Melakai grinned at Elias and stuck out his tongue. He leaned against the cushy back of the booth, lacing his fingers together behind his head. "Congratulations, Violet. I may have to challenge you to a tossing-stuff-in-the-trash-bin contest one day." He said, directing the comment towards Violet as she made the shot into the garbage can. He tilted his head and gave a brief glance up at the ceiling before looking back at the trio that sat at the table with him. "I suppose it would kill us, wouldn't it? Pity. I'm too young to die." He bit his lip, thinking. His gaze landed on his friend, Calem. "Yo Cal, what'cha thinking about?" Kai asked, noticing the far-away look in Calem's eyes. Dreaming of castles and rescuing princesses in medieval times?" He teased, poking the boy's shoulder.

His gaze then drifted over to Stephen and Indie, who were having a spat. "Oh brother. They're both so stuck-up and ignorant. You know what...actually, they'd be perfect for eachother." Kai wrinkled his nose, his eyes narrowing to slits as he glared at the duo. He was glad he wasn't interested in Indie. She was too...girly. He liked fun-loving and shy girls. Although, not shy enough to stop them from standing up for themselves - take Violet for example. Kai sighed lightly and drummed his fingers on the table, jerking himself out of his thoughts.

Tottie
Ponce

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
name/ antonella ponce.
age/ seventeen.
crush/ fletcher, calem.

where/ starbucks.
tagged/ all, violet.

→ the dreamer ←

antonellaafter leaving the library, Tottie walked towards the place where all had arranged to meet at, starbucks, which was actually located in the same block as the bookstore. she was absolutely pleased with her purchase: it was a novel she 'd been looking for everywhere, "el túnel" by sabato, to practice her spanish. The young lady stopped on her tracks a few steps away from the cafe. through the windows she could spy on her classmates and on the boys that lived over the river. she had been longing for this meeting so much, and now that she was already here she couldn't bear the idea of having to sip coffee around calem and fletcher. but you'll gain nothing by standing here, said the cheery voice in her head, but you won't risk losing anything either, said the bitter and fearful one. hesitating, tottie looked down at her toes. don't be a fool... you always end up having fun one way or another... with this merry thought and an inviting twitch on the right corner of her mouth, she entered starbucks. besides, i'm probably so late i won't have any time to ask for any beverage.
antonellaindeed, that was the case. she couldn't exactly tell at first, but she noticed not everyone was here. assuming that her good gentle friend would know and tell her, she made her way to sit next to her, while atempting a shy hand wave and a "hi" at the rest of them. tempted, she as well gave an intense and quick glare headed her crushes' way, but she wouldn't notice if they returned it. when she finally found her spot by violet, she asked simply, beaming, "hey vi, what's been going on?"

FLETCHER
fitz
the belligerent │ tags: indie, stephen

His first thought after speaking was not so much a thought but instead a question pointed to himself: was that a good idea? He glanced from Stephen to Indie in hopes of making the answer clear but only saw Stephen staring at him with a look and Indie beginning to spit out a reply to his advice. Hey, he thought that it wasn't too shabby for being made up right on the spot, but Indie was making it clear that she thought otherwise even as she pretended to take it seriously, while, of course, adding another insult aimed at Stephen in the mix of it all. Fletcher could admit that his friend did deserve some of it for all of the words he'd thrown to Indie's face in just the past few minutes, but he couldn't help but guess that the situation was now becoming too out of hand.

And he was about to interrupt Indie's response to his advice to give out some more to both of them when he caught her last sentence flying his way. As he digested what she had said, his previous thoughts were all quickly flushed away. Raising an eyebrow in surprise, he shot an inquisitive look over at her. His head was now swirling, and as much as he would like to accept her flirtatious offer, he decided to play it cool and not make himself seem to be a complete creep. Perhaps he had already proved himself to be one, but that wasn't any of his concern. It was going to be a challenge to keep his real thoughts contained.

"Maybe another time." He bluntly replied to her offer. "I'd love to take my chances on you now, but I have a feeling that I will be seeing you again in the future, Miss Radcliffe." As he briefly heard Stephen snap another remark at the girl behind him and witnessed him heading outside, he made the decision that now would be the time to follow and try to calm his friend down - if Stephen would even give him the time of day. With a final wink in return to Indie, he set off on his next adventure. Yet somehow he believed what he had told her. He had a feeling that he would be seeing her again.

CALEM
WRIGHT

Calem snapped out of his daze when Melakai spoke. He admitted he was feeling jealousy toward him at the moment, so he didn't want to talk much. "Nothing really." Calem replied blandly, looking out the window rather than looking at him. He lied. That was a big, fat lie. But, of course, saying how he really felt would make him seem like a weak, pathetic brat. His gaze still lay on the other side of the window, watching cars pass by, watching elderly people feed birds. It was a nice day out. He turned back to his friends, then held up his black iPhone 4S to check the time. "Say, why don't we get out of here? We've been here for more than an hour." Calem said, mostly aimed at Elias, who he wasn't feeling bitter toward at the moment, but toward everyone at the same time. "It's a nice day out, and it's getting crowded in this coffee shop." Calem stood up from his chair, making a loud sound as the metal chair scraped the tile floor. He winced at the loud sound, and pushed the chair in. He put his phone in his pocket, followed by his hand. His other hand followed procedure and entered his other pocket. He felt comfort in his pockets; it didn't leave his arms just swinging around pointlessly. He walked toward the door, squeezing past Indie and Romaine. He caught the heavy of the door right when Stephen walked out, a little pissed honestly, but he just pushed it open anyway. The bell rang and a cool breeze gently caressed him. He held the door for whomever would walk out behind him, wondering what everyone would do next. Go back to campus? Unlikely. Walk around town? Maybe. He wasn't really much of a planner like that, so he usually just left it up to the group.

Trinity stayed silent for a long while, nursing her coffee and occasionally gazing around the coffee shop, even though it wasn't really that exciting. Of course, the drama that had happened between Stephen and Indie was quite a sight to behold, but even that could get old for a while, especially when the person who seemingly got the upper hand was someone you didn't especially like. When a voice sounded by her ear, Trinity looked up to see Tottie slide into a seat next to Violet, beaming from ear to ear. "Nothing much. We've just been getting acquainted with these fellows over here." She answered in Violet's stead, using her coffee cup to point to the three guys opposite them. "They've been having fun throwing coffee cups halfway across the room. Violet's just taken the lead with one point." Trinity deadpanned, the corners of her lips twitching up in a wry grin. Retreating again into a content silence, Trinity took a sip of her coffee, draining it, a slight smile on her face; between rebounding coffee cups and making witty comments, it seemed Violet was relaxing and having a great time, something Trinity really didn't want to butt into. Simply seeing her friend so happy and exuberant made the sable-haired girl smile.
