rump; though even that was beginning to look weary. All-in-all his ensemble was an odd one, especially for meeting with Istothian dignitaries. Give him a bow and he could almost be going out hunting, "We'll have to watch that one I think, and plenty of others. The King may be forgiving and who am I to question his authority?" he lowered his voice, "Even if certain decisions he makes are wrong." Unsurprisingly, Aeron had not been allowed amongst the prior negotiation parties. This was his first time in Istoth, and he still found himself ripe with skepticism.

ALVERE.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
[ male ] [ seulghem ] [ tagged: aeron, the envoy ]
Alvere watched as the Isoth guard came past, pausing to utter a few words to them. Although his face scoffed at the words, his free arm did throw out to block across Aeron's chest, just in case the Prince decided he wanted to throw himself at the lower-ranking man. Aeron carried quite a temper but it was something they did not need just now, not when they were entering the gates and in the middle of a securing a peace treaty.
"I doubt he would have spoken so openly had he known who you were," Alvere responded, keeping his dark gaze on the man in question as he moved towards the horribly extravagant gates, "it might be a bit too late for your father, however. He's in the carriage right behind us." Aeron would have had to ride past all the carriages to get to the front of the column and as such it would be a surprise if the King of Seulghem had not seen his son dressed as a mere messenger. "You'll have to face him eventually, you know. I'm not helping you then!"
The Istoth man had now disappeared and they approached the gates. A simply look at their vast majority against the guards might have been enough but it was the Selughem crests they all bore that allowed for no pauses. The gates were thrown open and inside the envoy went. Now was where it would get harder to stay together, for the streets were narrow.

Val kept herself upright with relative ease over the bumpy terrain. Of course, Grella was well known for her even, smooth gait which remained quite comfortable even when trotting. As she walked down the path -rather, as Grella walked and she rode- Val was struck by the beauty of Istoth's architecture. The smooth lines and arching gateways were elegant but still practical. Caught up in her fantasies of stately castles, Val almost missed Kai's farewell. Her face pink, the short lady waved a hand as he left.
"To you as well," she called out, remembering her manners. It would not do at all for a young lady of Seulghem to consider herself friend with an Istoth guard. Which was unfortunate, considering she would be spending the next few weeks negotiating peace surrounded by them. Sighing, Val moved her gaze from the retreating form of Kai and back to the rode. Grella snorted as her lady stood in her stirrups, trying in vain to work the stiffness out of her knees. In a moment of weakness, Val found herself wishing for the warm bath and silk sheets she knew she would receive when safely tucked away in the castle.Status wrote:Dorian Lewis

Dorian sighed, knowing a lost cause when he saw one. This "Adela" -for Dorian wasn't a fool to believe such a blatant lie- clearly wasn't in the mood for conversation. With a small shrug of his shoulders, Dorian stepped back from the girl.
"Then don't let me stop you," he beseeched. "I hope you find your horse ok." turning to go, Dorian was stopped in his tracks by a peculiar sight. The creature in front of him was clearly humanoid, but resembled a cat in all other forms. What were they called? The mage struggled to remember the name, snapping his fingers when he did so. "Khajit," he commented, pleased for his remembrance. It wasn't often those mind-numbing lessons in history and foreign lands came in handy, the moments few and far in between.
Dorian exhaled loudly, glancing up at the castle's distant towers. If he didn't hurry, he was going to be so late not even the kitchen maids would take pity on him. Picking up his pace, Dorian walked as fast as he could while still looking relaxed to the house of Istoth's royals.

Aɴᴀɪs Pᴏʀᴛᴇʀ ᴛʜᴇ Isᴛᴏᴛʜ Mᴀɪᴅ

The kitchen was in uproar. A cacophony of shouts and clattering arose as everyone fought to plate up their part of the banquet. Perhaps if they tried to work together for once, everything would run a great deal smoother. Anna herself had been drafted in to help carry the banquet from the kitchen to the Great Hall for the greeting feast. It was a magnificent display of food; the colors and scents a delight for both the eyes and nose. People starved on the streets in both Kingdom's, yet the Noble's still ate like suckling pigs. The thought caused Anna to shrivel her nose, the smell of the food souring.
A silver platter was thrust into her chest, and Anna grabbed it obediently. The force had nearly winded her, and her cheeks flushed in pain. Biting her lip, Anna turned swiftly and exited the kitchen before anything else could be added to her load. Carrying one plate was enough of a task; carrying two or three was a recipe for disaster. Anna had never coped well with pressure. Generally the more stressed she felt the more clumsy she became. Keeping this in mind, Anna checked her breathing as she came to the first stairwell.
Looking down, she eyed the food on the platter. Well presented folds of ham sat beside white fleshy cuts of dried turkey and chicken. All sat on a crisp bed of rocket and herbs. Drizzled over it all was a trickling of grease dripping from the meat pot. Anna hadn't eaten since this whole chaos had began early this morning and her belly rumbled involuntarily. By now, she had reached the top of the stairwell. Anais exited making her way down the carpeted corridor. Only a couple more corridors and she would be in the Great Hall, setting down the platter on the Dias.
Will get Aeron up soon ^^

Pʀɪɴᴄᴇ Aᴇʀᴏɴ ᴏғ Sᴇᴜʟɢʜᴇᴍ
Currently;; Riding with the Seulghem envoy| Tagged;; Alvere, the Envoy
Aeron sighed, listening to Alvere's words. True, the man probably only thought he was a messenger or guard. Surely even an Istoth scumbag would know not to address the Prince of a treating kingdom in such a blunt way. Again Aeron let out a groan when Alvere mentioned his father. The best he could hope for was that his father had only mistaken him for a messenger running up the line. When they got to Istoth, he would change into something more appropriate. On the baggage cart was an oaken cask filled with his own attire.
Aeron watched as the gates were flung open and the envoy began to pass through. The streets were narrowed and full; all the peasants wanting to get a glimpse at the royalty of Seulghem. Aeron studied them as he rode past, glad that no one had recognised him. Some had eyes filled with curiosity, flocking to see the dawning of a new age of peace. Others hung back in the shadows, their dirty faces shadowed with resentment. For them, the were finally seeing their loved ones murderers in the flesh. Even Aeron found himself thinking what a bittersweet moment it must be. The general feel of the commoners however did seem to be a positive one. The Seulghem mob would have been a lot more skeptical. That made him smile, "I'm glad we didn't host the Istoth dignitaries in Seulghem; the mob probably would have dragged them off their horses by now."
It had been an interesting situation back home when the peace treaty had been announced. Although peace was a good thing, the Seulghem people were a proud bunch and didn't much like the idea of bending the knee. They would never openly question their King, but talking amongst themselves was a different matter. In a tavern one night, a drunken man had approached Aeron and spat at his feet, before telling him he was pissing on the memories of all the soldiers who'd died for their cause. If Aeron hadn't been near paralytically drunk at the time, he might have responded himself.
He could see the Castle now, towering up over the rest of the city. It looked a lot less foreboding than Seulghem's castle; it's walls built out of a lighter stone than Seulghem's own black slate and granite. Aeron outstretched his fingers before curling them around his reins again, "I suppose there will be a banquet when we get there." Socialising was something Aeron didn't like, but was actually pretty good at - if he could keep up the facade that he liked the people he was talking to, "I was practicing my greetings earlier. I was thinking along the lines of..." Aeron cleared his throat, putting on a smarmy voice, "Your Highness, greetings, it is good to finally look upon you as an ally, and my, you must be the Queen of Istoth - you really are as elegant as they singers say. And lastly you must be the Princess Evangeline, your beauty precedes you." He laughed, "Too flattering?"

ALVERE.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
[ male ] [ seulghem ] [ tagged: aeron, the envoy ]
The Royal Guard snorted in laughter, letting his head hang as his shoulders shook in amusement. "Be careful, or you might find Princess Evangeline climbing into your bed tonight!" He choked out in good nature, before shaking his head and breathing deeply. How would he look if he fell into unstoppable bouts of laughter in the middle of an Istoth street? What an impression their new allies would have on them. "It's fine, but I can't promise not to laugh." Himself and a couple other Royal Guards would be staying while the two royal families introduced themselves to each other, and then standing near the doorway as a safety measure unless they were invited inside to dine by any of the Istoth family.
The castle was growing closer and it looked a little too friendly to Alvere: he was more fond of the foreboding palace of Seulghem to this place. It was almost sickeningly happy here, like everyone was stuck in some elating dream. Well, apart from those standing at the back of the crowd sending filthy looks towards them. He sent them a warning look, letting his fingers flex and stretch towards his sword and watched as they retreated. He really must look fierce, if no one dared to attack them.
They were admitted through the castle gates without a hitch and the envoy pooled out. Now all they had to do was wait for someone to come and see them, and then they would be escorted into the main hall. It was there they would be greeted - the Istoth throne room was too much of a ridiculous place for greetings - and would advance to the dining hall. Alvere fancied he could smell the scent of roasting venison but it was highly unlikely he would get even a look at something so magnificent. He survived off of fowl in the barracks: he didn't eat like a royal, but sometimes he did get into the kitchens and help himself to a morsel of duck skin or a pheasant leg, if it wasn't deemed suitable.
