Skyrim RP \\ Post 108 \\ Hanzar ~ Winterhold

Postby Durnehviir » Sat Jan 21, 2017 3:56 pm

    Hanzar \\ M \\ 26 \\ Argonian \\ Tags: Mika, Altavia, Nicholas
Hanzar shrugged. "I honestly don't know." He said calmly as he walked out of the store and into the cold weather. It chilled him to the bone but he took a deep breath and slightly relaxed. The stuffy air inside that shop was giving him a headache. All the herbs and potions made a horrible mix of an aroma and he hated it. "I suppose we should just wait for them to return. I'm sure Altavaia will come and join us soon enough so let's go back to the inn and rest up." Hanzar said with a soft smile before taking Mika's hand in his own and began to guide her to the inn. It was soft and warm and he liked it. Something was just so different about her, something he'd never seen in women before; especially a khajiit. He'd been with several women in his life but no one like Mika and he made a mental note to make sure that Mika is his last and final choice. To finally settle down and relax with someone he cares about. Hanzar was known for being with a women.. or two for about a month then just leaving sometime in the middle of the night. One day those women will catch up to him and he knows he's going to have to explain to Mika about his past but he wanted it to be the right time. A small sigh escaped his mouth before he pushed open the inn door and stepped inside. Speaking to the inn keeper, handing over a bag of coin and taking a key from the mans hand. Walking up the flight of stairs and soon walking into the room that him and Mika were going to share.

MIKA

She blinked in surprise as Hanzar decided to let it go, and have Altavia come get them The surprise drifted away as she realized he must be tired, and she nodded following him. His hand felt cold in hers, and she felt bad that she had no furs to give him to keep him warm. Guess she would have too when they got to the Inn. It didn't take long to reach it, but he sighed making her study him. Something was bothering her mate that was for sure. She wondered if she should ask as they went to the counter. She watched the coin exchange giving the keeper a nod before following after her Argonian to their room. Entering it she studied the small little room before turning her amber gaze to his. "You okay?" She whispered moving over to him to begin helping him undress into more comfortable attire. She began by pushing him down on the bed and kneeling to remove his boots. "Hows your shoulder?" She hummed remembering his injury. He would be healed if he didn't reopen it.

Nicholas Storm - Male - 31 - Breton - College of Winterhold - Tagged: Altavia
The sight of the Thalmor representative abated Nicholas' enthusiasm and dampened the mood entirely. Although most of the average folk only ever heard about the Thalmor, Nick had the unfortunate experience of dealing with them on more than once occasion in his time spent in Cyrodiil, and every one of the haughty Altmer were just as unpleasant as the last. Their argument ended and the Breton woman took notice of the newcomers. "I'd like a tour as well, thank you." Nicholas spoke in agreement with Altavia. With a smile, Mirabelle gave each of the two a set of mage robes. "You may find these more to your liking than your current clothes." She preceded to begin the tour, giving a short description of the college and all it offered as they walked. Off to the side of the courtyard, a door led to what Mirabelle called the Hall of Attainment, where the students of the College quartered, as to share knowledge and advice on projects. Near the end of the tour she led them to the Hall of the Elements, pointing out both the Arch-Mage quarters and library on either side. "Tolfdir should be beginning a lecture in this hall right about now. He will welcome you to the class." Nicholas dipped his head to the Breton as she left Nick and Altavia to their own devices. Nick started into the Hall of the Elements but paused, looking back at his fellow mage. "Aren't you coming?" He asked.

Apocrypha - Firebird - Solitude Outskirts - Tagged: Dar'Zarina
Thankfully, Apocrypha need not lift a claw to see the Nord retreat from the conversation, which left her and the theiving one alone to do business. "Now," She continued, scoffing a dry laugh at the uneasiness of the Kahjiit's steed. "As I stated, I am in need of your talents, thief. I have an offer for you." The firebird turned her head, cocking it ever so subtly to the side. "Are you perhaps interested in a vast reward? Whatever you desire, it may be yours. The world is ripe for the taking." She crooned, trying to entice the thief.

{Nameless} - Dawnstar Stables - Tagged: Open
The beast was a cursed one. The guards said it, the miners said it, as did most everyone in Dawnstar. Didn't they have enough on their plate already? No one in town got a wink at night, someone had opened up his own home as a museum to the cult of Mythic Dawn, and suspicions were arising about the necromancer fellow who used to perform ghastly rituals under everyone's noses. Now the town was home to a cursed horse. As normal as the steed appeared, it made travelers and natives alike uneasy, and it frightened every beast that came near, including the other horses it stabled with. They eyes people claimed were the most unnerving; they were like deep pits with inky depths and reflected no light, though it was clear it did not just have no eyes in its sockets. The stable hands were getting desperate to rid themselves of the beast, offering it to every traveler that passed through and a greatly reduced price. The gorgeous ivory horse seemed entirely unaware of all this, or it simply didn't care. It was kept well fed and warm.

So they both went on the short tour, no longer than it needed to be. Altavia studied her novice robes but stuffed them into her bag to change into later. If she felt like doing so, that was. At least they had their own quarters, and she was surprised as the number of those enrolled. It seemed a little emptier than oe might expect, but the collie was a more closed off community to Skyrim. Altavia debated these in her head as they walked into the College, the Arcanaeum catching her interest on her right. It was a library, and the girl almost want to visit it straight away, but she held herself back and remind herself of her priorities. Hands balling into a loose fist as she thought, she didn't hear Mirabelle end her tour and leave. It was Nicholas' voice that got her attention.
"Oh, yes, give me a moment." She replied, gesturing him to ahead without her if he wanted. She turned to the side and shuffled through her bags, a bit frantically, for a single silver necklace. It looked plain and dainty, but it held one of the best enchantments Altavia and her brother ever created. It took some trial and error, but together they achieved a spell that would allow them to find each other if the spell was active. She had done it to her own, placing it around her neck. It glowed nearly white now, and she swiftly tucked it under her shirt, adjusting to her new sixth sense before bounding after Nicholas. "I'm coming." She called after him, attaching his pace. An older man was just finished welcoming him and turned again to greet Altavia as well. He then continued going on about something to do with Restoration. Behind her Altavia noticed the Thalmor mage staring at them, watching them all with a disconcerting look. Everything swirling around in her mind at this point made her shuffle uncomfortably where she stood.

Nicholas hesitated, not wanting to leave the other Breton behind as she rummaged through her bag, but Tolfdir spotted him and beckoned him to join the class. Slowy, he joined them. Shortly after his own introductions, Altavia followed up behind. The wizard seemed delighted to have two new students in the College, and he resumed the lesson with a smile. Nick caught sight of a Kahjiit and a Nord among the students already at the lecture, with the class debating whether learning practical magic or keeping safe would be the best course of action in the lesson. Nicholas spaced out halfway through the discussion, since neither the students nor the instructor made any headway for their side. "You two have been awfully quiet," Tolfdir addressed the two newcomers, causing Nick to snap to attention. "What is your opinion on the matter?" Nicholas, not particularly having an opinion either way, chose not to answer. Instead, he gave Altavia a very light nudge, pushing her ahead of him so she may answer. "Altavia," He whispered. "Say something."

Conavin paused for a moment before breaking into laughter. "Blast it! Why did you say that?" he held his stomach as he continued to laugh. "Imagine how much worst that would've been during puberty! I can think of all the jokes now." He shook his head as if he could shake the thought away. His own laughter sounded strange to him, he hadn't laughed in a long time, but it was nice to enjoy himself.

"I c-couldn't help it!" Raavi stammered, lurching over as she continued to laugh. She lost herself even more when Conavin mentioned Slick's puberty days. She could imagine the countless scenarios he went through, all making her almost pass out from lack of oxygen even more. " Oh, by the gods, they probably said s-something like: 'Slick, slick you are a hick! You have a face just like a sheep's tick!'" she howled, unable to sit up straight or even see through her tear-filled eyes. Yes, it had probably been a good few years since she had enjoyed someone else's company this much. Conavin's laugh was lighter than his usually very deep, Italian voice. It was sort of refreshing to hear him like this, honestly.

Skyrim RP \\ Post 109 \\ Hanzar ~ Winterhold

Hanzar shrugged. "For the most part." He said calmly before he looked down to her and gently placed his hand on hers and she began to untie his shoes. "I can do it Mika." The male said with a soft smile before he kicked off his shoes. Hanzar took off his armor and laid it down on the ground. The only thing he wore was a casual white shirt with a pair of pants. He laid down and allowed his hand to rest on his torso as he looked up to the ceiling. So many things were running through his head but he knew Mika wasn't ready for his whole life story. A small sigh escaped his mouth. "My shoulder and back are fine dear. How are you feeling?" He asked sincerely.

When Nicholas nudged her forward Altavia knew she couldn't step back, for all eyes were trained on her. She cursed silently and decided to improvise although she had not been paying attention. She knew they were discussing something about safety, and the students were arguing in their arrogance. "I think we're ready for anything." She replied. The others seemed to agree. So the lecture continued smoothly, with Tolfdir explaining the importance of wards and other protective spells. those were quite simple in Altavia's books, for magical 'duels' were common with her class mates as a child. Tolfdir suggested practicing these wards and looked for a volunteer, and feeling confident, Altavia stepped up on her own this time.
      "I'll do it."
Following his instructions she stood several feet away from Tolfdir, and the other other students shuffled off to the side out of harms way. At his signal she manifested a steadfast ward, glancing over at the others now and then, especially Nicholas. She wasn't sure what she was trying to prove but it already sure was fun to make faces at him. Opposite of her, their instructor summoned a flame and threw it at her ward. With a flash of blue and orange, his fire spell dissipated once it met Altavia's ward. She dispelled it and let the energy seep back into her body from holding the ward up, watching as Tolfdir did some further explaining and then dismissed the class. It didn't seem as long as it was, and she felt like asking more of her teacher, but she realized that she had work to do. As the other students passed on their way to their quarters some complimented her, but the one khajiit just huffed and told her to stay out of his way. She ignored him.
"You going back to the Hall of Attainment with everyone else?" She asked Nicholas as he neared.

Nicholas Storm - Male - 31 - Breton - College of Winterhold - Tagged: Altavia
Luckily for Nicholas, Altavia answered without much hesitation, as if either one of them had been more than half-listening the entire time. Tolfdir gave in to the will of his students, deciding to demonstrate the usefulness of a ward spell. Nick was familiar the topic, though he never used them himself. Although a conjurer, a necromancer namely, he did often look into other schools. He rarely used wards simply because he wasn't very good with using them. Besides, he'd never been in any kind of magical duel before, so why use them? He could protect himself just fine with a couple of skeletons. It wasn't long before Tolfdir asked for a student to help demonstrate a ward, to which Altavia immediately volunteered for. Both student and mentor took their places while everyone else cleared the space between them. Altavia cast her ward with no difficulty, shooting Nicholas a face off to the side. He wrinkled his nose in response, sticking his tongue out at the younger Breton when no one else was looking. She looked like she was enjoying herself, too.

Tolfdir cast a fireball at her ward, the magical shield doing its job and leaving Altavia unscathed. The wizard ended the lecture shortly after, informing the class about the Saarthal expedition before sending them on their way. Nicholas watched the others go, following in their steps absentmindedly before his friend caught his attention. "Well, I'm not really sure." He admitted. "I feel like all of this was too easy, and I need to prove my worth or something. Kind of like how Nord battle for honor maybe. And I need to check around and see if there's any sort of magic not allowed on campus." He was nearly positive necromancy was illegal, but he'd heard rumors otherwise. No harm in checking. "So I'll probably just be checking around the College for a bit. Are you heading somewhere or something? Oh, you're probably going back out to let the rest of your crew know you got into the College, since they didn't come with."
