║╚══════════╝ Minasa looked at him silently, a lump forming in her throat as she tried to piece together her words. She had to think hard about what to say and how to say it without looking weak and helpless. She opened her mouth to speak multiple times but nothing escaped her lips. She sat up straight on the bed, trying her hardest to remain calm and collected. "I.. I'm alright." she struggled to get out, knowing he could see right through her meager lie. She didn't want to think about it, she didn't want to talk about it, she built up a wall to suppress the pain and emotions she had felt and it was crumbling inside of her like sand.
Looking up at Coyote a small salty drop rolled down her cheek... She didn't know why she wanted so badly to confide in him over the others but she trusted him and knew her weakness would not been seen as such to him. Honestly non of her 'family' would think of her this way, and they all were fighting through something and understood her pain as their own. As she looked at him, struggling to speak her mood calmed slightly, he was collected and calm and to her she could feel the vibe of understanding coming from where he stood. Opening her mouth to speak once more she struggled. "I'm.. I'm not okay..." she started before the walls had finally crumbled, sending tears crashing down her face. It wasn't a pretty sight, her crying, but it wasn't ugly either. Just sad...

A new mission sounded rather good at the moment. It brought a brief distraction from his wondering thoughts. A small smirk traveled across Tiergan's face. It had seemed like forever since their last actual mission and he was starting to feel antsy. In retrospect this would either make or break their new found comrade, Ayame. To him she looked week, but you could never judge someone on appearance alone. He had seen her fight many a time and she didn't seem too bad. At the very least she wasn't expected to do much this time around. He fixed his gaze onto the sky. Its nearly cloudless features seemed to calm down his anticipation, for now. For someone known to be rather high strung it was odd to see him content like this. With a huff he stood up and stared around the training grounds. Counting himself there was only two others in the area. The others must have wondered away. Hayato was leaning on a fence post, his face looked completely calm. Tiergan may not have been the smartest in the world but he could tell something was weighing on his mind. Running a hand through his hair he walked over to the man. It was always a mystery as to what he was thinking. That part of their leader had ticked him off slightly. Being together like this meant they had to have infallible trust in each other. To him it felt like Hayato kept everything to himself, not trusting them with his worries. He knew to leave well enough alone so he never said anything about it. However that never changed that fact that it did annoy him. "It will be fine." It wasn't a lie, or so he believed. This mission didn't sound too threatening at all. He was fairly confident that if any of them were truly week they wouldn't have lived this long. Even before this, they all had a past. The week don't last long in this kind of world.
Josephine had yet again appeared out of nowhere. She waltzed back into the training area, food in hand. The girl really did go shopping then. "Honestly, did you get lost or something?" He said it more as a joke then anything. It seemed to him that she took forever getting back here. At the very least she was back now, which meant they were going to discuss the mission. Strategy was never his strong suit. As much as he would love to share his opinions he knew to keep quiet during discussions. Only speak when spoken to, a rule he hated but for some reason never got away from. He sighed and stared out into the distance.

Josephine
Josie looked up over at the fence and saw Tigeran and Hayato over by it. "Ah! Hayato! Tigrean!" She shoved the rest of the cookie in her mouth and swung under the railing and landed. She jogged over to them and wiped her face to get rid of the cookie crumbs. "I saw a black bird on my way back! Do we have a mission? Please say yes!"
Josie turned toward Tigeran when he spoke to her. She glared and put her fists on her hips. "For your information, Mrs. Holly wanted to have a conversation with me when I was at the bakery picking up cookies for you guys. Some boys were bothering her with questions about me. Apparently I'm quite the catch." Josie crossed her arms in triumph. For some reason she found it nessacary to rub the fact in his face. Since she had arrived here Tigeran had always been the first to pick on her. Now she had some proof that she wasn't a little kid like many thought she was.

Hayato Mikoshiba - Male - Leader - 24 - Tagged;; Josephine, Tiergan
As Hayato leaned on the fence post, he let his mind wander. He was rather glad that the mission seemed simple, but he was also a bit worried about Ayame. Sure, the mission itself wouldn't be too terribly difficult for anyone. However, this would be the first mission that the girl would go on. Killing someone for the first time was always a strange experience. The adrenaline rush that flowed through your body and made you almost giddy as the person fought back, the nerves and fear that made it nearly impossible to move. It wasn't an easy job that Night Raid had, but it was theirs. They were the ones that did the dirty work, and Hayato wouldn't have it any other way. He hadn't realized that his mind had wandered until he suddenly heard Tiergan's voice near him. Keeping a rather stoic expression, he turned to look at the other man. He only offered a nod, staring off again for a moment.
Josephine appeared and headed over to them, drawing Hayato's attention. "Yes. We do have a new mission. It's quick and simple." He relayed the information about it to the young girl before glancing over at Tiergan. "Later, at dinner, we can discuss the actual strategy of it all. For now..." His words dwindled off, the sentence never finishing. He just kept his eyes trained in the distance, both hopeful for and dreading the mission. After another moment of staring, he stepped away from the fence and headed back to the training yard. Drawing his swords, he started to train once more. This time, instead of running a simple kata, he started replaying a fight in his mind. His eyes remained closed as he moved, fighting off invisible enemies. The battle raging in his mind was the one where he lost his last team mate from his old squad, a promising young man named Corbin. Everything had been going fine until the soldier he assumed dead had jumped up and surprised Corbin with a quick sword attack. It was after that when Hayato adopted the practice of making sure every enemy was dead when he killed them.

Josephine
Josie listened eagerly to the missions detail. She loved the adrenaline rush that came with her weapon. She kick the small gun had in her hand when she fired, the smell after she fired a Black Dust, all of it left her filled with energy, ready to burst from her body at a moments notice.
When Hayato left to go and train some more, she took his place on the fence and leaned against it. She watched him for a while, every swing of his swords, where he placed his foot. It was a little while before she noticed something that amazed her: his eyes were closed. She didn't know why but that upset her. Firing a gun with closed eyes meant missing her target and wasting a bullet. Josie sighed and pushed herself up to sit on the fence and stood up on it, mainly because she wanted a better view of the city. "Hey, Tigeran?" Josie's eyes remained transfixed on The City. "I know I may be stepping out of lines when I say this but, what's it like to lose someone? Do you know? I mean, I'm much younger than all of you guys and the only memories I have can only be traced back to when I woke up in the woods."
Josie shook her head. What am I doing? This is none of my buisness. I'm not supposed to be serious like the others. I'm supposed to make them smile and laugh. Josie moved her sky blue eyes to Tigeran and smiled. "I'm sorry. It wasn't my place to ask such a question. I don't even know why I did it." She sat back down on the fence. "Hey I heard a new joke in town! Wanna hear it? I laughed for like five minutes straight."

Before he had finished talking Hayato had walked away. Tiergan was a little curious as to what was on the man's mind but he had a feeling it would dig up old wounds to say anything. He watched their leader pause and then start training by himself. The guy was clearly very competent in his own right so there was no need for him to worry, or so he thought. In that sense he respected this man. It was very hard to earn his respect but if anyone deserved it, it was him. At the words of another he stopped watching Hayato and focused his attention elsewhere. For a moment Tiergan didn't quite know what was being asked of him. It was a very bleak and dark question to ask at a time like this. Josephine was another odd person in his eyes. She always played at being happy and cheerful to the point of obviousness. A question like that was out of the ordinary for her. He turned to her but didn't say anything. How could someone answer a question like that? Then again he wasn't really the person to ask that kind of thing. The only people he truly felt a loss for where his parents. That, however, was long ago and he had long since become numb to that feeling. People died every day and after sometime he had just stopped feeling anything for it. It sickened him slightly to think that he had become used to this kind of life. Expressionlessly he mumbled a few words under his breath. "Being powerless is infuriating." When he started to think about his past he always become irritated. It was something he never wanted to think about. Thankfully Josephine had broken his musing and changed the subject completely. His face lighted up slightly and he smirked. "Alright, but it better be funny." Josephine was the youngest out of all of them. She was rather quirky and amusing at times so he humored her and stayed by her side. While he wasn't too interested in the joke there wasn't much to do right now anyway. Training never really interested him and he only did it when he was asked to. He wasn't particularly lazy but he had a hard time getting motivated to do things. Minasa and Coyote had both disappeared into the base and showed no signs of coming back out anytime soon. He sighed slightly and turned his gaze back up towards the sky. It was the only thing that ever remained a constant in this world and in that it comforted him.

"Okay, Okay!" Josie hopped down from the fence and stood in front of Tigeran. She really hoped that he though the joke was funny. After all she had just been the one to bring the mood down.
"How do you make Holy Water?" Josie stood there, her lips drawn into a thin line while she tried to hold back her laughter. The joke still made her laugh when she thought about it. Josie didn't wait for Tigeran to respond. "You boil the h*ll out of it." Josie jumped back laughing. She doubled over and soon fell to the ground, laughing uncontrollably. Soon her chuckles turned into snorts. "Do ya get it? Ca-cause you boil water and-...and....Hahaha! I'm sorry! I love this joke!" Josie reached up and wiped a tear that had escaped from her eye. She looked up a Tigeran with a huge smile on her face.

Coyote was kneeling before Minasa just as soon as she began to cry. Wrapping an arm around her, he pulled her head to his chest. 'Let it all out. I will shoulder this burden of yours, my dearest friend. I will shoulder all of your burdens, every last one of them.' Those were the words conveyed by his emotions, a single tear dripping down his cheek. For him, it was quite surprising to find that tear. He'd thought that all of his had dried up long ago, replaced by the blood he had spilled so often. Coyote remembered clearly how he had been before Hayato had found him, had taken him on as a member of Night Raid. All that had he existed for was creating a trail of red that led closer and closer to the capital. All those men, all that blood dripping from Draglancer. He could see every last bit of it in his mind's eye, but blocked it out. He had someone else's troubles to worry about right now, someone dear to him. Did Hayato know how Coyote felt about the second-in-command? It could very well be that the ex-soldier's boss knew very well what one-sided love existed between the two. Coyote would ask the man later on, after the mission was over. Well, asked was a poor choice of words. It was more like Coyote would merely express his question and Hayato would somehow know what he was asking. The answer would come after that.

║╚══════════╝ Minasa smiled when he wrapped his arm around her, the tears still falling, but slowing now. It was nice honestly, having someone there to help her through her pain. She had tried for so long to handle it herself and be strong about it that she honestly didn't know where this mass of liquid was even stored in her body. She had never cried this much on her own before and now she just couldn't seem to stop...
Lifting a hand from her lap she wiped at the tears, trying to rub the red from her eyes as she did so. There was no need for words between the two, he understood exactly how she felt and she could understand him perfectly. He would be there to help her through this, all of them would, she just needed this moment to realize it.
It felt nice sitting there, the warmth from his arm soothing her pain, but sadly she didn't have time to relish in his company. There were things to be done before the mission that she needed to see to, even if all she wanted was to stay there forever. Taking a deep breath she sat up, taking his arm in her hand as she removed it. "Coyote,.. Thank you." she said to him, the sincerest smile spreading across her face. Her eyes were still puffy, but the tears had stopped now. Placing a hand on his cheek she smiled, her heart wishing they could continue to console each others pain but her mind not ready to take on anothers..
"Come on... We should probably be getting ready." she said softly, her voice still shaky from the tears...

Hayato Mikoshiba - Male - Leader - 24 - Tagged;; Josephine, Tiergan
As he practiced, Hayato moved easily through the battle. It would be forever etched in his mind, something he wished that he could forget. As his run through came to a close, his eyes flashed open as he started into a coughing fit. He held his elbow up to his mouth to cover his coughing, and it stopped after a moment. Gratefully gulping in fresh air, he shoved his swords back into their sheaths. His eyes were drawn over to Tiergan and Josephine. She had apparently found something rather humorous to discuss with the older boy, as she was currently laughing hysterically and rolling on the ground. Shaking his head lightly, he turned and walked quickly towards the base. It was starting to near dusk, and they needed a good dinner to keep them alert during the mission.
Once inside the base, he didn't see Minasa or Coyote anywhere. Knowing them, they were each in their rooms. Before they went on the mission later, Hayato planned on talking to Minasa. He knew that she was more than capable of holding her own in battle, but he still wanted to speak with her. He hadn't really found a good time before now, and it was something he wanted to do. The kitchen was empty, as expected, and he favored leaving the lights off. A decorative array of candles rested in the middle of the table, and he just lit those instead. Moving to the fridge and cupboards, he retrieved everything he needed. A healthy mixture of meat and vegetables for everyone, even those that didn't like meat. He would just serve them less- protein was important at times like these.
He set about cooking, his mind wandering as he did. He'd never seen the viscount's house before, but he could imagine what it would be like- large, a few guards here and there to protect him from the infamous Night Raid. The guards would be nothing, unless one had an Imperial Arms. He highly doubted that an Arms user would be spared for a lowly Viscount, though, and for that he was grateful. The cooking process was rather simple, and he was soon dishing up the meal. Everyone's plate looked rather similar, though it was a bit personalized for everyone. He sat at his own place, head resting on his hands. Everyone would eventually trickle in, as they always did. For now, he just wanted to get his bearings back after the training.
