xxxx close enough, zeke couldn't take this any longer, and huffed, looking at kali a few times. his hand that wasn't resting on aylen's shoulder soon balled into a tight fist. it was bad enough he had saved kali, and still hadn't told anyone. he figured kali would have told them by now, but, he was lucky. the only others that knew had to be gage, audrey, and him and kali. and he hoped it would stay that way for the time being. he looked at the sky, seeing very little stars through the canopy of trees. he was still not believing that aylen agreed to such a crazy idea. he gently shook his head before his gaze landed back on the ground.

xxxx zeke felt like a caged up dog, that couldn't get free. he huffed, and glanced over at kali before back at the rest of his pack mates. friends. enemies. frenemies. friends. and enemies once again. no, he couldn't become partners with kali, he definitely didn't want to take orders from her. when aylen announced the were staying in separate cabins - for now - and he couldn't help but sigh. he still didn't want to merge the packs together, and he still thought this was crazy, but he decided not to argue any longer, or he would get the; "don't" gesture from aylen.

xxxx once more, zeke's gaze fell on kali, and he felt terrible for what had happened. he looked at her a few seconds before looking at the crescent pack members. ha, they definitely wouldn't do to well with zeke making their coffee, and he wouldn't be fine with them making his coffee either. he huffed, and glanced back at kali, getting itchy to just ask her how her arm was doing. why..?

⊰ heated / cooperative. Kali looked back at Ingrid, examining her out of the corner of her eye and making sure that the fea was doing alright. She seemed awfully distressed and this was a huge blow on everyone, but she was sure that Ingrid would take it harder than others. It would be so difficult to work side by side with those who were once enemies. Regardless, Kali knew that Ingrid could do it and make it alright, and she was sure that with time everything would settle and smooth out. At least for now they could stay in their separate cabins. That would at least ease them into it somewhat.

Kali turned her eyes back onto Aylen and Zeke once more, for the last time. She glanced them over for a final look, and did something she never expected herself to do: she stepped away from Gage and extended a hand towards Zeke. It was her trying to come to terms with the situation, regardless of how she felt about the pack or about him. Things would be just fine. Even if they weren't. She stared right into Zeke's eyes, almost looking into his soul, and knowing that they would have to tough it out or this conjoined pack thing would never take off. Kali would try her hardest no matter how bad she wanted to rip out his throat sometimes.

"Truce." Her voice was strong and powerful, there was no quiver or hesitation as the one syllable escaped her lips. There was no hate, no love, no happiness, no anger. It was one word that packed a thousand punches. It was a word that could have ten thousand meanings, but this time it only had one. This was going to work, no matter what. The minute that Zeke shook her hand, she turned and walked away without looking back at Gage or her packmates. She had work to do in the cabin, layouts to go over, how they were going to manage to afford twice the mouths to feed, and how she was going to be the beta of not one but two packs.

xxxxxxx feeling Zeke squeeze her shoulder lightly, she looked back at the pack behind her. The wind picked up, tossing some of the branches in the trees bordering the clearing. She chewed on her lower lip, her eyes locking once again with Ares. She knew he was slightly upset, but she also knew that he would do anything for her, and that was what she needed. She looked up at Zeke, he was almost a whole foot taller than her. Being only 5'1, she didn't look very powerful, but in all reality, she could really knock Zeke down the ground. She wrinkled her face up, pressing her lips together and closing her eyes, listening to the winds rush through the tall pine trees.

She really didn't know what to do for the whole joining of the packs, so she began to think. The groups that would begin to become friends would start to merge together, and go on hunting trips together, and all the food would double. There would eventually be more mouths to feed when people started to fall in love...oh right...love...somehow within maintaining a pack with Gage, she would have to find someone to raise a family with, continue the blood line of alphas like she had always been told to do.
