Sherry jumped at the wailing coming from the other side of the house, looked at her husband and they nearly collided as they burst down the hall. That voice, compiled with Andrew using the word Momma, meant something was wrong. As they came into the room they saw the source of his obvious despair. Sherry fought the urge to laugh. Larry was not so successful. Their foster son had somehow managed to get his head wedged in the couch. He was upside-down, sort of curled into a ball with his rear in the air. His head was stuck in the framework of the sofa under the cushions. Oh dear. Sherry scowled at her still snickering husband as she helped Andrew get out and then took him to the kitchen and gave him a cookie. "Stay here, and for heavens' sake don't get stuck in anything else today. We leave tonight and I have way too much to do."

Esperanza looked around the bar at her companions. Stasi was talking quietly with Shaylee and Rusty, Tabitha was sipping her drink, and Espy was wondering if it would be impolite to ask for seconds, especially considering how she had wolfed down the first bowl. "Stasi, I wasn't trying to upset you earlier. I hope you know that. There are so many things that are bothering me about that place that I can't even begin to tell you and well...." her voice trailed off, not knowing what else to say. She sat quietly waiting to see if she would respond.

I feel terrible about for not posting forever!! My computer broke, and then I've been like really sick, so, yeah. >.< I am so sorry!!! Seriously. I'm back now though... I won't be able to post after Valentine's until Sunday/Monday. But, again, I am so so so so so so sorry!!

Accepted!! Sorry, I........ my computer broke. And I was sick, so I haven't been on lately, although I feel horrible about it!! I'm back though, really.

Anastasia

Shaylee picked up Esperanza's plate, and poured more of the potato soup into it with a metal ladel. She handed it back to Espy, the plate steaming. "You looked hungry." She turned to Tabitha, blonde curls bouncing. "Water? Did you... want some?" She asked, unsure of what the young tendit meant. Rusty turned from his conversation with Anastasia to Espy. "You can keep the coveralls... I have more." he said, taking a drink from the amber liquid in his glass, which was fizzing up from the bottom as he moved it. Root beer. Shaylee looked at the three tendits, feeling sorry for them, especially the one with green skin though, she could hardly hide in a crowd. "I - I need to go but it was nice meeting you two. I'll be back again at latest by tomorrow." Shaylee got up from the red barstool, and walked out the door, locking behind her. Anastasia took a bite of mushy potato from her spoon. "Mmm."

Espy watched Shaylee go, then responded to Rusty. "Thank you, I am sorry though for the scene earlier. I was thoroughly stumped as to how to get through the crowd without being noticed, and I wasn't sure how anyone would react. I did the best I could. Stasi, again, I wasn't trying to be a problem earlier, and thank you for the tanning idea. It may work, I just wonder if it wouldn't make my green skin just a darker shade of green. Worth trying though. Shaylee's nice, you've all been so nice to me. I'm not sure if my gratitude has shown. I'm just so unsure of what to do with myself out here. It's difficult at best, and I had so little contact with anyone at the Facility that...." She trailed off not even sure what to say. There were so many mixed emotions that she was dealing with and her wing was starting to hurt again. She was so tired, but still hungry, so she finished her soup and sat quietly listening to the others.

Anastasia

Anastasia ate the last bit of soup from her bowl, then dropped the spoon in the bowl lightly and slid it over to Rusty. She would've put it away herself had she known what to do, but Anastasia was lost when it came to the arts of operating in an industrial-grade kitchen. Rusty took it and started to walk to the kitchen. "Thanks." She mumbled. "No prob, Ana." He replied. She grimaced. Why did he butcher her pretty name into 'ana'? Was 'Anastasia' or 'Stasi" too hard to pronounce for him? Seriously!! She didn't say anything, but instead turned to Espy and Tabitha. "I'm pretty tired.. I'm going to go downstairs and go to sleep, 'kay?" She covered her mouth with her hand as shed yawned. Anastasia walked away and slipped into the Janitor's Closet, and began the process of opening the secret door.
