"later, slightly," keiran offered a wave as james left, briefly considering suggesting he hire some movers to unpack for him so he could spend more time by the fountain, but thankfully he didn't. now he had no choice but to keep his attention on avery and her ─ shudder ─ dog. why must the good struggle so much.

his gaze fell to avery's dog. he was pretty small, like his kitten, and he had to admit he wasn't the ugliest thing he'd ever seen. but of course, he had to go and ruin the puny amount of cuteness by shaking out his stupid fur. ugh. keiran grimaced, stepping back from avery to prevent any more water from hitting him. "ewugh, fine. if i call him cute, will he stop ruining my clothes?" he tugged at the hem of his shirt, wringing out what he could. "whatever. i'm not mad. anymore, at least. and since i have nothing better to do, you have the honor of still having me in your company. but not with that dog still here. and not before i change." he tapped his pocket to see if his phone was still there and, most importantly, dry before starting toward the dormitories. he needed to change ─ which he often did several times a day anyway ─ and he hadn't seen his dorm since this morning, so he figured it was about time he checked up on all the progress he had no part in. he sent a glance back toward avery, "you comin'? that dog's gotta stay in your room if you expect me to stick around."

''oh you must be so excited delilah!'' giggled her adoptive mother, who was sitting beside her in the car taking her to her new school. delilah's long and thin arms were wrapped around her waist and she gave a faint smile to her mother. her mother seem to be more excited about college than delilah herself was. not that delilah wasn't happy, it's just her mother seem to take everything an extra mile. her brown eyes glanced towards the window when the car stop and she let out a huge breath she had been holding. she opened the door of the car and watched as her mother's driver handed her the two suitcases that lilah had stuffed in the back. she muttered a quiet thank you before letting her mom hug her tightly and make lilah promise to call her. she watched as the vehicle left the parking lot and delilah turned to look at her new playground. oh how exciting this was going to be. first things first, she needed to unpack. she rolled her two suitcases behind her as she made it to her dorm and opened the door to room number ten.

she gripped her key and unlocked the door to her room, luckily her roommate wasn't here. she decided she would have the bed closest to the window and propped both of her suitcases on her bed and decided to unpack. of course, she gave up halfway. she decided she had unpacked enough that she could do the rest later that night. she entered the washroom to fix herself up just a bit for first impression, pulling her ombre hair into a ponytail and reapplying the blush she had on her cheeks before turning to head out onto campus. her baby pink skirt swayed around as she bounced on her heels and found a few students speaking around the foundation. this school seemed big, huge to be exact. lilah knew she was probably going to get lost and be late, and she hated being late. she hated being anything but right.

''you need to stop spending all your time on that stupid ipad of yours.'' sean's aunt scolded him through the phone, while sean's fingers were to busy working on a design of a project he's been working on. ''aunt cas you don't understand. this is really important to me. my ipad has everything, my ideas, my projects.'' sean whined as he turned off the ipad and listened to whatever his aunt needed to see. ''i know that sean but you also need to make friends. robots and technology wont always keep you company.'' sean scoffed. ''whatever i got to go, i'll call you later.'' sean hung up, his aunt could sometimes be annoying. but then again he was the only family sean has. the black haired boy was sitting in his new room, his roommate was no where to be found. his things hadn't been unpacked yet, four boxes laid beside his bed along with his suitcase. but why should sean even bother to pack just yet? he had all the time in the world and two he was too busy working on this robot design. sean had always had an interest in inventing things, and right now he was very into robots.

when sean was only four he had created a way to read in the bathtub, and when he was seven he had created an app inspired by the movie clueless that shows you what outfits you can wear and what you have in your closet. the brown haired boy turned back on his ipad and swiped to play some falloutboy and stood up from his bed. he wondered when his roommate would arrived and what was he going to be like. hopefully not weird, or creepy like he takes showers at two in the morning or wears his underwear inside out.

james let out a frustrated huff as he fumbled with all of the items in his arms. it probably would have been smarter to set down his two boxes before attempted to unlock the door, but james wasn't one to think before acting -or to admit he couldn't handle the task. finally with a satisfying click, the lock turned over, allowing james to open the door. he managed to turn the knob with the side of his hand, and bumped the door with his hip to prop it open as he shuffled inside.

the first thing he noticed about the room was that it was bigger than he'd expected. to this his lips perked up in the slightest. the second thing he noticed was the boy standing next to one of the beds. this didn't excite him quite as much, but he gave a nod to him regardless. the third thing he noticed was the music. to this his smile grew even further, and his eyebrows shot up in amusement. "is this fall out boy?" he asked, oddly giddy for a boy carrying two rather heavy boxes and clad in drenched clothing. he set his boxes down with a soft grunt and decided to regard the latter, rather than have his new roomie jump to conclusions and possibly think he was crazy. "i'm slightly, and i'm not usually this wet." he introduced, before waving a hand as to dismiss the topic, "it's a long story. there was a dog and a fountain and it made for a terrible outcome." he shrugged.

as he waited for the boy to introduce himself, he decided to being tackling his boxes. he stuffed the box of "essentials" under his bed and began unpacking his own belongings. he didn't have much, plus he'd gotten quite good at the whole packing/unpacking ordeal after being moved from home to home, so he knew it wouldn't take long. he was itching to get out and explore more.

sean didn't hear the noise of a click coming from the door, but did hear the sound of the doorknob turning. it must be his roommate, oh how exciting. he gave a small nod to the boy as he stuffed his hands into the back pockets of his jeans before realizing he had asked sean a question. he gave the smallest smile and nodded. fall out boy was his favorite band, he loved all their music. he gave a quick look over towards the boy, who was drenched in water. he nodded as 'slightly' had introduced himself. ''interesting, i'm sean.'' the boy's dark brown hair fell over his eyes and he raised his hand to brush it off, boy he needed a haircut.

sean slipped off the maroon hoodie he had on and balled it up before throwing it on the bed and decided to might as well unpack to get that out of his hair and so he doesn't end up staying up late and being late on the first day of school. he hadn't packed alot, he took out his laptop and his charger and placed it on the desk. he wasn't in a hurry, he wasn't one to explore the campus and was mostly likely to roam around his dorm room. sean started to think of something to ask the boy. ''hows the campus?''

Avery watched Slightly walk off and twisted her head to look at Keiran. She wasn't sure she wanted to spend her time with him. She somewhat felt bad though. He was the kind of guy that no one liked because he was so arrogant and cocky. No one liked people like that except the person themselves. She looked down at her dog and her extremely wet clothes. Noticing she had nothing better to do and she my as well keep poor Keiran company she decided, why not? She looked back up at him giving a soft sigh. "That doesn't sound so bad. I think we could both use some changed clothes. How about we go change and we meet down here in the cafe in about ten minutes? I will buy you a drink," She told Keiran. With that she smiled and gave him a little wave. She wasn't going to show her irritation with his attitude as she left with her little pup pulling her down the way.

When Avery reached her room and sighed shutting the door. She looked around and it seemed that her roommate Nyx had still not returned to their shared dormitory. Avery shrugged to herself and leaded Buddy into her room. She dried him off with a towel from her bathroom and took off her wet clothes. She hung them to dry and chose a new outfit. She grabbed herself a white shirt and a light blue and purple plaid, three quarter length sleeved shirt. She fixed her hair a bit and looked in the mirror. She was happy with this outfit and with that she threw off her socks and landed herself a nice pair of silver flip flops. She glanced down at Buddy who was barking playfully and she got down on her knees. She grabbed him in her hands and kissed his little head. He licked her face and she laughed. "Wish me good luck with Mr. Drama Queen would you?" She told him before gently setting him down and smiling.

Avery left her dorm feeling much fresher now that she was out of her damp clothes. She walked down the stairs deciding to take them for extra exercise as she headed towards the cafe. She wondered if she would be there first. Considering how vain Keiran was she figured he would probably get caught up looking in the mirror and forget about her. Maybe that was almost a good thing. She pushed the thought aside and put a smile on her face as she headed in the same direction she had chased Buddy only a few minutes before.
