Soushi couldn't say he'd been expecting such enthusiastic laughter, in fact, for a moment he'd thought that deranged laughter might be some sort of mental break down. He was actually worried for both their well-beings. But when she calmed down and leaned on him, he almost pulled away from her. Physical contact was certainly not his forte. He almost asked what was such a shock, but deep down, he knew already.
He moved to the side of the stall, and examined the hand extended to him, not as though he were checking it was clean or anything, just a little confused about the gesture. Slowly, he placed his hands in hers and felt a delightful warmth coming from her, his thin frame never retained much heat and he knew his hands must have felt cold in comparison. "Kobayashi Sachiko" He repeated, tasting the words and rolled them around on his tongues quietly.
The ginger then smiled slightly, he approved off her name, apparently. "My name is Harada Soushi...though most people call me Sou." He lied, there were no people to call him anything. But none of that mattered right now. He just thought Soushi wasn't his cup of tea and the prospect of a nickname endeared him. He decided against saying where he lived, he thought it was maybe twenty or so minutes from here, but it was mostly a squalor, he knew where everything was this way, but he knew to anyone else he would look like a hoarder. Not that he cared what other people thought of him, normally.

Sachiko Kobayashi
"THE POPULAR"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Attempting to be casual | Currently: At the Hanami Festival
The instant that the male placed his hand on hers, Sachiko felt instant coldness drift through. She'd heard of people having cold hands, but she'd never felt a hand this cold before. She eyed him up and down. He looked warm enough. Maybe he just had naturally cold hands, like other people in the world did.
Hers were usually quite warm, so it was quite the temperature comparison.
She nodded at him saying her name, smiling a bit as she found that she liked the way that it sounded upon his lips. It sounded... sweeter somehow, despite his rude attitude from before. How could a guy, who could be so rude yet actually kind-of nice to be around have this kind of effect on her? It boggled her, it did, but she paid it no mind for the time being. Perhaps she'd dwell on it later.
"Harada Soushi..." she repeated, just like he had done for her name. "... I like that name!" She nodded, beaming from head-to-toe. "It's actually pretty cute, if you ask me!" She didn't know where that came from, but no blush accompanied, as she didn't think of it as a comment that would be blushed for. "And 'Sou'?" She nodded once more, a bigger smile falling upon her features. "Alright, I'll call you 'Sou', then!" She said all this in quite a happy manner, her eyes lighting up just the slightest due to the fact that she now knew this boy's name, and she didn't have to keep referring to him as "he" and "that guy" in her head. Nope, now he was Sou, and it was quite the nice nickname. She didn't poke at where he lived; she didn't really need to know that about people, anyways. Just the basics was perfectly fine for her, unless she wanted to know someone much better. And maybe she'd get to know Sou better sometime soon? She didn't know, but she left the possibility hanging in the open air.
Speaking of nicknames earlier, Sachiko said, "Oh, I have a nickname too. It's nothing fancy, but my close friends tend to call me 'Sachi'." She paused, scratching the side of her head nervously. "I know that we're not close at all or anything, but... y'know, if we ever get to know each better or whatever, you could call me that. Other than that, Sachiko is perfectly fine. Anything works, really. Heck, you can make up a silly nickname for me and I'd probably be fine with it- as long as it doesn't seem rude to me, then it should be alright." She narrowed her eyes as she looked off to the side, remembering when her friends used to tease her and call her "Short-cakes"- that just made her feel chubby and squat as a kid. Thank-goodness that that nickname was long forgotten within her group of friends and classmates.
(( SO SHORT kjdnfdsl apologies! ))

Soushi;Deity of Lost and Stolen technology

Soushi nodded along with her as she spoke, he had no qualms with her calling him Sou, it wasn't a title reserved for friends, considering he had none. In all honesty he was simply glad she knew his name, and wouldn't have to address him as 'you' anymore. He then looked down at his fingers quietly, he could still feel a light tingling sensation from the heat of her hands, and suddenly realised how cold his own hands were. The rest of his body was relatively warm, perhaps it was just the weather, the rain seizing up his fingers.
He turned his gaze back to her face when she mentioned her nickname, he didn't think it suited her much, Sachiko was a nice name, there was no reason to shorten it in his eyes. Crookedly smiling once more he observed her quietly as the rain continued to fall "Perhaps we should see if we can buy you an umbrella of some kind.." he suggested, his coat was keeping him warm and dry, in fact a bit too warm for his liking.
He wasn't much of a cuddle up in front of the fire person ...deity. And he detested places that were too hot or too cold. He liked his environment to be pleasantly cool, simply warm enough to wear pants and shirt, without being red in the cheeks. He wore his coat most places outside, simply because it was big enough to conceal things in, he was aware he was often too warm, but made sure that his garb didn't get smelly.

Sachiko's lips struggled to keep the smile that was trying to form on her face hidden, so she ended up giving him this wavering, odd smile that made it seem like she was trying to hold in her laughter. Nonetheless, she appreciated his concern of her getting wet, as she kept a mental note that Soushi might actually have been a good guy all along. She probably just caught him at a bad time when she chose to argue with him. "Arigato," she said, bowing her head down a little before she tipped it back up. She didn't know why she was acting so formal towards him, but she felt the need to show her respect for someone who felt the need to express that she needed an umbrella as she was getting wet. She peered around, turning her head this way and that. "Do you think that there is an umbrella to buy here?" She tilted her head, placing her thumb to her mouth and biting it. "I don't remember seeing any... and I've come to this Festival practically my whole life." As far as she remembered, the Hanami Festival didn't sell umbrellas and those types of necessities. It sold delicious food, had plentiful flowers for show... those were fond memories that she liked to indulge herself in when she felt all by herself. Just imagining a festival in her head really kept her spirits up.
As she was trying to think of something more to say, or perhaps to point out, the cook rang the silver bell and placed two meals on the small table that he had set-up for customers to pick up their meals.
Sachiko immediately turned around and her eyes lit up- food! And it smelled absolutely fantastic. Eagerly tugging on Soushi's jacket like she was an eight-year old, she practically dragged him to the short walk over to the small table, thanking the cook at-least three times before she grabbed Soushi's meal, placing it in his hands, and then her meal in her own. Bringing her meal up to her nose, she took a big whiff- and nearly died with its heavenly aroma. What a dish! She couldn't wait to get a taste of its deliciousness. Better yet, everything looked like it was sparkling in-front of her very own eyes. Perhaps she was over-exaggerating things in the light of her own eyes due to the fact that she was feeling quite ravenous, or perhaps it was because the cook had excellent decoration skills. The karaage, especially, looked cooked to perfection. With her stomach grumbling, she took Soushi's hand in her own without thinking and started to pull him along, looking for an empty table with an umbrella on-top to eat their meals on. Normally, she didn't mind eating on benches; heck even the grass was just fine for her- but it was raining, and she didn't want her bottom to be soaked when she sat down on a wet bench. At-least with an umbrella over a table, most of the seat would be dry unless someone decided to sit on it with their wet bottom.
Carefully weaving her way through the crowd, Sachiko continued to pull Soushi along, her grip firm but her hand soft. "Ho, hums... we need a seat for dry bums." she muttered underneath her breath, kind-of like a chant of sorts. "Ho, hums, we need a seat for dry bums."

Soushi;Deity of Lost and Stolen technology

Soushi found himself looking around, some semblance of concern knitting his eyebrows together as he tried to spot an umbrella, unfortunately his search was in vain. He actually wanted something to keep Sachiko dry, if he were a gentleman, and not a criminal, he might have offered her his coat, but with all of the stolen and lost things jingling about in there, he decided against it. For all he knew it might smell, Soushi tried to remain clean himself, but he wore this coat nearly every day.
Unlike his female companion, Soushi hadn't attended these all his life, In fact, he wasn't really sure what early life was for him, he simply didn't exist, and then he did, he wasn't born or created, just...apparent. He'd spent some time observing these up-walking creatures that called themselves humans, he watched them as they loved and lost each other and watched how they gradually progressed. Whilst he'd remained the same, it was then he made a choice to take on their form and get to work, he wasn't sure what his purpose was supposed to be so he'd gone off what raw instincts he had, and started doing what he was doing today, thieving and scheming like a rat.
"Sure it would be foolish for nobody to be selling...them?" His voice trailed as she pulled him back towards the stall and then over through the crowds, he clutched his food close to his chest with his available hand, as though someone might steal it from him otherwise. The smell was distracting, and the more it drifted up into his head, the more his stomach cried out in protest, wanting him to stop and eat as soon as possible. Human bodies were such needy things, eat this, go to the toiler now. Honestly. He then glanced at their hands, she didn't seem to mind the cold touch from them now.
He strained his ears, hearing her talk but not quite catching the words before a soft grin swept across his features. It was cute, adorable even. And he presumed her mother or father must have taught it to her, which weighed on his heart, but at the same time he thought it was quite sweet, listening to her. He chose this time to hold his tongue and not tease her for it, then she may no do it again, and that would be a shame. "I must admit I'm hungrier than I thought I was, I'd forgotten how good the food at festivals is." He remarked, normally he didn't come here to eat and enjoy the scenery, he came looking for his next victims, like a vulture. Late to the party but still able to benefit from it.

Sachiko Kobayashi
"THE POPULAR"

Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Ashamed and satisfied | Currently: At the Hanami Festival
"Oh, yeah, I know, right?" Sachiko responded, her eyes scanning every which way for an available table. Geez, it was so hard to find one when a majority of the people here were all taller than her! She scoffed underneath her breath before continuing her chant from before, practically walking in a hurry on her tippy-toes to try and scour around for a table with an umbrella. She knew that she might trip sooner or later in the footwear that she was in, and at the rate that she was going at, so she decided to let her feet back down but she still walked at her brisk pace. She glanced back at Soushi, feeling the slightest pang of jealously for his height right about now. It would be mighty helpful if he helped her look, but she practically dragged him in the crowd of nowhere that she didn't even know where she was headed.
But, eventually, soon enough, she found herself at the left side of the festival, where there were a handful of stalls that sold little trinkets and pots of flowers; making the whole area smell positively wonderful and bright and lovely. This was where she found a nice little table, perfect for sitting at-least four people.
Pointing to it with beaming pride, Sachiko pulled Soushi along so that he would be sitting in-front of her, just like casual acquaintances. Were they friends? She didn't really know, but she sure wouldn't mind him being one if that was the case.
The seats, which were long strips of a bench created from polished wood, were just a little bit wet, but the umbrella seemed to cover it the rest of it. The rectangular table itself was perfectly dry, save for a couple of left-over bits of food left behind by the previous snackers. Choosing to ignore it, Sachiko placed her dinner upon the table and sat down, carefully wiping off any remnants of dirt on her bottom before sitting down. She took another great whiff like before and nearly melted into a puddle- she couldn't believe the lovely smell that the food was drifting into her. It was a miracle come true, brought down from the Heavens themselves- and boy, was she ready to begin her meal!
Now, normally, Sachiko would wait for everyone to settle down and have their food placed in-front of them before she would begin to it, but she just couldn't wait this time around. Releasing her chopsticks from its paper wrapping and popping them open in a flash, Sachiko dug in and shoved multiple pieces of food into her mouth at the same time. It was a surprise, seeing as someone needed to swallow to start and digest the food, but no, she seemed to stuff everything in before she swallowed, and even then, she kept on going.
Suddenly realizing how rude she was being, Sachiko looked up from her meal with her cheeks bulging like a chipmunk's, her eyes sparkling in-love for the food- and she gave Soushi a hesitant smile, bits of food showing from between her half-unchewed food through her straight teeth. And it was right there that Sachiko knew that she looked like some sort of barbarian, and she wanted to hide away in-shame. Her cheeks burned with intensity, but her gaze on his face was left hanging. Taking careful steps to chewing, she managed to chew all the food contained her mouth and she swallowed, letting it all settle in before she set her chopsticks down nervously on the table. "Er... sorry, I should I have waited." She bowed her head down. "Gomenasai." She was also thinking of apologizing for looking like a complete glutton, but she decided to leave that alone, thinking that he'd probably tease her for apologizing for something like that.

Soushi;Deity of Lost and Stolen technology
Currently;Tags;
As he was pulled a long, Soushi took no time to admire such trivial things like the smell of the flowers in the air, in fact, the only thing he admired was himself. Twenty minutes in the company of a admittedly rather sweet girl wasn't going to change a life times habit, He looked down at the food in his hand with a curious expression, he didn't know if he could trust things cooked on a stall at a festival, though he had no idea if he could even contract food poisoning, he'd never been ill before. He'd gotten headaches when there was too many concentrated signals in one area and that had been warning enough to look after this body.
He felt an unfamiliar lost feeling when she released him to move towards the table, and for a moment he stood frozen, watching her until he snapped himself out of it before joining her.
Soushi had to clamp his teeth over his tongue to stop himself saying anything when she ate in such an un-lady like way. But his head shot to the thought before he could stop it 'Was she born in a barn?' he snapped inwardly, unable to hide the expression of both shock and disgust from his features. For a mostly male being he did pride himself on image, and such an unsightly thing offended him. He felt his throat tighten a little bit until he cleared it tried to pull his mind away from it long enough to slap on a polite smile in return. "It's not the waiting that bothered me." He replied, if anything could be said for him, at least he was honest. Though he knew she might not appreciate the comment, even if it had been rather mild mannered in comparison to what he would normally say to a human.
He turned his eyes downward and to his food and took a moment to asses the meal, he then unwrapped his own chopsticks and took a delicate bite, fitting for his relatively feminine appearance. He also held a hand beneath the meat he held, in case it should drip on the table. Despite never actually eating at a table with friends before, or even being taught manners, he was a polite and clean eater.

Sachiko Kobayashi
"THE POPULAR"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Quite embarrassed | Currently: At the Hanami Festival
Sachiko peeped up at him, her cheeks burning in embarrassment. He was eating in a polite manner; very organized and neat and clean. Great- compared to him, now he probably thinks I really am some sort of barbarian that's rude and eats without thinking, she thought to herself. She didn't really know how to respond to his short response to her, as she knew that it was a comment directed to her and her noisy eating. Although it should have offended her, she knew that she totally one-hundred percent deserved it. She bit her lip, sighing before she returned to her meal, this time eating it how she normally would when she was with others- polite, mannerly, small bites. The only thing that was off was her hunched back; normally, her back would be straight when eating with others, but that seemed not the case at this very moment. She still felt heavily ashamed by the way that she had acted, so in a way, she was hunched over and thinking things over of how to resolve the situation. Soushi probably thought that she was some sort of animal, and in her head, she pictured her head on the body of a chicken, picking up everything in its path. What a silly thought, but she felt that she related to it quite so.
She finished her meal fairly quickly, picking up every last piece of morsel that was contained in the Styrofoam box that it was contained in. She then drank her miso soup evenly but efficiently, and she set it on top of the box, turning her head to see if she could find a garbage can. Spotting one two tables down, she got up, mumbled, "I'll be right back," and slid out of the bench, quickly darting over to the garbage.
Unfortunately for her, she tripped over an empty soda can without looking, and she found herself falling flat on her face. Great! she thought to herself, letting the rain wash over her before she slowly got up, gathering her garbage. Since when did I become such a klutz? She sat up on her knees before getting up, looking down at her now ruined kimono. "Ugh, you've got to be kidding me," she muttered to herself, looking at the mess bestowed upon her. the front of her kimono was now muddied up, with hunks of mud dripping off of her sleeves and chest area. The bottom of her kimono was heavily caked in mud, and her knee area took the worst damage, where she could actually feel the mud seeping through her once lovely garment. She couldn't even see any of the designs that were carefully stitched in anymore, save a few that barely peeked out from the mud. Seeing all this upon her, she ran a hand through her hair, where some had fallen down in-midst of her fall. Her bun now looked a little fallen apart, but still mainly presentable. Pulling her hand back down, it was then that she noticed that the bottom of her palms were caked in mud as well, trying to stop herself from falling. And she just ran it through her hair. Seriously? she thought to herself. Man, this sucks. I'm not playing sports right now, yet I still get dirty. Shaking her head, she decided that she should probably head home for a quick change of clothing and to get her kimono cleaned up before she returned to the festival. She was also vaguely aware that her chin, portions of her neck, bits of her cheek, forehead, and nose probably had some mud on them as well. She felt like she just came back from a soccer game, but she didn't feel like she won a game or anything.
Sighing, Sachiko trekked towards the garbage can, ignoring the surprised and shocked looks of some passerby. She waved a hand wearily. "Eh, I don't really care at the moment." she found herself saying, turning to head back to the table.
She suddenly froze when she just noticed that Soushi might have seen the whole thing happen, like it was some sort of comedy act. "Lovely." she muttered underneath her breath, walking up to the table. Well, her bottom wasn't caked in the mud, so she would be able to sit on the bench. She sat on its very edge though, giving Soushi a nervous smile, scratching the side of her head. "Aha, looks like I'm just a mess, aren't I?" She bowed her head down before bringing it back up. "Uhum... do you mind if I go home and change? I don't exactly want to walk around the Festival like this, after-all... I'm sure no-one would like to look like the way I am right now, quite frankly." she muttered softly. "I'll be super quick. And if you don't want to wait for me, that's perfectly fine." She laughed nervously, her hands pressed together in the shape of a praying position. "I just feel like a muddy monster that ate too many mud pies, or something."

Soushi;Deity of Lost and Stolen technology

Soushi looked up when she left the table, and could only watch with an arched, curious brow as the scene before him unfolded, personally he hadn't really noticed the mud, he presumed his coat was the same, in fact he knew there must be a couple of things wrong with it, and like his precious technology, he'd come to get attached to it, he probably wouldn't part with it even when it was no longer of use.
He continued to eat until she returned and spoke to him, before he looked back at her face, noticing the smudge on her face but choosing not to voice it, he tipped his head back to drink what was left of the juices in his Ragout. After savoring the meaty flavor and righting himself again, he slowly went to stand and offered her a polite smile "I can accompany you if you wanted me to." He suggested, tiling his head at her inquisitively.
"Feel free to say no." He then added on an after thought, she'd met him just today and he knew she didn't full trust him yet, as was expected, he didn't trust her with his life or anything either. It was rather creepy to ask to be shown her house having not known her an hour yet. If she'd of asked him, he probably would say no too.

Sachiko Kobayashi
"THE POPULAR"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Quiet | Currently: At the Hanami Festival
Sachiko opened her eyes, blinking several times before comprehending what he had said. "Oh, yeah, sure," she said, her eyes wide. She stared at him for a second more before looking away, sliding off of the bench and clutching her messenger bag. She decided that he was being perfectly accommodating; no hint of mischief reflecting in his honey-brown eyes.
Like her kimono, her messenger bag was covered in mud as well- she might as well scrub away all the mud before heading out again, because it was made of leather and she couldn't leave it along for too long (otherwise, it would get crusty and gross). "I wouldn't mind the company." she found herself saying, glancing at him with a curious look before she turned her head away.
She pointed in the direction of the park, which was a ways away from where they are. "We basically just have to walk straight out of this Festival, walk alongside the park, take a left, go straight, then take another right, then continue going straight until you see a perfectly ordinary-styled Japanese home." She nodded once, looking back at him. "Not hard at all to get to. Can be pretty quick, actually, if I ran." She glanced down at her geta. "Obviously not in my geta, but in runners or barefoot I could easily reach my house in five minutes. Other than that, it should take us ten or so minutes to get there, walking." She really didn't mind the company at all, and didn't find it odd that someone would want to accompany her there. For her, it was perfectly normal. Why, she had had classmates and her Dad and Mom's work-friends accompany her to her house before; she was fine with strangers. She seemed to have this sort of sense about people; she knew when people were dangerous and when they weren't. For example, a teenager such as Soushi? Why, he looked perfectly harmless. Yes, he was good with his words, but she was sure that he wouldn't try to hit her, or something. Same with a bunch of her classmates. For group projects, she'd just been introduced to a couple of people whom she hadn't talked to, but she knew of. If they were to go to another person's house to work on the project, she'd be more than fine with having them accompany her to house to grab and drop off things if necessary. She really didn't mind it at all; to her, it was just a normal thing in her everyday life. Perhaps it was because she trusted too easily, but usually her sense was correct about these things. And besides, it wasn't like Soushi was going to be lingering her house for like an hour. Probably twenty to twenty-five minutes, at the most, she was thinking. She didn't want to spend all too long; but she knew with her Grandparents (being the curious people that they were) that they'd be wondering why she would be home so early. Then they'd probably proceed to go and say that they'd take care of her clothing for her, so that she could hurry up and fix herself up to go back to the Festival with her "boyfriend". The thought merely made her roll her eyes, but not in a spiteful manner. Her Grandparents seemed to think that every single boy that she brought home with her, whether it was for a minute or for a couple of hours, was her boyfriend, even though both she and the boy claimed that they were merely just friends, study partners; whatever. It didn't matter; they always had their suspicions. It used to be funny, but now it just embarrassed her and tired her out. If she had a boyfriend, she probably would be acting in a different manner, and she would think that her Grandparents would notice. But nope, they were set on their grand-daughter and this new boy, ogling the pair as if they were some famous celebrities. The thought made her laugh out loud a little bit, but she quickly cut it off in-order to avoid a curious or odd look from Soushi.
Speaking of him, she had been so caught up in her thoughts that she hadn't even cared to consider how he was holding up. Stopping her tracks for a slight second before walking by his side, she nimbly dodged some people in the Festival before they arrived at the Entrance again, which was also an area for an Exit. It was quieter out here, for sure, but the rain still continued to pour on. Sachiko was worried that she might catch a cold from all this, but she quickly shook it off, turning her attention back to Soushi instead. "Thanks for coming along with me." she mumbled, her eyes digging into the ground. Her steps were steady and firm, but seemed a little sluggish compared to the way that she usually walked. "Hope I'm not too much of a bother." She still didn't look up at him, but continued to keep her eyes on the wet ground. She was sure that her face probably looked horrendous; as did the way that she looked overall. He most likely didn't want to see her dirty figure. "I'll try to be as quick as I can." She held her a fist half-way up, as if to empower herself to be quick.
